ጥንታዊው ቅዱስ ሚካኤል መኽዓ ገዳም፤ ትግራይ

ከመቖለ በስተሰሜን ‘ተካ ተስፋይ’ ከምትባለዋ ከተማ አጠገብ የሚገኘው ጥንታዊው ቅዱስ ሚካኤል መኽዓ ገዳም ገዳም።

ድንቅ ድንቅ ነው፤ ገና ዛሬ ማዬቴ ነው። እንደው እራሴን ደግሜ ደጋግሜ የምጠይቀው እነዚህን ትሁታን ወንድሞች እና እኅቶች ለመጨፍጨፍ እና እንዲህ የመሳሰሉትን ድንቃ ድንቅ የክርስትና፣ የኢትዮጵያ፣ የአፍሪቃ እና የዓለም ቅርሶች ለማውደም ነው “ተዋሕዶ እና ኢትዮጵያውያን ነን” የሚሉት ወገኖች በትግራይ ላይ የዘመቱት? እንግዲህ ከ አስቀያሚው ባህሪያቸውና ከብልሹው ስነ ምግባራቸው በመነሳት አህዛብ እንጅ የክርስቶስ ሕዝብ ሊሆኑ አይችሉም።

ፈተና ላይ ነንና፤ የሉሲፈር ኮከብ ያረፈበትን ባንዲራ የምትሸከሙ ወንድሞች እና እኅቶች ለትግራይ ኢትዮጵያውያን አባቶቻችን የተሰጣቸውን እና ታላቁ አፄ ዮሐንስ ያጸደቁልንን የጽዮንን ቀለማት (መገለባበጥ አለባቸው)ተመልከቱ። ትግራይን በመጨፍጨፍ ላይ ያሉት የሰይጣን ጭፍሮች በእነዚህ ቀለማት ስለሚናደዱ ገዳማቱን እና ዓብያተ ክርስቲያናቱን የጥቃት ሰለባ አድርገዋቸዋል። ለእነ ዳግማዊ ግራኝ ዕቅዳቸው፣ ፍላጎታቸውና ጂሃዳዊ ግዴታቸው እንደሆነ ስለምናውቅ ብዙም አይገርመንም ፥ የህወሓት ኢ-አማንያንስ? ዛሬም ሰይጣናዊውን “ችግር – ምላሽ – መፍትሔ / “Problem – Reaction – Solution” ‘ጥበብ’ በመጠቀም በነፍስ ቁስለኛው በትግራይ ሕዝብ ላይ የእነ አቦይ ስብሐት ነጋን የአልባኒያ ህልም እውን ለማድረግና የሉሲፈርን ባንዲራ በየግዳማቱ ካልሰቀልን ይሉ ይሆን? ወይንስ የተምቤን ዙቁሊ ሚካኤል ልጅ የሆኑትን የኢትዮጵያ ቍ. ፩ ባለውለታ የራስ አሉላ አባ ነጋን ፈለግ ተከትለው የትግራይን ሕዝብ እየጠበቀች ያለቸው ጽዮን ማርያም እንደሆነች እና ለትግራይ ኢትዮጵያውያንም እየተዋጉላቸው ያሉት ቅዱስ ሚካኤል፣ ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ፣ አባ ዘ-ወንጌልና ቅዱሳኑ ሁሉ እንደሆኑ በይፋ ይመሰክራሉ? የእግዚአብሔርን ስም እስካሁን አንዴም ስታነሱ አልሰማንም ወደዳችሁም ጠላችሁም ይህን አስመልክቶ ዛሬ የምትገኙበትን ማንነትና ምንነት የማሳወቅ ግዴታ አለባችሁ።

መቼስ አውሬው በማንጠብቀው መንገድ መጥቶና የመንፈስ ማንነታችንና ምንነታችንን ሰርቆ በዲቃላዎቹ ጭፍሮቹ አማካኝነት ሙሉ በሙሉ ሊያጠፋን ወስኗል። በተለይ ያን አስቀያሚ ባለ አምስት ፈርጥ ኮከብ ባንዲራ በሚመለክት በዛሬው የቅዱስ ሚካኤል ዕለት የተሰማኝን በቀጣዩ እምለስበታለሁ። በጣም ቁልፍ የሆነ ጉዳይ ነው።

የግራኝ ኦሮሞዎች ከእስማኤላውያን እና ኤዶማውያን ጋር አብረው አማራውን ጨፈጨፉ፥ አማራው ከግራኝ ኦሮሞዎች ፣ እስማኤላውያኑ እና ኤዶማውያኑ ጋር አብሮ ተዋሕዶ ትግራዋይን እየጨፈጨፏቸው ነው። ቅዱስ ሚካኤል ዛሬ ከትግራዋያን ጋር ብቻ ነው። ኦሮማራዎች የአቤል ደም ይጮኻል፤ ወዮላችሁ!

ለአእናፊከ። ቅዱስ ሚካኤል ሆይ፤ የነፍስ ቁስለኞችን ለማዳን መድኃኒተ ፈውስን እፍ ለሚለው እስትንፋስህ ሰላም እላለሁ። ድል አድራጊው መልአክ ሆይ ፤ ያ የቀድሞ አመፀኛው አውሬ (ዲያብሎስ) የጥንት ተንኰሉን ሊተው አልቻለምና፤ የጦር መሣሪያህን ታጥቀህ መጥተህ ድምጥማጡን አጥፋው።

የሚገርም ነው፤ ይህን የ’መልክአ ሚካኤል’አንቀጽ በረንዳ ላይ ሆኜ በማነብበት ወቅት ዛሬም ሁለት እርግቦች በድጋሚ በረንዳው ላይ አረፉ። ለካሜራ ስንቀሳቀስ በርረው ሄዱ። ፀሎቴን ስጨረስ ከፊት ለፊት ቁራው ‘በብስጭት’ ሲጮኽ ሳቄ መጣ።

ሕማማተ እግዚእ ዕለተ ሰሉስ/ማክሰኞ በገብርኤል፣ ጸሎተ ሐሙስ በማርያም፣ ዓርብ ስቅለት በ ኡራኤል፣ ቅዳሜ፤ ቀዳም ሥዑር (ሹር ቅዳሜ) በጊዮርጊስ እንዲሁም እሑድ ትንሣኤ በተክለ ሐይማኖት ዕለታት ሲውሉ ከ፸፫/73 ዓመታት በኋላ (፲፱፻፵/1940ዓ.ም)ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ መሆኑ ነው። ዘንድሮ በትግራይ ሕዝብና በአክሱም ጽዮን ላይ ጦርነት የታወጀው በእነዚህ ቀናት ነበር፤ በቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስና በአባታችን በአቡነ ተክለ ሐይማኖት ዕለታት።

👉 በ ፲፱፻፵/1940ዓ.ም የታዩ ቁልፍ ታሪካዊ ክስተቶች፦

☆ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ከግብጽ ነፃ ወጥታ የራሷን ፓትርያርክ ትመርጥ ዘንድ ሂደቱ ተጀመረ፤ በ፲፱፻፶፩/1951 ዓ.ም የመጀመሪያው ኢትዮጵያዊ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት እና የመጀመሪያው ፓትርያርክ አቡነ ባስልዮስ (ገብረ ጊዮርጊስ)ቀዳማዊ ሆኑ።

☆ ኤርትራ ከኢትዮጵያ ጋር እንደገና ትቀላቀል ዘንድ ሂደቱ ተጀመረ

☆ አይሁዶች በ ፪ሺ፱፻/2900 ዓመታት ውስጥ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ የተባበረ እና ሉዓላዊ ሀገር በመሆን ለእስራኤል ነፃነት አወጁ ፥ እስራኤል አገር ሆነች

👉 እነዚህ ታሪካዊ ክስተቶች ምንን እየጠቆሙን ይሆን?

❖ በኦሮማራው ንጉሥ አፄ ምኒልክ የተለያያኡት የትግራይ እና ኤርትራ ትግርኛ ተናጋሪ ሰሜን ኢትዮጵያውያን መዋሐድና አንድ መሆን?

❖ የሰሜን ኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ምስረታ?

የተከዱትንና የተገፉትን የአክሱም ጽዮን ልጆችን፤ በፈተና፣ በመከራ፣ በድካምና በስቃይ ላይ ያሉትን ወገኖቻችንን ሁሉ ያለ ደዌና ያለ ከፋ ሕማም ለክርስቶስ ትንሣኤ ያድርሰልን ፤ ቀናተኞችና አረመኔዎች የሆኑትን እርጉም ጠላቶቻቸውን/ጠላቶቻችንን ሁሉ በቶሎ ያንበርክክልን!!! አሜን።

†ሐሙስ፤ ጸሎተ ሐሙስ፥ ሕጽበተ ሐሙስ፥ የምሥጢር ሐሙስ፥ የሐዲስ ኪዳን ሐሙስ፥ የነጻነት ሐሙስ

❖ በጸሎተ ሐሙስ የተፈጸሙ ተግባራት

በዕለተ ሐሙስ ከተፈጸሙ ዐበይት ተግባራት አንዱ መድኃኒታችን ክርስቶስ ‹‹ይህ ሥጋዬ ነው፤ ይህ ደሜ ነው፤›› ብሎ አማናዊ ሥጋውንና ደሙን መስጠቱ ነው (ማቴ. ፳፮፥፳፮-፳፰)። እንደዚሁም ይህ ዕለት ሰፊ ጸሎት የተደረገበት የጸሎት ቀን ነው። ጌታችን ሐሙስ ዕለት ወዙ እንደ ውኃና እንደ ደም ወርዶ መሬቱን ጭቃ እስኪያደርገው ድረስ መላልሶ ስለ ጸለየ ዕለቱ ‹ጸሎተ ሐሙስ› ተብሎ ተጠርቷል። ጌታችን የጸለየበትን ቦታም ወንጌላውያኑ በተለያየ ስያሜ ጠርተውታል፤ ማቴዎስና ማርቆስ – ‹ዐፀደ ወይን›፣ ‹ጌቴሴማኒ›፤ ሉቃስ – ‹ደብረ ዘይት›፤ ዮሐንስ – ‹ማዕዶተ ቄድሮስ›፣ ‹ፈለገ አርዝ›፣ ‹ዐፀደ ሐምል› በማለት ሰይመውታል (ማቴ.፳፮፥፴፮፤ ማር.፲፬፥፴፪፤ ሉቃ. ፳፩፥፴፯፤ ፳፪፥፴፱፤ ዮሐ. ፲፰፥፩)።

በተጨማሪም ይህ ዕለት (ሐሙስ) ያለ እርሱ ፈቃድ ሊይዙት እንደማይችሉ ለማስረዳት ጌታችን በመለኮታዊ ኃይሉ እንደ ቅጠል እንዲረግፉ ካደረጋቸው በኋላ በይቅርታው ብዛት መልሶ በማስነሣት በፈቃዱ ራሱን ለአይሁድ አሳልፎ የሰጠበት ዕለት ነው (ዮሐ. ፲፰፥፭-፰)። በዕለተ ሐሙስ ከተከናወኑ ዐበይት ተግባራት መካከል ሠራዔ ሕግ፣ ፈጻሜ ሕግ የኾነው ጌታችን አምላካችንና መድኀኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሕገ ኦሪትን እየፈጸመ አድጓልና በኦሪት ሥርዓት የሚፈጸመውን የመጨረሻውን በግዐ ፋሲካ (የፋሲካ በግ) ከደቀ መዛሙርቱ ጋር መመገቡ አንደኛው ነው። ይሁዳ እንደሚያስይዘው ለሐዋርያት በምልክት ማስረዳቱ ሁለተኛው ሲኾን (ዮሐ. ፲፫፥፳፩)፤ እንደ አገልጋይ ራሱን ዝቅ አድርጎ የደቀ መዛሙርቱን እግር ማጠቡ ደግሞ ሦስተኛው ነው።

❖ ጌታችን የደቀ መዛሙርቱን እግር የማጠቡ ምሥጢር

ጌታችን አምላካችንና መድኃኒታን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ የደቀ መዛሙርቱን እግር ካጠበ በኋላ ‹‹እናንተ መምህራችን፣ ጌታችን ትሉኛላችሁ፤ መልካም ትላላችሁ። እኔ ጌታችሁ መምህራችሁ ስኾን ዝቅ ብዬ እግራችሁን ካጠብኋችሁ እናንተም ዝቅ ብላችሁ የወንድሞቻችሁን እግር ልታጥቡ ይገባችኋል። ምሳሌ ኾኛችኋለሁና፤›› በማለት የትሕትና ሥርዓት ሠርቶ እነርሱም በሥራ እንዲገልጡት አዝዞአቸዋል (ዮሐ. ፲፫፥፲፭)። በግእዝ የተጻፈ አንድ ትርጓሜ ወንጌል ‹‹እዘርእ ፍቅረ ወትሕትና ውስተ አልባቢክሙ፤ ፍቅርንና ትሕትናን በልባችሁ እዘራለሁ፤›› እንዳላቸው ይናገራል።

ሠለስቱ ምእትም በአንቀጸ መነኮሳት ‹‹ወኢትትሐከይ ኀፂበ እግረ አኃው ሶበ መጽኡ ኀቤከ እስመ በእንተ ዛቲ ትእዛዝ ይትኀሠሥዎሙ ለእለ ያጸርዕዋ ለዛቲ ግብር ወለእመ ኮኑ ኤጲስ ቆጶሳተ እስመ እግዚአብሔር ኀፀበ እግረ አርዳኢሁ ቅድመ ወአዘዞሙ ከማሁ ይግበሩ፤ ወንድሞች ወደ አንተ በመጡ ጊዜ እግራቸውን ማጠብን ቸል አትበል። ይህችን ሥራ ቸል የሚሏትን ስለዚህች ትእዛዝ ሥላሴ በፍዳ ይመረምሯቸዋልና። ኤጲስቆጶሳትም ቢኾኑ እግዚአብሔር አስቀድሞ የደቀ መዛሙርቱን እግር አጥቦ እንዲሁ ያደርጉ ዘንድ አዝዟቸዋልና፤›› (ሃይማኖተ አበው ፳፥፳፱፤ ፩ኛ ጢሞ. ፭፥፱-፲)።

የጌታችንን ትሕትና በተናገረበት ክፍል፣ ሊቁ ያዕቆብ ዘሥሩግ ‹‹የማይታዩ ረቂቃን መላእክቱ አደነቁ፤ ከልዑል ዙፋኑ ወርዶ ለደቀ መዛሙርቱ ሲያገለግል ባዩት ጊዜ አገልጋዮቹ መላእክት ደነገጡ። ትሕትና ወዳለበት ፍቅር የአሕዛብ እግረ ልቡናን ያቀና ዘንድ ግሩም እሳት በትሕትና መገለጡን ባዩ ጊዜ ብርሃናት ደነገጡ፤›› ይላል (ሃይማኖተ አበው ፹፰፥፰)። ፊልክስዩስም ‹‹ወኅፅበተ ፋሲካ ትትሜሰል በምሥጢረ ትሕትና ፍጽምት፤ የፋሲካ ኅፅበት ፍጹም በኾነ የትሕትና ሥራ ትመሰላለች፤›› ብሏል (መጽሐፈ መነኮሳት)።

አባ ጊዮርጊስ ዘጋሥጫ በመጽሐፈ ምሥጢር ‹‹… ጌታችን ወደ ስምዖን ጴጥሮስ በደረሰ ጊዜ ጴጥሮስም ‹አቤቱ እግሬን የምታጥበኝ አንተ ነህን? አለው። እርሱም መልሶ ‹እኔ እግርህን ከላጠብሁህ አንተም ከእኔ ጋር ዕድል ፈንታ የለህም› አለው። ይህም ማለት ‹እኔ በአገልጋይ ምሳሌ እግርህን ካላጠብሁ አንተም ከበታችህ ላሉ ራስህን ዝቅ ማድረግ አትችልም። ራስህን ዝቅ ካላደረግህም የእነርሱ አለቃ መኾን አትችልም። በሰማያት ባለው መንግሥቴስ ከእኔ ጋር እንዴት አንድ ለመኾን ትችላለህ?››› በማለት ራሱ ትሑት ኾኖ ጴጥሮስን ትሑት ይኾን ዘንድ አጥብቆ እንደ መከረው ይናገራል።

በቅዱሳት መጻሕፍት መነሻነት ዘወትር በግልጥ ሲከናወን የኖረውን፤ አሁንም ባለ ማቋረጥ እየተከናወነ የሚገኘውን፤ ለወደፊትም የሚከናወነውን ቅዱስ የኾነውን የኦርቶዶከሳዊት ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ትውፊታዊ ሥርዓት ወደ ጐድን በመተው ግምታዊ ልማድን እየተከተለ ‹‹የሐዋርያት ጥምቀት በኅፅበተ እግር ነው፤ እኛ የዳነው በኅፅበተ እግር ነው፤›› የሚሉ ሰዎች አሉ። ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ስታጠምቅም፣ ቅብዐ ቅዱስ ስትቀባም ከራስ ጀምራ ነው። በመጨረሻም በራስ ላይ እፍ ብላ መንፈስ ቅዱስን በማሳደር ነው እንጂ እግርን በማጠብ አጥምቃ አታውቅም።

ይኸውም ከሐዋርያት የተገኘ፤ ከሐዋርያት ሲያያዝ የመጣ ትውፊታዊና ቅዱስ ሥርዓት ነው እንጂ አሁን የተፈጠረ አዲስ ባህል አይደለም። ስለዚህም የጸሎተ ሐሙስ ኅፅበተ እግር ጥምቀት ሳይኾን ፍጹም ትሕትናን ሠርቶ ለማሠራት ጌታችን የፈጸመው ተግባር ነው። ይህንም ያለ ጥርጥር ልንቀበለውና ልንተገብረው ይገባል። ከዚህ ሌላ የሐዋርያት ጥምቀት አንዳንዶቹ ‹‹ተከተሉኝ›› ሲላቸው ነው፤ አንዳንዶቹ ደግሞ በበዓለ ኀምሳ መንፈስ ቅዱስ በወረደላቸው ጊዜ ነው ይላሉ። ይህ ዅሉ አባባል ግን መጽሐፍ ቅዱሳዊ አይደለም። በቅዱሳት መጻሕፍት ማስረጃነት ያልተደገፈ ግምታዊ አሳብ ነው እንጂ።

በዕለተ ሐሙስ በተከናወነው ኅፅበተ እግር ሐዋርያት እንደ ተጠመቁ የሚናገሩ ብዙዎች ናቸው። ነገር ግን ይህ ኅፅበት መድኃኒታችን ክርስቶስ ወሰንና አቻ የሌለው ፍጹም ትሕትናውን የገለጠበት ምሥጢር እንጂ ጥምቀት እንዳልኾነ ብዙ መጻሕፍት ይስማማሉ። ከዚህ በላይ የተዘረዘሩ መጻሕፍት በሙሉ ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ የደቀ መዛሙርቱን እግር ማጠቡ ፍጹም ትሕትናውን ለመግለጥ እንደ ኾነ በማያሻማ ኹኔታ አረጋግጠዋል።

ሐዋርያት በዚህ ጊዜ (በኅፅበተ እግር) ተጠመቁ የሚል ግን ማኅበረ ሐዋርያት ከባስልዮስ መጽሐፍ አገኘን ብለው ከጠቀሷት አንዲቷ ጥቅስ በስተቀር ሌላ አልተገኘም። ከዚህ ላይ ልናስተውለው የሚገባ ቁም ነገር ቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ‹‹ጌታ አንድ ነው፤ ሃይማኖት አንዲት ናት፤ ጥምቀትም አንዲት ናት፤›› (ኤፌ. ፬፥፭) ባለው መሠረት ሠለስቱ ምእት በጉባኤ ኒቅያ በተናገሩት የሃይማኖት ጸሎት ‹‹ኀጢአት በሚሰረይባት በአንዲት ጥምቀት እናምናለን›› (ሃይማኖተ አበው ፲፯፥፲፪) ከማለታቸውም ባሻገር ጥምቀት እንዳይደገም፣ እንዳይከለስ በፍትሕ መንፈሳዊ ከልክለዋል።

❖ ኅፅበተ እግር በቤተ ክርስቲያን

በየዓመቱ የሕማማት ሐሙስ በየአብያተ ክርስቲያናቱ፣ ዘወትር በየቀኑ በየገዳማቱና ትምህርት ቤቶች ለሚስተናገዱ እንግዶች ዅሉ ኅፅበተ እግር ይከናወናል። ኅፅበት ጥምቀት ነው ከተባለ ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስም ሠለስቱ ምእትም ኅፅበተ እግሩ ባለማቋረጥ ዅልጊዜ ሲተገበር (ሲከናወን) ሰዎች ዅሉ በየጊዜው ይጠመቃሉ ማለት ነው። ይህም ሐዋርያትና ሠለስቱ ምእት ጥምቀት አንድ ጊዜ ብቻ እንዲፈጸም ከወሰኑ በአንድ ምላስ ሁለት ምላስ ያሰኛል። በአንዲት ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሚጣረሱ ተቃራኒ ሥርዓቶችን ማራመድ አይቻልምና። ከዚሁ ዅሉ ጋር ደግሞ የእግር መታጠብ ጥምቀት ከኾነ ጌታችን እግራቸውን አጥቦ ‹‹እንዲህ አድርጉ›› ብሎ አዞናልና አዲስ ተጠማቂዎችን አብሶም ሕፃናትን መላ አካላቸውን እያጠመቅን ለምን በቅዝቃዜ እናሰቃያቸዋለን? እግራቸውን ብቻ አጥበን ‹‹ተጠምቃችኋል›› እያልን አናሰናብታቸውም? እስኪ በማስተዋል እንመርምረው።

መድኀኔ ዓለም ክርስቶስ በመዋዕለ ስብከቱ ያከናወናቸው አምላካውያት ተአምራት እንዳይገለጡ ‹‹ይህን ለማንም እንዳትናገሩ፤›› እያለ አጥብቆ ይከለክል ነበር (ማቴ. ፰፥፬፤ ፱፥፴፤ ፲፮፥፳፤ ፲፯፥፲፱)። ይኸውም ገደቡ ካሣ እስከሚፈጸም እስከ ትንሣኤ ድረስ ኾኖ ከዚያ በኋላ ግን ተአምራቱ መነገር እንዳለበት ‹‹ወልደ እጓለ እመ ሕያው ክርስቶስ ከሙታን እስኪነሣ›› ብሎ ግልጽ አድርጎታል (ማቴ. ፲፯፥፲፱)። ይህንም ‹‹መከራን ከፊት አስቀምጦ፣ ደስታን፣ ክብርን መናገር ስለሚገባ ነው›› ብለው ሊቃውንቱ አትተውታል።

Christians Are Under Attack In The Middle East – And Not Even A Visit From The Pope Can Convince Them To Stay

Almost exactly a quarter of a century ago, I wrote a story for the front page of what was then The Independent’s Weekend Review. It was headlined: “Exodus: a story of Christians”. It told the tragedy of those people of the faith who were fleeing the lands of the forefathers.

I interviewed the only hermit left in Lebanon, in a cave in the north of the country, and he said to me: “I am the only hermit left in all the Middle East.” His eyes creased in happiness when I acknowledged his unique theological condition. “I will never leave Lebanon,” he said. “No Christian should leave the Holy Land. Those who have left will come back.”

He exuded faith: childlike, passionate, precise, untramelled by contradiction or facts. And he was wrong.

As I wrote at the time – from Iraq, from the West Bank, from Lebanon and from Egypt, “probably” (that was my word then) from Syria, too – the Christians were leaving. A community of 14 million people, the inheritors of the original, eastern church of Christ, were draining away from lands now inhabited by up to 160 million Muslims.

Today, the Copts of Egypt alone may be as many as 15 million, but they make up only 10 per cent of the population. Under attack from Islamists, they are leaving for the West in huge numbers – which is one reason the Pope lands in Egypt on Thursday in the hope (a plaintiff one, I fear) that Christians and Muslims can take violence out of religion. We pretend to care very much for these Christians, of course. (Indeed, we care so much that even the new American President, Donald Trump, was too frightened to call the 1915 slaughter of one and a half million Armenian Christians a genocide this week.)

I was much moved some two years ago, in the little Syrian town of Qamishleh, by the local priests and bishops of the Maronite (Catholic), Armenian and Orthodox churches who pleaded with me to stop suggesting that the Christians should seek sanctuary in the West. If they went to Canada or America or Europe, they said, they will become part of a secular world in which they would lose their faith. This should not be the fate of the Christians of the Middle East.

But, after 44 Christian Copts were killed in two church bombings in Egypt this month, can they stay? When Christian Copts are murdered in Sinai, can they stay? When Isis in Iraq tells them to convert or die, can they stay?

By 1999, only 10 per cent of the people of Jerusalem were Christian. Just 30 per cent of Nazareth’s population of 172,000 were Christian.

She would not accept this. “And we were defeated later by different people and with different tools,” she replied. “I’m not the person who would say ‘Oh we should overcome this’. I think people do have their differences. And it’s important to look and analyse and try to see why people have their differences and how they can run these differences through time and in different situations. But I think that both sides are responsible for this.”

What will the Pope say that? Or to the Grand Imam of Al Azhar in Cairo, Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayeb? Will they be up to the task of self-incrimination?

Trump Sees the Jihadist Trojan Horse

Ever wonder why there are so many Muslims and Muslim countries in the world? Over the millennia many countries were conquered, but didn’t remain Persian or Greek or Roman as the case may be. You see, the countries conquered in the name of Islam, became and remained Islamic. For example Pakistan, part of India, and Malaysia both were Hindu; Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Egypt and N. Africa were Christian; Afghanistan was Buddhist. They are all Islamic now.

This transformation was not by chance but by design. All these countries were conquered by force then shorn of their wealth and many of their women. Then the Muslim conquerors introduced Sharia and continued fighting the local inhabitants. The inhabitants were either forced to convert or accorded Dhimmi status. As time went on all cultures submitted and eventually became Islamic.

The advance of Islam was finally reversed in Spain and stopped at the Gates of Vienna in 1642. Thereafter the power of Islam went into decline but other than Spain, it never lost its hold on the people it conquered. This decline was reversed in the Twentieth Century when Arabs became wealthy as a result of their vast oil reserves. This wealth was then deployed to conquer the west, not by Violent Jihad, but by Stealth Jihad.

This design was referred to as The Islamic Doctrine. It consists of Koran (14%) which stipulates that “there is no god but ALLAH and Mohammed is his messenger”, Sira, Mohammed’s biography (26%) and Hadiths, traditions, (60%). There are two different Korans combined into one, the Mecca Koran and the Medina Koran.

Dr. Moorthy Muthuswamy writes,

About sixty-one percent of the contents of the Koran are found to speak ill of the unbelievers or call for their violent conquest; at best only 2.6 percent of the verses of the Koran are noted to show goodwill toward humanity. About seventy-five percent of Muhammad’s biography (Sira) consists of jihad waged on unbelievers.

Mohammed started as a religious preacher in Mecca. It was during this period that the Koran 2:256 stipulated. “There is no compulsion in religion” and 109:1 stipulated “You have your religion I have mine.” Ultimately he was chased out of Mecca and migrated with his followers to Medina.

Then began the Jihad period. From then on people were forced to convert under pain of death or were forced to live as Dhimmis (second class citizens) and pay (Jizya) for the privilege of living there.

This Jihad continued until there was no more discord.

Koran 2:193. “Fight them (Kafirs) until there is no more discord and the religion of Allah reigns absolute but if they submit, then only fight those who do wrong.”

Thus it continues until everyone in the territory has submitted to Islam, accepts Dhimmi status and pays Jizya.

Quotes from the Qur’an and Hadith on war, violence, infidels, and unbelievers may be found here. For example:

Ayhat 8:12, “I shall cast terror into the hearts of those who are bent on denying the truth; strike, then, their necks, [O believers,] and strike off every one of their finger-tips!”

Sura 9:5,29,41. “Slay the idolators [non-Muslims] wherever ye find them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the last Day…. Go forth, light-armed and heavy-armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah! “

This inconsistency in the Koran is resolved by the doctrine of abrogation, wherein the Medina principles abrogate the Mecca principles.

Migration intends to overtake the host country through this doctrine. It is driven by Islam’s proscription against assimilation, and its will to dominate.

51% of the Koran concerns itself with the Kafir. It is a political doctrine not a religious one. There is no golden rule. Kafirs are to be subjugated. Muslims are to dominate.

Dr Bill Warner summarizes this as follows:

Migration is part of the doctrine of jihad. Migration is so important that the Islamic calendar is based upon the Hijra, Mohammed’s migration from Mecca to Medina. Why? Because it was migration that lead to the creation of jihad in Medina. And it was jihad that made Islam triumphant.

In the past Muslims tended to stay in Islamic countries. Today, the new politics is to migrate to Kafir lands and immerse themselves in local politics. This is the jihad of money, writing and speech. Their politics is to bring the Sharia to Kafir culture. An example is using Islamic money is to build departments in universities that will support Sharia and never criticize Islam.

Unfortunately this migration is encouraged by globalist leaders such as Chancellor Merkel and President Obama. And of course, Hillary Clinton aspires to be one of them.

Professor Belhaj explains elites “encourage migration and accommodate Islam”, and described the harmony between Muslim migrants and neoliberalism as “structural, and not accidental”. “Migration is useful for the neo-liberal model of the borderless, minimal, global society…”

The Muslim Brotherhood met in 1991 and produced a document which set out its strategic goals for North America. The document was entered as evidence in the 2008 Holyland Terror Funding Trial. It contained among other things, the following paragraphs:

Enablement of Islam in North America, meaning: establishing an effective and a stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood which adopts Muslims’ causes domestically and globally, and which works to expand the observant Muslim base, aims at unifying and directing Muslims’ efforts, presents Islam as a civilization alternative, and supports the global Islamic State wherever it is.

…the Movement must plan and struggle to obtain “the keys” and the tools of this process in carry out [sic] this grand mission as a ‘Civilization Jihadist’ responsibility.

The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…

[W]e must possess a mastery of the art of “coalitions,” the art of “absorption” and the principles of “cooperation.”

Pres Obama and Secretary Clinton, upon taking office, embraced the Muslim Brotherhood and worked with them to depose Mubarak and Assad. Luckily General al Sisi reversed their victory in Egypt and Assad, with the help of Iran and Russia, thwarted their plans in Syria.

In “Why is Obama in Bed with the Muslim Brotherhood?” I wrote “The alliance between the Obama administration and the Muslim Brotherhood is the cornerstone of Obama’s New Middle East policy.”

Capt. Joseph R. John, USN (Ret), the Chairman of Combat Veterans for Congress PAC, wrote in June 2016:

Members of the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, and MPAC have sinister goals that are not in support of the US Constitution or The Bill of Rights. They have become a very dangerous “Fifth Column” in the United States, appointed by Obama to very high and sensitive positions in the US Government agencies.

For nearly 8 years Obama has been filling the Washington bureaucracy including DHS, the CIA, DOD, the National Security Council, the White House, the State Department, every US Intelligence Agency, and the US Armed Forces with thousands of members of the CAIR, MPAC, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Muslim Brotherhood front groups.

In June of this year Donald Trump recognized the danger of Muslim migration and said, “This could be the all-time great Trojan horse.” And so it is but the US elites refuse to recognize it.

On August 15/16 he gave a speech on immigration and terrorism in which he clarified;

A Trump Administration will establish a clear principle that will govern all decisions pertaining to immigration: we should only admit into this country those who share our values and respect our people.

In the Cold War, we had an ideological screening test. The time is overdue to develop a new screening test for the threats we face today.

In addition to screening out all members or sympathizers of terrorist groups, we must also screen out any who have hostile attitudes towards our country or its principles – or who believe that Sharia law should supplant American law.

Those who do not believe in our Constitution, or who support bigotry and hatred, will not be admitted for immigration into the country.

So you can see, rather that limiting his policy to weeding out terrorists, he advocates weeding out Jihadists who want to subjugate America to Islam. This is not racism. It is common sense.

Trump has been stressing that Hillary Clinton wants to let in 550% more refugees than the 10,000 Obama let in. In response I wrote “Don’t be duped about Muslim migration to the US” in which I pointed out that the problem is much bigger and that no distinction should be made between refugees and immigrants.

 

According to a report highlighted by Megyn Kelly,

According to the Report, Obama has issued over 832,000 green cards to Muslim majority countries in his first 6 years of his presidency. In addition, 482,000 Muslims overstayed their visas and are not being sent back. These Muslims support Sharia to an astonishing degree. In Afghanistan 99%, in Iraq 91% and in Pakistan 70%. When in the US 70% vote Democrat.

And now Obama is intending to allow in another 1 million Muslims.

Jewish Americans are very supportive of allowing such numbers into the US. They argue either we have a duty to do so or that Jews should be more welcoming given the history of America banning Jewish immigration in the thirties and forties. But this analogy doesn’t hold up at all. Jews were no threat to Americans personally and to their values, whereas the Muslims are both. Furthermore Muslims are very anti-Semitic and very anti-Israel. The Muslims have many other countries they could go to. The Jews had no other country willing to take them in. Jews are, in effect, welcoming their enemies into the country.

As for a duty to allow Muslim immigration or any immigration, there is none.

We need Donald Trump.

Germany’s New Normal: “People can’t leave their homes” “Migrants go into churches to disrupt service. They walk in and start to riot.”

Media and political elites continue to spin the catastrophic invasion of Europe as some “humanitarian” movement, summarily ignoring the grave consequences of the hijrah (immigration jihad).

Only a handful of news sites (like this one) are reporting on the true nature ofinvasion , getting the real news from the true victims — the besieged Europeans who, almost overnight, are forced to live in a war zone.

One of my German readers tells me, “I just hung up the phone after speaking to a friend in Germany — he lives in a small, very catholic town, Ellwangen, where I went to school for a few years, of about 12 000 people that had to accept 4 500 refugees at the fringes of town in former army barracks that had been vacant. The name of the barracks is Reinhardt Kaserne, I knew some of the ‘unpleasant’ things happening from reading online, talking to my mother, etc, but he is a ‘true local’ and from what he says, it must be much worse than any reports I read! He owns a small store in the center of town and ever since the arrival of the big masses this summer he has zero business because nobody wants to go to town anymore. What is far worse and underlines all that you have been writing about, the ‘refugees’ even go into churches to disrupt service. I had no idea! I have to say, this is a crime against the German people and culture committed by their own government…..”

Here is what is happening:

Ellwangen is a small town in the eastern part of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The center of the town counts about 12000; not considering neighboring villages. It has very strong Christian, catholic and protestant, roots, and, not surprisingly, … it was one of the centers of the infamous German witch trials. It was a small, sleeply town proud of it’s churches and aware of its Christian past like any small town in Germany’s south where people speak dialect and pretty much everybody knows everybody.

What’s been happening there, removed from the center of attention due to its geographical location, is that the former German army barracks that have been vacant and are located a little outside but in walking distance to center of town, has been occupied by refugees. When the big numbers started to stream into Germany this summer, the numbers in that LEA (Landeserstaufnahme – which means that’s the first landing for refugees where they will be registered and get shelter and live before they are distributed elsewhere) started to grow too. Originally, the intention and capacity was for 500 people. That number rose quickly to about 5000 plus/minus with serious mass brawls and conflicts police had to show up regularly to separate. There has been some resistance in the population, but the people standing up for themselves are called ‘nazis’. From the latest information that I read on the developments, people will be housed there permanently and the state government plans on spending 5.1 Million Euros to expand and renovate the place that is now supposed to accommodate about 3.500. It is hard to pinpoint any number; they seem to change or be different with every article I read.

What has been happening to the town itself is not difficult to image. The reports I read speak of Muslims in the small streets of the town; I read about serious theft problems in stores where ‘refugees’ walk in, take what they want or need, and walk out again without paying. In the beginning, grocery stores called the police, but stopped doing so after they were told to write up the losses and contact someone at the local municipality to reimburse them. (I had a verbal confirmation from a wife of a German police officer … )

People in Ellwangen don’t leave their houses anymore and stay home unless they need to go out. Women don’t want to go out anymore, and that is not only in the evenings. People feel they are strangers in their own home town and feel uncomfortable.

A couple of weeks ago, it became public that a woman had been raped at night on her way home; the police had withheld the report but said it was not because the crime may have been committed by ‘asylum seekers’ but not to hinder the investigation and to protect the victim. Apparently the rapist spoke in a foreign language with another men who was present during the attach. A 10 year old girl had also been sexually harassed, but thankfully, she reported it to her parents before anything physical and more serious happened. I read that the perpetrator in that case was Afghan and lived in town.

Most of Satan’s work in the world he takes care to keep hidden. But two small shafts of light have been thrown onto his work for me just recently. The first, a short article in the Association of Catholic Women’s ACW Review; the second, a remark (which at first surprised me) from a priest in Russia who claimed that we now, in the West, live in a Communist society. These shafts of light help, especially, to explain the onslaught of officialdom which in many countries worldwide has so successfully been removing the rights of parents to be the primary educators and protectors of their children.

The ACW Review examined the corrosive work of the ‘Frankfurt School’ – a group of German-American scholars who developed highly provocative and original perspectives on contemporary society and culture, drawing on Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, Freud, and Weber. Not that their idea of a ‘cultural revolution’ was particularly new. ‘Until now’, wrote Joseph, Comte de Maistre (1753-1821) who for fifteen years was a Freemason, ‘nations were killed by conquest, that is by invasion: But here an important question arises; can a nation not die on its own soil, without resettlement or invasion, by allowing the flies of decomposition to corrupt to the very core those original and constituent principles which make it what it is.’

What was the Frankfurt School? Well, in the days following the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, it was believed that workers’ revolution would sweep into Europe and, eventually, into the United States. But it did not do so. Towards the end of 1922 the Communist International (Comintern) began to consider what were the reasons. On Lenin’s initiative a meeting was organised at the Marx-Engels Institute in Moscow.

The aim of the meeting was to clarify the concept of, and give concrete effect to, a Marxist cultural revolution. Amongst those present were Georg Lukacs (a Hungarian aristocrat, son of a banker, who had become a Communist during World War I ; a good Marxist theoretician he developed the idea of ‘Revolution and Eros’ – sexual instinct used as an instrument of destruction) and Willi Munzenberg (whose proposed solution was to ‘organize the intellectuals and use them to make Western civilization stink. Only then, after they have corrupted all its values and made life impossible, can we impose the dictatorship of the proletariat’) ‘It was’, said Ralph de Toledano (1916-2007) the conservative author and co-founder of the ‘National Review’, a meeting ‘perhaps more harmful to Western civilization than the Bolshevik Revolution itself.’

Lenin died in 1924. By this time, however, Stalin was beginning to look on Munzenberg, Lukacs and like-thinkers as ‘revisionists’. In June 1940, Münzenberg fled to the south of France where, on Stalin’s orders, a NKVD assassination squad caught up with him and hanged him from a tree.

In the summer of 1924, after being attacked for his writings by the 5th Comintern Congress, Lukacs moved to Germany, where he chaired the first meeting of a group of Communist-oriented sociologists, a gathering that was to lead to the foundation of the Frankfurt School.

This ‘School’ (designed to put flesh on their revolutionary programme) was started at the University of Frankfurt in the Institut für Sozialforschung. To begin with school and institute were indistinguishable. In 1923 the Institute was officially established, and funded by Felix Weil (1898-1975). Weil was born in Argentina and at the age of nine was sent to attend school in Germany. He attended the universities in Tübingen and Frankfurt, where he graduated with a doctoral degree in political science. While at these universities he became increasingly interested in socialism and Marxism. According to the intellectual historian Martin Jay, the topic of his dissertation was ‘the practical problems of implementing socialism.’

Carl Grünberg, the Institute’s director from 1923-1929, was an avowed Marxist, although the Institute did not have any official party affiliations. But in 1930 Max Horkheimer assumed control and he believed that Marx’s theory should be the basis of the Institute’s research. When Hitler came to power, the Institut was closed and its members, by various routes, fled to the United States and migrated to major US universities—Columbia, Princeton, Brandeis, and California at Berkeley.

The School included among its members the 1960s guru of the New Left Herbert Marcuse (denounced by Pope Paul VI for his theory of liberation which ‘opens the way for licence cloaked as liberty’), Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, the popular writer Erich Fromm, Leo Lowenthal, and Jurgen Habermas – possibly the School’s most influential representative.

Basically, the Frankfurt School believed that as long as an individual had the belief – or even the hope of belief – that his divine gift of reason could solve the problems facing society, then that society would never reach the state of hopelessness and alienation that they considered necessary to provoke socialist revolution. Their task, therefore, was as swiftly as possible to undermine the Judaeo-Christian legacy. To do this they called for the most negative destructive criticism possible of every sphere of life which would be designed to de-stabilize society and bring down what they saw as the ‘oppressive’ order. Their policies, they hoped, would spread like a virus—‘continuing the work of the Western Marxists by other means’ as one of their members noted.

To further the advance of their ‘quiet’ cultural revolution – but giving us no ideas about their plans for the future – the School recommended (among other things):

1. The creation of racism offences.

2. Continual change to create confusion

3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children

4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority

5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.

6. The promotion of excessive drinking

7. Emptying of churches

8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime

9. Dependency on the state or state benefits

10. Control and dumbing down of media

11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family

One of the main ideas of the Frankfurt School was to exploit Freud’s idea of ‘pansexualism’ – the search for pleasure, the exploitation of the differences between the sexes, the overthrowing of traditional relationships between men and women. To further their aims they would:

• attack the authority of the father, deny the specific roles of father and mother, and wrest away from families their rights as primary educators of their children.

• abolish differences in the education of boys and girls

• abolish all forms of male dominance – hence the presence of women in the armed forces

• declare women to be an ‘oppressed class’ and men as ‘oppressors’

Munzenberg summed up the Frankfurt School’s long-term operation thus: ‘We will make the West so corrupt that it stinks.’

The School believed there were two types of revolution: (a) political and (b) cultural. Cultural revolution demolishes from within. ‘Modern forms of subjection are marked by mildness’. They saw it as a long-term project and kept their sights clearly focused on the family, education, media, sex and popular culture.

Islamic Group Gets Go-ahead to Cut Crosses off NY Church

 

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A city board on Thursday gave a Muslim group the go-ahead to remove six crosses from the roof and spires of a century-old former Catholic church so the now-vacant Gothic structure can be used as a mosque.

 

More than 200 people had signed an online petition calling on the Syracuse Landmark Preservation Board to deny an application by North Side Learning Center, the church’s new owner, to remove the crosses and build a six-foot chain-link fence.

 

Before the vote to allow the church alterations, Chairman Don Radke said the board cannot interfere with a decision that involves religious freedom.

 

About a dozen people who spoke at the meeting were evenly divided for and against the church conversion, The Post-Standard reported.

 

Petition-signers, who included some local residents and former church parishioners, had argued that the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church was a neighborhood landmark built by German immigrants 100 years ago and removing the crosses would deface the architecture.

Atheists Call 9-11 Memorial Cross “Grossly Offensive”

 

A Jewish firefighter who wants to display a Christian cross as part of a New Jersey 9-11 memorial is facing stiff opposition from a group of atheists who called the religious image “grossly offensive.”

 

The American Atheists are threatening to sue Princeton, NJ if they proceed with plans to erect the memorial. They took issue with a beam that was salvaged from the ruins of the World Trade Center because a cross had been cut out of one side of the beam.

 

“This particular beam has a religious symbol on it,” American Atheists president David Silverman told Fox News. “They have a beam with a religious symbol and that makes it a religious icon.”

 

Silverman said placing the beam on public land would be a “clear violation of the separation of church and state.”

 

He also said the cross symbol would send a terrible message to non-Christians. He said the city would be giving the “appearance that all of the people who suffered and died on 9-11 and their families are being memorialized by a Christian symbol.”

Muslims, Atheists Pressure Military to Remove Christian Speaker

 

The U.S. Military Academy pressured a retired U.S. lieutenant general to withdraw from speaking at a West Point prayer breakfast after Muslims and atheists complained, Fox News & Commentary has learned.

 

Retired Lt. Gen. William Boykin was scheduled to deliver a speech at West Point on Feb. 8. But late Monday, the military academy released a statement saying he had decided to withdraw from speaking and would be replaced with another speaker.

 

However, a source close to the controversy told Fox News & Commentary that Boykin was pressured to withdraw.

 

“It was very clear they wanted General Boykin to withdraw,” said the source who asked not to be identified. “He asked them to rescind the invitation, but they were reluctant to do that so he said he would take them off the hook.”

 

“I came under attack because there are liberal groups, Islamic groups and atheist groups that want to shut me down because I have been very open about my concerns about the encroachment of Sharia – or Islamic law,” he said.

Muslims Object to Easter Eggs

 

Muslim moms and dads in Dearborn, Mich. are upset after students received flyers promoting an Easter Egg hunt at a local Presbyterian church. The parents say the egg hunt violates the U.S. Constitution.

 

The Muslims told the Detroit Free-Press that they were concerned about the religious implications of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church’s “Eggstravaganza!” They were also troubled by images of a bunny rabbit.

 

“It really bothered my two kids,” parent Majed Moughni, told the newspaper. “My son was like, ‘Dad, I really don’t feel comfortable getting these flyers, telling me to go to church. I thought churches are not supposed to mix with schools.’ ”

 

The school district did not comment and the pastor of the church said there’s nothing remotely religious about the event.

Saudi Arabia Declares All Atheists Are Terrorists

 

King Abdullah is cracking down on people who disagree with the country’s established religion, Islam. According to new laws, people who don’t believe in God can be considered terrorists and may face jail time.

 

Not believing in God is not an option in Saudi Arabia.

 

The Middle Eastern country has issued new legislation that labels all atheists as terrorists who are a threat to “public order.”

 

Article 1 of the new provisions define terrorism as “calling for atheist thought in any form, or calling into question the fundamentals of the Islamic religion on which this country is based.”

 

The kingdom has never been a friendly place for atheists — lsam is written into its constitution as the established state religion. But these new laws reflect King Abdullah’s desire to clamp down on political dissent before it can become a movement.

 

A growing number of Saudis have reportedly been traveling to other parts of the Middle East, like Syria, to participate in demonstrations. According to The Independent, they’re coming back to their home country with new ideas about dethroning the monarchy—a prospect that is unsettling to the 89-year-old Abdullah, who is considered one of the world’s richest royals.

 

The king’s Royal Decree 44 criminalizes “participating in hostilities outside the kingdom” with a jail term that could last anywhere between three and 20 years, Human Rights Watch reports.

 

Under the new laws, a nonviolent act can be considered terrorism if it insults the country’s rulers through social media. Anyone who seeks to “shake the social fabric or national cohesion” by participating in sit-ins, protests or meetings is also in hot water.

Senator Rand Paul: “There’s a Worldwide War on Christianity”

“From Boston to Zanzibar, there’s a worldwide war on Christianity,” said Senator Rand Paul at the Values Voters Summit Friday.

Paul likened the anti-Christian attacks to the Middle Ages, perhaps forgetting that the Church ruled in those days, violently forcing nonbelievers to convert during the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition.

Paul blames the “war” on “a fanatical element of Islam,” although he notes that not all Muslims are violent opposers of Christianity. However, he does believe that nonviolent Muslims are responsible for keeping their aggressive counterparts in check.

“Some politicians say that this war on Christianity means that we must fight a large conventional war against all radical Islam. … This isn’t going to be fought with a conventional war, it’s going to require Islam to police Islam,” said Paul.

Paul delves further into the issue on his official website, going on to fault Obama for not properly addressing the issue.

“The President tries to gloss over who is attacking and killing Christians. The media describes the killings as “sectarian.” But the truth is the truth, there is a worldwide war on Christians by a fanatical element of Islam,” Paul’s statement reads.

Paul also cites the recent battle of Maalula, Syria, a Christian city. When rebel forces invaded in August, they reportedly forced at least one Christian to convert to Islam at gunpoint, and killed others for not converting.

He also mentions the shooting of a priest in Zanzibar, committed by two young Muslims. He did not, of course, mention any of the numerous incidents of anti-Muslim violence in America. Often, Christian bigots even attack Sikhs in turbans, not realizing that Islam is an entirely different religion.

While the actions of Muslim terrorists are indeed appalling, there is little evidence that anti-Christian sentiment is the common reason for most attacks. After all, a radical Muslim is as likely to despise a Jewish or atheist American as a Christian one.

U.S. Army Declares War on Christians

Is it just a coincidence that the Southern Baptist website was blocked at many military installations around the nation a few weeks after a military representative labeled Roman Catholics and Evangelical Christians as extremists, according to recent articles in the Christian Post and on Fox News?

Representatives of several Christian organizations said they were insulted by being lumped in with terrorist groups such as Hamas and Al-Qaeda on the military’s list of dangerous cults.

Obama’s Orwellian World Persecutes Christians

Since the Obama Regime took power in 2009, it has been blatantly hostile towards not only conservatives, but in particular those who are conservative Christians. Now the Obama Regime is putting one of the top anti-Christian bigots on the payroll as a consultant to help the Pentagon formulate policies on religious tolerance.

Mikey Weinstein is the founder of the Orwellian named “Military Religious Freedom Foundation.” As with many far left groups, his mission is just the opposite of the title. He does not want religious freedom for the military. In fact, he wants just the opposite. He wants the military to be a religion free zone. Specifically he wants it to be a Christian free zone.

In a column he recently wrote for the far left The Huffington Post, Weinstein said:

“Today, we face incredibly well funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation’s armed forces. Oh my, my, my, how ‘Papa’s got a brand new bag.’

What’s Papa’s new tactic? You’re gonna just love this! These days, when ANYone attempts to bravely stand up against virulent religious oppression, these monstrosities cry out alligator tears in overflowing torrents and scream that it is, in fact, THEY who are the dispossessed, bereft and oppressed. C’mon, really, you pitiable unconstitutional carpetbaggers? It would be like the utter folly of 1960’s-era southern bigots howling like stuck pigs in protest that Rosa Parks’ civil rights activism is “abusing” them by destroying and disenfranchising their rights to sit in the front seat of buses in Montgomery, Alabama. Please, I beseech you! Let us call these ignoble actions what they are: the senseless and cowardly squallings of human monsters.

Queasy with the bright and promising lights of the cultural realities of the present day, those evil, fundamentalist Christian creatures and their spiritual heirs have taken refuge behind flimsy, well-worn, gauze-like euphemistic facades such as ‘family values’ and ‘religious liberty.’ These bandits coagulate their stenchful substances in organizations such as the American Family Association (AFA), the ultra-fundamentalist Family Research Council (FRC), and the Chaplains Alliance for Religious Liberty (CARL). The basis of their ruinous unity is the bane of human existence and progress: horrific hatred and blinding bigotry. However, when the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and others correctly characterize them as “hate groups,” they all too predictably raise a deafening hue and disingenuously bellow mournfully like the world class cowards they are.”

Visceral hatred for conservative Christians

Radical Christianity vs. Radical Islam

Finally, Bill Maher got something right. Following the Boston bombings, Maher responded to Brian Levy, the director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at California State University in San Bernardino (a great example of needed reforms in public higher education), “[T]here’s only one faith, for example, that kills you or wants to kill you if you draw a bad cartoon of the prophet. There’s only one faith that kills you or wants to kill you if you renounce the faith.”

There you have it. Even a flaming atheist can recognize the difference between a religion of peace and one full of bloodlust. The Tsarnaevs are just the most recent example of the tragic bitter fruit produced by radical Islamists. To further Maher’s point, consider and contrast the efforts of radical Islamists with those of radical Christians.

Just what is a “radical Christian”? Some might call them (with apologies to DC Talk) “Jesus Freaks.” Examples are all around us, and most are virtually unknown outside their home towns (mainly because they don’t make the news by killing people). They plant churches, feed the poor, heal the sick; they open orphanages and pregnancy resource centers; they visit prisoners and deliver the oppressed; in other words, they have sold themselves out to be the hands and feet of the One they worship.

Some popular examples would include men like the late Jim Elliot, who served and evangelized the Quechua Indians, even though it cost him his life. Countless Christians have forsaken the comforts of Western civilization to go and fulfill the call of Christ. In other words, Christianity exports its radicals to bring life and hope, while much of Islam does so to bring death and despair.

Radical Christian and Habitat for Humanity founder Millard Fuller and his wife Linda started an organization “that has helped build or repair more than 600,000 houses and served more than 3 million people around the world.” The organization began in 1968, and the Fullers moved to Mbandaka, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) in 1973 to spread their mission of affordable housing to developing countries.

Meanwhile, Muslims in Pakistan recently burned nearly 200 Christian homes over the alleged blasphemy against Muhammad by a Christian sanitation worker. Coptic Christians continue to suffer under the “reforms” taking place in Egypt. The Coptic minority have been murdered and seen their homes, businesses, and churches looted and burned.

Radical Christians build hospitals. Radical Muslims seek to fill them up. Christians have led the world in caring for the sick and dying among us. As Virginia Health Information notes, “[s]ome of the earliest hospitals existed in ancient Rome in 100 BC as important centers for the emergency care of sick and wounded soldiers. With the spread of Christianity, hospitals grew as part of the church’s mission and became part of the community as they tended to health care not only for soldiers but also for all who needed it.”

The first hospital in North America, the Hospital de Jesus Nazareno, was founded by Cortés. The first hospital in the U.S, Pennsylvania Hospital, was founded by a Quaker, Dr. Thomas Bond (with the aid of Benjamin Franklin). The Catholic Church alone operates over 1,100 hospitals and long-term health care facilities in the U.S. What’s more, a 2010 study revealed that Christian hospitals in the U.S. outperform all others.

Radical Christians build schools. The world’s first university, birthed in 1088, was The University of Bologna in Italy. It was founded to teach canon (church) law. The second-oldest university, The University of Paris, grew out of the cathedral schools of Notre-Dame and soon became a great center for Christian orthodox studies. Dr. Alvin J. Schmidt, in his book Under the Influence: How Christianity Transformed Civilization, points out that every college established in colonial America, except the University of Pennsylvania, was founded by some denomination of Christianity. He adds that, preceding the Civil War, 92 percent of the 182 colleges and universities in the U.S. were established by some branch of the church.

Radical Muslims attack young girls who merely want an education. In 2012, Taliban forces in Afghanistan were responsible for what was described as “an intentional act to poison schoolgirls.” More than 150 girls in northeastern Afghanistan suffered in the attack. “Every day [in fact, just the other day], you hear that somebody’s thrown acid at a girl’s face … or they poison their water,” moaned the founder of a girls school outside Kabul.

According to the U.N., there were nearly 200 attacks on schools and hospitals in Afghanistan in 2011. In addition, radical Islamists also attack administrators who don’t conform to their ideas of what constitutes a proper education. According to Reuters, “[r]adical Muslims burst into a Tunisian school … and assaulted [nearly killing] its chief after he barred entry to a teenage girl wearing a niqab.”

Car bombs detonated by Muslim radicals have killed dozens in Somalia and Nigeria this year alone. Just last month, Muslim suicide bombers in Pakistan and Syria killed well over 100 people. Whether it’s bombing, burning, beheading, hacking, poisoning, or shooting, the list of Muslim violence is long and obscene.

Of course, the proper Christian response to such violence is never revenge. (However, justice is another matter.) As we look to be salt and light to those outside Christianity — whether they be violent, mocking, or merely apathetic — we must never forget that Christ came not to destroy lives, but to save them. This is why, when it comes to comparing radical Christians to radical Islamists, there is no comparison.
