My Note: Please read this remarkable information in the context of these two wicked church leaders who recently removed their Crosses in Jerusalem.
Archeologists discovered an ancient Cross belonging to a Crusader warrior from the 13th century. As we read in one report:
Researchers have announced new revelations in their ongoing restoration of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, believed to be the tomb where Jesus Christ was buried before His resurrection, and have discovered an engraved cross believed to have been left by 12th century crusaders.
The Mirror reports that workers at the famous church, which has been rebuilt and destroyed numerous times throughout the centuries, have lifted the tomb’s marble lid for the first time in 500 years. Previously, they discovered the limestone shelf where Jesus’s body is believed to have been placed after His crucifixion.
Now, they have also found a second gray marble slab they did not know about before, which is reportedly engraved with a cross carved by 12th century crusaders.
“The most amazing thing for me was when we removed the first layer of dust and found a second piece of marble,” said Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic, a partner in the restoration project.
“This one was grey, not creamy white like the exterior, and right in the middle of it was a beautifully inscribed cross. We had no idea that was there,” he added.
Hiebert said getting the Greek Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Armenian Orthodox Church leaders responsible for the tomb to agree to open it for repairs was a difficult task, but he was very glad when the communities came to an agreement, allowing the project to go ahead.
“Everything has to be approved by the committee, so even changing a candle takes a long time,” the researcher revealed.
“There is a ladder by the main entrance to the church that hasn’t moved in 240 years and they still haven’t reached a decision. It’s called the immovable ladder,” he added.
“So the fact we were finally allowed to carry out this work is a triumph of negotiation.”
The archaeologists are using radar and thermographic scanners to gather information from the insides of the tomb before unsealing it, but have warned that the data is so extensive that it will take months to analyze.
The MailOnline shared dozens of new images last week of the $3.7 million restoration project, which is expected to continue into spring 2017.
Part of the project will also seek further evidence to support the claim that the tomb is indeed the location where Jesus was buried.
What a sublime moment, what a beautiful thing to behold! The God-Man, the Center of all mortals, the One Who Is, the I AM, became one with Humanity to war against the prince of darkness, to destroy the works of devil, and in the most pertinent of battles, the war for mankind’s soul, Christ died. It seemed as though the General of Heaven’s armies was crushed, defeated and had lost. In the tomb He lay, holy women came by with spices of sweet fragrance and aroma, but lo, they saw Him, triumphant over death, conquering and triumphed. He vanquished the serpent, He bridged humanity to God, He assailed the greatest foe, He surpassed death and laughed at him.
The acolytes of the darkness, the followers of Muhammad, overran the sacred land upon which God walked, upon which God conversed with His earliest disciples, upon which God looked to the city on a hill, glistening on the ascended sun, and wept. They conquered the land and slaughtered the people, the desecrated the holy sites and the churches, they ravished the women and slaughtered the priests, they tormented and crucified the inhabitants.
The Church of Rome, glorious and full of valor, called for the warriors of Christ to emulate their Savior, to take up the Cross as He took up the Cross, to ascend the mountain of sacred struggle as He treaded upwards with the most dolorous of labors to Mount Golgotha, to combat the agents of Satan as He crushed the serpent in the cosmic war for man’s soul.
The eye could have beheld all those men, countless and innumerable in their multitudes, taking up their crosses and carrying the holy wood with Christ, as Simon of Cyrene bore the weight of the Crucifixion when he lifted the heavy gibbet with the Savior. They marched into Jerusalem, and as they ascended the mountain of eternal struggle, they combated the enemies of the Cross in the midst of the heavenly Mount Zion, being in the presence of the holy warriors of bygone times. The rays of the sun gleamed upon their armor, blood and sweat tinged their faces, from their actions beamed the effulgent light that emanates from self-abnegation.
A holy people, a holy nation, under whom stood as their King — the Christ and His Mother, the Queen of Heaven, the one in whose womb Divinity became one with Humanity — they laughed at death, for in their hearts was the Defeater of death. With tears in their did they remember Christ, after the battle was finally over; with praises from their mouths did they remember the victory of Mount Golgotha, and as the moon receives glory from the sun, so did the light of glory shine through their actions from the sacrifice of their king.
In that land, which was now ruled by Christendom’s hands, soldiers of the Cross entered the tomb where death was defeated, and one of them, after stern contemplation, on death and on life, on saints and on the sacred, left a cross behind, and till this day it reminds us, of the beauty of sacrifice.

What more evidence is needed to prove that Islam is at war with Christianity than its well documented hatred for the quintessential symbol of Christianity: the cross?
This recently occurred to me as I was surfing Arabic-language videos and websites discussing Christianity – only to encounter one hostile video, fatwa, or sermon after another against the cross.
Only one seemingly spoke well of the cross – though for a reason that again demonstrated Islam’s hostility for Christians. According to Al Azhar professor Dr. Salim Abdul Galil, Muslims can be tolerant of the cross – they can even wear and pray before it – but only when in need of deceiving Christians, whom the learned cleric portrayed as the natural enemies of Muslims.
The most telling talk show featured Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Tarifi, a Saudi expert on Islamic law. Asked about Islam’s ruling on whether any person – in this case, Christians – is permitted to wear or pray before the cross, the learned Muslim explained: “Under no circumstances is a human permitted to wear the cross” nor “is anyone permitted to pray to the cross.” The reason? “Because the prophet – peace and blessings on him – commanded the breaking of it [the cross].”
Indeed, as with all of Islam’s hostilities, animosity for the cross begins with Muhammad. He “had such a repugnance to the form of the cross that he broke everything brought into his house with its figure upon it,” he once ordered someone wearing a cross to “take off that piece of idolatry,” and he claimed that at the End Times, Isa (Islam’s version of Jesus) will make it a point to “break the cross” as proof that Christians had gotten it wrong all along.
The reason for this animosity is that the cross symbolizes that which Islam was developed in direct contradistinction to. As Sidney Griffith, author of The Church in the Shadow of the Mosque, put it, “[t]he cross and the icons publicly declared those very points of Christian faith which the Koran, in the Muslim view, explicitly denied: that Christ was the Son of God and that he died on the cross.” Thus, “the Christian practice of venerating the cross and the icons of Christ and the saints often aroused the disdain of Muslims,” so that there was an ongoing “campaign to erase the public symbols of Christianity [in formerly Christian lands such as Egypt and Syria], especially the previously ubiquitous sign of the cross.”
According to the Conditions of Omar – a medieval text that lays out the many humiliating stipulations conquered Christians must embrace to preserve their lives and that Islamic history attributes to the second “righteous caliph,” Omar al-Khattab – Christians are “[n]ot to display a cross [on churches]” and “[n]ot to produce a cross or [Christian] book in the markets of the Muslims.”
During the aforementioned talk show, the Saudi cleric also explained that if it is too difficult to break the cross – for instance, a large concrete statue – Muslims should at least try to disfigure one of its four arms “so that it no longer resembles a cross.”
We actually have much historic and numismatic evidence of this approach going back to the century of Islam’s founding. Almost all of the gold coins that belonged to the Christian Byzantine Empire had the image of the cross on one side. After the Byzantine treasury was seized during the Muslim conquests, the caliphate ordered that one or two arms of the cross be effaced so that the image no longer resembled a cross.
As for the smaller crosses that Muslims could break, again, we have testimonies from the very earliest invasions into Christian Syria of Muslims systematically breaking every crucifix they encountered – to the point that Christians were convinced that the invaders were demons, if not worse. In the words of Anastasius of Sinai, who lived during the earliest invasions, “[n]ote well that the demons name the Saracens [Arabs/Muslims] as their companions. At it is with reason. The latter are perhaps even worse than the demons,” for whereas “the demons are frequently much afraid of the mysteries of Christ,” among which he mentions crosses and churches, “these demons of flesh trample all that under their feet, mock it, set fire to it, destroy it[.]“
Sophronius, the patriarch of Jerusalem when its walls were being sieged by Muslims in 638, lamented:
Why are the troops of the Saracens attacking us? Why has there been so much destruction and plunder? Why are there incessant outpourings of human blood? Why are the birds of the sky devouring human bodies? Why have churches been pulled down? Why is the cross mocked? Why is Christ … blasphemed by pagan mouths?
Even Saladin (d. 1193) – regularly touted in the West for his “magnanimity” – ordered “the removal of every cross from atop the dome of every church in the provinces of Egypt,” according to The History of the Patriarchate of the Egyptian Church.
In light of the above, it should come as no surprise that the Islamic State (“ISIS”) also exhibits hate for the crucifix. In its communiqués to the West, hostile reference to the cross is often made: “We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah[.] … [We will cast] fear into the hearts of the cross-worshipers[.]”
Similarly, in post-“Arab Spring” Libya, now another ISIS stronghold, a video of a Muslim mob attacking a commonwealth cemetery near Benghazi appeared on the internet. As the Muslims kicked down and destroyed headstones with crosses on them, the man videotaping them urged them to “break the cross of the dogs!” while he and others cried “Allahu akbar!” Toward the end of the video, the mob congregated around the huge Cross of Sacrifice, the cemetery’s cenotaph monument, and started to hammer at it, to more cries of “Allahu akbar.” Other Christian cemeteries in post-“Arab Spring” Libya have suffered similarly.
Most recently, pictures emerged from a Christian cemetery in Iraq that was vandalized by ISIS. Broken and scattered crosses appear. In one picture, the jihadis broke into a coffin, snapped off the head of the withered corpse, and threw the crucifixes surrounding it on the ground.
Lest all this still seem aberrant – limited to some obscure saying of Muhammad, or “ancient history,” or the doings of “radical” groups like ISIS – below is a very partial list of examples of how the crucifix throws “everyday” Muslims into savage paroxysms:
Pakistan: When a Muslim man saw Julie Aftab, a Christian woman, wearing a cross around her neck, he attacked her, forced battery acid down her throat, and splashed it on her face – permanently damaging her esophagus, blinding her in one eye, and causing her to lose both eyelids and most of her teeth.
Egypt: A young Coptic Christian woman named Mary was mauled to death when her cross identified her as a Christian to Muslim Brotherhood rioters. Before her, 17-year-old Ayman, a Coptic student, was strangled and beaten to death by his Muslim teacher and some fellow students for refusing to obey the teacher’s orders to remove his cross.
Even in Muslim nations deemed “moderate,” violence provoked by the cross is not uncommon.
Maldives: Authorities had to rescue a female Christian teacher after Muslim “parents threatened to tie and drag her off of the island” for “preaching Christianity.” Her crime was to draw a compass – which was mistakenly taken for a cross – as part of a geography lesson in class.
As Islam’s presence continues to grow in Europe, it should come as no surprise that attacks on crosses are also on the rise:
Italy:
A Moroccan migrant invaded an old church in Venice and attacked its large, 300-year-old cross, breaking off one of its arms while shouting, “All that is in a church is false!”
A Muslim boy of African origin picked on, insulted, and eventually beat a 12-year-old Catholic girl during school because she was wearing a crucifix.
After yet another crucifix was destroyed in close proximity to a populated mosque, the area’s mayor did not mince words concerning the identity of the culprit(s): “Before we put a show of unity with Muslims, let’s have them begin by respecting our civilization and our culture.”
France:
A Muslim man committed major acts of vandalism at two churches. Along with twisting a massive bronze cross, he overturned and broke two altars, the candelabras, and lecterns; destroyed statues; tore down a tabernacle, smashed in a sacristy door; and even broke some stained glass windows. (Click for images.)
Christian crosses and gravestones in a cemetery were damaged and desecrated by a Muslim. After being apprehended, he was described as follows: “The man repeats Muslim prayers over and over, he drools and cannot be communicated with: his condition has been declared incompatible with preliminary detention.” He was hospitalized as “mentally unbalanced.” (See his handiwork.)
Germany:
A Muslim man who checked himself into a hospital for treatment went into a sudden frenzy because there were “too many crosses on the wall.” He called the nurse a “bitch” and “fascist” and became physically aggressive.
Of course, Islamic hostility for the cross is only encouraged by Europeans themselves, who happily comply with Islam’s “sensitivities.”
Spain: Real Madrid, a professional football (soccer), team stripped the traditional Christian cross from its club crest as part of a deal with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi – “so as not to offend Muslim sensibilities in the United Arab Emirates.”
United Kingdom: Offensive crucifixes are being removed from prisons in order not to offend Muslim inmates (who are further provided with food baths for Islamic rituals).
Germans in Jerusalem: At the request of their Muslim hosts, German bishops are now removing their pectoral crosses when visiting the Temple Mount. Bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm (Munich) rationalized his capitulation by saying, “We acted out of respect for the hosts,” insisting that his decision is “not at all a denial of the cross, but a response to the wish of the hosts.”
Such is the history and continuity of Islam’s hate for the cross – that symbol that represents the heart of the Christian faith, including the death and resurrection of Christ, which Islam strongly denounces as a lie. Islam’s war on the cross began with Muhammad, was carried out by earliest caliphs and jihadis, and continues to this day by the new “caliphate” and many “everyday” Muslims.
Meanwhile, far from calling Islam out, Western liberal Christians continue calling for more Muslim refugees and carrying signs proclaiming, “I’m Christian and I love the Qur’an.”
The devil flees from Jesus on the cross so if you do not already have one, get a Crucifix and have it blessed by a priest, and place it in a appropriate and worthy place in your home–and most especially, pray to Jesus before it each day. Also, if you do not have one, get a crucifix on a necklace, get it blessed and wear it with devotion and prayer.

“We have come to know LOVE by THIS: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.” [1 John 3:16 (NET Bible)]
“And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.” [Matthew 10:38]
This is Laminin. Do you notice its shape? Isn’t it amazing that God would think so far in the future, and make the very thing that makes us think of Jesus, make up and play a crucial role in how we are formed? God formed you to not only live as an image of Christ, but to never escape the fact that you are HIS! We are branded by the Cross! “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together” Colossians 1:17
Laminin is a protein that is part of the extracellular matrix in humans and animals. The extracellular matrix (ECM) lies outside of cells and provides support and attachment for cells inside organs (along with many other functions). Laminin has “arms” that associate with other laminin molecules to form sheets and bind to cells. Laminin and other ECM proteins essentially “glue” the cells (such as those lining the stomach and intestines) to a foundation of connective tissue. This keeps the cells in place and allows them to function properly. The structure of laminin is very important for its function (as is true for all proteins). One type of congenital muscular dystrophy results from defects in laminin.

Saudi Arabia Hajj Disaster Death Toll Has Reached at Least 2,177
The crush and stampede that struck the hajj last month in Saudi Arabia killed at least 2,177 pilgrims, a new Associated Press tally showed Monday, after officials in the kingdom met to discuss the tragedy.
The toll keeps rising from the Sept. 24 disaster outside Mecca as individual countries identify bodies and work to determine the whereabouts of hundreds of pilgrims still missing. The official Saudi toll of 769 people killed and 934 injured has not changed since Sept. 26, and officials have yet to address the discrepancy.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, who is also the kingdom’s interior minister, oversaw a meeting late Sunday about the disaster in Mina, according to the official Saudi Press Agency. The agency’s report did not mention any official response to the rising death toll.
“The crown prince was reassured on the progress of the investigations,” the SPA report said. “He directed the committee’s members to continue their efforts to find the causes of the accident, praying to Allah Almighty to accept the martyrs and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.”
King Salman ordered the investigation into the disaster, the deadliest in the history of the annual pilgrimage. It came after a crane collapse in Mecca earlier that month killed 111 worshippers, and the twin disasters marred the first hajj to be overseen by the king since he ascended to the throne at the start of this year.
The Saudi king holds the title of “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,” and the monarchy’s supervision of the hajjis a source of great prestige in the Muslim world. Riyadh has rejected a suggestion by Shiite power Iran, its main regional rival, to have an independent body take over planning and administering the five-day hajj pilgrimage, which is required of all able-bodied Muslims once in their lifetimes.
Associated PressAn Iranian mourner weeps during a funeral ceremony, attended by thousands of mourners in Tehran, Iran, for some of the pilgrims who were killed in a stampede during the hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
Iran has repeatedly blamed the disaster on the Saudi royal family, accusing it of mismanagement and of covering up the real death toll, which Tehran says exceeds 4,700, without providing evidence.
“The lying and hypercritical bodies, which claim to (be promoting) human rights, as well as the Western governments, which sometimes make great fuss over the death of a single person, remained dead silent in this incident in favor of their allied government,” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Monday, according to a transcript on his website.
“If they were sincere, these self-proclaimed advocates of human rights should have demanded accountability, compensation, guarantee for non-recurrence and punishment for the perpetrators of this catastrophe.”
Iran and Saudi Arabia are deeply divided on a host of regional issues and back opposite sides in the wars in Syria and Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition has been at war with Iran-backed Shiite rebels, known as Houthis, since March.
Saudi Arabia has meanwhile been targeted in gun and bomb attacks by an affiliate of the extremist Islamic State group, which holds a third of Iraq and Syria in its self-declared “caliphate.” Like al-Qaida before it, the IS group views the Saudi royal family as illegitimate because of alleged corruption and its alliance with the United States.
The AP count of the dead from the Mina crush and stampede comes from state media reports and officials’ comments from 30 of the over 180 countries that sent citizens to the hajj.
Iran leads all the affected countries, saying it had 465 pilgrims killed. Many of the dead also came from Africa. Mali said it lost 254 people, while Nigeria lost 199, Cameroon lost 76, Niger lost 72, Senegal lost 61, and Ivory Coast and Benin both lost 52.
Others include Egypt with 182, Bangladesh with 137, Indonesia with 126, India with 116, Pakistan with 102, Ethiopia with 47, Chad with 43, Morocco with 36, Algeria with 33, Sudan with 30, Burkina Faso with 22, Tanzania with 20, Somalia with 10, Kenya with eight, Ghana and Turkey with seven, Myanmar and Libya with six, China with four, Afghanistan with two and Jordan and Malaysia with one.
The previous deadliest-ever incident at hajj was a 1990 stampede that killed 1,426 people.
My Note: Millions of Christian Ethiopians come together at “Meskal/Cross Square” for one of the most important annual Christian feasts. Never, ever in the history of the Ethiopian church has occurred that the faithful Christians have experienced like the weirdo Muslim stamped in Mecca. Million Christians lighten their candles to express their faith in The One True Egziabher God with brotherly/sisterly LOVE, PEACE and JOY – whereas, in Mecca we witness time and time again Muslims sacrificing their lives in order to please their god. All their dark ‘celebrations’ end up like the annual Serengeti wildebeest migration, in Tanzania, that begins in June and goes through until October featuring impressive crossings of the Mara River where wildebeest risk their lives to stampede through the water and are often attacked by crocodiles. (notice the time)
By the way, pay attention to the fact that the Islamic Eid al-Adha “Feast of the Sacrifice” is purposely placed between/around the two important Christian Holidays in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Calendar: New Year’s Day (September 11/12, and Meskel (September 27). Interesting, next year this Islamic feast will fall on September 11.
Remember, rain barely drops down in Mecca, but on September 11, 2015 the scary crane that collapsed on the grand Mosque was brought down by strong wind and heavy rain. In that surrounding geographical area it rains only in Ethiopia during that season ., on Ethiopia’s New Year’s Day, the strong wind (The Breath of God ) + heavy rain obviously came from the other side of the Red Sea, from Zion (the Holy Mountains of Ethiopia).
Those who plow iniquity and those who sow trouble harvest it. The roaring of the lion and the voice of the fierce lion, And the teeth of the young lions are broken.… I can’t wait for the next September 11!
“They will be put to shame and even humiliated, all of them; The manufacturers of idols will go away together in humiliation.” [Isaiah 45:16 ]
“By the breath of God they perish, And by the blast of His anger they come to an end“ [Job 4:9]
Mecca Crane Collapses on 9-11 Anniversary
September 11 (Day 254, Redemption): The weather angels caused a sudden thunderstorm over Mecca that toppled a crane on worshipers in a mosque on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attack on the US. A construction crane was struck by lightning and toppled onto the Grand Mosque about 5:45 PM Saudi time. Over 100 were killed and over 200 injured. The crane belonged to the Bin Laden family construction company, which is in charge of the £14 billion mosque expansion project.
Crance Collapse Chart
The Chart at the time of the crane collapse contained a Wing, a Coffin, and two Plows. A Wing is a symbol of power. The Wing corresponded to the crane. A Coffin is for burying the dead, and a Plow symbolizes intensive suffering, like being plowed under. One Plow pointed to the Last Adam in Sagittarius, for an enemy attack. The other Plow pointed to the God of the Covenants in Scorpius, for final judgment. The Judgment on the September 11 anniversary by the weather in an act of God was obviously God’s revenge (Rom 12:19), or redemption per the meaning of today, Day 254, for redemption.
The Redeemer Planet was on the Ascendant in Aquarius, for being redeemed from Sheol. This corresponds to those who didn’t die, but it also corresponds to God’s payback (Rom 12:19). Aquarius corresponds to Florida where three of the September 11 hijacker pilots received flight training.
Conclusion
The crane falling on the Mecca mosque during a thunderstorm corresponds to the Battle of the Thunderstorm (1 Sam 2:10; 7:10-11). The weather angels that caused the thunderstorm work for God – not Allah. The worshippers of Allah were cursed by God on the anniversary of September 11, 2001 by a Bin Laden family crane.
Fifteen of the 19 terrorists on September 11 were Saudi citizens. This is the link to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The Ascendant sign was Aquarius with the Redeemer Planet. This corresponds to redemption, or payback, associated with Florida, where three of the hijacker pilots trained. The Descendant was Leo, corresponding to Washington, DC. The Sun and Moon were setting, corresponding to the end of the day (or time period).
The cursing of the thunderstorm in the desert corresponds to the Judgment of the Prostitute of Babylon, who is behind the Muslim religion.
A curios note: All the youtube videos related to the crane collapse have a limited length of 0:20 seconds – even though many uploaded it for more than a minute. “Youtube” under Saudi pressure? See this screen shot.

A woman and her grandson held on to a big red cross for five hours as they were trapped in raging floodwaters in South Carolina Sunday before they were rescued.
Clara Gantt told NBC station WIS that at around 6 a.m., she drove her car to attend service at the Three Rivers Baptist Church in Irmo despite the incessant rains.
Because it was still dark and visibility was poor because of the rains, she underestimated the height of the flood which swept her car away.
“I knew there was water out there, but I didn’t know that it was going to stall me and it did,” said Gantt, according to NBC News.
Her car ended up on a field next to a small church. She attempted to call 911 but got no answer but she eventually reached her family. She was finally able to get in touch with her family.
At that point she said to herself, “Dear Lord are you taking me home right now?”
But then when she flipped over to her back she heard a voice inside her head, saying, “No, not right now.”
Her grandson, Travis Catchings, came to her rescue. He carried a deer harness and some rope. He was able to reach his grandmother, whose car had been washed off the road into a church yard at Jordan Independent Church. “I got [the door] open and got her out of the car,” Catchings said. “At that point we had to just sit there and wait,” he added, realising that both of them were now trapped in the flood.
“There was a little church right there. Where my car stopped was right beside a huge red cross,” Gantt said. “I was literally, after I got out of the car, holding onto the cross. I was clinging to the cross.”
Gantt and her grandson both held on to a bright red cross until the rescuers arrived.
Catchings said he was already feeling hopeless that they would be rescued on time since the floodwater was rising fast, so he made his last phone call to his wife.
“I really thought that was the last time that I was ever going to talk to her. I thought that was the last time that I’d ever going to hear her voice,” he said. “It was the hardest phone call I’ve ever made. And I just told her that I loved her, and I didn’t know what was going to happen.”
He added, “Jesus is my saviour. This story is not about me, it’s about what He did to save me. And He set my feet on higher ground.”
Gantt suffered a broken ankle because of the incident.
At least 17 people were killed in the South Carolina floods.

Viral tornado photo a sign from God?
A tornado ripped through parts of Oklahoma, destroying homes and leaving at least one person dead. But amid the destruction, one image is being shared across social media that is bringing hope in the affected community.
A high schooler, named Chase Rhodes, in Moore, Oklahoma took a picture of power pole Wednesday that was left hanging in the form of a cross surrounded by destruction. He captioned the tweet “God is with us,” and it has been retweeted and shared thousands of times.
Latoya Ammons and her family faced escalating experiences with demons that left evidence of their existence seen by credible witnesses outside her family. Blessings and exorcisms, more than one, finally brought peace
But, whatever the cause of the creepy occurrences that befell the family — whether they were seized by a systematic delusion or demonic possession — it led to one of the most unusual cases ever handled by the Department of Child Services. Many of the events are detailed in nearly 800 pages of official records obtained by The Indianapolis Star and recounted in more than a dozen interviews with police, DCS personnel, psychologists, family members and a Catholic priest.
Ammons, who swears by her story, has been unusually open. While she spoke on condition her children not be interviewed or named, she signed releases letting The Star review medical, psychological and official records that are not open to the public — and not always flattering.
Furthermore, the family’s story is made only more bizarre because it involves a DCS intervention, a string of psychological evaluations, a police investigation and, ultimately, a series of exorcisms.
It’s a tale, they say, that started with flies.
In November 2011, Ammons’ family moved into a rental house on Carolina Street in Gary, a quiet lane lined with small one-story homes. Big black flies suddenly swarmed their screened-in porch in December, despite the winter chill.
“This is not normal,” Ammons’ mother, Rosa Campbell, remembers thinking. “We killed them and killed them and killed them, but they kept coming back.”
There were other strange happenings, too.
After midnight, Campbell and Ammons both said, they occasionally heard the steady clump of footsteps climbing the basement stairs and the creak of the door opening between the basement and kitchen. No one was there.
Even after they locked the door, the noise continued.
Campbell said she awoke one night and saw a shadowy figure of a man pacing her living room. She leaped out of bed to investigate, and found large, wet bootprints.
On March 10, 2012, Campbell said, the family’s unease turned to fear.
