A mass exorcism ritual involving hundreds of Ethiopian Christians, who paid up to a month’s wages to be punched by a priest and doused in ‘holy water‘, has been captured in a fascinating photo series.

Some 150 people had been queuing up at a church outside the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa in order to meet a local celebrity healer whom they believe would be able to free them from ‘demons‘.

The photos show people of all ages crying hysterically as a cross touches their forehead, or being held down by relatives as they try to avoid being ‘exorcised‘, kicking and screaming.

Other striking shots show a woman seemingly screaming with all her might as she is brought up to the priest, grown men in tears, and dozens of people being hosed down with holy water.

They were taken by Czech photographer David Tesinsky who had ventured to Ethiopia specifically to capture exorcism rituals.

After two weeks of trying to convince locals to let in photograph the religious events, he found the Yerer Selassie church, not far from Addis Ababa, where locals were lining up to meet Ethiopian Orthodox priest Memehir Girma Wedimu.

‘People were crying, screaming and Memehir was punching them,’ said Tesinsky. ‘Memehir, I learned, had rejected all other churches, because he earned more money than the church itself.

‘He kept asking for money – I saw one very old woman give him a $100 (£76) bill to ‘expel’ her of demons and he still wanted more, even though that $100 was most likely all she could earn in one month.’

‘Their families think they are possessed by a “demon spirit” or “buda” – the power of the evil eye. They must be performed by a local priest.’

Ethiopia has had a significant Christian population for centuries, and the Ethiopian Church is the largest pre-colonial Christian church in Africa.

The belief in demons and the devil found across the religious spectrum is strong, in particularly in rural areas, and according to a 2010 survey, nearly three quarters of Christians in Ethiopia claim to have experienced or witnessed an exorcism.

በማለት የመምህር ግርማን ድንቅ ትምህርትና ተግባር ሙሉ በሙሉ አጽድቀዋል።

ዶ/ር ጋልጋር በሚያዝያ ወር ላይ እንዲህ ሲሉ ተናግረው ነበር: –

“ዲያብሎስን እንደ ተረት፣ ውክልና፣ ምስል፣ ዘይቤ ወይም ሐሳብ እንደሆነ አድርገን ማሰብ የለብንም፤ ስህተት ነው፤ ይህ ስህተት ይህ ስህተት፡ መከላከያ ጋሻችንን እንድንተው፣ ግድየለሽ እና የበለጠ ተጋላጭ እንድንሆን ያደርገናል። ሕይወታችን “የክፉ አለቃ” በሆነው በዲያብሎስ ላይ የማያቋርጥ ትግል የምናደርግበት ነው።“

Demons Really Are Possessing People, Warns Psychiatrist, As Pure Evil Sweeps Over Humanity

An Ivy League-educated psychiatrist is convinced that there’s a growing epidemic of demonic possession in the world today, and that most everyday people now recognize the dark reality of this scary situation.

Dr. Richard Gallagher, who boasts degrees from both Princeton University and Yale University, says that, despite conflicting opinions within mainstream medical science, demonic possession is both real and rampant.

With 25 years of experience under his belt as a private psychiatrist that compliments his two teaching positions at both New York Medical College and Columbia University, Dr. Gallagher believes he holds a unique vantage point in discerning between human and non-human, or satanic, behavior.

He’s also a highly sought-after professional of such things in cases where a determination is being made about the possible need for an exorcism. Having evaluated hundreds of cases of possible demonic possession towards this end, Dr. Gallagher is certain that the phenomenon is legitimate and pressing.

He insinuated to The Telegraph (United Kingdom) during a recent interview that demons know full well how to trick human beings because they possess far more advanced cognitive faculties. They routinely use these mental “smarts” to control the humans they possess, causing many of them to commit atrocities and other evils against other people and lifeforms.

“They’re very, very smart,” Dr. Gallagher is quoted as saying about the beings that occupy the demonic realm. “The intelligence level of a fallen angel, which is what I call them, is far superior to human beings.”

In April, he wrote: “Hence, we should not think of the Devil as a myth, a representation, a symbol, a figure of speech or an idea. This mistake would lead us to let down our guard, to grow careless and end up more vulnerable.” He observed that life can be “a constant struggle against the devil, the prince of evil”

He is not the only American psychiatrist who evaluates for possession – there are many others who consult on discernment. But Dr Gallagher is one of the few who is willing to talk about it. He has also written a forthcoming book on the subject, being published by Harper Collins, called Demonic Foes, A Psychiatrist Investigates Demonic Possession in the Modern United States.

“There are many other psychiatrists and mental health care professionals who do what I do – perhaps not to the scope that I do – who seem hesitant to speak out,” he explained. “That’s what gives my work some singularity. That I have had so much experience and that I am willing to speak out. I feel an obligation to speak out. I think that I should.”

አጋንንት በእኛ በክርስቶስ ልጆች ላይ ኃይል የላቸውም፤ ነገር ግን እያረሳሱና እያታለሉ ስለሚመጡብን ጥንቃቄ ካላደረግን መንፈሳችንን ሊያውኩና ሊጎዱ እንደሚችሉ ትምህርቱን ወስጃለሁ። ለዚህም ነው በስራ ባልደረቦች በኩል ብዙ መቁነጥነጥና መረበሽ በሚታዩባቸው በእነዚህ ጥቂት ቀናት እረፍት ወስጄ ከፈተና ለመራቅ የወሰንኩት። ከሦስት ሰዓታት በፊት ቤቴ ፊት ለፊት ሁለት መኪናዎች ለአስከፊ አደጋ ሲጋለጡ ዓይኔ ያይ ነበር።

ጌታችን አምላካችን መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ፦ የከነዓናዊቱን ሴት ልጅም ባለበት ሆኖ በቃሉ ብቻ ፈውሷታል። ይህች ሴት፦ «አቤቱ የዳዊት ልጅ እዘንልኝ፤ ልጄን ክፉ ጋኔን ይዞ ያሠቃያታልና፤» ብላ አብዝታ በጮኸች ጊዜ እምነቷ፥ ትዕግሥቷ ይገለጥ ዘንድ ዝም አላት። ጩኸቷን ባለማቋረጧም፦ ደቀመዛሙርቱ ወደ እርሱ ቀርበው፦ «ይህችን ሴት አሰናብታት፤ እኛን እየተከተለች ትጮሃለችና፤» ብለው ማለዱት። መማለዳቸውም፦ ትምህርት ታስፈታለች፥ አንድም ወይ ተናግረው አያስፈጽሙ፤ ወይ አያሰናብቱ ትላለች ብለው፥ አንድም ብታሳዝናቸው ነው። እርሱም መልሶ፦ «ከእስራኤል ቤት ወደ ጠፉ በጎች (ትምህርት አብነት አጥተው ወደ ተጐዱት) ብቻ እንጂ አልተላክሁም፤» አላቸው። እንዲህም ያለው የተነገረውን ትንቢት፥ የተቈጠረውን ሱባዔ የሚያውቁት እነርሱ በመሆናቸው ነው። ሴቲቱም፦ ቀርባ፦ «አቤቱ ጌታዬ እርዳኝ፤» ብላ ሰገደችለት። እርሱም መልሶ፦ «የልጆችን እንጀራ ወስዶ ለውሾች መስጠት መልካም አይደለም፤» አላት። እንዲህም ማለቱ ይህች ሴት፦ «ከነዓን ርጉም ይሁን፤ ለወንድሞቹም የባሪያዎች ባሪያ ይሁን።» ከተባለው ወገን በመሆኗ ነው። ትርጉሙም የተመረቀው የሴም በረከት ለተረገመው ለከነዓን አይሰጥም ማለት ነው። ሴቲቱም በፍጹም እምነትና ትህትና፦ «አዎን ጌታዬ ውሾችም እኮ ከጌቶቻቸው ማዕድ የሚወድቀውን ፍርፋሪ ይበላሉ፤ (ለእስራኤል ደጋጉን ተአምራት ብታደርግላቸው ጥቃቅኑን ተአምራት አታደርግልኝምን)? አለችው። ከዚህም በኋላ ጌታችን መልሶ፦ «አንቺ ሴት፥ እምነትሽ ታላቅ ነው፤ እንደወደድሽ ይሁንልሽ፤» አላት፤ ከዚህችም ሰዓት ጀምሮ ልጅዋ ዳነች። ማቴ ፲፭፥፳፩–፳፰። ጌታችን ይህችን ሴት ሦስት ነገር አግኝቶባታል። እነርሱም፦ እምነት፥ ትህትና እና ጥበብ ናቸው፤ ልጄን ያድንልኛል ብላ መምጣቷ እምነት ነው፥ በውሻ ሲመስላት «አዎን ውሻ ነኝ፤» ማለቷ ትሕትና ነው፥ «የልጆችን እንጀራ ለውሾች መስጠት አይገባም፤» ብሎ በጥበብ ሲናገር፥ እርሷም፦ «ውሾችም እኮ ከጌቶቻቸው ማዕድ የሚወድቀውን ፍርፋሪ ይበላሉ፤» ብላ በጥበብ ተናግራለች።

Priest Claims There Has Been A Dramatic Increase ኢn Demonic Activity Across Ireland as He Calls for More Exorcists to be Trained to Meet Demand

• An Irish priest has called on Catholic bishops to train more exorcists after noticing a surge in ‘demonic activity’.

• Fr Pat Collins, Ireland‘s most prominent exorcist, said demand for his services has risen ‘exponentially’ in recent years.
• He has been overwhelmed by requests for his help, he added, stressing in an open letter to the church’s senior clergy that he needs support.

‘What I’m finding out desperately, is people who in their own minds believe – rightly or wrongly – that they’re afflicted by an evil spirit,’ Fr Collins told The Irish Catholic.

The Dublin priest added that he is ‘baffled’ by bishops’ failure to recruit more specialist priests to deal with ghost encounters and demonic possession.

‘I think in many cases they wrongly think [they are possessed], but when they turn to the Church, the Church doesn’t know what to do with them and they refer them on either to a psychologist or to somebody that they’ve heard of that is interested in this form of ministry, and they do fall between the cracks and often are not helped,’ Fr Collins said.

The International Association of Exorcists – which consists of 400 Catholic priests and leaders – has also reported a surge in apparent demonic phenomena.

It said in 2014 that evil occurrences around the word had reached such levels that it had become a ‘pastoral emergency’.

In a statement to The Irish Catholic, however, the Catholic Communications Office at Maynooth said the church requires a trained exorcist in each diocese.

The specialists must be capable of distinguishing between genuine demonic possession and mental illness, it added.

A spokeswoman said: ‘Exorcisms are very rare and this office has not been made aware of any cases of ‘exorcism’ in Ireland in recent years’.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Catholic News Agency notes, stresses the need to separate signs of mental illness and apparent manifestations of the devil.

Paragraph 1673 explains: ‘Exorcism is directed at the expulsion of demons or to the liberation from demonic possession through the spiritual authority which Jesus entrusted to his Church.

‘Illness, especially psychological illness, is a very different matter; treating this is the concern of medical science.

‘Therefore, before an exorcism is performed, it is important to ascertain that one is dealing with the presence of the Evil One, and not an illness.’

In November, Fr Collins said he was appalled there was no ‘safeguarding from the evil spirits’ in the church.

He said then that bishops were ‘neglecting’ the practice of fighting evil and that he was ‘deeply’ bothered by the lack of priests with exorcism training.

‘It’s interesting as people lose faith in God, they are increasing their interest in the devil and it’s purely morbid,’ he said.

‘I’d say to anyone who’s got that morbid interest, “If you had to deal with evil as someone have to do, it is horrible, it is pure darkness”.’

He also added that his deep faith protects him from evil spirits, stressing that he ‘knows who’s boss’.

He said that the lord has ‘power and authority’ over evil spirits, and because of that, exorcists also have authority over the demons.

‘I believe there is nothing to be afraid of but priests and lay people need training in how to go about this and how to distinguish between psychological problems and spiritual problems and how they interconnect at times as they often do,’ he said.

Christian Exorcisms Cast Out Muslim Devils

On October 31, 2013, Father Sama’an Ibrahim give an exorcism to Muslims and Christians.

Possessed Egyptian Muslims are turning to Coptic priests to expel their demons the old-fashioned way—through the power of Christ

It’s 6 p.m. in Cairo’s Garbage City slum, and hundreds of people have gathered outside St. Sama’an Cathedral for the evening service. The crowd, which has been building for hours, is waiting patiently for Father Sama’an Ibrahim, the famous Coptic priest and founder of the church. It’s Thursday, which as everyone in Garbage City knows, is exorcism night.

The majority of the people gathered in this packed courtyard are not actually Christian. They’re Muslims who have come in the hopes that Father Sama’an can expel their demons. Groups of women in hijabs huddle together in silence, and every 30 minutes or so, a minibus arrives bearing more pilgrims. As darkness approaches, you can feel the anticipation in the air. One woman lets out a bloodcurdling scream, and two of her friends rush over to quiet her down.

Hamid, an old Muslim man who is uncomfortable giving his surname, sits on a bench, his crutches propped up next to him. “I am here because my body feels like someone is shaking me,” he says. “I want to meet Father Sama’an.” Hamid, like many here, didn’t come by himself. Two young Coptic women from Cairo found him on the side of the road and decided to help him get here. “There are bad spirits that live inside others,” says Vivian, 17, one of the women. She believes Father Sama’an’s abilities “come from God.”

Carved into the rock face of Mokattam Mountain, St. Sama’an Cathedral itself is more like a stadium, with seats that rise up into the sky to form an echoing amphitheater. As the crowd makes its way inside, Arabic hymns start to filter out through the large central entrance tunnel. At around 7 p.m., Father Sama’an, an old, bespectacled man with a flowing gray beard starts making his way across the courtyard to a Mercedes that has pulled up directly in front of the tunnel. This will be is his ride to the altar. The crowd makes a path for him and waves.

“His spirit is very powerful,” my translator whispers to me.

On October 31, 2013, Muslim women wait in front of St. Sama’ans Church for the exorcism to start.

Sama’an Ibrahim’s power to heal is the stuff of legend, and when he makes his way to the stage after his big entrance, he does nothing to discourage this perception. “I have raised four people from the dead,” he declares during his sermon. “There were witnesses.” The audience isn’t shocked. They’ve all heard this before.

According to lore, Father Sama’an founded St. Sama’an Cathedral about two decades ago, after a local asked him to come to Garbage City. Once here, the story goes, he found a page from the Biblical book of Acts on the ground, which led him to an ancient cave church amidst the mounds of refuse that give Garbage City its name. He claims the Coptic Pope Shenoda told him it was a divine signal. In the years since, Sama’an has turned the little alcove into the biggest church by capacity in the entire Middle East, complete with Hollywood-caliber camera and lighting equipment.

Everyone here seems to have a story or two to tell of Father Sama’an’s divine connection. Local businessman Edhim says Father Sama’an resurrected him when he was 8 years old; Naroz, 62, who works in another Garbage City church, claims to have seen Father Sama’an breathe life back into a woman who was crushed by a stone. Hundreds more have tales to share about minor infirmities that were healed through his supernatural powers, and it drives people to the church week in and week out.

Egyptian families generally consider exorcisms—in Arabic, ekhrag el shayateen (output of demons)—a very private matter, so it is difficult to determine how many people participate in them throughout the country. However, places like St. Sama’an Cathedral and Father Makary Younan’s St. Mark’s Church—the two major hubs for weekly Coptic exorcisms—are known to attract scores of exorcism seekers from Cairo and the surrounding areas every week.

Additionally, some Muslim sheikhs perform their own form of exorcisms, which generally consist simply of reading the Quran over the “possessed.” Just a few blocks from Father Sama’an’s church, for instance, Sheikh Mahmoud Tahaa, 35, claims to have exorcised many demons. “People come to me when they think they have a devil inside them,” Sheikh Tahaa says. “I know if it’s a devil if it speaks to me.” Asked what a devil sounds like, he says, “They speak no Arabic or English,” but rather a “devil language.” He is, however, quick to add that in many cases, people just “need to go to a doctor.”

“There does exist healing by the Quran, and whoever says otherwise is a liar,” Sayyed Attiyah, one of a number of Muslim sheikhs who exorcize in Cairo, recently told Reuters. “If the Quran cannot heal someone, then there is nothing else that can.”

But sometimes one exorcism just doesn’t seem to do the trick.

“If you are sick, you go to a sheikh,” explains Ahmed Ibrahim Sahim, a 51-year-old Muslim, outside the St. Sama’an. “And if you’re still sick after a reading from the Quran, you go to a Christian.” Ahmed, like so many others here, has made the trip to Garbage City to get Father Sama’an to heal his friend Mustafa Ibrahim, 51, who he thinks is possessed by a demon. Their friend Zakaria Rasheed, 49, a Christian, accompanies them. Mustafa shakes violently and lets out a slight yelp as his friends try to calm him down. Mustafa’s sheikh had tried to exorcise his demon, they say, but had failed, so they’ve come to Father Sama’an as a last resort. They know he’s a powerful man, and if he can’t get the demon out of him, no one can.

In the center of the courtyard, Malik, 21, is burning paper on the stone floor, or what he calls “contracts with the devil,” made by deceptive sheikhs when Muslim women go to them for help from God. Unless these contracts are burned, Malik warns, Father Sama’an can’t help them. (Egypt’s high rate of illiteracy—16 million illiterates in a country of approximately 81 million—could be a contributing factor to these myths.) One Copt later told me these contracts are meant to help one evil spirit vanquish another evil spirit, by becoming bound to their human host, though I wasn’t able to find any precedent for this practice in theological texts.

This particular Thursday is an especially busy day. Scores of people are here for the exorcisms, most of whom are poor-to-middle-class Muslims with nowhere else to turn.

Water = Live ፤ ውሃ = ህይወት

I found the following two interesting thoughts / stories in my mailbox…

Before I get in to this, I am not saying this is what I believe! This is something I’ve been thinking about for awhile. Im just looking for your thoughts and opinions. That and to provoke some thought outside of all the DOOM on here. So here goes.

Water is the most abundant molecule in the universe and it is also the most abundant solid substance in space. Water molecules are everywhere. Water is the life-giver in our physical world. By definition God is the Life-giver. Water exists in three forms gas, liquid, and solid. God is described as the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Water is the only substance on this earth that can exist in three forms simultaneously. So think of the Father as being equivalent to water vapor. It is everywhere but remains unseen. Both rain and ice are created from this invisible form of water. God the father, is also everywhere and remains unseen. God created the Son and Spirit? Jesus, the son would be compared to ice. Which would be the solid form of water. Jesus, whom spent time on earth and was seen by many. He was referred to as the Rock, something solid.

Now, The Holy Spirit would be equal to water. The Holy Spirit is said to live in all living creatures. The Holy Spirit is sent from the Heaven to do His work on earth. Water is sent from the clouds to rain down on the earth. To cleanse and to nourish. The Holy Spirit is used to baptize and wash our souls while water is used to wash our bodies. To cleanse or to make new.

Water is the only substance to expand when it gets colder which in turn makes it float, Rise up. If ice did not float life would not be possible, at least as life appears today. So the Bible says that Jesus rose from his tomb so we could have eternal life, spiritual life! Ice also preserves or saves things. In Jesus Christ, we are saved from our sin.

Water that is evaporated, also rises. Water on earth is full of dirt and debris. As it rises it is freed of the things that bog it down or that makes it un pure. As it is said we also would be freed from our earthly restraints, dirt. As we rise into the heavens to be with God.

In GE 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Here it almost sounds like that there was only water to begin with. Here at least it doesn’t say God created water. at least during the 6 days. So is water God?

There many who believe that water has memory. Masaru Emoto was a Japanese author and entrepreneur, who claimed that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. Emoto’s early work explored his theory that water could react to positive thoughts and words, and that polluted water could be cleaned through prayer and positive visualization. This can be looked up on youtube, “water has memory”. Very Interesting on its own.

That being said, think of the oceans and the sea as a big memory bank where all the information of the world is stored and processed. Where every thought, image, and the blue print to everything ever in existence is keep. Now if this is true and God knows everything, is this how our thoughts and prayers are transported, By water vapor up to the sky to the white clouds, to God.

As babies we are around 78 to 84 percent water. This is higher than in an adult body which has 57 to 60 percent water. God said we were made in his image. As we get order and more corrupt and beat down by the world, is this the reason why we lose such a large amount of water in our bodies. It is also said that God is in every living thing. Is this by water. Humans have always wondered where our souls are located. What if our souls are made of water. When we die our bodies dry up and turn to dust. The water evaporates and everything else stays on the earth.

Demonic Manifestations At Abortion Mills Increase

Although we’ve heard much in the news recently of the evils of Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry in general, most people rarely give a thought to that one little word―evil―and how evil acts commited in one place “collect” and “build up” over time.  But this is exactly what has been happening increasingly, causing a rip in our material existence and forcing the supernatural to become visible.

The following incidents are, I believe, a warning to humanity.  As society breaks down, as more and more are calling evil good, and good evil, we will see more of these manifestations; proving that the veil between our world and eternity is thinning.  Beware.  The war waged for men’s souls since the beginning of time is going nuclear because “the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.”  (Revelation 12:12)

Our first account is from Patrice Dietz (SpiritDaily.com), whose habit each Wednesday is to pray before the Red River Women’s Clinic in downtown Fargo, North Dakota with other faithful pro-lifers. Abortions there usually end the lives of twenty to twenty-five babies per day.

On that day, “the usual young woman escort was stationed there as well, in her low-cut dress and neon green vest, ready to snatch the scared and often uncertain young women that come in for abortions. She had her earbuds in place and was singing cheerfully to some tune or other in an effort to drown out the Hail Marys of our Rosaries.

“After a few minutes we noticed the clinic manager and several of the clinic workers walked by us, dressed in medical scrubs with covered coffee cups, ready to carry out their grisly work in the upstairs offices of the mill. Then a local priest showed up and began sprinkling us and the sidewalk and the building with Holy Water. He led us in prayer of the Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet, over and over, calling on the Precious Blood of Jesus to end the scourge of abortion.”

Patrice states that directly across the street from them, a woman was pacing back and forth talking on her cell phone and staring at the abortion mill. She finally turned around and walked back to her car and Patrice felt the prayers were working. But after a few more minutes of intense prayer, strange events began to happen.

The abortion clinic manager came flying out the door and stopped directly in front of the priest, who by this time was kneeling on the sidewalk. She screamed, ‘What is going on out here?’ Evidently business wasn’t all that good today. Then she aimed her cell phone at the priest, taking a close-up picture that was meant to intimidate him. He hardly looked up. This was just too much for her to take and she turned around and stormed back into the building.

In Patrice’s own words, “After a few more minutes and some frantic texting by the mill escort, a young woman on her bike showed up. She handed the escort a Starbucks coffee and proceeded to get something round and shiny out of her pocket. She held it up in front of the priest’s face and chanted something strange, stood there for a while, laughed, and got back on her bike and left. We stood there not knowing what to think and father told us that she had just tried to cast a spell on him. We resumed our prayer. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a new arrival. He got off his bike just far enough to let his feet down and begin honking a red rubber ball- horn on his bike. I remember his face well. It looked very clown-like and he had huge grin on his face and delight in his eyes. I had to laugh, he looked so ridiculous. Father also laughed, although there was nothing at all funny about it. Father said he was just trying to distract us from our prayers.

“Undisturbed by all this, father’s prayers became more and more intense as he continued to call down the Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Then suddenly the lady next to me and I heard a deep growl that seemed to come out of the abortion clinic near our feet. We both looked down and said nothing, knowing what we had heard. Neither of us were afraid as we knew Our Lord was there protecting us. That day I knew that Satan cannot stand the Precious Blood!

“And that day a precious baby was most likely saved! The next week, before the abortion mill opened, four priests were on each corner of the block of the Red River Abortion Clinic saying prayers of exorcism. Praise be to God!”

According to tradition, typical demonic responses during exorcism include foul language, references to sexual perversion, deceit, and profuse blasphemy. Similarly, prayers for exorcism outside the Northern Illinois Women’s Center abortuary in Rockford have provoked just such a reaction from pro-abortion workers and activists within.

Their revulsion for anything as holy as a Catholic priest is evident in their bizarre window displays, a few of which reportedly include a nun in a coffin, a rubber chicken hanging from a noose, and a picture of Jesus flipping the bird that says, “Even Jesus Hates You.”

The Rockford mill hates and attacks the priests outside so viciously because they, and priests and pro-life workers like them all over the country, have saved countless lives and souls.

When they first began their vigils, it was reported that the pro-life sidewalk counselors in Rockford noticed an immediate, dramatic decline in the numbers of mothers who go there for abortions, a distinct rise in the numbers of mothers who choose life outside the mill, and the correlation of these changes with the beginning of the displays of blasphemy from inside.

The response at this abortuary has been particularly virulent, but priests are praying outside them all over the country through Priests for Life, in which priests and parishes are paired with specific abortuaries.

Priest Performs Exorcism on Entire Italian Town from Helicopter

Alarmed over the growth of local Satanic cults, a Catholic priest from Salerno has performed an aerial exorcism of the entire southern Italian town of Castellammare di Stabia from a helicopter.

According to reports, profanations, sacrilegious thefts from churches, and destruction of crosses have multiplied in the last months, which moved a prayer group of concerned citizens to request the exorcism. The ritual, which involved prayers and sprinkling holy water over the town from a rented helicopter, took place on July 9 but has only come to light more recently.

The seaside town has been mired in problems for some time. Its historic thermal baths are closed due to bankruptcy; the cable car to its local mountain, Mount Faito, has been shut down; crime is at an all-time high; and the local harbor has become unswimmable because of pollution.

Some would attribute Castellammare’s woes to demonic influence, a theory reinforced by the many recent episodes of desecrated crosses turned upside down, sacrilegious thefts of holy objects from churches, and statues of the Madonna thrown off cliffs.

“If Satan exists, he has taken control of Castellammare di Stabia and its people,” said the group of local faithful in a statement. “All we have left is the exorcist to try for a recovery.”

While uncommon, such mass exorcisms are not unheard of. Earlier this summer, several bishops and exorcist priests performed a “Magno Exorcismo” (great exorcism) on the entire country of Mexico following a series of events that the bishops saw as linked to demonic activity.

The former Archbishop of Guadalajara, Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iñiguez and the Archbishop of San Luis Potosi, Carlos Cabrero, as well as other priests from various Mexican dioceses held a closed-door exorcism at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Luis Potosí.

The well-known Spanish exorcist Father José Antonio Fortea acted as master of ceremonies for the exorcism rite, which has been called “unprecedented in the history of Mexico.” Father Fortea is known for his books on exorcism, including “Memoirs of an Exorcist,” and “Summa Daemoniaca.”

The Emeritus Archbishop of Guadalajara said that people need to become aware “of the seriousness of the situation that we live in Mexico, which has very deep roots, beyond human evil, which is the devil, who is closely connected with death and has been a murderer from the very beginning.”

High-Profile Rome Exorcist: ‘ISIS is Satan’

In a recent Facebook post, well-known Roman exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth said the Islamic State (ISIS) “is Satan,” and he also questioned the lack of response from Western nations.

“ISIS is Satan. Things first happen in the spiritual realms, then they are made concrete on this earth,” he said in an April 8 post on the social media website.

Father Amorth continued, “there are only two spiritual realms: The Holy Spirit and the demonic spirit.”

He said the demonic enters in “because evil is disguised in various ways: political, religious, cultural, and it has one source of inspiration: the devil. As a Christian I fight the beast spiritually.”

“The political world, which today seems to lack a response in face of the massacre of Christians, will also have to fight ISIS and it will do it in a different way. If it advances as it seems to be doing, we ask ourselves what has the West done over the course of the last decades.”

The priest, who founded the International Association of Exorcists, explained that Satan “keeps saying that the world is in his power, and what he says is true. Biblically speaking we are in the last days and the beast is working furiously.”

ISIS took control of the largest Christian city in Iraq, Qaraqosh, in August last year, causing tens of thousands of people to flee.

The terrorist group has persecuted and murdered Christians and other religious minorities in parts of Syria and Iraq.

Fr. Amorth, age 90, has performed over 70,000 exorcisms during the past 29 years. The number is so high because carrying out an exorcism can require multiple sessions and each time the rite is administered it is counted as one instance.

Fr. Amorth has previously spoken about the danger posed by people no longer believing in the devil, as well as a shortage of exorcists.

Priest Warns of ‘Yoga Dangers’

በሚከተለው አመለካከት ሙሉ በሙሉ እስማማለሁ። “ዮጋ” ሲባል በቃ ዘመናዊ ነገር፡ ለጤናና ለደኽንነት የሚጠቅመን ሰውነታችንን ዘና ማድረጊያ መንገድ መስሎ ይታየናል። ይህ ትልቅ ስሕተት ነው! ዮጋ፡ ከሂንዱ አምልኮት የፈለቀ ወደ ሂንዱ አማልክት (ብዙ ናቸው) ወደ ባዕዳውያን መናፍስት የሚወስድና አደገኛ የሆነ “የማጥመቂያ” መንገድ ነው። አዲስና ዘመናዊ ነገርም አይደለም፡ በጣዖት አምላኪዎች ዘንድ ለዘመናት ሲተገበር የቆየ አሳሳች ተለምዶ እንጂ። ሊገርመን ይችላል፡ ግን በተለይ ቅንጭላትንን በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ላልታጠቡ እጆች አሳልፈን በመስጠት ማሳሸት አደገኛ መሆኑን በቅርብ ከማውቃቸው ሰዎች የተገነዘብኩት ነው። በአገራችንም ቢሆን፡ በክርስቶስ ስም የተጠመቅን የእግዚአብሔር ልጆች ቅንጭላታችንን ቅቤ ባንቀባ እንዲሁም ለ “ጥቁር” ሕዝቦች ብቻ ተብለው የሚሸጡትን ቅባተቅባታት አዘውትርን ከመቀባት ብንቆጠብ ሸጋ ነው።

A Derry priest has warned parishioners against taking part in yoga and having Indian head massages.

Fr. Roland Colhoun, who is based in the Waterside, issued caution when saying mass in Drumsurn two Sundays ago, when he says he was drafted in at short notice. He said his sermon was based on the devil and exorcism.

“I mentioned a number of things that are part of the new age movement. It’s so embedded in our culture now that it has gained a kind of a respectability, but the new age practices, they’re certainly not good for us and the Church is very concerned about people employing them and has written specific documents on the new age movement. There is a great body of research (theological, spiritual and physiological) already done on it.”

Fr. Colhoun said he mentioned yoga and Indian head massage. “The Indian head massage, while I haven’t done a great study into it, the difficulty is that it involves the laying on of hands on another person’s head. There is a risk when you do that because that is a rite we use in the sacramental practice for the communication of the Holy Spirit in baptism and confirmation, and ordination as well,” said Fr Colhoun, “but if you do that outside of a sacramental rite you’re running the risk of communicating a bad spirit, not the Holy Spirit.”

Regarding yoga, Fr. Colhoun said the medical journals have taken great interest in yoga and the case studies of yoga practitioners who gained injuries and long term disabilities.

“Pope Francis said ‘do not seek spiritual answers in yoga classes’. Yoga is certainly a risk. There’s the spiritual health risk. When you take up those practices from other cultures, which are outside our Christian domain, you don’t know what you are opening yourself up to. The bad spirit can be communicated in a variety of ways. I’m not saying everyone gets it, or that it happens every time, and people may well be doing yoga harmlessly, but there‘s always a risk and that’s why the Pope mentioned it and that’s why we talk about that in terms of the danger of the new age movement and the danger of the occult today. That’s the fear.”

Fr. Colhoun said yoga or Indian head massage “don’t have their origins in Christianity”.

“There is definitely power from them, but where it’s from the Church is nervous and that’s why it fits into the sermon on the devil,” said Fr Colhoun who accepts some people may be bemused by his comments, but said: “I would refer people to the evidence. The Church documents are written on it. It’s not an exhaustive study as the new age movement keeps changing. The documents give great caution about their practices.”
