Clashes broke out for a second day in Paris between police and members of the Kurdish community angry at the killing on Friday of three members of their community. Cars were overturned, at least one vehicle was burned and small fires set alight near Republic Square, the traditional venue for demonstrations in the city where Kurds earlier held a peaceful protest. 💭 Three people have been killed after a gunman opened fire at a Kurdish cultural center and nearby cafe in Paris, prompting clashes between police and protesters on nearby streets.

French President Emmanuel Macron described it as a “heinous” attack on France’s Kurds and said his thoughts were with the victims.

Prosecutors said they were investigating whether there was a racist motive behind the attack.

A 69-year-old man has been arrested.

A skull and bones probably of human origin were discovered during the night of Friday to Saturday last, in an abandoned castle located on the commune of Trébons (Hautes-Pyrénées), about fifteen kilometers from Lourdes.
