🔥 Turkey hit by new 6.4-magnitude earthquake

Tremor shakes southern province of Hatay, which was worst-affected region in quake two weeks ago.

A powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake has hit Turkey’s southern province of Hatay, terrifying those left in a region devastated by powerful twin earthquakes two weeks earlier.

The quake, less powerful than the initial 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes which tore a path of destruction through southern Turkey and northern Syria on 6 February, albeit threatened yet more devastation in a region that had seen many people flee their destroyed homes for the safety of other towns and villages outside of the earthquake zone.

It struck at a depth of just two km (1.2 miles), the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, potentially magnifying its impact at ground level. It was centred near the southern Turkish city of Antakya and was felt in Syria, Egypt and Lebanon.

“It was the first day we’d decided to stay in our house as it’s just one floor, and I was using our heater to try and stay warm, demonstrating what to do in case another earthquake happened,” said Ata Koşar in the Hatay town of Ekinci, who lost his brother, his sister-in-law and his nephew when their nearby luxury apartment block collapsed during the first earthquake.

“I was laying on the floor, and as I was laying there another earthquake happened. We heard what sounded like more buildings collapsing again, and more damage to our house,” he said mournfully.

Witnesses said rescue teams were checking people were unharmed.

Muna al-Omar, a resident of Antakya, said she was in a tent in a park when the earthquake hit. “I thought the earth was going to split open under my feet,” she said, crying as she held her seven-year-old son in her arms.

“Is there going to be another aftershock?” she asked.

The death toll from the quakes two weeks ago rose to 41,156 in Turkey, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority AFAD said on Monday, and it was expected to climb further, with 385,000 apartments known to have been destroyed or seriously damaged and many people still missing.

The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said construction work on nearly 200,000 apartments in 11 earthquake-hit provinces of Turkey would begin next month.

Hours earlier, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, said on a visit to Turkey that Washington would help “for as long as it takes” as rescue operations and aftershocks were winding down, and focus turned to towards urgent shelter and reconstruction work.

Among the survivors of the earthquakes are about 356,000 pregnant women who urgently need access to health services, the UN sexual and reproductive health agency (UNFPA) has said.

They include 226,000 women in Turkey and 130,000 in Syria, about 38,800 of whom will deliver in the next month. Many of them were sheltering in camps or exposed to freezing temperatures and struggling to get food or clean water.

In Syria, already shattered by more than a decade of civil war, most deaths have been in the northwest, where the United Nations said 4,525 people were killed. The area is controlled by insurgents at war with forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad, complicating aid efforts.

Syrian officials say 1,414 people were killed in areas under the control of Assad’s government.

🛑 An asteroid which entered the earth’s atmosphere in the early hours of this morning, Monday February 13, has been captured on camera lighting up the sky over Southern England and France.

The one-metre asteroid – named Sar2667 was seen shortly before 3am as it exploded over the English Channel.

The explosion occurred as it entered the Earth’s atmosphere and it was visible from across most of southern Englandf and Wales, and as far south as Paris.

For only the seventh time ever, scientists were able to predict when and where the airburst would happen, after spotting its approach just hours before.

“Can’t believe I actually caught it. Wow!” the caption accompanying the video said.

The ESA tweeted that Sar2667 was expected to “safely” strike the Earth’s atmosphere over northern France shortly before 4 a.m. local time (3 a.m. local time in England).

“This is just the seventh time an #asteroidimpact has ever been predicted before it happens.” the ESA tweeted. “A sign of the rapid advancements in global asteroid detection capabilities!”

Asteroids are rocky remnants left over from the early formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago, Nasa says. The current known asteroid count is 1,266,098.

The majority are orbiting the Sun between Mars and Jupiter within the main asteroid belt. They range in size from Vesta – the largest at about 329 miles in diameter – to bodies that are less than 33ft across.

The total mass of all the asteroids combined is less than that of Earth’s Moon.

Jupiter’s immense gravity and rare close counters with other objects can change their orbits, knocking them out of the main belt into space, occasionally towards other planets.

Scientists continuously monitor Earth-crossing asteroids – those whose paths intersect our orbit – using radar.

ስለ ሕዝቤና ወገኔ የደም ማዕበልና የእንባ ጎርፍ ሳስብና ስመለከት ምን እንደምል ግራ ገብቶኝ በዝምታ ተውጬ ትንሽ ቆየሁ። ከልቤ የመረረ ኃዘን የተናሣ ፊቴ ጠቁሯል፤ውስጤም እየደማ ነው።ወደ ውስጥ የፈሰሰው ደም በውጭ ከሚፈሰው በላይ ጉዳት አለው። ይህ የልብ መድማት የእኔ ብቻ አይደለም።የአብዛኛው ኢትዮጵያዊም እንጂ።በአደባባይ ደማቸው ፈስሶ ከሚታዩትና ከሞቱት በላይ በቤታቸው ውስጥና በልባቸው ጫካ ውስጥ አጥንታቸው ችቦ፣ደማቸው ነዳጅ ጋዝ ሆኖ በሚንቀለቀል እሳት ውስጥ በዝምታ የሚሞቱት ይበልጣሉ። ስለዚህ በውስጤ የሚፈሰውን ደም ዛሬ በትንሹ ወደውጭ ለማስተንፈስ ወደድሁ።በተለይ ስለ ሃይማኖት መሪዎችና አባቶች ሳስብ በጣም ልብ የሚሰብር ነው ። ቅዱስ አባታችን አቡነ ማቲያስ ከእንኳን አደረሳችሁ መልክታቸው ቀጥለው የተናገሩት አባታዊ ምክር እና ምኞታቸው ከአንዲት ትልቅና ርዕት ሐይማኖት መሪ አባት አይደለም ከአንድ የኔ ቢጤ ምእመን የማይጠበቅ ንግግር ነው የተናገሩት ። አባታዊ ምክራቸውም ይህንን ይመስል ነበር ” ወጣቶች ልማት አታደናቅፉ አርፋችሁ ተቀመጡ ካለዛ ግን ዋጋችሁን ታገኛላችሁ “! ይህን ምክር ነበር ። በእውነቱ ቅዱስ አባታችን በጎቼን አሰማራ ፣ ጠቦቶቼን ጠብቅ ፣ግልገሎቼን ጠብቅ የሚለው አምላካዊ የአደራ ቃል ወዴት አስቀመጡት! ቅዱስ አባታችን በአሁኑ ስዓት ጸሎትና ጾም እና ምህላ በማድረግ ፈንታን ይህንን ልብ የሚሰብር አባታዊ ምክርዎትን ባሰብኩ ጊዜ በጣም አዘንኩ ። በሕዝብ የደምና የእንባ ባሕር ላይ የሚዋኙትን ግፈኞችና አረመኔዎች መገሰጽና ማውገዙ ቢቀር ቢያንስ በተኩላ መንጋ ውስጥ ያሰማሯቸውን በጎች ወደ እውነተኛው እረኛና ነፍሱን ስለበጎቹ ወዳኖረው፣ ወደሰጠው ብቸኛው ጌታ እንዲጮሁ ክርስቶስን ወክለው በበላይነት በሚመሯትና በሚያስተዳድሯት በቤተ ክርስቲያኗ ስም ጥሪ ቢያቀርቡ ምን አለበት?

ይህ ጥያቄዬ ሃይማኖታዊ ግዳጃቸውን ከሚወጡት የእግዚአብሔር ምርጦች አንዳንድ አባቾችና አገልጋዮች በስተቀር ላሉት ነው።ለእነዚህ ክብር ይገባቸዋል።ባሉበት ኃላፊነት ሀገራችንንና ሕዝባችንን በጸሎት የሚያስቡትን እግዚአብሔር በሰማያዊ መንግሥቱ ያስብልን።

❖ ፈርዖን ይሞታል። ያውም ሬሳው ላይገኝ ተሰጥሞ።

ፈርዖን መሞቱ ላይቀር ስለ ሚያልፈው ስልጣን ብሎ ስልጣን ተረካቢውን የበኩር ልጁን አስገደለው።የእሱን ብቻ ሳይሆን የግብፃውያን የበኩር ልጆች ሁሉ አስገደለ።

ፈርኦን ሆይ! ልብ ግዛ።

ማለፍህና መሞትህ ላይቀር በእግዚአብሔር ሕዝብ ላይ በምታደርሰው ግፍና ጭቆና ለአንተና ለነገሥህበት ሕዝብ ሕይወት የሆነውን የሀገርህን የወንዝ ውሃ ወደ ደም አትቀይረው።ውሃው ሕይወትህ ነውና የምትጠጣው አጥተህ እንዳትሞት።

ፈርዖን ሆይ! ልብ ግዛ።

ማለፍህና መሞትህ ላይቀር የእግዚአብሔር እጆች ባበጃጁትና በፈጠሩት ክቡር የሰው ልጅ ላይ በሬዎችህ የማይሸከሙትን ከባድ ቀንበር አትጫን።ይህ ሕዝብ የሰባት ዓመት ርሃብህን ያስወገደ፣አሁንም ድረስ ንብረቱን ብቻ ሳይሆን ጉልበቱን እየገበረልህ ያለ፣ስልጣንህ፣ደሞዝህ፣ክብርህ…ሁለመናህ ነው።

ፈርዖን ሆይ!የውርደትህን ዘመን አስብ።

ይህ ሕዝብ ትሁት ነው።የስምህ መጠሪያ የሆኑትን እነዚያ ታላላቅ ፒራሚዶች በልጆቹ ደም የገነባልህ ይህ ትሁትና ትእግስተኛ ሕዝብ ነው።

ራሔል ኢትዮጵያ ስለ ልጆችሽ ደም ጩኺ።ዝም አትበይ ጩኺ።ስለ ልጆችሽ ማልቀስ ተፈቅዶልሻል አሰምተሽ ጩኺ።

ፈርዖን ሆይ!ልብህን አታደንድን።

ይህ ሕዝብ አንተ እንዳትራብ የእርሻ ማሳዎችህን በስንዴ ሞልቷል።ሰብሉ ሳይታጨድ አንበጣና ኩብኩባ ወጥቶ ሳያጠፋብህ ምርቱን ከገለባው የሚለይልህን ይህንን ትሑትና ባሪያ ሕዝብ ልቀቅ አዝመራውን ይሰብስብ።

አንተ ደምቀህና አምሮብህ በአደባባይ እንድትታይ ቁምጣህን አውልቆ፣ንጹህ ልብስ ያለበሰህን፣የክብር ዘውድ የጫነልህንና ካባ የደረበልህን ትሑት ሕዝብ አስብ።እርቃንህን የሸፈነልህ ይህ ሕዝብ ከሌለ ቅማል ይበላሃል።

ስለ ሕዝቡ መከራና ስቃይ አንተን ግፈኛውን የሚበቅል እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይልሃል!”ወእትቤቀል ደመ ንጹሐ” የንጹሑ የአቤልን፣የንጹሑ የበራክዩን ልጅ የካህኑ የዘካርያስን፣የንጹሓን የሕጻናቱን፣ስለ ክርስቶስና ቤተ ክርስቲያን፣ስለ ሀገር… የታረዱትን የሰማእታትን ደም እበቀላለሁ ።ደማቸውንም ከአንተና እኔን ትተው አንተን ከሚያገለግሉ የጥፋት የሃይማኖት አባቶች ዘንድ እፈልጋለሁ።

❖ የሀገር መሪ የምትመስሉ የጥፋት መሪዎች ፈርዖንና ሠራዊቱ፣

ሃይማኖታዊ በሚመስል ተዓምራት ሕዝብን የምታደናግሩ የፈርዖን ጠንቋዮች ኢያኔስና ኢያንበሬስ መሬት ተከፍታ ሳትውጣችሁ፣ በሞት ባሕር ሰጥማችሁ ከሞታችሁ በፊት ንስሓ ግቡ፤ንስሓ ያልገባ መሪ የእግዚአብሔር ሕዝብ መምራት አይችልምና የእግዚአብሔርን ሕዝብ ልቀቁ።

➕ The Fast of Nineveh is beginning today. ➕

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church tradition attaches great significance to the Fast of Ninevities and three days of Jonah the prophet, which is followed by the Sunday of the departed priests and the Sunday of faithful departed before we enter the Great Lent. The story of Jonah the prophet and Nineveh people is written in this site as it is in the Book of Jonah in the Old Testament. (In fact, all we know about Jonah himself comes just from his book and a single reference to him in 2Kings 14:25.) Succinctly put, the Church sees within this book’s simple story an icon of Christ symbolically represented.

Nineveh was an ancient Assyrian city of Upper Mesopotamia, located in the modern-day city of Mosul in northern Iraq. The latest Magnitude 7.9 earthquake that hits Turkey, is felt across Iraq and Syria.

The Book of Jonah has a message of Salvation.

1) God sends Jonah to the people of Nineveh. The People were Gentiles, thus showing God’s desire to save all mankind.

“When you see the only begotten Word of God was due to be made manifest to human beings in his human nature and to enlighten all the nations with the light of the knowledge of God, even before His own incarnation, He gives the nations a glimpse of His divine care so as to confirm what would happen from what went on before, to teach everyone that He is God not only of Jews but also of nations, and to bring our the relationship of the Old and New Testament.” – Theodoret of Cyr

2) God uses Jonah to save the mariners on the boat. These men were also Gentiles, but we can see that they were men seeking the Lord:

a. They prayed to their gods before taking any actions (1:5)

b. They asked Jonah to pray to his God so that they may not perish (1:6)

c. They believed Jonah when he said “I am a servant of the Lord, and I worship the Lord God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land” (1:9-10)

d. They desired to save Jonah’s life by rowing harder, even after he told them to throw him in the sea (1:13)

e. They prayed for forgiveness from the true God (1:14)

f. They feared the Lord and offered Him sacrifices (1:16)

“They were endeavoring to find God’s will in order that they might carry it out. When the sea ceased its raging by their throwing Jonah into it they were assured of the presence of God in the matter. They believed in the Lord, offered Him a sacrifice and made vows. 3) God uses the whale to save Jonah

a. God prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah (1:17)

b. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights (1:17)

c. Jonah Prayed to God

d. Jonah put out on dry Land

That whale acted with great discipline according to an assuring predestined Divine plan. It appeared in the proper time and at the right place in order to carry Jonah in its belly. 4) God saves the people of Nineveh

a. The Lord commands Jonah again to go to Nineveh

b. Jonah prophecies the destruction of Nineveh

c. The Ninevites repent

And as Jonah was first commanded to preach to the Ninevites but his prophecy did not come to them till after the whale had vomited him out, so the prophecy made to the Gentiles did not come to them until after the resurrection – Augustine

Jonah’s thinking, however, was of a more serious type. He was still thinking of his dignity and of his word, which was not carried out. It was the same thinking of old which had formerly induced him to flee from the presence of the Lord. Due to that thinking he deprived himself of the fellowship of heaven’s exultation. He separated himself from joining the hosts of angels in their joy over Nineveh’s salvation. Let us do like the Ninevites, and use these three days to offer repentance from our hearts, seeking the forgiveness of our sins. Let us do like Jonah, and give thanks to the Lord who prepares our way for us through all tribulations and trials, as He prepared the belly of the whale for Jonah. A Giant Explosion at South Korea Airbase | World War III?

🔥 It comes after the North Korean regime yesterday fired an unidentified ballistic missile over the Korean peninsula.

On the 5^th of October 2022, an SNS video that an explosion occurred near the 18th Fighter Wing in Gangneung is spreading. A military official said, “It is true that it was an accident,” but said it was difficult to give an accurate answer.

An Air Force Headquarters official said on the phone with the Commerce Gallery on the same day, “It is difficult to tell because it is a security matter,” but, to the question about the explosion near the 18th Fighter Wing, “It is true that it is an accident. It is difficult to say exactly.” Then he said he was just trying to figure it out.

An official from the 18th Fighter Wing also declined to answer, saying, “I can’t answer this,” and said, “It’s a story that needs to be told through the Jeonghoon Public Affairs Office later.”

Currently on social media, the video is spreading saying that an explosion occurred on the side of the 18th Fighter Wing in Gangneung. In addition, a video that appears to be firing a missile by the South Korean military is being filmed, raising questions about the situation. Some are raising suspicions that a missile accident occurred during the exercise.

💭 Two Dead, Four Missing after Explosion Rocks German Chemicals Site

One person is dead and four are missing after an explosion rocked an industrial park in the western German city of Leverkusen on Tuesday, sending dark plumes of smoke into the sky.

A fire at the Chempark site, which includes chemicals companies Bayer (BAYGn.DE) and Lanxess (LXSG.DE), had been extinguished after an explosion at 9.40 a.m. local time (0740 GMT), park operator Currenta said.

“We are deeply shaken by the tragic death of one colleague,” Chempark chief Lars Friedrich said in a series of tweets, adding that four more people were missing.

Emergency services have rescued 12 injured people and a further four who were seriously injured, said the city of Leverkusen, which lies north of Cologne. In addition, five people were missing, it said.

Welt TV, citing the city’s security authority, reported that one person was dead. It was unclear whether that was one of the missing.

The area around the site was sealed off and surrounded by emergency vehicles.

Police asked residents living nearby to stay indoors and shut doors and windows. Currenta said they should also turn off air conditioning systems while it measured the air around the site for possible toxic gases.

Currenta said it was not clear what had caused the explosion and subsequent fire. More information will be available at 1200 GMT.

Sirens and emergency alerts on the German civil protection agency’s mobile phone app warned citizens of “extreme danger”.

Leverkusen is less than 50 km (30 miles) from the region that was hit last week by catastrophic floods which left at least 180 people dead.

Several nearby motorways were closed, and police said drivers should take detours to avoid the area.

More than 30 companies operate at the Chempark site in Leverkusen, including Covestro (1COV.DE), Bayer, Lanxess and Arlanxeo, according to its website.

Bayer and Lanxess in 2019 sold Chempark operator Currenta to Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MQG.AX) for an enterprise value of 3.5 billion euros ($4.12 billion).
