Cardinal Wilfrid Napier: Abortion Culture Cannot Hope for ‘Happy or Peaceful Future’

The intrepid Cardinal Wilfrid Napier has once again blasted the modern abortion-rights culture, suggesting that a society that “destroys its unborn babies with such abandon” should never hope to have a happy or peaceful future.

The South African Cardinal was responding to news posted on social media by pro-life champion Obianuju Ekeocha, who noted that only three days into 2018, the world had already seen the deaths of 293,548 unborn babies through “legal” abortion.

“I beg all people of goodwill to speak up against this injustice,” Ms. Ekeocha said. “Make it part of your mission this year to be unabashedly pro-life.”

Cardinal Napier replied with a rhetorical question, “How can a culture that destroys its unborn babies with such abandon ever hope to have a happy or peaceful future, which is the deepest-seated desire of every human heart?”

Shortly afterward, the prelate launched another indictment of the abortion lobby, this time in response to an Ohio ad campaign by an abortion provider that calls abortion “life-saving,” “sacred,” “a blessing,” and “safer than childbirth.”

“To say abortion is safer than child birth,” the cardinal tweeted, “is like saying ‘life’ in a grave in the cemetery is safer than life on the street. On the street you could get knocked over by a bus, mugged by a desperate drug user, or shot by an extremist!”

This is not the first time this cardinal, who is also the archbishop of Durban, has strongly voiced his firm opposition to the killing of children in the womb.

Last January, the cardinal reacted forcefully to President Obama’s farewell address to the nation by reminding people that Obama had been a global advocate of abortion-on-demand as well as an enemy of religious liberty.

Immediately following the farewell address, Napier retweeted a number of particularly pointed critiques of the outgoing president and his legacy, stressing the irony of Obama as a “son of Africa” funding illegal abortions in Africa as well as Marie Stopes International, the notorious abortion promoter that works throughout African nations.

In the summer of 2016, Napier called for an apology for the countless deaths at the hands of the U.S. abortion industry and, in particular, the disproportionate number of black babies who have been aborted, which he referred to as “genocide.”

Quoting the figure of more than 57 million babies legally aborted in the United States since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision (from Planned Parenthood’s own Guttmacher Institute), the Cardinal asked, “Isn’t this something we should be apologizing for?”

“President Obama is a threat to our country,” Donald Trump told me in a recent interview.

He’s right. Mr. Obama now poses a clear and present danger to America.

His stubborn insistence on resettling so-called “refugees” from Syria threatens to Balkanize our country and subvert it from within. The president is willing to potentially sacrifice countless Americans on the altar of liberal multiculturalism. He is gambling with our lives.

Obama’s resettlement plan is replete with lies and progressive propaganda. At first, the administration said it only wanted 10,000 refugees to enter the country. Now, the White House is openly talking about allowing 250,000 per year. In fact, the president recently announced that his goal is an “open-ended” refugee resettlement effort — meaning millions could be allowed to flood our country.

Moreover, who are these refugees? The answer is simple: They are predominantly young Muslim men. In Europe, nearly 80 percent of the migrants pouring into countries, such as Germany, Sweden and France, are Muslim males in their teens and 20s. In other words, they are the very profile of potential Islamic Jihadists. Yet, while Europeans are waking up to the civilizational invasion taking place, our morally arrogant liberal elites continue to peddle the fiction that only “widows and orphans” will be allowed to enter.

The administration also claims that the Muslim Syrian refugees are the “most thoroughly screened and vetted category of travelers” who can come into the United States.

That is another lie. For the Obama regime and its media allies are deliberately leaving out one salient fact: We do not pick the asylum-seekers, the United Nations does. In particular, it is the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Antonio Guterres, in coordination with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that selects which refugees can be settled within our country.

It is not the State Department, Homeland Security or even the White House that chooses the refugees, but an anti-American leftist bureaucrat and a global Islamist organization.

Mr. Guterres is a self-described “socialist,” who champions open borders and repopulating First World nations with Third World peoples as part of a radical internationalist agenda to redistribute wealth. From 1999 until 2005, he was the president of Socialist International, a global network of over 160 Marxist and far-left-wing parties active in about 100 countries. Their goal: “one-world government” through unlimited immigration.

The OIC is an international Islamic body that consists of 57 Muslim nations. It has deep links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Based in Saudi Arabia, the OIC’s founding charter openly espouses the expansion of Sharia Law and defends what it calls “legitimate Jihad.” In other words, it is an Islamist front group.

Think about this: Obama is entrusting the security of Americans — enabling the very “refugees” who could be coming to a town or community near you — to U.N. leftist globalists and radical Islamists. His policy is not only irresponsible and reckless; it borders on the criminal.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant has already boasted it has infiltrated the waves of Muslim migrants with thousands of Jihadists. In the Paris attacks, which killed 130 and wounded over 350 persons, ISIL made good on its threats: One of the terrorists managed to enter France posing as a “refugee” with a fake Syrian passport.

As Investor’s Business Daily reports, what Islamists are engaging in is what they call “hijra” — immigration Jihad. The aim of radical Muslims is to invade and conquer Western lands through mass migration.

“Muhammad told his followers to migrate and spread Islam in order to dominate all the lands of the world,” Ann Corcoran, the author of “Refugee Resettlement and the Hijra to America,” said in an interview with IBD. “He said they were obliged to do so — and that’s exactly what they are doing now with the help and support of the U.N.”

The Boston Marathon terrorist bombings should have taught Americans the folly of welcoming “refugees” from Muslim hotspots. The Tsarnaevs were from Chechnya. They were allegedly “screened” and “vetted.” Yet, this did not stop them from blowing up pressure cooker bombs at the finish line, murdering four innocent civilians and wounding over 260 — dozens of them maimed and crippled. Their massacre was part of a larger war against the West to establish a global Islamic caliphate.

We are about to drink from a poisoned chalice. Obama is deliberately — and dangerously — bringing in an army of Muslim migrants. Like the Tsarnaevs and in France, some of them are bound to be Islamist butchers. It is collective suicide masquerading as compassion. Americans must block his Trojan horse before it’s too late.

EXPOSED: OBAMA’S LOVE FOR JIHADI MUSLIMSAND HATE FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS

On full display before an apathetic America.

Obama recently lashed out against the idea of giving preference to Christian refugees, describing it as “shameful”: “That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion,” loftily added the American president.

Accordingly, the administration is still determined to accept 10,000 more Syrian refugees, almost all of whom will be Muslim, despite the fact that some are ISIS operatives, while many share the ISIS worldview (as explained below).

Yet right as Obama was grandstanding about “who we are,” statistics were released indicating that “the current [refugee] system overwhelmingly favors Muslim refugees. Of the 2,184 Syrian refugees admitted to the United States so far, only 53 are Christians while 2,098 are Muslim.”

Aside from the obvious—or to use Obama’s own word, “shameful”—pro-Muslim, anti-Christian bias evident in these statistics, there are a number of other troubling factors as well.

For starters, the overwhelming majority of “refugees” being brought into the United States are not just Muslim, but Sunnis—the one Muslim sect that the Islamic State is not persecuting and displacing. After all, ISIS—and most Islamic terrorist groups (Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, Al Shabaab, Hamas, et al)—are all Sunnis. Even Obama was arguably raised a Sunni.

In this context, how are Sunnis “refugees”? Who are they fleeing? Considering that the Obama administration defines refugees as people “persecuted by their government,” most of those coming into the U.S. either aided or at least sympathized with the jihad against Assad (even if they only revealed their true colors when the time was right).

Simply put, some 98% of all refugees belong to the same Islamic sect that ISIS does. And many of them, unsurprisingly, share the same vision—such as the “refugees” who recently murdered some 120 people in France, or the “refugees” who persecute Christian minorities in European camps and settlements. (None of this should be surprising considering that Al Azhar—the Sunni world’s most prestigious university of Islamic law, which co-hosted Obama’s 2009 “A New Beginning” speech—was recently exposed as teaching and legitimizing all the atrocities that ISIS commits.)

As for those who are being raped, slaughtered, and enslaved based on their non-Sunni religious identity—not by Assad, but by so-called “rebel” forces (AKA jihadis)—many of them are being denied refuge in America.

Thus, although Christians were approximately 10 percent of Syria’s population in 2011, only one percent has been granted refuge in America. This despite the fact that, from a strictly humanitarian point of view—and humanitarianism is the chief reason being cited in accepting refugees, Obama’s “compassion”—Christians should receive priority simply because they are the most persecuted group in the Middle East.

At the hands of the Islamic State, which supposedly precipitated the migrant crisis, Christians have been repeatedly forced to renounce Christ or die; they have been enslaved and raped; and they have had more than 400 of their churches desecrated and destroyed.[i]

ISIS has committed no such atrocities against fellow Sunnis, they who are being accepted into the U.S. in droves. Nor does Assad enslave, behead, or crucify people based on their religious identity (despite Jeb Bush’s recent, and absurd, assertions).

Obama should further prioritize Christian refugees simply because his own policies in the Middle East have directly exacerbated their plight. Christians and other religions minorities did not flee from Bashar Assad’s Syria, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, or Muamar Gaddafi’s Libya. Their systematic persecution began only after the U.S. interfered in those nations in the name of “democracy” but succeeding in only uncorking the jihadi terrorists that the dictators had long kept suppressed.

Incidentally, prioritizing Christian refugees would not merely be an altruistic gesture or the U.S. government’s way of righting its wrongs: rather it brings many benefits to America’s security. (Unlike Muslims or even Yazidis, Christians are easily assimilated into Western nations due to the shared Christian heritage, and they bring trustworthy language and cultural skills that are beneficial to the “war on terror.”)

Finally, no one should be shocked by these recent revelations of the Obama administration’s pro-Muslim and anti-Christian policies. They fit a clear and established pattern of religious bias within his administration. For example:

• When inviting scores of Muslim representatives, the State Department is in the habit of denying visas to solitary Christian representatives.
• When a few persecuted Iraqi Christians crossed the border into the U.S., they were thrown in prison for several months and then sent back to the lion’s den to be enslaved, raped, or murdered.
• When the Nigerian government waged a strong offensive against Boko Haram, killing some of its terrorists, Secretary of State John Kerry fumed and called for the “human rights” of the jihadis (who regularly slaughter and rape Christians and burn their churches). More recently, Kerry “urged Tajikistan not to go overboard in its crackdown on Islam.”
• When persecuted Coptic Christians planned on joining Egypt’s anti-Muslim Brotherhood revolution of 2013, the U.S. said no.
• When persecuted Iraqi and Syrian Christians asked for arms to join the opposition fighting ISIS, D.C. refused.
• When the UN Security Council held a meeting to discuss the genocide against Christians and other minorities, although “many high level delegations from UN member states addressed the Security Council meeting, some at the Foreign Minister level, the United States failed to send … a high ranking member of the State Department.”

Most recently, as the White House works on releasing a statement accusing ISIS of committing genocide against religious minorities such as Yazidis — who are named and recognized in the statement — Obama officials are arguing that Christians “do not appear to meet the high bar set out in the genocide treaty” and thus likely not be mentioned.

In short, and to use the president’s own words, it is the Obama administration’s own foreign and domestic policies that are “shameful,” that are “not American,” and that do not represent “who we are.”

Yet the question remains: Will Americans take notice and do anything about their leader’s policies—which welcome Islamic jihadis while ignoring their victims—or will their indifference continue until they too become victims of the jihad, in a repeat of Paris or worse?

In a wide-ranging conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marilynne Robinson, President Obama suggested that Christians who take their religion the most seriously often adopt an “us versus them” mentality.

In the interview, published in the Nov. 5 issue of The New York Review of Books, the president lamented “the fact that here in the United States, sometimes Christian interpretation seems to posit an ‘us versus them,’ and those are sometimes the loudest voices.

“But sometimes I think you also get frustrated with kind of the wishy-washy, more liberal versions where anything goes,” Mr. Obama said, referring to Ms. Robinson. “How do you reconcile the idea of faith being really important to you and you caring a lot about taking faith seriously with the fact that, at least in our democracy and our civic discourse, it seems as if folks who take religion the most seriously sometimes are also those who are suspicious of those not like them?”

The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander Christians

Like many, I was also very much surprised to hear what President Obama this week said at National Prayer Breakfast. For a minute, I thought, “he probably shared their hookah/shisha with the Saudis” last week. On the other hand, his latest busy schedule was filled with the spirit of Ishmael. First, Mr. Obama went to India to lecture the largest democracy in the world, India, on democracy and religious freedom. He cut short his India visit to fly in many of Washington’s top power brokers to pay their respects to the Saudi royal that funded the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Days later, Mr. President held a private meeting with 14 Muslim leaders at the White House.

A day later, at the annual National Prayer Breakfast, Mr. Obama bombasted Christians by invoking their misbehavior from the Middle Ages – at a time when innocent Christians are being beheaded, burned alive and even crucified for their faith all over the world. It’s crazy! Christians are being slaughtered, because secular atheist powers alongside their Muslim ‘useful idiots’ wage wars in the NAME OF DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM & ISLAM. President Obama is unwilling to name the obvious cause of the ongoing genocide, may be, because he wants to protect his own religion, the glory of the State, above all others.

Mr. Obama never says, “atrocities in the name of Democracy, Evolution, Islam, or Mohamed” – rather, quick to link the word ‘atrocity’ to Christianity or Christ. Notice the chronological order: Before President Obama decided to go and insult Christians at their own prayer breakfast service, he visited Babylon Saudi Arabia and later, joined groups of the Muslim brotherhood in Washington D.C to show them his solidarity. The world upside down!

It’s learned that the foreign minister of Sudan was present at the National Prayer Breakfast – an event sponsored by the Fellowship Foundation, a Christian-based organization. Originally, the remembrance of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide was one of the themes of this year’s prayer breakfast. But, not a single world about it. The massacred Armenians share a common enemy with the marginalized Darfurian and Christian Sudanese. Inviting officials of what is arguably the world’s most genocidal regime to the National Prayer Breakfast is an insult to the victims of that genocide as well as to the millions of victims of religious, racial, and ethnic genocide in Sudan and South Sudan.

Last year, secretary of State John Kerry, stopping in Addis Abeba, to visit with U.S. Embassy staff, implied that religious tenets (Christianity) created more than 2000 years ago were inappropriate for modern society. An indirect insult to the 2000-year-old Christian nation of Ethiopia. Mind boggling, isn’t it? They insult Christians during their own breakfast prayers, and they go to an African Christian country as guests to treat Christians with contempt, to mock.

This is war against Christians and Christianity. But, we must be sure they will all be judged soon. The future must not belong to those who would slander Christianity by endlessly harping on the Crusades
