Rush Limbaugh ‘livid’ Over ‘the Scandal Of All Scandals’
‘This thing is just a totally made-up piece of cr-p’
It’s the biggest scandal to hit Washington in years, and it may be “the scandal of all scandals,” according to radio powerhouse Rush Limbaugh.
“I am so outraged, livid, angry about this. I’m doing my best to contain it,” Limbaugh said Wednesday on his national broadcast.
The scandal enraging the self-proclaimed doctor of democracy is the revelation that the campaign of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee paid to create a fake Russian dossier about Donald Trump, the result of which has been months of allegations about collusion with Russia to sway the 2016 presidential election to Trump.
There was no dossier!” Limbaugh exclaimed. “It’s nothing more than made-up drivel bought and paid for as opposition research by Hillary Clinton and her campaign and the Democrat National Committee. They treated it as genuine and legitimate intelligence. Did they secure FISA warrants to tap and investigate people on the basis of this opposition research? They tried to pass opposition research off as legitimate intelligence. I cannot emphasize that enough. For over a year, people have been told that the contents of this dossier – which contains the story of the golden showers.
This is where Trump found himself in Moscow and was told that he and Melania were staying in the same hotel suite that Barack and Michelle Obama had stayed in, and so the dossier – among other things – claims that Trump called some prostitutes over and had ’em urinate on the bed. This dossier also said that one of Trump’s lawyers had had a secret meeting with Russians – in the Czech Republic, I believe. And it was later learned that this guy has never been in the Czech Republic!”
Limbaugh summarized the dossier itself by noting: “This thing is just a totally made-up piece of cr-p.”
“All of this is B.S. It is literally toxic B.S. John Brennan, the director of the CIA, said it was the basis of the CIA’s investigation into whether Trump colluded with Russia, for which there still is no evidence, for which there will not be any evidence because of: It didn’t happen!”
Limbaugh called out not only Mrs. Clinton and Brennan by name, but also top officials including James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence and U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who has pushed to probe Trump’s supposed collusion with Moscow.
“They are vicious partisans,” Limbaugh said. “They feel so entitled to power that they feel freely capable and entitled to actually ruining people in the pursuit of their power. They are so entitled to it that they think it’s nothing to literally lie and destroy and ruin people in order to get what they believe they are entitled to.
“The president of the United States is involved. Barack Hussein Obama. It was his CIA director; it was his administration treating opposition research – bought-and-paid-for opposition research – as legitimate intelligence. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the FBI directors. That would be Robert Mueller and James Comey. A special counsel. That would be Mueller. A Democrat nominee for president and her husband, the Clintons – a former president – are all involved in this. And one of those former FBI directors is investigating who? Donald Trump?
“I’m sorry, folks. I can’t take it, and it’s not because I’m offended at what they did to Trump. I’m offended at how they lie to me. I’m offended how they lie to you. I’m offended at the very actions they have taken here: Corrupting, corrupting the CIA, corrupting the office of national intelligence, corrupting everything they touch in pursuit of their own power while lying to everybody about somebody else: Donald Trump and his family and people he worked with. Look at the people whose lives have already been damaged by this! Michael Flynn. Jeff Sessions.”
Limbaugh continued: “People have had their homes raided predawn by SWAT teams over a fake opposition research document prepared by Hillary Clinton, the Democrat Party and the Democrat National Committee that we were told was legitimate intelligence. There are a lot of people on our side who believed a grain of it could have been true! I have also been stunned – and I mean stunned – to learn during the course of all this that there are some people who voted for Trump, who are eagerly still pro-Trump on our side, who thought there might have been something to this.”
Limbaugh also lamented the lack of mainstream-media coverage about the new information.
“This is one of the biggest bombshell revelations in my memory. Let me ask you a question: If the news had broken that Donald Trump had hired someone to forge a Barack Hussein Obama birth certificate showing him born in Kenya after a year of claiming something other than that, do you think you’d know about it? Do you think the cable networks, the news networks would be talking about it? Do you think it’d be front page of the New York Times if that kind of slanderous, fake, phony stuff had been presented as intelligence, learned and used by the CIA? Damn well it would!”
But the radio voice thinks it won’t be too long before powerful leftists and the media work to remove the Clintons from the public arena.
“I honestly think Bill and Hillary will get the Harvey Weinstein treatment before too long,” Limbaugh said.
“This Trump-Russia collusion has been 99 percent of the effort to get rid of Trump, and they have just effectively admitted that the whole thing was a hoax, that for a year they’ve been pursing things that didn’t happen. They obviously want to get rid of her very badly.”

Genesis, Creation, and Ancient Interpreters: Cain Caused the Flood
Cain’s murder of Abel came to be seen by early interpreters not simply as an isolated act of sin, but as representative of something bigger. Cain did not simply do something wicked, but his wicked act showed a much deeper problem, that he is wicked. This way of reading the story of Cain was taken in various directions by early interpreters. One of those ways was to make Cain the cause of the flood.
Genesis 6:1-4 gives the reason—more accurately, we seem to be given two reasons—for why God inflicted such a cataclysmic punishment on all flesh. Cain is not mentioned.
One reason is the “giants” (Hebrew nephilim) mentioned in v. 4, though we are not told here explicitly what about these figures warranted God’s punishment—although the references to the “sons of God” cohabiting with the “daughters of man” seems to be relevant. It seems that divine beings were cohabiting with human women, and possibly the “giants” were their offspring.
In antiquity, a good number of interpreters seized on this episode to explain why God brought the flood (e.g., 3 Maccabees 2:4; Ecclesiasticus 16:7; Jubilees 5:1-11). Such “cross-breeding” wholly violated the order God had established at creation (Genesis 1), and so played a major role in God’s decision to flood the earth.
Genesis 6:5, however, seems to come at it from a different angle. The blame rests not just with the sons of God or the giants, but with humanity at large. Humans had become thoroughly wicked, with a disposition only toward doing wicked acts.
But this explanation passed by rather quickly for early interpreters—one verse—so they sought to anchor God’s punishment in something more concrete. One of those anchors was Cain’s murder of Abel.
Cain was a “logical” candidate of sorts because his act was the only truly wicked act recorded in the chapters preceding the flood story. Cain’s murder of Abel, therefore, was understood not just an isolated wicked act, but a crucial factor in God’s decision to destroy the world in a deluge. One clear example is from the apocryphal book Wisdom of Solomon 10:3-4:
When an unrighteous man [Cain] departed from her [from following Wisdom] in his anger, he perished because in rage he slew his brother. When the earth was floodedbecause of him, Wisdom again saved it, steering the righteous man [Noah] by a paltry piece of wood.
Two things are worth noting here. First, this author sees a causal link between Cain’s act of murder (first sentence) and the flood. Second, note that putting the blame on Cain is not defended or explained, but tucked away in that small phrase “because of him.” This casual allusion to Cain as the cause of the flood indicates that the explanation needed no elaboration because it was already well know at the time in which this author wrote (early in the first century A.D.). By the time this author gave his account of the flood, Cain’s role in instigating God’s wrath was already a commonly accepted explanation.

Europe sizzled in a continent-wide heatwave on Wednesday, with London bracing for Britain’s hottest June day since 1976 as Portugal battled to stamp out deadly forest fires.
More than 1,000 firefighters were still fighting to control the flames that broke out in central Portugal at the weekend, killing 64 people.
Cooler weather was aiding their efforts, but thermometers were still hovering around 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) — a level matched across oven-like swathes of Europe, including Italy, Austria, the Netherlands and even alpine Switzerland.
Two forest fires have also broken out since Sunday on Croatia’s southern Adriatic coast, prompting the authorities to evacuate 800 tourists, though the blazes have now been brought under control.
“We were scared, it’s true,” a Swedish tourist who gave her name only as Karolina told local media. “From the hotel room window it seemed like the fire was at our doors.”
As the northern hemisphere marked the summer solstice, firefighters were on alert in Austria, where revellers were due to celebrate the longest day of the year by lighting bonfires for the festival of Saint John.
In Italy, forecasters say the current heatwave could turn out to be the most intense in 15 years, with temperatures around eight degrees above the seasonal average — 39 degrees Celsius in Milan and up to 30 in the Alps at an altitude of 1,000 metres (3,300 feet).
A study released Monday warned that deadly heatwaves will become more and more common around the world even if the rise in temperatures is capped at 2.0 degrees Celsius as targeted by the Paris Agreement to combat climate change.
“Even if we outperform the Paris targets, the population exposed to deadly heat will be about 50 percent by 2100,” Camilo Mora, lead author of the study published in the journal Nature Climate Change, told AFP.

A peak in pollution linked to the heat prompted police in the Paris region to reduce speed limits in some areas and divert heavy goods trucks, with the most polluting vehicles banned from the capital on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the body of a 31-year-old man was pulled out of the Loire river in the central city of Tours after he got dragged down by the current while trying to cool down.
In Russia, Siberia was also suffering a heatwave, with temperatures of up to 37 Celsius in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Channel One television reported.
But at the other extreme, it was just one degree Celsius and snowing in Murmansk in northern Russia, the RIA Novosti news agency reported. Many residents are having to get by with no heating in their flats as centralised systems have been switched off for the summer.
