😈 A video of Nabil Absi, a Muslim man originally from Algeria but lives in Quebec, Canada, has stunned many.
The video showed the man dressed in Catholic priestly attire and walked right into a Catholic church during mass. He went close to the priest, spread his Islamic prayer mat and performed the Islamic ritual to the shock of the congregants who watched him while also reciting their Christian hymnal song simultaneously.
Members of Parliament in Canada have condemned the action of the man who disrupted the church mass, reported Epoch Times.
“This disruption of a Catholic Mass is appalling. It’s also a criminal act,” wrote Conservative MP Michael Barrett on X (formerly Twitter) Jan. 25.
Independent MP Kevin Vuong also commented on the video on X.
“This must be condemned as we would if this was done to any other religion,” said Mr. Vuong.
“Similarly, more needs to be acted on re: acts of arson against churches. The case for an Office of Religious Freedom with an international AND domestic mandate becomes ever stronger to protect all of faith.”
In a video he posted to his Facebook page, Mr. Absi can be seen walking up to the priest presiding over the Mass.
“Excuse me, my father,” Mr. Absi says in French to the priest. “I can’t find a mosque, would it bother you if I prayed over there? It’s a sacred place.”
The priest politely agrees and gestures toward the floor a few feet away.
The camera then pans over to an elderly woman taking in the scene. She makes the sign of the cross. Mr. Absi’s video captions the action with the phrase, “She is shocked,” including a laughter emoji.
Mr. Absi begins to pray on a small carpet in Islamic fashion. After a while, he leaves and thanks the priest on his way out.
Mr. Barrett noted the muted response of the congregation to the events that took place.

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
I thank Your Highnesses for your hospitality, for your steadfast support for the World Health Organization and global health, and for the opportunity to address you today.
It’s a great pleasure to be back in Dubai. I was honoured to be here in December last year for COP28 – the first COP to include a day dedicated to health, and I thank the UAE for its leadership in giving health such a prominent place in the climate agenda. It was the first of its kind. Thank you, UAE, for being a pathfinder.
Let me be clear: WHO did not impose anything on anyone during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not lockdowns, not mask mandates, not vaccine mandates.
We don’t have the power to do that, we don’t want it, and we’re not trying to get it.
Our job is to support governments with evidence-based guidance, advice and, when needed, supplies, to help them protect their people.
But the decisions are theirs. And so is the pandemic agreement.
It has been written by countries, for countries, and will be implemented in countries in accordance with their own national laws.
In fact, WHO will not even be a party to the agreement. The parties are governments and governments alone.
Far from ceding sovereignty, the agreement actually affirms national sovereignty and national responsibility in its foundational principles.
Indeed, the agreement is itself an exercise of sovereignty.
It’s about the commitments countries are making to keep themselves and each other safer from pandemics.
And it recognizes that they can only do that by working with each other.
Latest report on Christian persecution chronicles the rising danger of Islamic militants and autocratic regimes, from Nigeria to Nicaragua.
❖ nearly 5,000 Christians murdered last year,
❖ more than 4,000 detained,
❖ almost 300,000 displaced,
❖ and an estimated 365 million persecuted for their Christian faith.
❖ 1 in 5 Christians are persecuted in Africa
❖ 2 in 5 Christians are persecuted in Asia
❖ 32 out of 50 are Muslim-majority Countries
That means one in seven Christians around the world currently experience high, and sometimes dangerously violent levels of persecution on a daily basis.
Sub-Saharan Africa—the epicenter of global Christianity—remains the epicenter of violence against followers of Jesus, according to the 2024 World Watch List (WWL). The latest annual accounting from Open Doors ranks the top 50 countries where it is most dangerous and difficult to be a Christian.
The concerning tallies of martyrdoms and abductions are actually lower than in last year’s report. But Open Doors emphasizes they are “absolute minimum” figures. It attributed both declines to a period of calm in advance of Nigeria’s last presidential election. Yet Nigeria joined China, India, Nicaragua, and Ethiopia as the countries driving the significant increase in attacks on churches.
Overall, 365 million Christians live in nations with high levels of persecution or discrimination. That’s 1 in 7 Christians worldwide, including 1 in 5 believers in Africa, 2 in 5 in Asia, and 1 in 16 in Latin America.
And for only the fourth time in three decades of tracking, all 50 nations scored high enough to register “very high” persecution levels on Open Doors’ matrix of more than 80 questions. So did 7 more nations that fell just outside the cutoff. Syria and Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, entered the tier of “extreme” persecution, raising its count to 13 nations.
North Korea ranked No. 1, as it has every year except for 2022 when Afghanistan briefly displaced it. The rest of the top 10 reshuffled but remained the same: Somalia (No. 2), Libya (No. 3), Eritrea (No. 4), Yemen (No. 5), Nigeria (No. 6), Pakistan (No. 7), Sudan (No. 8), Iran (No. 9), and Afghanistan (No. 10).
The deadliest country for Christians was Nigeria, with more than 4,100 Christians killed for their faith—82 percent of the global tally. Overall, 15 sub-Saharan countries scored “extremely high” on Open Doors’ violence metric. In Mali (No. 14) and Burkina Faso, jihadists exploited breakdowns in government security, while attacks on churches grew sharply in Ethiopia (No. 32).

👹 Satanic Temple Sets Up Holiday Display Inside Iowa State Capitol Building
The Satanic Temple set up a holiday homage to the occult “deity” Baphomet in the Iowa Statehouse, drawing concern from Christians about the “abhorrent” and “evil” display.
“We’re going to really relish the opportunity to be represented in a public forum. We don’t have a church on every street corner,” co-founder of the Satanic Temple Lucien Greaves told KCCI News.
On its website, the Satanic Temple claims that it does not actually worship or believe in the existence of Satan. Instead it claims to “encourage benevolence and empathy, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practical common sense, oppose injustice, and undertake noble pursuits.” The Satanic Temple also fights for the “right” to kill the unborn and the abolishment of corporal punishment in schools.
Shellie Flockhart from Dallas Center organized a prayer group on Wednesday around the Christmas Tree in the center of the rotunda to oppose the Satanic display.
“It’s a very dark, evil force, and I truly hope people know how to battle that,” Flockhart said. “I hope that people realize spiritual warfare is real. That there are evil satanic forces that are trying to infiltrate our state,” she said.
Eastern Iowa Pastor Joel Tenney with Alpha Pneuma Ministries called the display a “travesty.”
“It’s abhorrent to see something like a display like this. It’s a travesty, to see in our Capitol. I don’t know why it’s allowed to be here. I’m going to work to hold whoever put this up accountable, and whoever allowed this to be put up accountable as well,” Tenney said. “If there’s some sort of concession for this to be allowed, I’m gonna work to oppose that concession and rewrite any rulings or legislation we have considering something like this.”
“God uses all evil to good, He’ll turn it to good, and so if people become aware that these things are out there, they become more alert to watch for it,” added Paul Dykstra, a retired farmer and pastor, and a prayer group leader.
