ያኔ ቱርኮች በኦርቶዶክስ ግሪካውያን ላይ የፈጸሙትን ዲያብሎሳዊ የዘር ማጥፋት ስልትና ዘዴ ነው ዛሬ ጋላ-ኦሮሞዎቹ ወኪሎቻቸው በአክሱም ኢትዮጵያውያን ላይ እንዲፈጽሙ የተደረጉት። አዎ! ግራኝ አህመድ ቀዳማዊ የተጠቀማቸውን ስልቶችና ዘዴዎች ነው አረመኔ ልጆቹ እነ ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ ኢሳያስ አፈወርቂ/አብደላ-ሃሰን፣ ደመቀ መኮንን ሀሰን እና ጌታቸው ረዳ በትግራይ የተጠቀሙት።

በድጋሚ “ለምርጫ” በመወዳደር ላይ ያለው፤ የግራኝ ሞግዚትና የቱርኩ መሪ ኤርዶጋን እጣ ፈንታ ምን ይሆን? ያም ሆነ ይህ እንደ እስላም ነብዩ መሀመድ ገሃነም እሳት ይጠብቀዋል።

👉 እነዚህን ቱርኮች የተጠቀሟቸውን ዲያብሎሳዊ ስልቶች በጥሞና እንታዘባቸው፦

ያኔ በግሪክ ‘ቺዎስ እልቂት’ ወቅት ወጣት ሴቶች፣ ወንድ እና ሴት ልጆች ተፈላጊ ስለሆኑና ዋጋ ስላላቸው በህይወት ተወስደው በባርነት ቱርክ ወደያዘው መኻል አገር ይላካሉ። (አፈወርቂ እንደሚያደረገው)

በ1042-1048 በቆስጠንጢኖስ ሞናማከስ በተመሠረተውና በተራሮች ላይ ወደሚገኘው የባይዛንታይን ኒያ ሞኒ ገዳም ወደ 2,000 የሚሆኑ ሴቶች ፣ ሕፃናት እና ካህናት መጠለያ ፈልገው ሄዱ። በመጨረሻም የኒያ ሞኒ ገዳም በሮች ተከፈቱ እና ሕንፃው ሲቃጠል በውስጡ ያሉት ክርስቲያኖች ሁሉ ታረዱ ወይም ተቃጠሉ ፥ የብዙዎቹ የራስ ቅላቸው እና አጥንቶቻቸው እስከ ዛሬ በገዳሙ ውስጥ ይታያሉ።

ብዙ ሴቶች በአረመኔ ቱርኮች እጅ ከመውደቅ ይልቅ ጨቅላ ሕፃናትን በእጃቸው ይዘው ከገደል ላይ እየዘለሉ ራሳቸውን አጠፉ። ዋይ! ዋይ! ዋይ! የሚመክራቸው ብዙ ወገን በጠፋበት በዛሬው ወቅት የእኛዎቹ ሴቶች ዛሬ ኢትዮጵያውያንን ከማገልገል ይልቅ ወደ አረብ አገር ሲዖል በፈቃዳቸው ሄደው እራሳቸውን ከፎቅ ላይ መጣሉን መርጠዋል።

በአስር ሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ በሕይወት የተረፉ ሰዎች የቺያን ዲያስፖራ ተብሎ የሚጠራው አካል ለመሆን በመላው አውሮፓ በስደት ተበትነዋል።

ከመቶ ሰላሳ ዓመታት በፊት በእነ ምንሊክ ዳግማዊ መሪነት ተጠናክሮ እስከ ዛሬው ዕለት ድረስ በአክሱም ጽዮናውያን ላይ እየተፈመ ያለው የአጋንንቱ ጥቃት የመጨረሻው ነው። የምንሊክ የመጨረሻው ትውልድ የሆኑት የሻዕቢያ/ህወሓት/የኢሕአዴግ/ኦነግ/ብልጽግና/ኢዜማ/አብን/ቄሮ/ፋኖ/ አጋንንት እስካሁኗ ሰዓት ድረስ እርበርስ የተጣሉ መስለው ግን በጋራ አክሱም ጽዮናውያንን አፍነው በመግደል፣ በማስራብ፣ በማሳደድና በመድፈር ላይ ናቸው። ከጥቂት ዓመታት በፊት የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚዎቹን ቱርኮችን ወደ ውቕሮ በማምጣት ‘አል-ነጃሽ’ የተሰኘውን የጣዖት ማምለኪያ መስጊድ ያሠሩት ሕወሓቶች/ኢሕአዴጎች ከሁለት ዓመት በፊት የዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነቱን እንደ አላዲን ኩራዛቸውን እያሻሹ ወደ አክሱም ጽዮን ስበው አመጡት። ከዚያም ጭፍጨፋውና አፈናው ተጀመረ። እንደ ‘እድል’ሆኖ ወደ ሱዳን ለመውጣት የበቁትን ወገኖቻችንን በሰፈሩበት ቦታ ጂኒው ይከተላቸው ዘንድ የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚዎቹን ቱርኮች “ድንኳን ይሠሩላችኋል፤ ተመልከቱ ቱርኮች ደጎች ናቸው” በሚል ተጨማሪ የወንጀል ተግባር ቱርኮችን ወደ ሱዳን ጠሯቸው። ወገኖቻችን ዛሬም በሱዳን በከፍተኛ ስቃይ ላይ ይገኛሉ።

በምዕራባውያኑ ኤዶማውያን፣ በምስራቃውያኑ እስማኤላውያንና የሚመራውና በወኪሎቻቸው ጋላ-ኦሮሞዎች ለአምስት መቶ/መቶ ሃምሳ /ሃምሳ/አምስት ዓመታት በመካሄድ ላይ ያለው ይህ የዘር ማጥፋት ጂሃድ የምንሊክ የመጨረሻው ትውልድ ትርፍራዊዎች ከሆኑት ከሻዕቢያ/ህወሓት/የኢሕአዴግ/ኦነግ/ብልጽግና/ኢዜማ/አብን/ቄሮ/ፋኖ/ ጋር ለአንዴና ለመጨረሻ ጊዜ ያከትም ዘንድ ግድ ነው። የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚዎቹ ወደ ገሃነም እሳት ከበግባት ውጭ ሌላ ምንም ማድረግ አይችሉም።

አክሱም ጽዮናዊው ሕዝባችን ለተቀሩት ኢትዮጵያውያን ብቻ ሳይሆን ለአፍሪቃ እና ለመላዋ ዓለም ነው እጅግ በጣም ከፍተኛ ዋጋ እየከፍሉ እስከዚህ ዘመን ድረስ የዘለቁት። ሃያ ስምንት ጥንታውያን የኢትዮጵያ ነገድችንና ጎሳዎችን ከምድረ ገጽ ያጠፋው ጋላ-ኦሮሞ ከኤዶማውያኑ እና እስማኤላውያኑ ባዕዳውያን ጋር ሆኖ እስከ ስልሳ ሚሊየን አክሱም ጽዮናውያንን ባለፉት መቶ ሃምሳ ዓመታት ብቻ ጨፍጭፏል። አሁን ግን በዚህ አይቀጥልም፤ የአክሱማዊቷ ኢትዮጵያ የበላይነትና አምባገነንት ይመጣ ዘንድ ግድ ነው። ይህን ሁሉ ግፍን መከራ በሕዝባችን ላይ ያመጣ ሁሉ ከሃገረ ኢትዮጵያ ይጠረግ ዘንድ ግድ ነው።

☪ The Chios Massacre : The Worst Atrocity Committed by the Ottoman Turks

The Chios massacre of 1822 was perhaps the worst atrocity committed by the Ottomans against Greeks during the Greek War of Independence.

Approximately three-quarters of the population of 120,000 were killed, enslaved, or died of disease after thousands of Turkish troops landed on the eastern Aegean island to end a rebellion against Ottoman rule.

One of history’s most tragic and comprehensive acts of genocide takes place on the island of Chios in 1822. The Greek War of Independence begins in 1821. But the Orthodox population of peaceful and prosperous Chios, lying just off the coast of Turkey, finds itself caught between the competing nationalist ambitions of the old Turkish Ottoman Empire and the fledgling new state of Greece. A year later, during the Massacres around 20,000 islanders are hanged, butchered, starved or tortured to death. Untold thousands more are raped, deported and enslaved. The Greek word katastrofi – also meaning ‘destruction’ and ‘ruin’ – is usually used to describe these events.

The island itself is devastated In addition to setting fires, the troops were ordered to kill all infants under three years old, all males 12 years and older, and all females 40 and older except those willing to convert to Islam.

Those too old or too young to run for cover in the hills are murdered in their homes while about 15,000 Turkish and Samian troops are killed in clashes. Corpses fill the streets and clog the harbor. When they can find no more Christians to kill, any Christian buildings, farms, churches or monasteries are burnt or destroyed.

However, young women, boys and girls are taken alive for their value as slaves and shipped to the mainland.

Around 2,000 women, children and priests seek sanctuary in the Byzantine Nea Moni monastery in the mountains – founded by Constantine Monamacus in 1042-1048. Eventually the doors to Nea Moni burst open and all inside are slaughtered or burnt alive when the building is set on fire – many of their skulls and bones being displayed to this day at the monastery.

Rather than fall into the hands of the Turks, many women commit mass suicide by jumping from the cliffs with infants in their arms.

Tens of thousands of survivors dispersed throughout Europe to become part of what would become known as the Chian Diaspora.

A horrified Europe responds to the atrocity with shock

During the year 1822, European capitals were inundated with reports about a massacre of the Christian population of Chios. The island, a few kilometres from the mainland of Asia Minor in the eastern Aegean, and the supposed birthplace of the ancient poet Homer, had become the scene of one of the bloodiest episodes of the Greek War of Independence. At the time, Greece belonged to the Ottoman Empire.

The massacre shocked Europe, and protesters highlighted the atrocity with many famous artists dedicating works to this heinous event.

One of the greatest works of the great French painter Eugene Delacroix was a depiction of the Massacre of Chios, the purpose of which was to raise awareness throughout Europe of the horrors and atrocities committed by the Ottomans on the island. Furthermore, Victor Hugo’s poem about the massacre also highlights the brutality suffered at the hands of the Ottomans.

500 years ago the Ottoman Turks, together with the Somalis and Oromos of Africa massacred more than three million African Christians of Ethiopia. 300 years later, the Turks slaughtered as many as 1.5 million Armenians in the #ArmenianGenocide. Today, the Turks massacred Armenians in Azeirbajan, they even travelled accross Africa to work together with their natural allies — Somalis and Oromos– and are again bombing and starving to death millions of ancient African Christians of Ethiopia in the # TigrayGenocide.

How The Fascist Oromo regime of Ethiopia used a Turkish drone in a strike that killed nearly 60 civilians

On 7 January 2022 (Orthodox Christmas), shortly after midnight,Turkish Drones carried out an airstrike on a camp for internally displaced people in the town of Dedebit, in the Tieggrai Region of Ethiopia. Hundreds of hungry people made homeless by the war in Ethiopia — mostly women, children and elderly men — slept on a cramped floor in an empty school with a tin roof.

With a flash in the dark, the building and the grounds around it were struck by drone-delivered bombs, killing at least 59 people and gravely injuring dozens more, according to an aid worker whose organization worked at the camp for internally displaced people in Dedebit and analyses of satellite images of the impact sites. He and other aid workers at the camp, located in the northern Ethiopian region of Tieggrai, were adamant: The people killed and wounded were civilians fleeing the war, not combatants in it.

The Washington Post analyzed photos of shrapnel and satellite imagery and cross-referenced video of the aftermath to confirm that Turkish-made precision-guided munitions were used in the strike, which took place in the early hours of Jan. 7. The Ethiopian military is the only party in the conflict known to have access to armed drones.

The use of a precision-guided weapon in the strike in Dedebit raises questions about the Ethiopian government’s targets, which internal documents at aid organizations say have hit not just this camp, but also other locations far from the battlefield, including a flour mill, a public bus, farms, hotels and busy markets.

Those documents, which were shared with The Washington Post, say more than 300 civilians have been killed by drone and airstrikes since last September, including more than 100 since the start of this year. Those deaths represent a fraction of the thousands who are estimated to have died in the conflict and more than 4 million others, in Tieggrai and neighboring regions, who face a humanitarian crisis.

Expert witnesses

Wim Zwijnenburg, project leader of humanitarian disarmament at PAX, which identified the MAM-L weapon, said Turkey could not wash its hands of the matter.

“There is a very strong case to make that these drones should never have been exported at all,” he said, noting that Turkey is a signatory to the U.N.’s arms trade treaty, which stipulates a risk assessment should be done on the potential of human harm before a sale is carried out. (While Turkey signed the pact in 2013, it has not ratified it.)

Zwijnenburg also stressed the need for information on the potential involvement of Turkish personnel in the deployment of the weapons.

“Because this is technology that requires a lot of maintenance and piloting, Turkey could be made directly responsible if there is a consistent pattern of drone strikes used against civilians and Turkish crew is on the ground doing maintenance on the drones,” he said.

ምስራቃውያኑ እስማኤላውያን አረቦች፣ ቱርኮች፣ ኢራኖች፣ ሶማሌዎች፣ ሱዳኖችና ቤን አሚሮች እንዲሁም ኤዶማውያኑ ምዕራባውያን ሁሉ የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚዎች መሆናቸውን እናውቃለን፣ በእኛ መኻል ያሉትም የዋቄዮ-አላህ-ሉሲፈር ጭፍሮች የሆኑት ጋላ-ኦሮሞዎችና ኦሮማራዎችም ምን ያህል ከሃዲ እርጉሞች፣ አረመኔዎችና ጨካኞች እንደሆኑ ተረድተናል።

ግን በተለይ አምና ልክ በዚህ ወቅት የታየኝ፣ እጅግ በጣም ያሳዘነኝና ያስቆጣኝ የ “ሕወሓቶች” ከባዕዳውያኑ የዋቄዮ-አላህ-ሉሲፈር ጭፍሮች ያልተናነሰ የክህደት፣ አረመኔነትና ጭካኔ ማንነታቸው ነው። በደንብ ግልጽ ሆኖ ነበር የታየኝ። በወቅቱ፤ “ሕወሓቶች” የሉሲፈርን/ቻይናን ባንዲራ በተከበረው የአክሱም ጽዮን ቤተ መቅደስ ላይ በኅዳር ጽዮን ዕለት የሰቀሉ ቀን አብቅቶላቸዋል” ብዬ ነበር።

በዚያው ወቅት “ስለ ደብረ ጽዮን የሆነ ነገር ታይቶኛል፣ በጸሎት መጽሐፌ ውስጥ ስሙን ሳነብም የመጣልኝ ነገር አለ ” ከማለት ሌላ ብዙም አልጻፍኩም ነበር። ነገር አሁን እናገረው ዘንድ ግድ ነው፤ ስለ ደብረ ጽዮን በታየኝ ራዕይ ላይ ይህ ግለሰብ ከግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ እና ኢሳያስ አፈወርቂ ባልተናነሰ አረመኔ የሰይጣን ቁራጭ መሆኑ ታውቆኛል።

እንዲያውም ወደ ኋላ ተመልሼ ደብረ ጽዮን የተባለውን ሰው ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ያየሁበትን ወቅት እንዳስታውስ አደረገኝ። አመቱ በፈረንጆች 2012 ነበር። ነፍሳቸውን ይማርላቸውና ጠቅላይ ሚንስትር መለስ ዜናዊና አቡነ ጳውሎስ ልክ እንዳረፉ ለጉብኝት አዲስ አበባ ተገኝቼ ነበር። በቀብር ስነ ሥር ዓቱ ወቅት ቴሌቪዥን ላይ ዘመዶቼን፤ “ይህ ብቅ ጥልቅ የሚለውና ክልስ የመሰለው ሰው ማን ነው?” ብዬ ጠየቅኳቸው። “ዶ/ር ደብረ ጽዮን” አሉኝ። እኔም፤ “ኦ ኦ ሌላ ዶ/ር?” በማለት እነ መለሰን የገደሏቸው ባራክ ሁሴን ኦባማ + ሸህ አላሙዲን እና የግብጹ ፕሬዚደንት መሀመድ ሙርሲ መሆናቸውን ባካባቢያችን ያሉት ሰዎች ሁሉ እስኪርበደበዱ በጩኸት ተናገርኩ። በማከልም፤ “በእነ መለስ ዜናዊ ላይ መፈንቅለ መንግስት ነው የተካሄደው፤ ስልጣኑንም ደመቀ መኮነን ሀሰን ለተሰኘው የአረቦች ወኪል ሊያስረክቡት ነው!” አልኩ በድፍረት። ይህ እንግዲህ ከአስራ አንድ ዓመታት በፊት መሆኑ ነው። ታዲያ አሁን ይህ አይደለምን የተከሰተው?! በደንብ እንጅ! በወቅቱ አይታወቅምና ያላካተትኩት የጋላ-ኦሮሞውን ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድን እንዲሁም የሕወሓቶችን ተሳትፎ ነው። ዛሬ መናገር እችላለሁ ከእነ ኦባማ ጎን እነ መለስ ዜናዊን ያስወገዷቸው እነ ደመቀ መኮንን፣ ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ፣ ኦቦ ስብሐት ነጋ እና ደብረ ጽዮን ናቸው።

ከአንድ አክሱም ጽዮናዊ ተቆርቋሪ ሆኜ ስናገር ጠቅላይ ሚንስትር መለስ ዜናዊ በመጀመሪያዎቹ የስልጣን ዘመናቸው ተገቢ ያልሆኑ ስህተቶችን ሰርተዋል፤ ለምሳሌ ሉሲፈራውያኑ የሰጧቸውን ‘ሕገ መንግስት’ ቶሎ ቀዳደው በመጣል አግባብ የሌላቸውን “ሶማሌ” + “ኦሮሞ” + “አማራ” የተሰኙ ክልሎች ባጭር ጊዜ ባለማፈራረሳቸው። ሌላው የሠሩት ከባድ ስህተትና ወንጀል የሉሲፈራውያኑን ስክሪፕት ተከትለው “ባድሜ” በተባለው ቦታ ላይ ሰሜናውያኑ ክርስቲያኖች በብዛት እንዲረግፉ ማድረጋቸው ነው። በወቅቱ እኔ ገና ትምህርት ቤት እያለሁ ‘የባድሜው ጦርነት’ የሉሲፈራውያኑ ሤራ መሆኑን፣ ከአረቦችና ቱርኮች ጋር እየታየ ያለው ጥብቅ ግኑኝነት መወገድ እንዳለበት በደብዳቤ መልክ ከውጭ አገር ሆኜ ጽፌላቸው ነበር።

የሆነ ወቅት ላይ መለስ ዜናዊ መንቃት ጀምረውና በዚህ ስህተታቸው ተጸጽተው የሕዳሴውን ግድብ ሥራ ለማስጀመር ወሰኑ፤ እንደ ‘አል ጀዚራ’ የመሰሉ ሜዲያዎች ስለ ግድቡ ቃለ መጠይቅ አድርጎ ይመረምራቸው ጀመር። የእስራኤል ሜዲያዎች ሳይቀሩ እነዚህን ቃለ መጠይቆች እየመረመሩ የመለስ ዜናዊን አዲስ የሚታይ ኢትዮጵያዊ ብሔርተኝነት “በስጋት” መታዘብ ጀመሩ። ቪዲዮዎቹ በየቦታው አሉ።

እ.አ.አ በ2008 ዓ.ም ጠቅላይ ሚንስትር መለስ ዜናዊ ኢትዮጵያ ከዋሃቢ እስላሟ የኳታር አገር ጋር እንደሚያቋርጡ ትዕዛዝ ሰጡ፤ የአልጀዚራ ቴሌቪዥንም ከአዲስ አበባ እንዲባረርና የሳተላይት ስርጭቱም በኢትዮጵያ ግዛት እንዲታፈን/ጃም እንዲደረግ ተደረገ። ከቱርክም ጋር ግኑኝነቱ ይላላ ዘንድ ተወሰነ። እኔ በዚህ ውሳኔ በጣም ደስተኛ ነበርኩ።

ይህ ያላስደሰታቸው እነ ባራክ ሁሴን ኦባማ፣ አረቦች፣ ጋላ-ኦሮሞዎች፣ ኦሮማራዎች፣ ሻዕቢያዎችና ሕወሓቶች ጊዜውን ጠብቀው እ.አ.አ በ2012 ዓ.ም ላይ ጠቅላይ ሚንስትር መለስ ዜናዊንና አቡነ ጳውሎስን ገደሏቸው። ጠቅላይ ሚንስትር ለመሆን የበቃው ጠንጋራው ኃይለ ማርያም ደሳለኝ ልክ ቃለ ምሕላ እንደፈጸመ ያደረገው ከዋሃቢ እስላም አገር ከኳታር ጋር ተቋርጦ የነበረውን የዲፕሎማሲ ግኑኝነት እንደገና መጀመር ነበር። ኃይለ ማርያም የመጀመሪያውን ቃለ መጠየቅ የሰጠውም ለኳታሩ የአልጀዚራ ቴሌቪዥን ነበር።

ዋሃቢ ኳታርና የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚ ቱርክ በጣም ጥብቅ ወዳጆች ናቸው። በምዕራባውያን ባንኮች የድጎማ ገንዘብ ላይ በከባዱ ጥገኛ የሆነችው ቱርክ ተጨማሪ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ የምታገኘው ከኳታር ነው። እ.አ.አ 2015 ላይ ወስላታው የቱርክ መሪ ሬሲፕ ጣይብ ኤርዶጋን አዲስ አበባን እንዲጎበኝ ተደረገ።

2017 ዓ.ም ላይ የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚ ቱርክ ወደ ውቕሮ ትግራይ፤ ‘በእድሳት ስም’ ገብታ “አል-ነጃሺ” በተሰኘው ቤተ ሰይጣን/መስጊድ ሥር ጂኒዋን ትቀብር ዘንድ ሕወሓቶች ፈቀዱላት።

ከባድሜው ጦርነት አንስቶ ወደ አክሱም ጽዮን ግዛቶች እየገባ እንዲሰለጥን፣ እንዲሰልልና እንዲዘጋጅ የነበረው ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ ከአቴቴ ሚስቱ ጋር በትግራይ እንዲኖርና የሕዝበ ክርስቲያኑን መንፈሳዊ ማንነትና ምንነት እንዲሁም ስብዕና አጥንቶ አሁን ሁሉም በጋራ ለከፈቱበት የዘር ማጥፋት ጂሃድ እንዲዘጋጅ ያደረጉት ሕወሓቶችና ሻዕቢያዎች ናቸው። አዎ! አክሱም ጽዮናውያንን ይጨፈጭፍላቸው ዘንድ።

ከ፩ሚሊየን በላይ ኦርቶዶክስ ኢትዮጵያዊ አክሱም ጽዮናውያንን የጨረሰውንና በጋላ-ኦሮሞዎች የሚመራው የዘር ማጣፋት ዘመቻ ልክ እንደተጀመረ መቶ ሺህ የሚሆኑ ጽዮናውያን እንደምንም ሾልከው ወደ ሱዳን ተሰደዱ። ይህን እናስታውስ፤ ስደተኞቹ ወገኖቻችን ለተባበሩት መንግስታት የእርዳታ ተቋማት እጃቸውን ሲሰጡ፤ “ድንኳኖችን እሠራላችኋለሁ” ብላ ፈቃደኝነቷን ያሳየችውን የክርስቶስ ተቃዋሚ ቱርክ ናት። ከሃዲዎቹ ሕወሓቶችም ምስጋናቸውን ለቱርክ ሲያሳዩ ነበር። ቱርክ ግን እንደተለመደው ሕዝበ ክርስቲያኑን ለመበከልና ጂኒዎቿን ለማራገፍ ነው ድንኳን ለመትከል የወሰነችው።

የሱዳን ጠረፍ እንዲዘጋ እና በተከዜ ወንዝ ዙሪያ የብዙ ወገኖቻችን ሕይወት እንዲያልፍ የተደረገውም በሻዕቢያ፣ በሕወሓት፣ በብልጽግና/ኦነግ፣ በብዕዴንና በቅርቡ ከጽዮናዊው የጎንደር ግዛት ይጠረጉ ዘንድ ግድ በሚሆኑት ዲቃላ ኦሮማራዎች አማካኝነት ነው።

The United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, Denmark and the Netherlands cited reports by the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission and the rights group Amnesty International on widespread arrests of ethnic Tigrayans, including Orthodox priests, older people and mothers with children.

The countries said they are “profoundly concerned” about the detentions of people without charges, adding that the government’s announcement of a state of emergency last month offered “no justification” for mass detentions.

“Individuals are being arrested and detained without charges or a court hearing and are reportedly being held in inhumane conditions. Many of these acts likely constitute violations of international law and must cease immediately,” the six countries said in a joint statement.

They urged Ethiopia’s government to allow unhindered access by international monitors.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s spokesperson Billene Seyoum and Ethiopian government spokesperson Legesse Tulu did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the statement.
