Never in my life have so many people attempted to crush my voice. Family members urge me to stay silent. Trolls are trying to discredit me by digging up old photos & pointing at my disability. They inspired me to make this video. I read their messages in braille and share my response.

Over the past few months, thousands of people have been killed in Tigray, a state in Ethiopia. The war has displaced about a million people. NPR summarizes the war here: https://www.npr.org/2021/03/05/973624…

I’m not Tigrayan, but my heart is big enough to care for all the different ethnic groups of Ethiopia, Eritrea, and beyond. It’s not a Tigray crisis, it’s a humanitarian crisis.

❖ Haben, my sister, you’re an angel!

Everytime we see evil roaming around our life and we keep quiet, we’ve made the biggest mistake of our life. Please don’t keep quiet, my sister, it’s time you Pray with anger and fire. We’re lucky to have you around, dear Haben – and we love you!

ተዓምር | መብረቅ የቀሰቀሰው እሳት ቤተክርስቲያኑን ሲያቃጥል የተረፈው የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስዕል ብቻ ነው

A seven-alarm hellish fire has destroyed a historic 150-year-old church in Massachusetts – but a massive painting of Jesus Christ miraculously survived the blaze.

First Baptist Church in Wakefield, Massachusetts has been a landmark in the Boston area for over 100 years but its interior and roof was reduced to ash after the church was reportedly struck by a lightening bolt and a furious fire broke out on Tuesday evening.

But by some stroke of luck, the human-sized painting of Jesus that once hung at the front entrance of the church was recovered practically unscathed, according to Boston25.

The fire completely destroyed the 150-year-old church, burning down its spire and roof. For parishioners the recovered painting is a sign of hope for their community.

According to witnesses, a lightning bolt struck the steeple of the church, which was built in 1872, around 7pm as powerful thunderstorms rolled through the greater Boston area.

The strike ignited the fire that quickly spread throughout the church structure.

Officials have not announced a cause of the fire yet.

The vicious inferno devastated the church, but parishioners found comfort in the fact that the Jesus Christ painting somehow survived the blaze.

‘It’s a beautiful sign and a reminder that Jesus is with us,’ parishioner Maria Kakolowski said.

‘I’m personally just taking as a sign and a reminder that the Jesus Christ we serve is still alive and even though our church building is gone, our church is here and the God that we serve is still here,’ she added.

The portrait will be gifted for a former pastor at the church.

A team of more than 100 firefighters toiled for hours to quell the sudden inferno, some sustaining minor injuries.

‘I was down about a mile away and I just saw this fireball in the sky. It just went up like a tinderbox. It’s a building built in 1870 and and it’s balloon-style so once the fire starts you know the whole building just went up quickly,’ the church’s pastor Reverend Doctor Norm Bendroth said.

When the fire was finally extinguished much of its exterior was still standing but its steeple and roof was completely burned down to its skeletal wooden frame.

A meeting was taking place in the church at the time of the fire but everyone was evacuated by the time the flames gained momentum.

No one was harmed in the blaze and the church will be torn down. Talks are in place to see if they will rebuild the structure.

The fire cost about $1million in damages, according to the Boston Globe.

‘When the windows were all aglow — every stained glass window was aglow — it looked like you were looking into hell. It was just an awful, awful sight,’ former parishioner Susan Auld said.

The church released a statement following the fire:

‘While we lost our historic building from a lightning strike this week, we praise Jesus that our church community was kept safe. A very big thank you to the many firefighters who did their jobs with excellence, and to the outpouring of support from the community,’ the statement said.

‘We know that we serve a God who specializes in restoring brokenness and who can bring beauty even from ashes. So we move into the future with trust, hope, and gratitude,’ the statement continued.

Parishioners gathered at the church site on Wednesday to see crews clear the wreckage. The remains of the spire were dismantled as was the Tall Spire Nursery School which was housed inside.

People on the scene took comfort in seeing that the painting of Jesus, standing in a white robe with his hands extended, was successfully recovered.

Unconfirmed Reports of Myrrh-Streaming Bust of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on March 8, 2017

Is this some coincidence or what!? The day before yesterday I blogged this story on Tsar Nicholas II’s gift to the Ethiopian Orthodox church dedicated to the beloved martyr St. George, and now the following two amazing stories pop up today.

When Tsar Nicholas gave the beautiful bell to the Ethiopian church he probably felt then that he will soon be martyred. For whom tolls the bell? It tolls, indeed, for thee! By the way, the mysterious Myrrh, like Frankincense, has its origin in Ethiopia.

As reported yesterday, eyewitnesses have claimed to see myrrh streaming from several icons and a bust of Tsar Nicholas II at the Holy Royal Martyrs chapel in Simferopol. Representatives of the Simferopol and Crimean Diocese have investigated the icons in the chapel and the bust standing outside, but found no traces of the miraculous occurrence. However, as RIA-Novosti reports, they have called on the local priest to continue monitoring the situation.

Earlier Deputy of the State Duma of Russia and former Prosecutor General of the Republic of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya spoke about the myrrh-streaming bust of the Holy Royal Martyr Nicholas II in Simferopol. Her words have evoked a mixed reaction in social networks.

Miraculous myrrh streaming is typically associated with icons and the relics of saints in Orthodoxy, manifesting the grace of God present in the sacred objects, and is often used for healing.

A study of the situation connected with the statement of the State Duma Deputy about the possibility of the myrrh-streaming bust of the Tsar-Passion Bearer Nicholas II, situated near the chapel of the Holy Royal Passion Bearers… and also of several icons inside the chapel itself, was carried out on site by a commission… At the time of the visit to the chapel… traches of myrrh on the bronze bust of the Tsar-Passion Bearer Nicholas and on the icons in the chapel were not found,” reads a message of the diocesan press service.

However, to come to a final conclusion, the commission has tasked the local priest with continuing to observe the icons and bust, and to report any signs of myrrh to the bishop and commission immediately.

Statue Of Jesus Only Thing Left Standing In House Burned By Tennessee Wildfire

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on December 1, 2016

fire-statute-jesus-exlarge-169

The pictures coming out of the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, wildfires are just devastating. Acres of woodland blackened. Row upon row of homes and businesses reduced to ashes.

But a TV crew with CNN affiliate WVLT spotted something of a miracle amid all that destruction. On Wednesday, reporter Kelsey Leyrer and her team captured footage of what they saw at a house out in Sevier County. It was a statue of Jesus — covered with soot and ashes, but still standing. It was the only thing left after the home burned to the ground.

The Jesus statue was the second religious item this week that survived the wildfires. Earlier this week Isaac McCord, an employee at the Dollywood theme park, says he found a partially burned page from the Bible’s book of Joel. The part of the passage that’s readable, from Joel’s first chapter reads, “O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.”

McCord immediately took a picture of what he’d found and posted it to Facebook, where it’s been shared tens of thousands of times. Many commenters took it as a sign from God.

It provides hope and faith,” McCord said. “That’s why I shared it.”

At least seven people have lost their lives in the wildfires that have ravaged Sevier County and Gatlinburg this week.

Dollywood Employee Finds Burned Bible Page After Wildfires

joel1The day after wildfires tore through Gatlinburg,Tenn., destroying more than 150 structures, killing at least three people and displacing thousands, Isaac McCord was doing his part to help out, picking up debris from the Dollywood park grounds.

Gripping his rake, he revisited a spot in Craftsman Valley he had skimmed over after his co-worker, Misty Carver, quipped, “Is that how you clean your room?” Provoked, he said he had started “really getting in the nooks and crannies” under a park bench when he caught a glimpse of a piece of paper lying in a puddle of water — soggy, seared and torn in two.

McCord, a University of Tennessee alumnus who now works as a human resources training coordinator at Dollywood, said he had no idea what the paper would read, but considering the circumstances, he was curious enough to pick it up.

“As soon as I got down on the ground, I noticed it was a Bible verse, and I was like holy crap,” McCord said in a phone interview on Tuesday night. “It was in a puddle of water. I said, ‘I want to take care of this the best way I can,’ so I gently scooped it up and carried it out the best I could.”

McCord, 24, sat on the bench where he found the paper, and called Carver over. Their work partners, Dollywood wardrobe manager Angela Davis and employee Kimberly Moore, had left to go to the restroom, McCord said.

In silence, the pair pored over the page, the edges of which were burned black, rendering many words illegible. But parts of the right side of the page were preserved enough to get the message across: it perfectly reflected, McCord said, the tragic natural disaster that had thrust Gatlinburg and Sevier County into the national spotlight the night before.

“O Lord, to thee will I cry: For the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field,” the page reads, according to a picture of the page posted on McCord’s Facebook.

At first, we didn’t know what part of the book it was from,” McCord said on Tuesday night, “but we saw bits and pieces about fire and scorching the land, and how the beast groaned and roared for help.”

The page appears to be from the first chapter of Joel from the King James version of the Bible.

“We were like this is unreal, this is unbelievable,” McCord said. “When we had both fully read it, we looked at each other — and I will never forget this moment — we both burst into tears. I was ghost white, and we just prayed. There was nothing else to do.. Still to this moment, almost four hours after the fact, I don’t have words for it.”

McCord wasn’t a highly religious man prior to his discovery — he didn’t go to church every Sunday or read the Bible often — but he said he has a relationship with God that shapes his morals and how he treats other people. He was impacted by the discovery because he said he knows several co-workers who lost their homes in the chaotic blaze. He intends to frame the Bible page, and now, he said he may re-examine the role religion plays in his life.

McCord said he knows people may doubt the truthfulness of his story. He emphasized he is not an official spokesman for Dollywood, and he does not speak on behalf of the park or its employees. He just wanted to share the story to give people hope.

“I wanted to share this message because it brought me to tears. I wanted to share this message because I think that faith and hope is very powerful in a situation like this. There are hundreds of people that are displaced and that have lost their homes. Most of these people will cling to faith. By no means was I trying to get social recognition. … I would say to anyone who wants to call it fake, call me. Please call me. It is something that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

My Note: A Statue of Jesus similar to the one seen in the above image was revealed in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, September 26, 2016 during the Feast of the Holy Cross Bonfire – at annual Demera (Meskel) Celebration. Watch the testimony on the videos: Our Lord is everywhere for those who have eyes to see. This is amazing, I’ve got holy tears in my eyes when I saw that image, very heartwarming. Thank You Lord!

And…poor guy on the next video, but Our Lord Egziahbher is The Lion of Judah — Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help!

9-Year-Old Falls Down Tree, Meets Jesus, And Recovers From Rare Childhood Illness

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on April 14, 2015

pa-real-lifeAsked what Jesus looked like, Annabel said: ‘He had a beautiful long white robe, dark skin and a big beard – kinda like Santa Claus, but not really.

A nine-year-old who fell 30ft inside a hollow tree claims she ‘went to heaven and sat in Jesus’ lap,’ while unconscious.

Christy Wilson Beam, 42, says she was amazed that her daughter Annabel, now 12, escaped the horrific fall completely unscathed – and even woke up ‘miraculously cured’ of a chronic childhood illness.

In December 2011, Annabel was playing with her sisters Abigail, now 14 and Adelynn, now 10, near her house in Texas when she slipped and fell inside a hollowed-out cottonwood tree.

She hit her head three times and was knocked unconscious.

Alerted by the family, a fire crew managed to harness Annabel to safety and she was rushed to Cook Children’s Hospital in Forth Worth by helicopter.

Fearing the worst, medics prepped brain and spinal injury teams to stand by for Annabel’s arrival – but, incredibly, she survived without a scratch.

Even more incredible were the stories Annabel began to share in the days afterwards.

She told her parents: ‘I went to heaven when I was in that tree. I sat in Jesus’ lap.’

Mum Christy claims she wasn’t playing around. ‘This wasn’t like one of her long, spun-out recaps of a funny dream or movie she’d seen,’ she says.

Annabel also told her parents that the gates of heaven are made of gold and that Jesus had said to her it wasn’t her time.

Christy was initially concerned that Annabel was suffering from a head injury, but MRI and CT scans revealed she hadn’t sustained one.

Further tests also showed Annabel was no longer displaying symptoms of pseudo-obstruction motility disorder, a rare incurable condition that had seen her in and out of hospital since 2008.

The disorder meant she had to have a liquid diet, or only eat plain, soft foods. She also took ten different types of medication each day.

But, doctors have cut that down to three per day, while Annabel can now eat McDonald’s and pizza if she fancies.

Annabel’s dad can’t help but put it down to what happened in the tree. ‘I can’t explain what happened to her physically while she was in that tree,’ said Mr Beam, who’s a vet.

All I have to go on is the radiological data and the medical records from before and after. The proof is in the pudding. She wasn’t well before and now she is,’ he added.

Asked what Jesus looked like, Annabel said: ‘He had a beautiful long white robe, dark skin and a big beard – kinda like Santa Claus, but not really.’

Oil-Streaked Icon Miracle – St. George

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on June 12, 2009

STGiorgisAt the Israeli town of Ramla, Christians have been flocking to see what locals are calling a miracle: streaks of what looks like oil mysteriously dripping down an icon of St. George at a Greek Orthodox church named for the legendary third century dragon slayer.

The most famous Church in the world of St. George is located at Lalibela, Ethiopia , which was built about 1200 AD.

St. George is one of the 11 rock-hewn monolithic churches which imitates a built- up structure but is cut in one piece from the rock and separated from it all round by a trench. Nowhere else in the world are constructions of this particular kind found.

Lalibela, previously known as Roha, is named after the king. The word itself, which translates to mean the bees, recognizes his sovereignty and the people of the region still recount the legend that explains why.

Lalibela was born in Roha in the second half of the twelfth century, the youngest son of the royal line of the Zagwe dynasty, which then ruled over much of northern Ethiopia. Despite several elder brothers he was destined for greatness from his earliest days. Not long after his birth, his mother found a swarm of bees around his crib and recalled an old belief that the animal world foretold important futures. She cried out: -The bees know that this child will become king.

But trials and tribulations followed. The ruling king feared for his throne and tried to have Lalibela murdered and persecutions continued for several years – culminating in a deadly potion that left the young prince in mortal sleep. During the three-day stupor, Lalibela was transported by angels to the first, second and third heavens where God told him not to worry but to return to Roha and build churches – the like of which the world had never seen before. God also told Lalibela how to design the churches, where to build them and how to decorate them.

Once he was crowned, he gathered masons, carpenters, tools, set down a scale of wages and purchased the land needed for the building. The churches are said to have been built with great speed because angels continued the work at night.

It’s quite interesting that the Lalibela legend describes him entering the heavens and then getting a commission by God, when in fact the same was true of Enoch in his legend. The stories differ but they both have fantastic details. Many of the church fathers made sure the ‘Book of Enoch’ was destroyed, but the civilization in Ethiopia made sure to preserve the text.

There are also numerous legends, myths, stories related to the construction of the 11 temple complex’s in Lalibela, including the Bet Giorgis (Church of St. George):

  • They were built by St. George with the help of angels.

  • St. Geroge “appeared” to King Lalibela and asked the king to provide him a “perfect” home.

  • King Lalbela was instructed by God to build churches for which the world had never seen. God instructed Lalibela where to build them. The King was said to have carved out one meter a day, during the day, and angels, along with St. Gabriel, carved out three meters at night.

This is a topside view of the rock-hewn Church of St. George at Lilabela Ethiopia. You can clearly see the Ethiopian style Cross.

TombDarius

This cross is exactly the same as the cross found on the ceramic piece at Susa, Assyria. Susa, in present day Iran, is thought to be one of the oldest cities in the world. The Tomb of Daniel, The Prophet was found here. The Susa Stratum was dated around 3200 B.C. The ceramic disc contains the famous Ethiopian/Greek Cross surrounded by three triple triangles surrounded by triple combs. This dual cross symbol has also been found in caves near Cuba (The Isle of Youth) to where, thousands of Ethiopian orphaned-children were sent during the 1980s.

400px-Chalcatzingo_Monument_1_El_Rey.svg

Another early- preclassic Olmec bas-relief found at Chalcatzingo, south of Puebla, Mexico, which is named “El Rey”, may have been founded around 1500 B.C. At the top of the image are three comb-like clouds with feet prints headed for them. The third element of similarity seems to be the fire cross seated on top of the cave. The fire depicts a bright illumination such as would a multiple cross symbol.

Were these civilizations in contact with each other in ancient times or was there one civilization ruling over all three?

Could King Lalibela be the returned Enoch, the first man to have never died, but went to heaven?

Some people speculate about the similarity between the Mayan and Enoch Calendars. Ethiopians still have a calendar system which was designed by The first ever Prophet, Enoch.
