Antichrist Nation of Turkey Redesignating The Iconic Orthodox Church Hagia Sophia as Mosque

Mind you, the city of Istanbul (Constantinople) has over 3000 Mosques.

The government of Turkey issued a statement Wednesday saying Ankara was “shocked” at a statement from U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urging Islamist President Recep Tayyip Erdogan not to turn the Hagia Sophia into a mosque.

Built in the year 513, the Hagia Sophia is one of the world’s oldest Christian constructions, one of the most important cathedrals in the Greek Orthodox world before Muslim invaders conquered Istanbul and turned it into a mosque. Following the establishment of the Republic of Turkey under secular leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Hagia Sophia was converted into a museum, neutral territory for both religions.

Erdogan has spent much of his tenure attempting to Islamicize the Hagia Sophia, allowing a call to prayer in 2016 for the first time in 85 years and personally reading Quranic verse in the building. Turkish courts are currently evaluating the official conversion of the cathedral into a mosque and will issue a verdict within the next two weeks, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Thursday.

The issue of converting the former cathedral reportedly resurfaced in response to the reading of the Quran within the Hagia Sophia in late May to observe the anniversary of its seizure and the conversion of Constantinople into Istanbul.

Pompeo issued a statement Wednesday regarding the court proceedings, encouraging relevant government officials to maintain the Hagia Sophia as a museum.

“The Government of Turkey has administered the Hagia Sophia as a museum – officially recognized by UNESCO as part of the Historic Areas of Istanbul World Heritage Site – in an outstanding manner for nearly a century,” Pompeo said. “We urge the Government of Turkey to continue to maintain the Hagia Sophia as a museum, as an exemplar of its commitment to respect the faith traditions and diverse history that contributed to the Republic of Turkey, and to ensure it remains accessible to all.”

“The United States views a change in the status of the Hagia Sophia as diminishing the legacy of this remarkable building and its unsurpassed ability — so rare in the modern world — to serve humanity as a much-needed bridge between those of differing faith traditions and cultures,” Pompeo asserted.

Hami Aksoy, a spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry, responded with outrage, insisting that the Hagia Sophia, taken from the Greeks who built it in the 1400s, “is the property of Turkey, like all our cultural assets” and its administration “our internal affair as part of Turkey’s sovereign rights.”

“We are shocked at the statement made by the US State Department on Hagia Sophia,” Aksoy said. “Naturally everyone is free to express their own opinion. However, it is not for anyone to talk about our sovereign rights in the style of ‘we urge, we demand.’”

Anticipating outrage from the Christian world, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu similarly insisted last month that the status of the Hagia Sophia was not the business of anyone outside of Turkey.

“Stressing that no one should comment on freedom of religion in Turkey, Cavusoglu said the steps taken in the last 20 years towards various minorities in the country is evident,” Yeni Safak, a rabidly pro-Erdogan newspaper, recounted. “Turkey’s top diplomat also slammed the U.S. over recently published 2019 Report on International Religious Freedom and said it is ‘tragicomical’ for the U.S. to comment on freedom of religion and human rights.”

That report, published in June, revealed that Turkey’s religious minorities felt persecuted, both by radical Muslims and by the government.

“Religious minorities again reported difficulties opening or operating houses of worship; resolving land and property disputes and legal challenges of churches whose lands the government previously expropriated; operating or opening houses of worship; and obtaining exemptions from mandatory religion classes in schools,” the report read. In addition to non-Muslim groups, Erdogan’s government has spent years persecuting members of the Hizmet Islamic movement, led by Erdogan rival and Pennsylvania cleric Fethullah Gülen. Erdogan blames Gülen, without providing evidence that the U.S. has found convincing enough for extradition, for the failed coup against him in 2016.

The report also noted Erdogan’s years-long campaign to convert the Hagia Sophia into a mosque.

Erdogan allowed a Muslim call to prayer from the cathedral – outfitted with minarets for calls to prayer after the fall of Constantinople – in 2016, a dramatic shift from the previous Atatürk policy. Despite Turkish government prohibiting it, Erdogan has repeatedly criticized Atatürk, the republic’s founder, for his staunch support of secularism and erasure of all religion from public life. Atatürk’s “Young Turks” led the genocide of Armenian, Assyrian, and Greek Christians from Turkey before establishing a secular republic devoid of Islamic influence.

That year, Erdogan also allowed Ramadan prayers to take place in the Hagia Sophia.

By 2018, Erdogan himself was reciting Islamic prayers in the Hagia Sophia – on Easter weekend, the holiest holiday in Christianity.

Last year, Erdogan said in a television interview that he may “revert” the status of the Hagia Sophia from museum to mosque, insisting that tourists would still be able to visit it the same way they are able to visit other Istanbul mosques.

A Somalian asylum seeker has been charged with raping two disabled men in a care home and murdering one of their wives in Germany.

The 18-year-old is said to have broken into the sheltered accommodation in Neuenhaus in the county of Betheim late last year and sneaked into the room of a paralyzed 59-year-old man to rape him.

Police say the migrant then made his way into an adjoining room and raped another man before being confronted by the victim’s 87-year-old wife, who he is accused of killing.

Outrage As Muslim Students ‘Bully Jewish Classmate Out Of Berlin School’

The Central Council of Jews in Germany has described bullying allegations at the Friedenauer Gemeinschaftsschule in Berlin as “anti-Semitism of the ugliest form.”

After a 14-year-old British Jewish boy switched schools in Berlin claiming he had been violently bullied by Muslim classmates, pressure is growing on the government to react.

The teenager’s parents told the Jewish Chroniclein late March that they had taken him out of the Friedenauer Gemeinschaftsschule in Schöneberg and sent him to an international school instead.

The family had picked the school, which has many pupils from Turkey and the Arab world, after they had read that it was a model multicultural high school.

But according to the family, when the teenager’s classmates found out he was Jewish, they became abusive, with one saying “Jews are all murderers”.

The abuse then became violent, with classmates attacking and strangling the teenager. One even pulled a replica gun on him while the other kids laughed, the boy’s mother claimed.

Aaron Eckstaedt, principal of the Moses Mendelssohn Jewish High School in Berlin, told the Jewish Chronicle that six to ten Jewish parents apply to switch their children to his school every year.

The requests are generally “in reaction to anti-Semitic statements coming overwhelmingly from Arabic or Turkish classmates,” he said.

On Monday Josef Schuster the president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany told Tagesspiegel that “if the report is true, it is deeply shocking. This is anti-Semitism of the ugliest form.”

Schuster called on Berlin’s education authorities to carry out an investigation of the case, after the teenager’s parents complained that the school had been slow to react to their repeated calls for intervention.

Muslim communities “must also actively fight anti-Semitism among their ranks. It can’t be accepted that hatred of Jews and Israel can be promoted in German mosques,” said Schuster.

The sensitivity of the case, given Germany’s particular history with anti-Semitism, has meant that politicians on the national level have also called for consequences.

“Teenagers from Arab countries who have been raised to believe that Israel should be destroyed need to learn that we don’t tolerate anti-Semitism in Germany,” said Kerstin Griese, the federal commissioner for religious communities.

“These cases are becoming ever more common, and not only in Berlin,” Levi Salomon, a spokesperson for the Jewish Democracy Forum told Tagesspiegel.

“It is high time the federal government set up a commission for anti-Semitism.”

Eritrean Arabic Translator: Muslim Migrants Secretly Hate Christians, Seek to Outbreed Them

A translator who has lived in Germany since the 1990s has revealed that Muslim migrants believe “Germany should be Islamised”, and loathe their hosts, according to a new report.

Working with asylum seekers in migrant centres, the 39 year old translator says she learnt that Muslims seek to “destroy” Christians, through having more children, and preach hatred towards people of other faiths.

Catholic website Kath.net, which has been looking into reports that Christians are discriminated against in German refugee camps, arranged a meeting with the Eritrean after being contacted by a German politician aware of the Catholic news agency’s work.

Grateful for the “open-minded reception and support” she was given by Germany after arriving as a refugee in 1991, the woman began to volunteer in asylum centres five years ago to “give something back”.

A Christian but presumed to be Muslim by migrants and other staff volunteering and working at the shelters, the translator of Arabic immediately discovered “Christians are oppressed, intimidated and harassed by Muslim refugees. This is normal.”

The woman has worked in several migrant centres and discloses that their security staff and other translators, who are almost all Muslim, are part of the problem.

“They have mostly grown up here, are well-educated and are professionals, and they give a first impression of having a cosmopolitan outlook”, she says.

However this changes as soon as they are “among themselves”, the translator says. When migrant centre staff believe non-Muslims are out of earshot, “they then show their true face and how they want Germany to be Islamised. They despise our country and our values”.

Horrified by what she heard, but curious to learn more, she chose to continue concealing her religion and decided to check out study sessions in nearby mosques.

“Pure hatred against non-believers is preached, and children are brought here from an early age here in Germany. It’s very similar in asylum housing, where Muslim boys refuse to play with Christians”, she informs the Catholic news agency.

Attempts to mediate, where the translator would say “You’re a Muslim, he’s a Christian. What difference does it make?” typically garner responses like “I don’t play with Christians. My parents hate them too”, she reports.

The Eritrean was also shocked by attitudes shown by the migrants when she brings up the topic of contraception methods with the women, who often have several children young.

“Some women told me ‘We will multiply our numbers. We must have more children than the Christians because it’s the only way we can destroy them here”, she recalls.

When the translator objected to this sentiment, and pointed out that it’s Christians who are helping them, she says she was told that defending Christians is a sin.

Since May 743 Christians have been subjected to attacks in Germany’s asylum system, with the vast majority of perpetrators being Muslim according to a report released last month.

416 of the victims reported having been physically assaulted, 44 sexually assaulted and 314 said they have received death threats. In addition, the perpetrators in 205 of the cases were guards at asylum homes — individuals who are paid to protect the migrants in their care.

Christian Children Kicked Out Of School For Refusing To Wear Hijab Or Recite Koran

Schools across Egypt are forcing girls of every religion to wear the Muslim headscarf and children of both sexes are being punished if they cannot quote the Koran off by heart.

Even Muslim girls who refuse to wear a hijab are being forced out of school in a country where Coptic Christians have previously been able to live free of persecution.

Rahman Salem, 12, was ordered to leave her lesson and banned from taking part in any activities at her school in the Delta, northern Egypt.

Other pupils gave her nasty looks and started leaving the Muslim girl out over the incident.

She said: “I was made to stand all alone in the school courtyard.

“The headmistress later came to me and said: ‘Here in school, you put on the headscarf. Outside, you may do as you wish.’

“No girl can show up with her hair showing. They all have to wear the hijab.

“Christian girls have to wear the hijab. As soon as the end-of-day bell rings, they start taking it off.”

Her mother said: “I was told ‘Stop being an idiot! Don’t you want your daughter to be decent?’.

“I was shocked when other mothers stopped me at the gate. ‘What’s that? How can your daughter show up like this?’

“I re-inspected my daughter’s uniform, and incredulously asked what was wrong. ‘Her head and neck have to be strictly covered!’”

Last month another school in the same province of Sharqia put in force rules to make all female students wear a hijab, with the al-Nassiriya School’s headteacher posting a large sign saying Islam dress is now part of the girls’ uniform.

And Christian seven-year-old Viola Samir told how her Islamic religious studies teacher held eight Christian pupils in her class of 35 children back.

The teacher then beat anyone who had not learnt the Koran off by heart.

Usually, Christian students in Egypt move to a different classroom during religious studies classes where they learn about Christianity while Muslims stay and learn about Islam.

Viola’s father told Christian persecution website, World Watch Monitor: “When my daughter told the teacher that the extra texts were not part of the Arabic curriculum [which all students have to learn], she was severely punished by her teacher.

“The Christian religious studies teacher complained to the headmaster, but he took no disciplinary action against the Muslim teacher.

“In the end, the teacher allowed the Christian children to leave the class to join their Christian studies class.”

Another parent in a different school in the same town of Samalout, 155 miles from Cairo, said his 11-year-old son son was caned for not reciting verses from the Koran.

He said: “”Once, the teacher, Mohamed, caned Abanob on the back of his hands, afterwards forcing him to stand with his face to the board and both arms up in the air for the entire length of the lesson.

“My son had failed to repeat the Koranic text by heart when prompted to.”

All the parents said their children now hate going to school and are often absent due to bullying from both teachers and children.

Christian Woman In Final Appeal To Avoid Being Hanged In Pakistan For Speaking To A Muslim

A MOTHER of two will have her final appeal against her death sentence for speaking to a Muslim heard tomorrow by Pakistan’s Supreme Court.

Asia Bibi, 50, has been on death row in Punjab since she was accused of blasphemy for getting into a disagreement with a Muslim woman seven years ago.

The two women were working in a field when the Muslim woman refused water from Mrs Bibi from the well on the grounds it was unclean because it had been handled by a Christian. But Mrs Bibi defended herself, saying Jesus would have had a different view on the situation.

Her lawyer, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, said: “She has not seen the sun or the moon this year.”

Mr Sindhu said despite the death sentence Ms Bibi has resisted multiple attempts to convert to Islam while she has been incarcerated.

She is likely to be hanged within 30 days of the verdict if her last appeal fails.

Mr Sindhu said: “She is very, very strong in her faith. There were so many attempts to convert her but she said ‘No – I will remain faithful to Jesus Christ’ and she has remained faithful.”

In 2010 two prominent Pakistani politicians were assassinated after they publicly defended Mrs Bibi and the lawyer has faced threats for defending his client.

Mr Sindhu said: “Pray for her and pray for me because anything could happen to me. But I’m ready to pay the price and I’m carrying the cross.”

Mrs Bibi’s daughters Esham, 18, and Esha, 17, have travelled twice a month to visit their mother in Multan Jail ever since she was first imprisoned.

Esham said: “We talk to our mama about the things at home. I share my thoughts with her, like mother-daughter stuff.”

She added the visits begin joyfully but end each time with grief. She said: “She becomes sad… her daughters come to meet her from such a long distance and she cannot even hug them.”

Esha, who suffers from mental and physical disabilities, currently lives with their father Ashiq Masih along with her sister Esham. In the wake of the assassinations of the politicians who defended Mrs Bibi the family were forced to stay indoors, living in fear for their lives.

Esham said: “Papa used to tell me not to go out, the situation out there is very bad. We used to stay inside all the time. Someday someone will come and ask me, ‘Are you the daughter of Asia Bibi?'”

Mr Masih has said that even if his wife is released, there is a bounty on her head so their lives could never return to how they once were.

Pakistan is among the most dangerous countries in the world for Christians to live in. Mrs Bibi will become the first woman in Pakistan to be lawfully executed for blasphemy if the death penalty is carried out.

A mass brawl has erupted at a tented camp for migrants in Germany, with Albanians and Pakistanis fighting each other with sticks and irritant sprays.

It took police several hours to quell the violence between some 400 migrants at Calden, near Kassel in central Germany, German media report.

Fourteen people were injured, three of them police officers. It began with an argument in the camp’s canteen.

“Be careful on the judgment day — God will ask you, why did you choose the infidel as the leader, while I have warned you not to. Believers should not choose a non-Muslim as their leader,” he said.

He went on to tell the Jama’ah there would be “bad consequences” for those who vote for a non-Muslim.

“We will learn. We are just 71 years independent, I think we are more advanced if you compare [us] to the United States of America.

Ethiopia: Muslims Forcibly Building Mosque on Christian Land Despite Court Ruling

A Muslim mob in Deder, Ethiopia, attacked a Christian man and forced him out of his home on pain of death in an effort to appropriate his land and build a mosque on it—despite recent court rulings confirming the Christian man’s property rights.

“Their first plan was to kill my husband,” said Fikere Mengistu’s wife. “Now, he has escaped from the area. We are fasting and praying for God to rescue us from this forceful action.”

She remains with her five children, aged mother-in-law, and 30 other Christians praying on the property.

According to International Christian Concern,

Fikere Mengistu’s family has owned their land for more than 90 years, but a mob of more than 20 Muslims in Kufanzik village remain intent on forcibly building a mosque on the Mengistu farm in defiance of the law. Muslims make up the religious majority in the area. They have destroyed his fence and have looted his possessions. In addition, the local police are complicit in these attempts to steal his land…. The authorities are letting it happen. In the past, he has faced threats from local police officers, has been forced to pay bribes, and has been imprisoned simply because he is a Christian.

“We did our best try to defend our faith based on the law of the country… Muslims are out of the control of the government and the law. What can we do?” said Mengistu.

Somalia Bans Christmas Celebrations

My Note: The very same Somali government – which is supported and babysitted for the past seven years by neighboring Christian states like Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya – whose soldiers shed their precious blood to save Somalis from themselves – bans Christians from practicing their faith?! Millions of Muslim Somalis who took refuge in gracious Ethiopia and Kenya were given the chance to live a free and peaceful life, yet, Somalia remains as intolerant as the Somalia of yesteryear. Somalia has about 1,000 surviving Christians and they are a challenge / threat to this ungrateful and insecure Muslim hellhole?

The Somali Government has banned celebration of Christian festivities in the country.

A directive released by the Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs stated that no Christian festivities could be held in Somalia.

The Director General of the ministry, Sheikh Mohamed Khayrow Aden, and the Director of the Religious Matters, Sheikh Ali Sheikh Mohamud alias Sheikh Ali Dhere, held a press conference in the capital Mogadishu, to make the announcement.

Aden, on his part, stated that all security and law enforcement agencies had been instructed to counter any such celebrations.

He added that copies of the directive were delivered to hotels and other meeting places in Mogadishu.

The officials did not say anything on whether non-Muslim foreign workers or residents could celebrate or not.

It is the first time that a Somali government has banned the celebrations since the last central government collapsed in 1991.
