መጽሐፈ አክሱም፤ የአክሱም ጽዮንን ታሪክ እና የርስት ጉልቷን ሥሪት የሚናገር ሲሆን ስለ ቅ/ያሬድ ዜማ ድርሰት ይናገራል። እንዲሁም በድርሳነ ዑራኤል የተገለጸውን ታሪክ (እመቤታችን ተገልጻ ቅ/ኤፍሬምንና አባ ሕርያቆስን “ዜማ እንዲደርስልኝ ውዳሴዬንና ቅዳሴዬን ለያሬድ ስጡት” ያለችውን) መዝግቧል።
“መጽሐፈ አክሱም”ትውፊትንና ታሪክን መሠረት አድርጎ የአክሱምን አመሠራረትና ታሪካዊ እድገት፣ ሃይማኖታዊና ሀገራዊ ማዕከልነት ይናገራል፡፡ ስለ አክሱም አመሠራረት፣ ሰፊ ትውፊታዊ ትንታኔ ይሰጣል፡፡ የአኹኖቹ የግሪክ እና የሮም ከተሞች እጅግ ሰፊ የነበረው የግሪክ ወሮም ግዛትና መንግሥት ታሪክ ማሳያዎች እንደመኾናቸው፤ የአኹኗ አክሱምም፣ ምሥራቅ አፍሪቃን ከደቡብ አረብ አጣምራ ትገዛ ለነበረችው የጥንታዊቷ ኢትዮጵያ (ዘመነ አክሱም) ታሪክ መዘክር ነች፡፡
‘ኢትዮጲስ’ በመጽሐፈ አክሱም ዘንድ ኑቢያን የመሠረተው የካም ልጅ ኩሽ ልጅ ነበር። በዚህ መሠረት በኢትዮጵያ የሚኖሩት ኩሺቲክ ብሔሮች አባት በመሆኑ አገሩ ‘ኢትዮጵያ’ መባሉ እንደሚገባው ይታመናል።
በመጽሐፈ አክሱም መሠረት ኩሽ የርስቱን ድርሻ ለማመልከት የአክሱምን ታላቅ ኃውልት እንዳቆመ፣ ልጁም ኢትዮጲስ በዚያ እንደተቀበረ ይታመናል። ዘራፉው የስኮትላንድ ነፃ ግንበኛ/ፍሪሜሰን ጀምስ ብሩስም በኖረበት ዘመን ይህ መጽሐፍ በኢትዮጵያ ከክብረ ነገሥት ጋር እኩል ሆኖ እንደ ከበረ ጽፎ መሰክሯል።

ይህን መጽሐፍ ዋቢ በማድረግ በተለይ በጎንደር አካባቢ የተዳቀሉት የዋቄዮ-በዓል-አላህ-ባፎሜት-ሉሲፈር ባሪያዎች/ እባቦች እና ደቡባውያን አጋሮቻቸው ታሪክን እየበረዙ የአክሱማዊቷን ኢትዮጵያ ማንነትና ምንነት ብሎም ግዛታዊ አንድነትን ለመጻረር/ለመዋጋት በመታገል ላይ መሆናቸውን ልብ እንበል።
እነዚህ የጎንደር እና ሐረር አካባቢ ዲቃላዎች ናቸው በተለይ ‘አማራ’ የተሰኘውን ማህበረሰብ እንደ በሬው ሳሩን እያሳዩ ወደ ገደል በመውሰድ ላይ ያሉት። ለዚህም ነው ይህ’ኢትዮጵያዊና ክርስቲያን ነኝ!’ የሚለው የወደቀ ወገን ከኢትዮጵያ እና ኢትዮጵያዊነት ቀንደኛ ጠላቶች ጋር አብሮ ሕዝበ ክርስቲያኑን ለመጨፍጨፍ፣ ለማስራብ፣ ለማፈናቀልና ለማሳደድ ወደ አክሱም ጽዮን የዘመተው። ይህ እጅግ በጣም አስገራሚና አሳዛኝ የሆነ ታሪካዊ ስህተት ደግሞ ጠላቶቻችንን እንኳን ሳይቀር ያስገረመና ያበረታታ ነው። እንደ ዓይኑ ብሌን ሊንከባከባት በሚገባው በአክሱም ጽዮንን ላይ ከእስማኤላውያኑ የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚ የኢትዮጵያ ጠላቶች ጋር ሆኖ ዘመተባት። ከአምስት መቶ ዓመታት በፊትም የግራኝ ቀዳማዊ ጂሃዳዊ ጦር ከሐረር ኤሚራት ተነስቶ እስከ አክሱም ጽዮን ድረስ ሊገባ የቻለው በእነዚሁ ዲቃላዎች ተመሳሳይ ክህደት ስለተፈጸመ ይሆን? ይመስላል!

The Book of Axum (Ge’ez መጽሐፈ ፡ አክሱም maṣḥafa aksūm, Amharic: meṣhafe aksūm, Tigrinya: meṣḥafe aksūm, Latin: Liber Axumae) is the name accepted since the time of James Bruce in the latter part of the 18th century CE for a collection of documents from Saint Mary’s Cathedral of Axum providing information on Ethiopian history. The earliest parts of the collection date to the mid-15th century during the reign of Zar’a Ya`qob (r. 1434-1468).
The book’s editor Carlo Conti Rossini classified the book into three parts: the first, earlier, section describes the Church Maryam Seyon in Axum prior to it being damaged in the mid-16th century, the topography of Axum and its history, and contains a list of services and the like regarding Maryam Seyon and its clergy.
The second part is dated to the early 17th century and contains 104 historical and legal texts, many dealing with land grants, along with their protocols, while the third text dates to the late 17th century and contains 14 miscellaneous legal and historical texts regarding Axum’s history. The book was also supplemented in the mid-19th century with further later documents.
The book derives the name Ethiopia from Itiyopp’is, an (otherwise unmentioned) son of the Biblical Cush. According to the Book of Axum Itiyopp’is built Mazaber, the Kingdom of Axum’s first capital.
