✞✞✞ Isis executes a Coptic Christian in North Sinai: he had financed the construction of a church✞✞✞

Nabil Habashi Khadim, 62, was an esteemed merchant and philanthropist. He was kidnapped on 8 November last and killed with a Kalashnikov shot to the head. His murder was posted online by the jihadist movement who accused him of having contributed to the construction of the only Christian place of worship in Bir Al-Abd,

The Islamic State (IS, formerly Isis) has executed an Egyptian Orthodox Coptic Christian, killing him with a bullet to the head in an execution filmed and posted online yesterday on the jihadist group social channels and shared by numerous users and platforms.

The victim, already considered a “new martyr” by the country’s Orthodox, is an esteemed intellectual and businessman: 62 year-old Nabil Habashi Khadim who was kidnapped on November 8 in the city of Bir Al-Abd, in northern Sinai. In teh video he is seen being shot in the head with a Kalashnikov while kneeling on the ground.

Local sources report that the man had contributed to the construction of the only Christian place of worship in the city, the church of the Madonna dell’Anba Karras (Our Lady). This is also one of the reasons that led the jihadist commando to kidnap him.

In the video, one of the executioners belonging to the local Daesh cell (Arabic acronym for IS) explicitly accuses the man of having contributed, even financially, to the construction of the church just before pulling the trigger and executing him. The jihadist group also accuses the Church of “collaboration” with the Egyptian army, police and secret services.

Still others link the timing of the killing to the upcoming Easter holidays, which fall on May 2 for the Coptic Orthodox.

Witnesses say that Nabil Habashi Khadim, the latest in a “long line of North Sinai martyrs” was an esteemed jeweller from the city of Bir Al-Abd. His family is considered to be among the oldest in the Coptic community in the area, very active in the gold trade as well as owning a clothing store and a cell phone resale business.

On 8 November a group of men, armed but in civilian clothes, kidnapped him on the street in front of his house and fled undisturbed. In all these months the searches of the police and the appeals of the family for his release have been in vain.

His death caused grief and emotion in the Egyptian Coptic community, whose leader Pope Tawadros II issued a stark condemnation and asked for prayers for the man “kidnapped by Takfiri elements in North Sinai five months ago and subsequently martyred”.

The Church, continues the note, “weeps for a son and a faithful servant” who is now in the heavenly glory of Christ for having “testified to his faith even to the sacrifice of blood”. The declaration concludes by confirming the support of the Coptic Orthodox community “for the efforts of the Egyptian state” to counter “these hateful acts of terrorism” and “to preserve our dear national unity” for a “future of peace and prosperity”.

Islamic extremist groups have been fighting for years in northern Sinai, which intensified following the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi in 2013 and the rise of the Islamic State in the region the following year. Several Christians have also been targeted, killed in attacks against individuals and groups of faithful.

In February 2018, the Egyptian security forces, the army and the police launched a massive campaign against armed groups and jihadists, with particular attention to the North Sinai area.

In just over two years, more than 840 terror suspects and over 60 soldiers have been killed.

Hollywood’s Feminist A-List Cashes In on Global Suffering of People of Color

New Year’s Eve personality Kathy Griffin has a message for Donald Trump: she wants to hold his bloody severed head in her hands.

Griffin’s hyperviolent “art” photography holding the simulated Trump head will rightfully put a spotlight on the culture of violence leftists have cultivated in America follow the President’s electoral victory. But it should also serve as a reminder that Griffin is not alone on Hollywood’s female comedy A-list in feeling comfortable using the suffering of non-white people around the world to make money and generate headlines. Too many of Hollywood’s liberal white female comedians see their suffering as joke fodder for new movies, sketches, or stand-up routines.

Griffin’s “beheading” photo plagiarizes an aesthetic popularized by the Islamic State, in which jihadis hold up photos of severed heads and smile into the camera, beaming with their trophies. Toddlers in terrorist training camps start off with dolls or teddy bears before graduating to human heads. The most aggressive jihadi teachers have their children holding up bloody heads before age 10.

These children are taught that beheadings are proper punishment for kuffar (unbelievers) and Muslim traitors who do not adhere to the Islamic State’s version of Sunni Islam. Christians, Jews, Shiite Muslims, and anyone believed to have violated Sharia law, often on video as a threat to the rest of the world. The Islamic State has singled out President Donald Trump for such a fate, but most of its actual victims are not American. They are Syrian, Iraqi, Libyan, Jordanian, Afghan, Pakistani, Nigerian, Bengali, Filipino, and Kurdish of all nationalities – citizens of the countries where ISIS has established a presence.

Whether Griffin meant to elicit laughs with her cultural appropriation of Islamic State-style beheading propaganda remains unclear. On Twitter Tuesday, she alleged she was attempting to “mock” Trump. What she clearly did not intend was to highlight the suffering of the victims of this sort of violence with any dignity, earning this episode a place in the greater narrative affirmed by the likes of Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, and Tina Fey that the very real violence people of color face around the world is fertile ground for new material.

Handler, for instance, has notched several offenses against Africans and black Americans under her belt. In a book and subsequent television special, titled Uganda Be Kidding Me, she jokes that she and a friend believed simply being in Africa would lead to her rape. The analysis of Uganda does not go much deeper than that – the modern history of the nation’s fight against the Lord’s Resistance Army and its leader, Joseph Kony, becomes a throwaway rape joke to sell to American audiences (no thanks to the American liberals who raised money off of his name, Uganda gave up its search for Kony in April despite the terrorist’s unknown whereabouts).

During the promotional period for that special, Handler used slavery and rampant violence in eastern Africa to generate joke tweets insulting, among others, Angelina Jolie and Lupita N’yongo. While Handler has dismissed all criticism of her racial invective by claiming to be open to romantic relationships with black men, her tweets branded her a false liberal in the eyes of leftist outlets like Salon.

Actors like Amy Schumer and Tina Fey have, in much more egregious fashion, rewritten the suffering of thousands as profitable comedies. In Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Fey took on the true story of journalist Kim Barker, on assigning in Afghanistan to cover the Taliban. Barker’s book The Taliban Shuffle, on which the film is based, is written with the suffering of the subjects in mind, while also acknowledging the dark humor of taking on as dangerous a job as a war correspondent in Pakistan and Afghanistan. As Barker herself notes in an interview, the film “Hollywoodizes” her story, adding a romantic side plot, and stripping it of the foreign policy depth her book provides (Barker says in the interview she was comfortable with this). As one review observes, the film rapidly gets glib:

A joke about Afghan men thinking that Kim “would make a handsome boy.” A joke about burqas. (Donning one for the first time, Kim exclaims, “It’s so pretty I don’t even want to vote!”) A joke about the many challenges and ironies of a Western woman navigating a Muslim country.

Another review identifies the film as outright racist, depending on “the buffoonery of Afghans” for many of its jokes.

While Whiskey Tango Foxtrot at least boasted the endorsement of the book’s author and, one could argue, was an attempt at a heartfelt statement on the absurdities of war, Amy Schumer’s recent FARC parody Snatched clearly makes no attempt to identify with the hundreds of thousands of victims of South America’s most formidable terrorist organization, the Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – guilty of innumerable kidnappings, rapes, forced abortions, and murders. In the film, Schumer convinces her worrywart mother, played by Goldie Hawn, to travel to Ecuador, where they are soon abducted by a guerrilla and whisked into the jungles of Colombia.

Despite the liberal hero status Schumer brings to the film, critics pilloried it as racist, milking the outrageous stereotypes Colombians have been striving to shake off for the past 30 years for laughs. While Schumer did not write the film, her presence in it – as a comedian who has gone on the record calling Latin American men rapists – only exacerbates the outrage of mocking as delicate a situation as the 50+-year-old FARC conflict. The timing of the film, in the middle of Colombian leftists imposing on their people a peace deal that will turn the FARC into the wealthiest political party in Latin America, didn’t help, either.

In every one of these cases, the stars in question proceeded under the assumption that their status as feminist heroes would shield the American public from the racist opportunism present in their work. Though some leftists did condemn these works, showing ideological consistency, none of these women saw their profiles in Hollywood shrink because of their work. No mainstream director, studio, or artist has refused to work with them until they cease exploiting the suffering of non-white people to line their pockets.

Islamic State (ISIS) Crushes Hundreds of CHRISTIAN CHILDREN to Death in Dough Kneading Machine

The sick jihadis killed children, the eldest was just four years old, in an industrial dough kneader in the Syrian town of Duma.

In a chilling testimony, one Syrian woman spoke of “Christians being killed and tortured, and of children being beheaded in front of their parents.”

Speaking to Dr Yvette Isaac, from advocacy charity Roads to Success, Alice Assaf said: “Our neighbor came in and said: ‘Umm Issa, they have taken many girls about 300 girls. They were taken to Duma. Many of them were Christians and few were Alawites.

“At the bakery, there were six young people who were working there. We knew them. They were burned in the oven, six well-framed men.

“Then there were 250 children. They were put in the dough mixer, they were kneaded. The oldest one of them was four-years-old.”

As well as dealing with ISIS, Duma has been the site of bloodshed and violence as the city has found itself at the heart of the Syrian civil war.

The horrific killings comes as ISIS continues to wipe out Christians in the Middle East, targeting believers in Iraq and Syria.

The report, by charity Open Doors UK, found Christians in the region have been taken hostage, church leaders assassinated, homes and businesses destroyed and women and girls raped and forced into sexual slavery.

A ‘Real War for Oil’

The brinkmanship in which President’s Obama and Putin are now engaged over Syria was entirely avoidable. It is the result of supremely misguided and – in many cases – entirely illegal policies implemented by our president and members of his administration, including his old secretary of state, Hillary Clinton.

Think back to the “Arab Spring.” The purpose of that movement was never to usher in democratic rule in formerly secular Arab dictatorships, despite the gushing of the major media over the “birth of freedom.”

The Arab Spring was the outward expression of an operation to replace secular dictatorships in the Middle East (primarily the Levant) with Islamic dictatorships.

All this was prelude to the creation of a new Islamic “caliphate,” which the progressives in the West mistakenly viewed as a means to bring the Middle East into parity, economically, with the rest of the world.

They envisioned a sort of Islamic version of the EU – one that would be able to deliver the jobs, economic growth, and stability that has been missing from the Middle East for…well, forever. This foolish worldview/mindset is the result of Marxists’ inability to assess the world through anything other than their “red-tinged” lenses.

To the Marxist, everything is economic. Oppression is the reason economies don’t prosper; lack of jobs and prospects form the genesis of terrorism, not the demand from Mohammed to place the entire world under the heel of Islam in the name of Allah. Religion is a distraction to the Marxist, not a principle strong enough to motivate such enduring violence in this modern age.

That ridiculous former spokes-teen for the State Department, Marie Harf, famously said the best way to defeat ISIS is to find jobs for them. Of course, she was roundly panned and mocked for the statement, with most assuming that it was made out of incompetence. It was not.

She inadvertently revealed the basis of Obama’s Middle East policy – if we help create an economic entity for Islam, then those in the Middle East will grow their economies, care for their people, and never again kill innocents.

Fast-forward to the present day. Syria had been slated to be the next regime to fall in the Arab Spring. Why? Because Assad controls a major seaport and pipeline route for both oil and natural gas shipments to Europe and beyond. It’s a route the Saudis want to control, and also a route the Iranians and Russia will not permit to fall into the hands of their economic energy rivals.

The Saudis want to dominate the shipment of energy resources to Europe via a U.S.-approved extension to Turkey of the existing “Arab Gas Pipeline” running from Egypt to Homs, in west-central Syria. Assad refused to permit this Saudi-/Qatari-backed extension in favor of the “Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline” (colloquially dubbed the “Islamic Gas Pipeline”) supported by his ally and sponsor, Russia.

Combine these factors with the harsh reality that Putin needs a warm-weather port for oil transfers (which he has in Syria) and it’s not difficult to see why he will not permit Syria to fall.

The U.S., the Saudis, and others not only permitted, but also funded and protected the rise of ISIS so they could be deployed as a rogue agent able to attack Assad using methods civilized nations would never countenance but that are brutally effective among Islamic cultures. It’s a reprehensible and illegal strategy that amounts to letting “our side” deal in death and war crimes from a “deniable” distance.

Operating from the misguided idea that Islam seeks only to control its adherents’ own destiny in the Middle East, the wizards of smart in our government missed the reality that true Islam (which is what animates ISIS and the caliphate builders) recognizes no borders but its own, which Muslims will forever seek to expand, in obedience to the admonition of Mohammed.

In furtherance of this “holy obligation,” the “caliphate builders” want to re-establish control of the crescent known as the Levant, a crescent surrounding the Mediterranean Sea on the northern, southern and eastern sides.

Of course, that region encompasses Israel as well, so, understandably, there is a longstanding tension between Netanyahu, the Israeli leader, and Obama, who has all but declared Israel to be on its own if push comes to shove.

So now, in pursuit of a suicidal fantasy (attempting to carve out territory for, then standing up, an Islamic “trading partner” in the form of a caliphate dedicated to peaceful coexistence), we have come face to face with the proverbial rock, with the hard place at our back.

Putin has made clear that he will not stand down. Obama and Hillary are invested entirely in seeing their fantasy to fruition, and the powers that have financed them will not permit them to back down. Indeed, they are spurring them on under threat of exposing their perfidy and corruption to the world.

The Wikileaks releases may be prelude – warning, if you will – to Hillary and Obama that going wobbly now is unacceptable to their masters.

The Clinton Foundation is the likely conduit for much of the black money greasing the skids of the Arab Spring and the enabling of ISIS. The corrupt reality appears that, through its web of payoffs and shady “contributions,” much of the present administration is complicit through direct involvement or in turning a blind eye. This is why Hillary wasn’t prosecuted. The discovery phase alone would bring down our government.

So here we are…amid a rekindled Cold War that, absent a dramatic shift in policy, will become a shooting war sooner rather than later.

Once again, the corruption of a government grown too powerful, acting too far beyond the bounds of the Constitution, has led us to the brink of another, perhaps nation-ending, bloody conflict, with the potential (some would say, likelihood!) of spiraling into a third world war in very short order.

But, don’t let that worry you. I hear that Trump called someone fat.

India Sends Food For 10,000 Starving Workers in Saudi Arabia

What will they (Persian Gulf inhabitants) do when oil is no longer relevant? Dubai everything.

Over 10,000 starving Indian workers in Saudi Arabia have received 16,000kg of food from their own government, which was distributed in front of the India’s consulate in the port city of Jeddah.

Over 10,000 Indian workers were laid off in Saudi Arabia after growth has slowed in the country, triggered by the negative effects of falling oil prices.

The workers were left without any money to buy food or travel back to India. They asked their government for help.

The desperate situation came to light after India’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said “large numbers” of Indians had been laid off in Saudi Arabia.

Swaraj appealed to the Indian community on Twitter to “help your fellow brothers and sisters.”

Deceived migrant workers in UAE forced to work as slaves – report

“I assure you that no Indian worker rendered unemployed in Saudi Arabia will go without food,” she wrote.

Investigations into the matter revealed that thousands were starving across Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Swaraj told the Indian consulate in Saudi Arabia to make sure that no unemployed person starves and asked to monitor the situation on an hourly basis.

The Indian community was in charge of distributing the food supplies in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah.

India’s media revealed that local company Saudi Oger had failed to pay waged to workers for seven months. It employed a total of 50,000 employees and 4,000 of them were Indians.

“For the last seven months these Indian workers of Saudi Oger were not getting their salaries and the company had also stopped providing food to these workers,” confirmed Indian Consul General Mohammad Noor Rehman Sheikh.

India’s government is also planning to evacuate the stranded workers from Saudi Arabia. Junior Foreign Minister VK Singh will be traveling to Saudi Arabia to kick-start the repatriation process.

Islamic State: If Muslims Ran America, ‘Lucrative African Slave Trade Would Have Continued’

In a bizarre digression from their latest anti-Christian tirade, the Islamic State addressed the question of black slavery, claiming that if Muslims had been in charge of Western states, the slave trade would have continued. 

If Muslims rather than Christians had been running things in countries like the U.S., the Islamic State argues in the most recent issue of its propaganda magazine Dabiq, “the lucrative African slave trade would have continued, supporting a strong economy.”

As usual, the Islamic State supports its position with theological arguments, suggesting that Allah is pleased with slavery, as long as the slaves are infidels.

“The Islamic leadership would not have bypassed Allah’s permission to sell captured pagan humans, to teach them, and to convert them, as they worked hard for their masters in building a beautiful country,” the article reads.

Trading in black African slaves, the magazine notes, would not be done for racial reasons but religious ones.

“All of this would be done, not for racism, nationalism, or political lies, but to make the word of Allah supreme. Jihad is the ultimate show of one’s love for his Creator, facing the clashing of swords and buzzing of bullets on the battlefield, seeking to slaughter His enemies – whom he hates for Allah’s hatred of them.”

The article also notes that African slaves who “converted, practiced their religion well, and were freed would be treated no differently than any other free Muslim,” unlike what happened in the United States where slaves’ descendants “still live in a nation divided over those days,” the authors state.

The Islamists blame emancipation and the end to black slavery on a corrupt Christianity that has gone soft and no longer lives according to the most brutal dictates of the Old Testament.

“The clear difference between Muslims and the corrupt and deviant Jews and Christians is that Muslims are not ashamed of abiding by the rules sent down from their Lord regarding war and enforcement of divine law,” the authors claim.

“And since those mujahidin would have done so bound by the Law, they would have been thorough and without some ‘politically correct’ need to apologize years later.”

Along with African slavery, the Islamic State authors also state that “if it were the Muslims,” instead of Christians, who had “fought the Japanese and Vietnamese or invaded the lands of the Native Americans, there would have been no regrets in killing and enslaving those therein.”

“The Japanese, for example, would have been forcefully converted to Islam from their pagan ways – and if they stubbornly declined, perhaps another nuke would change their mind. The Vietnamese would likewise be offered Islam or beds of napalm.”

As for the Native Americans, the article continues, after the slaughter of their men, “then the Muslims would have taken their surviving women and children as slaves, raising the children as model Muslims and impregnating their women to produce a new generation of mujahidin.”

Finally, the Islamic State authors turn to the Jews, saving some of their most bitter vitriol for their sworn enemies..

“As for the treacherous Jews of Europe and elsewhere – those who would betray their covenant – then their post-pubescent males would face a slaughter that would make the Holocaust sound like a bedtime story, as their women would be made to serve their husbands’ and fathers’ killers.”

Current and former U.S. officials say a recent ISIS attack on the tomb of Mohammed in Saudi Arabia — Islam’s second holiest site — shows the terror group is now directly challenging the kingdom’s ruling family and trying to topple the monarchy. 

“The Saudi king’s tiles include ‘Protector of the two Holy Cities,” said one senior U.S. counterterrorism official. “The message of the attack is that that protection doesn’t exist.”

The kingdom’s two holy cities, Mecca and Medina, are home Islam’s two holiest sites, the Qabba in Mecca, which millions of pilgrims visit every year, and the Mosque of the Prophet in Medina, which holds Mohammed’s tomb.

Said the counterterrorism official, “If [the royal family] can’t protect those places — and people traveling to those cities from across Islam – it calls in to question the fitness of their ruling power and its legitimacy.”

The Medina attack, one of four launched by ISIS in Saudi Arabia on July 4, the next to last day of the month of Ramadan, took place in a parking lot about one-third of a mile from the Mosque of the Prophet. The driver of a car was confronted by four security people and detonated his suicide belt, killing himself and the officers. 

A classified U.S. intelligence report called the attempt to attack the Mosque of the Prophet “unprecedented. They got very close.”

On the same day, two other suicide bombers struck near a Shia mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia, and a fourth targeted the U.S. consulate in Jeddah. No one was killed in the attacks except the bombers. (On Thursday, the State Department warned of “a potential imminent threat against U.S. citizens in Jeddah” and urged caution.)

Turkey: The Country ISIS Uses As A Home Base And Where It Has Sold 800 Millions Dollars Of Oil

If we truly do want to get rid of ISIS, why aren’t we doing anything about the Islamic governments that are funding them, aiding them and facilitating the sale of their oil? As you will see below, ISIS fighters hop back and forth over the Turkish border with impunity, there are “direct dealings between Turkish officials and ranking ISIS members”, and more than $800,000,000 worth of ISIS oil has been sold in Turkey. If these things are true, action must be taken. According to a recent Rasmussen Reports survey, 92 percent of Americans consider Islamic terrorism to be a serious threat to the United States, and a Washington Post-ABC News survey found that 83 percent of registered voters believe that a terror attack that causes a large amount of casualties inside the United States is likely in the near future. The American people clearly want ISIS to be dealt with, so why isn’t the Obama administration doing anything to go after the state sponsors of such terror?

At this point, most Americans have absolutely no idea what is taking place in Iraq and Syria, and the mainstream media is certainly not being straight with us. That is why I want to share with you some key excerpts from an amazing article that was written by award-winning journalist and best-selling author Dr. Nafeez Ahmed. According to his bio, he has “written for the Independent on Sunday, The Independent, The Scotsman, Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Huffington Post, New Statesman, Prospect Magazine, Le Monde Diplomatique, among many others.” His recent article entitled “NATO is harbouring the Islamic State” is a must read. In particular, what he has to say about the relationship between the Turkish government and ISIS is extremely eye opening…

A senior Western official familiar with a large cache of intelligence obtained this summer from a major raid on an ISIS safehouse told the Guardian that “direct dealings between Turkish officials and ranking ISIS members was now ‘undeniable.’”

The same official confirmed that Turkey, a longstanding member of NATO, is not just supporting ISIS, but also other jihadist groups, including Ahrar al-Sham and Jabhat al-Nusra, al-Qaeda’s affiliate in Syria. “The distinctions they draw [with other opposition groups] are thin indeed,” said the official.“There is no doubt at all that they militarily cooperate with both.”

But it isn’t just that Turkey and ISIS have “direct dealings” with each other. In his article, Ahmed goes on to explain that ISIS uses Turkish territory as a home base from which to conduct attacks, and ISIS trucks are able to travel back and forth across the border and throughout Turkey quite freely…

The former ISIS fighter told Newsweek that Turkey was allowing ISIS trucks from Raqqa to cross the “border, through Turkey and then back across the border to attack Syrian Kurds in the city of Serekaniye in northern Syria in February.”ISIS militants would freely travel “through Turkey in a convoy of trucks,” and stop “at safehouses along the way.”

The former ISIS communication technician also admitted that he would routinely “connect ISIS field captains and commanders from Syria with people in Turkey on innumerable occasions,” adding that “the people they talked to were Turkish officials… ISIS commanders told us to fear nothing at all because there was full cooperation with the Turks.”

Unless the U.S. military and our intelligence agencies are completely blind, deaf and dumb, the Obama administration surely must know all of this already.

So why are they allowing it to happen?

In addition, in his article Ahmed also documented the fact that ISIS has been able to sell more than 800 million dollars worth of oil in Turkey…

Turkey has also played a key role in facilitating the life-blood of ISIS’ expansion: black market oil sales. Senior political and intelligence sources in Turkey and Iraq confirm that Turkish authorities have actively facilitated ISIS oil sales through the country.

Last summer, Mehmet Ali Ediboglu, an MP from the main opposition, the Republican People’s Party,estimated the quantity of ISIS oil sales in Turkey at about $800 million — that was over a year ago.

If ISIS had no place to sell their oil, they would be a far less formidable enemy.

And anyone that believes that the Obama administration does not know exactlywhere all of that oil is being sold is either completely clueless or is almost unbelievably naive.

US Denies Visa to Nun Set to Testify About ISIS Atrocities

All but one of the members of an Iraqi delegation of minority groups—comprising representatives of the Yazidi and Turkmen Shia religious communities—have been granted visas to come for official meetings in Washington. The lone member denied a visa was the only Iraqi Christian in the group, a Catholic nun.

Nina Shea, director of Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, reported Thursday that the U.S. State Department prevented a persecuted Iraqi Catholic nun named Sister Diana Momeka, “an internationally respected and leading representative of the Nineveh Christians who have been killed and deported by ISIS,” from coming to Washington to testify.

 

Sister Diana is a member of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Catherine of Siena, a Catholic order of nuns that traces its presence in Iraq back to the thirteenth century.

 

The nun is uniquely qualified to testify to Islamic State atrocities in Iraq. When Mosul was overrun by Islamic extremists in June 2014, about 500,000 civilians left the city en masse, in an effort to escape the siege. At that time, the only group that chose to remain in Mosul was the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena, “a congregation of Iraqi sisters that has witnessed generation upon generation of war and carnage.”

 

On Tuesday, however, the U.S. consulate in Erbil told Sister Diana that her visa application had been denied, stating that she was unable “to demonstrate that [her] intended activities in the United States would be consistent with the classification of the visa.”

 

The nun told Nina Shea she was informed she was rejected because she is an “IDP,” an Internally Displaced Person. In other words, the State Department suspected that the Catholic nun could be secretly intending to stay in the United States.

 

Never mind that Sister Diana already had meetings set up with the Senate and House Foreign Relations Committees, the State Department, USAID, and several NGOs, or that she submitted several documents attesting to her character, as well as the temporary nature of her stay in the U.S.

 

She is, in fact, contracted to teach at the Babel College of Philosophy and Theology in Erbil, Kurdistan, for the 2015–16 academic year.

 

Moreover, Sister Diana had already been permitted to visit the United States, and she delivered the commencement address at Chicago’s Catholic Theological Union in 2012.

 

According to Shea, the nun has become internationally known as a spokesperson for the over 100,000 Christians driven into Kurdistan under the ISIS “convert or die” policy. Former Congressman Frank Wolf (R. – Va.) met her in Kurdistan a few months ago and agreed to sponsor her trip to the U.S. to tell her story.

 

“The U.S. continues to screw the Christians of the Middle East, especially the defenseless Assyrians-Chaldeans-Syriacs of iraq and Syria. It started with the British and continued unabated with the U.S. They thought these two super powers were Christian and would stand behind them. They turned out to be the Devil and they do everything they can to erase the glorious Assyrians. They are responsible for ISIS who is not only driving these people out of their homes but also erasing their heritage by blowing up places like Nimrud, Khorsabad, etc. There will be hell to pay one day”
