እ.አ.አ በ1656 ዓ.ም በፖላንድ ላይ ተቃጥቶ የነበረውን የስዊድኖች የጥቃት ወረራ በጥቁሯ ማርያም እርዳታ ሲከሽፍ የፖላንድ ንጉሥ ካዚሚሬስ ጥቁሯን እመቤታችንን የፖላንድ ንግሥት እንድትሆን ወሰነ። ብልሕ ንጉሥ!

እ.አ.አ በ1944 ዓ.ም በሁለተኛው የዓለም ጦርነት ክፉኛ የደቀቁት (1/5ኛው ሕዝቧ፤ 6ሚሊየን ፕላንዳውያን አልቀዋል ) ፖላንዳውያኑ የጥቁሯን/ኢትዮጵያውያን እመቤታችንን ስዕል ተሸክመው እስከ ኔዘርላንድስ/ሆላንድ ድርሰ ዘልቀው በመግባት ቪዲዮው ላይ የምትታየውን የብሬዳ ከተማን ነፃ ለማውጣት በቅተዋል። ድንቅ ተዓምር!

ጥቁሯ ማርያም (Black Madonna of Czestochowa) እ.አ.አ በ1944 ዓ.ም የኔዘርላንድሷን(ሆላንድ) ከተማ ብሬዳን ከናዚዎች ነፃ ላወጧት የፖላንድ ወታደሮች በ1954 ዓ.ም የተሠራ መታሰቢያ ላይ ሰሞኑን በመላው ዓለም በመካሄድ ካለው ከፀረ-ዘረኝነት እንቅስቃሴ ጋር በተያያዘ ያልታወቁ ሰዎች “BLM“ ( Black Lives Matter – BLM “የጥቁርም ሕይወት ይገባዋል”) በሚል ትልቅ ጽሑፍ ለማበላሸት ደፍረዋል። ትልቅ ቅሌት!

ለእናታችን ትልቅ ፍቅር ያላቸው ፖላንዳውያን የሚያሳዩት የእመቤታችን ቅዱስ ሥዕል ነጭ ሳይሆን እንዲህ ይመስላል። የእናት እና ልጇ ውበት ልብን ያሞቃል!

ለመሆኑ የጥቁሯ ማርያም ስዕልን የሚቃወም የጥቁሮች እንቅስቃሴ አለ እንዴ? ይህን ጽንፈኛ ተግባር ሊፈጸም የሚችለውስ በማን ይሆን? በኮሙኒስቶች? በፌሚኒስቶች? በግብረ–ሰዶማውያን? በመሀመዳውያን?። ሁሉም የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚዎች ናቸውን አያደርጉትም አይባሉም።

እንቅስቃሴው ቀስ በቀስ በዘረኞች፣ በኮሙኒስቶች፣ በግብረ-ሰዶማውያን እና በአህዛብ እይተጠለፈ ነው። የጥቁር ሕዝቦች ለነፃነትና ህይወት የሚያደርጉትን ትግል ሁሌ የሚጠልፉት እነዚህ ቡድኖች ናቸው። ለዚህ ነው ጥቁሮች ተገቢውን የነፃነት ዒላማ ከመምታት መንገድ ላይ የሚቀሩት። በሃገራችንም ተመሳሳይ ክስተት ይታያል፤ የኢትዮጵያ ብሔርተኛውን አጀንዳ ዘውገኞቹ ኦሮሞዎችና አህዛብ በሁሉም መስክ ጠልፈው እየወሰዱት ነው።

አሁን አጋጣሚውን በመጠቀም ግራኞች፣ ኮሙኒስቶች፣ ፌሚንስቶች እና ሰዶማውያን ከመሀመድ አርበኞች ጋር በማበር በዓብያተ ክርስቲያናት ላይ በመላው አውሮፓ እና አሜሪካ ጥቃት በመፈጸም ላይ ናቸው። አጋንንት የተለቀቁበት ዘመን ላይ ነንና ግድ የለም እራሳቸውን እንዲህ ያጋልጡ፣ ይታዩን፤ ጊዚያቸው በጣም አጭር ነው!

ለማንኛውም እንደ ፖላንድ፣ ሩሲያ፣ ሩማኒያ፣ ፈረንሳይ፣ ስፔይን ወዘተ ላሉ አውሮፓውያን ሃገራት እኛ ኢትዮጵያውያን በድንቁርናችን ነጭ የቆዳ ቀለም እና ሰማያዊ ዓይኖች እያለበስን ያመጣናት ጥቁሯ/ ኢትዮጵያዊቷ ቅድስት ማርያም በታሪካቸው በጣም ብዙ የሆኑ ተዓምራትንና ድሎችን አሳይታቸዋለች።

በተለይ በምስራቅ አውሮፓ በኮሙኒዝም እና ኦቶማን ቱርክ ዘመን አስከፊ ልምዱ ላላቸው ለምስራቅ አውሮፓውያን በጥቁሯ/ኢትዮጵያዊቷ ቅድስት ማርያም ጉዳይ ምንም ድርድር የለም። በዘመነ ኮሮና በእነዚህ አገራት ከተሞች ጎዳናዎች ላይ በእጣን ታጅበው እንዲወጡ የተደረጉት የእናታችን የጥቁሯ ማርያም ስዕላት ናቸው። (በሌላ ቪዲዮ አቀርበዋለሁ)

አስገራሚ የሆነው የቼስቶኮቫ ጥቁር ቅድስት ድንግል ማርያም አይከን/ሥዕል/ጽሑፍ ቅዱስ ሐዋርያው እና ወንጌላዊ ሉቃስ ከሣላቸው/ከጻፋቸው ሰባ ቅዱሳት ሥዕላት/ጽሑፎች መካከል አንዱ እንደሆነ ይታመናል።

ሮማውያን በ 66 ዓ.ም. ከተማዋን ድል ባደረጉበት ጊዜ ምስሉ ከኢየሩሳሌም ተወስዶ ነበር። እናም ፔላ አቅራቢያ ባለ ዋሻ ውስጥ ተደብቆ ነበር። ስዕሉ ለቅድስት ሔለን (እ.ኤ.አ. ግንቦት 21/ 326 ዓ.ም) ቅድስት አገር ስትጎበኝ ተሰጣት፤ ከዚያም ቅድስት ሔለን ወደ ቁስጥንጥንያ አመጣችው።

ይህ ተዓምረኛ ሥዕል ከስምንተኛው ክፍለ ዘመን ጀምሮ በመላው አውሮፓ በኦሮቶዶክሳውያን እና ካቶሊኮች ዘንድ ብዙ ተዓምራትን ካሳየ በኋላ ከአስራ አራተኛው ክፍለዘመን ጀምሮ ያስና ጎራ/ ቺስታኮቫ በተባለው የፖላንድ አውራጃ ይገኛል። ድንቅ ተዓምራት የሚታዩበት ይህ ቦታ በብዙ ጎብኞዎች ይዘወተራል። አረመኔው አዶልፍ ሂትለር ያስና ጎራን/ ቺስታኮቫን ለጎብኝዎች ዝግ እንዲሆን አድርጎ ነበር።

Some manuscripts dating to the 13th century may have been stolen and burned in ‘cultural cleansing’

Churches and mosques in Ethiopia are being attacked and their sacred treasures looted in a catastrophic conflict in the northern Tigray region that is causing destruction, loss of life and a surge of refugees to Sudan, according to international experts.

They are warning of historical vandalism and “cultural cleansing”, fearing that religious sites have not been exempt from shelling and that a nation is being robbed of its ancient religious heritage, to the distress of Ethiopians of all faiths.

There are reports of Christian manuscripts being stolen from churches and monasteries, and burned – with some manuscripts as old as the 13th century – and of historic Muslim sites being damaged and looted. They include the building housing the tombs of 12 of Muhammad’s companions, beside the Al-Nejashi Mosque at Negash, north of Wuqro – the most important Muslim pilgrim site in East Africa.

“This is cultural cleansing,” warned Michael Gervers, a professor of history at the University of Toronto.

“The government and the Eritreans want to wipe out the Tigrayan culture. They think they’re better than rest of the people in the country. The looting is about destroying and removing the cultural presence of Tigray. We don’t know where it’s going yet. One of the first reports I had is that manuscripts were being driven south… They’re emptying the physical evidence of culture from the province.”

On 4 November, Ethiopia’s prime minister, Abiy Ahmed – who received the Nobel peace prize for ending a war with neighbouring Eritrea – ordered a military response to an attack by Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) forces on a military camp in the region. Both the Ethiopian and Eritrean governments have denied reports that Eritrean forces are in Tigray.

The United Nations has warned of mass killings in Tigray, as concern has grown for the safety of the refugees. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, said office had received allegations of international humanitarian law and human rights law violations, including artillery strikes on populated areas, the deliberate targeting of civilians, extrajudicial killings and widespread looting.

Christianity arrived in the ancient Aksumite kingdom, with its centre in today’s Tigray, in the 4th century. Although Muslims founded their first mosque outside Mecca there in the early time of Muhammad, the community of Tigrayan Muslims is today a well-established minority. Tigray is home to thousands of churches and monasteries, with the oldest carved into rock-faces. Christian texts written in the classical language, Ge’ez, are among hundreds of thousands of sacred manuscripts in Ethiopia.

Prof Gervers spoke to the Telegraph about the “deplorable situation in Tigray”: “I know the province well, having worked there occasionally between 1982 and 1993, and annually since 2000. My objective has been to examine archaeological sites and to document Christian antiquities.”

With a media blackout and local people frightened to talk, verifying reports is difficult, he said: “But I have heard that the ancient Muslim tomb at Negash has been badly damaged and the Amanuel church, which has sat on the top of a pinnacle for centuries, has been damaged through shelling. Around 800 Ge’ez manuscripts were looted from the Shire region… The list goes on. A Belgian team… managed to reach the town of Shire, where they videotaped a tank covered with looted goods.”

Dr Wolbert Smidt, a German academic who has long worked on historical sites in Tigray, said that “attacks and battles around, at and nearby such sites, show a very great danger for them”.

Referring to unverified reports of shootings around the most ancient and sacred church of Ethiopian Christianity, Maaryam Zion in Aksum – which is said to hold the Ark of the Covenant – and the attack on the tomb at Negash, he spoke of his shock that two of the most sacred sites for both Christians and Muslims have been targeted, perhaps from a “desire to attack places important for the local identity”.

He added that breaking “the traditional rule of sacred places being absolute sanctuaries” is a tragedy, both for an “already deeply-shocked local population” and the world’s heritage.

Prof Gervers said: “I’ve not heard more than rumours about the looting of the Arc from Maaryam Zion, but if it’s true that up to 750 died defending it, it is conceivable that the attackers didn’t stop there.”

The International Tigrayan Muslims Association expressed outrage over the attack on the Al-Nejashi Mosque.

Prof Gervers called for “an intervention by whichever international power can pressure the Ethiopian government to lay off its onslaught”. He added: “To date, no one seems able or ready to step forward and call foul. If world powers stay aloof, it seems to suggest that they agree with what is going on.”

In an open letter of 13 January, academics from Hamburg University voiced alarm, calling for “the warring parties to abstain from attacking the cultural heritage and to respect the integrity of the places, both religious and secular”.

የአሜሪካ ውድቀት | የድንግል ማርያም ጠላቶች በካሊፎርኒያ ሐውልቷን አፈረሱ

A vandal appears to be targeting Catholic churches in Pomona Valley, with the most recent attack on a beloved statue at a Chino church.

“This is a place we come to feel safe, to feel God’s presence, to worship with our community,” said Marianne Hacker, pastoral administrator at Saint Margaret Mary’s Church.

She’s guarded the chapel for more than 50 years, the entire time the church has been in existence on Central Avenue in Chino.

“It brings people comfort,” Hacker said.

But on March 30, a vandal trespassed onto the property and delivered a blow that severed the statue in two.

“It’s like a clean cut,” Hacker said.

The damage made the church recall a strikingly similar crime at another local Catholic church.

“That’s why I’m thinking it was a sledgehammer like they used at Our Lady Lourdes,” Hacker said.

Just a month ago and three miles away in Montclair, a person was caught on camera hopping onto a planter at Our Lady Lourdes Catholic Church and using what appeared to be a sledgehammer to hack the heads off two of their statues.

“Definitely trying to make a statement,” Hacker said.

Saint Margaret Mary’s Church thinks the same person is responsible for both crimes, and now they wonder if the same person destroyed their double pane stained glass window last month.

“It’s a picture also of Mary that was just shattered by a huge, huge stone,” Hacker said.

Both churches say they don’t know why they were targeted, but they’re praying for the person who’s trying to hurt them.

“We’re always willing to forgive, and we’re always willing to help if there’s anger,” Hacker said.

The church says it will be using part of its renovation budget to purchase a new security camera.

Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus Statue Smashed at Stamford Church

Police in Connecticut are searching for a vandal or vandals who damaged a statue of Mary and baby Jesus outside a church just weeks before Easter.

Priests at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Stamford are vowing to rebuild better than before.

The statue was literally defaced, the act of vandalism so extreme that Mary’s mouth, chin and cheek are gone, along with Jesus’ entire face.

“That’s a religious symbol, and it should be really respected,” parishioner Ann Marie Brown said. “It’s awful and terrible that someone really tries to destroy it, especially when it’s something that doesn’t move and will never harm you in this world.”

The vandalism was discovered Sunday morning before Masses, and it is believed a rock was used to batter the statue.

One of the parish’s resident priests says he thinks the vandalism is the work of a teenager or young person.

“And they react to things that might make them look a little bit more popular in front of their friends,” Fr. Al Audette said. “Or do something in a way that’s more mischievous than anything else.”

Some parishioners were devastated.

“My heart is broken because this has happened once before, and now it’s happened again,” Mike Piacenza said. ” And I can’t understand why whoever did something like this, in this day and age, just unbelievable.”

The church dates back to the 1850s, and the statue has stood in front of the rectory next door for 40 years.

Because the building is the initial stages of a renovation, surveillance cameras were turned off.

Fr. Audette says he doubts the incident is linked to anger over the ongoing child sex abuse scandal that has rocked the Catholic Church, because he says that might have resulted in more serious damage beyond just the statue.

“We pray for people who do things like this, and being a Roman Catholic, we expect these kinds of actions to happen,” he said. “But we know that it isn’t because people hate the church.”

The statue is damaged beyond repair and will have to be replaced.

Canada: Ethiopian Church Hit by Vandals

Board members of an Ethiopian Christian church in Hammonds Plains, N.S., met Tuesday night after the church’s sign was cut down and stolen by vandals.

The sign outside St. Gebriel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church on Hammonds Plains Road had only been up for about six months when it was cut down with a chainsaw Monday night.
