Ethiopian Airlines Employees Are Fleeing The Country by Hiding in The Planes They Work On

Yohannes and Gebremeskel knew it would be freezing cold inside the bulk cargo area of the Airbus A350 plane on the long flight from Ethiopia’s capital to Belgium.

But the two ground technicians with Ethiopian Airlines, both of Tigrayan origin, said they felt a threat from the Ethiopian authorities that left them no choice but to stow away among crates of fresh flowers.

Both men said family members had been detained under sweeping emergency laws that have targeted ethnic Tigrayans — and that they feared it was their turn next. The laws were imposed in November as Ethiopian government troops battle forces from the northern Tigray region in a bitter conflict that has now dragged on for 14 months. The government denies the laws targeted any particular group and recently lifted the state of emergency.

So, in the early hours of December 4, Yohannes and Gebremeskel, both 25, made a spur of the moment decision to climb into the storage section of a converted Ethiopian Airlines cargo plane that was sitting in one of the hangars at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, waiting for the early morning flight to Brussels, Belgium.

As ground technicians with Ethiopia’s flagship commercial airline for the past five years, they had access to the compartment for routine inspection purposes. But if their hiding place was discovered, they would face harsh punishment, they said. CNN has changed both men’s names at their request for security reasons.

For more than three hours before take-off, they hid in the cold among the cabin crew’s luggage, not far away from the plane’s cargo shipment — crates loaded with roses ready to be delivered to Europe. 

“We took the risk. We were — we had no choice, we had no choice, we couldn’t live in Addis Ababa, we were being treated as terrorists,” Yohannes, who has now obtained asylum in Belgium, told CNN in one of several phone conversations.  

Four of his relatives have been killed, his fiancée is in prison in Ethiopia’s Afar region and his sister, about seven months pregnant, was seized from his house along with his furniture, he said. Yohannes believes these killings and detentions were motivated by their Tigrayan ethnicity and actioned under Ethiopia’s new emergency laws. “I don’t know where she [his fiancée] is currently,” he added. CNN has not been able to independently verify the deaths or imprisonment of Yohannes’ relatives.

A spokeswoman for the office of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed noted in an emailed statement to CNN that the state of emergency was lifted on January 26, 2022.

“You would note that the Council of Ministers have today decided to lift the State of Emergency. Individuals apprehended under the SOE [State of Emergency] have been released in great numbers, over the past weeks by the security sector, following investigations,” spokeswoman Billene Seyoum Woldeyes said.

“The SOE was never enacted to ‘persecute’ any group of people based on their identity,” she said.

The pair are not the only airline employees to attempt a risky escape from their home country in recent weeks. On December 1, shortly before Yohannes and Gebremeskel fled to Belgium, two other Ethiopian Airlines technicians concealed themselves in a passenger aircraft destined for Washington, DC, a spokesperson for the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed to CNN via an emailed statement.

They had concealed themselves in the ceiling space above the seating, according to a source at Ethiopian Airlines with firsthand knowledge of the internal investigation that was launched afterward.

Their journey would last more than 36 hours in total, as the plane flew from Addis Ababa via Lagos, Nigeria, and Dublin, Ireland, before finally landing at Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC.

Upon arrival in the US, the individuals were detained by the US Department of Homeland Security before later being transferred to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

CNN has also spoken to several other Tigrayan employees of Ethiopian Airlines who have fled Ethiopia in recent months through their jobs as flight crew. They told similar stories of widespread detentions of Tigrayans in Ethiopia and of targeted ethnic harassment from within the airline.

Concealed above plane crew’s bunk

CNN has been unable to speak directly to the stowaways who reached Washington, DC, but the source at Ethiopian Airlines said that both men were also of Tigrayan origin.

A CBP spokesperson said in a statement to CNN that after an identification and security examination, officers discovered the two “possessed Ethiopian Airlines employee identification cards, and that they stowed away with the intent of claiming asylum in the United States.”

“The two Ethiopian males are presently housed at a federal detention facility pending a hearing before an immigration judge,” the statement added. “CBP issued a civil penalty to Ethiopian Airlines for the security breach and were briefed on measures the airline is undertaking to enhance the airline’s aircraft security plan.”

CNN has obtained photos of the inside of the Boeing 777 aircraft as it looked during an inspection in the aftermath of the escape. In some pictures, it is possible to see the crew bunk in the center of the plane’s seating area, which the two men reportedly entered before lifting a mattress to reveal a maintenance access panel. 

The images indicate they then cut a larger hole in the panel to enable them to smuggle themselves through the gap into the plane’s ceiling. They hid in this spot, not far above the aircraft’s toilets, for over a day and a half. CNN showed Boeing the photographs and a Boeing representative deferred to Ethiopian Airlines for comment.

The source at the airline told CNN they believed the fact that the stowaways were former maintenance technicians for the airline enabled them to know exactly where to hide inside the plane to go undetected without damaging the structure of the aircraft. 

That they had the necessary tools with them to cut through the panelling might suggest the pair had planned the attempt in advance, the source at the airline added.

In total, 16 Ethiopian Airlines technicians appeared to have escaped via any possible means, either by boarding as cabin crew and walking off or stowing away, he said. CNN has been unable to independently verify this number.

For Yohannes and Gebremeskel, the decision to flee was an impromptu one, they said. They picked the first scheduled flight to a European country that was available and had to leave possessions including their cell phones behind in their lockers. 

For the whole of their seven-hour flight to Brussels, they sat in the cargo area of the Airbus A350 with no food, no water, in the freezing cold, unbeknownst to the other members of the crew on board.  

“I didn’t even have any clothes with me, I was wearing the uniform for maintenance […] I’m still wearing it,” Yohannes said.  

“We don’t have anything to change into here, no underwear, no shoes, even the shoes […] we tried to cover our feet and the legs with what we had, it was night shift, on night shift we have the jacket of Ethiopian Airlines crew,” Gebremeskel, who also obtained asylum in Belgium, told CNN.

It was not how Gebremeskel imagined he would experience his first trip out of Ethiopia. Despite working for five years at Ethiopian Airlines, he had never boarded an international flight. 

Airline employees claim discrimination against Tigrayans

Many people have left Ethiopia by land since the conflict began in November 2020. As of mid-December 2021, more than 50,000 people had fled into neighboring Sudan, according to UN figures. At the peak of the influx, “more than 1,000 people on average were arriving each day, overwhelming the capacity to provide aid,” a UN report said.

Meanwhile, attempts to leave Ethiopia by air by legal means have become increasingly difficult for Tigrayans, according to Ethiopian Airlines employees CNN spoke with.

Several attempted to leave by boarding planes from Addis Ababa’s Bole Airport as legitimate passengers but were denied access due to their Tigrayan ethnicity, they claimed. One former employee told CNN there were four checkpoints at the airport where passengers had their passports checked before departure.  

“They check place of birth and name,” they told CNN, recalling three of their own failed attempts to leave. If the person was born in Tigray or had a Tigrayan name they were denied exit from Ethiopia, the former employee said.

As a result, several employees told CNN they escaped by working on board international flights as flight crew and fleeing when the aircraft landed abroad, often when the destination was in Europe or the US.

CNN has obtained IDs that confirm the identities of all four men who stowed away. Flight paths of the two flights — the one to Brussels and the one from Addis to Dulles airport through Dublin — have also been crosschecked on FlightRadar24. 

Ethiopian Airlines has not responded to CNN’s request for comment regarding the stowaways’ journeys or the allegations of discrimination against Tigrayans.

This is not the first time Ethiopian Airlines has made headlines during the conflict in Ethiopia. In October last year CNN revealed that the airline had been ferrying weapons between Ethiopia and Eritrea at the outset of the conflict in November 2020, an act that was condemned by the international community as a potential violation of aviation law.

CNN’s investigation triggered calls by US lawmakers for sanctions and investigations into Ethiopia’s eligibility for a lucrative US trade program. Ethiopia was kicked out of the program over human rights violations at the start of 2022.

The airline has issued multiple denials about transporting weapons. 

‘We were shaking’

After the aircraft carrying Yohannes and Gebremeskel landed in Brussels, the two waited for their chance to reach the terminal building.  

“There were two guys working on the aircraft. One was unloading the cargo shipment and the other was coming with a torch around the plane,” Yohannes said. “So when the first was unloading the flowers we jumped to the ground — me and my friend — we jumped, and we ran to the terminal.”  

Inside, employees gave them water and something to eat, but Yohannes and Gebremeskel were still in shock. “We were afraid they were going to send us back […] The guards, they brought us tea, but we were kneeling down on the ground, we were shaking,” Yohannes added.  

Slowly, they felt a sense of relief, perhaps for the first time since they took off from Addis Ababa.

Their decision to flee had been prompted in part by reports that 38 Tigrayan security guards had been recently suspended at Bole Airport, meaning security was more lax than usual, they said.  

“We were afraid of course … Luckily, we were not found. If we had been found, the punishment would have been harsh.”

But NISS, Ethiopia’s national intelligence security service, was still searching every part of the aircraft before departure, Gebremeskel explained, in order to prevent escapes. The Ethiopian Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Billene Seyoum, did not comment on these allegations.

“We had some tools with us, we were afraid they were going to catch us because they check — the guy from the national intelligence security service checks every flight before departure,” Gebremeskel said.  

“We were afraid of course. We were sitting with some tools with us. Maybe they will come to check that we’re working on it. Luckily, we were not found. If we had been found, the punishment would have been harsh.” 

Yohannes hopes that in Belgium, he will find a country that will “respect my demands, the right to life.”

Pieter-Jan De Block, their lawyer, confirmed in a statement to CNN that both his clients had “obtained international protection in Belgium” and that they’d been released from the center where they were staying. 

For Gebremeskel, the picture is bittersweet. With his family still far away — his parents are in a refugee camp in Sudan — and no money or job in Belgium, life is not easy. Although he has accommodation now, his first two nights after being granted asylum were spent sleeping at a train station.

He told CNN he hoped one day to return to Ethiopia but that until the country is a place where “people aren’t treated differently for their ethnicity,” that hope feels very remote.

She Was in Abiy Ahmed’s Cabinet as War Broke Out. Now She Wants to Set The Record Straight.

Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed took a sizable risk when he chose her as the youngest minister in his cabinet: Filsan Abdi was an outspoken activist from the country’s marginalized Somali community with no government experience. She was just 28.

Like so many, she was drawn by Abiy’s pledges to build a new Ethiopia, free of the bloody ethnic rifts of the past — overtures that built Abiy’s global reputation as an honest broker and helped win him a Nobel Peace Prize.

Then the opposite happened.

Less than a year into her tenure, Ethiopia was spiraling into an ethnically tinged civil war that would engulf the northern part of the country — Africa’s second most populous — and as the head of the ministry overseeing women’s and children’s issues, Filsan found herself tasked with documenting some of the war’s most horrific aspects: mass rapes by uniformed men and the recruitment of child soldiers.

In September, she became the only cabinet minister to resign over Abiy’s handling of the war.

This week, Filsan, now 30, broke her public silence in a lengthy, exclusive interview with The Washington Post, in which she told of cabinet discussions in the lead-up to the war, official efforts to suppress her ministry’s findings about abuses by the government and its allies, and the resurgent ethnic divisions fracturing the country.

A spokeswoman for Abiy declined to comment on Filsan’s recollections.

“The war has polarized the country so deeply that I know many people will label me as a liar simply because I say the government has also done painful, horrible things,” Filsan said. “I am not saying it was only them. But I was there. I was in cabinet meetings, and I went and met victims. Who can tell me what I did and did not see?”

Disputed story lines

In the 14 months since Ethiopia’s war began, the world has largely relied on the scant access the government has granted to a handful of journalists and humanitarians for any kind of independent reporting. Tigray, Ethiopia’s northernmost region, where the war had been contained until June, has been subjected to a near-total communications blockade since fighting began in November 2020.

In the information vacuum, a propaganda war has flourished alongside the very real fighting that has claimed thousands of lives, and even the most basic story lines of the war are hotly contested.

Who started it? Who carried out the atrocities — massacres, summary executions, intentional starvation, mass rapes, hospital lootings, the arming of children — that people from across northern Ethiopia have recounted, either in their ransacked villages or in refugee camps? Is ethnic cleansing underway? Is Ethiopia’s government winning or losing the war?

In January, Abiy prematurely answered the last question by declaring the war over. He brought a group of ministers including Filsan to Tigray’s capital, Mekelle, which government troops had taken over from the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, a well-armed regional political party resented elsewhere in Ethiopia for its outsize role in the repressive government that ran the country for three decades before Abiy’s ascendance.

Abiy accuses the TPLF of instigating the war with an attack on a military base, in which Tigrayan soldiers killed scores of non-Tigrayan soldiers. TPLF leaders say they were defending themselves. In any case, the conflict quickly metastasized, drawing in ethnic militias and the army of neighboring Eritrea.

In Tigray, Filsan was told to create a task force that would investigate widespread claims of rape and recruitment of child soldiers.

“We brought back the most painful stories, and every side was implicated,” she recalled. “But when I wanted to release our findings, I was told that I was crossing a line. ‘You can’t do that,’ is what an official very high up in Abiy’s office called and told me. And I said, ‘You asked me to find the truth, not to do a propaganda operation. I am not trying to bring down the government — there is a huge rape crisis for God’s sake. Child soldiers are being recruited by both sides. I have the evidence on my desk in front of me.’ ”

Filsan said she was told to revise the report to say that only TPLF-aligned fighters had committed crimes. And when her subordinates at the ministry wouldn’t release the full report, she chose to tweet that “rape has taken place conclusively and without a doubt” in Tigray.

Since then, even her childhood friends have shied away from being seen with her, fearful of the association. Colleagues in the ministry referred to her as a “protector of Tigrayans,” she said — implying that she was a traitor.

The task force’s conclusions have since been echoed by a slew of reports by human rights organizations, which have done interviews either with refugees or by phone because of access restrictions. A joint report written by the United Nations and Ethiopia’s state-appointed human rights agencies also found evidence that all sides in the war had “committed violations of international human rights, humanitarian and refugee law, some of which may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

Widespread allegations of crimes committed by Tigrayan rebels have piled up since June, when the force surged south into the neighboring Amhara and Afar regions, pushing back government troops and aligned militias and displacing hundreds of thousands of civilians. The five-month onslaught was recently reversed when the rebels retreated to within the borders of Tigray.

Filsan argues that the Ethiopian government could have avoided the wave of revenge rapes and massacres of the past months.

“If there had been accountability for the rapes that took place in Tigray, do you think so many rapes would have happened in Amhara and Afar? No,” she said. “Justice helps stop the cycle. But both sides felt they could just get away with it.”

‘Yes, I know the pain, too’

As the pendulum of momentum swings back and forth in the war, and a total victory seems more and more elusive, Abiy’s tone has shifted from the relatively straightforward anti-insurgency rhetoric of late last year to calling the war an existential battle against a “cancer” that has grown in the country.

In his and other official statements, the line between the stated enemy — the TPLF — and Tigrayans in general has increasingly blurred. And under a state of emergency imposed in November, Tigrayans around the country allege, thousands of their community members have been arbitrarily detained. Tigrayans crossing the border into Sudan recently recounted fleeing a final stage of what they say is ethnic cleansing in an area of Tigray claimed by the Amhara people.

Filsan recalled that before she resigned, she had been told first by a high-ranking official in Abiy’s Prosperity Party and then by an official in his personal office that all Tigrayans on her staff — and at other ministries, too — were to be placed on leave immediately.

“I said, ‘I won’t do it unless the prime minister calls me himself, or you put it in writing,’ ” she said, adding that subordinates of hers enforced the order anyway. “Many Ethiopians are lying to themselves. They deny that an ethnic element has become a major part of this war. They have stopped seeing the difference between Tigrayan people and the TPLF, even if many Tigrayans don’t support the TPLF.”

When she resigned in September, Abiy told her to postpone her decision for six months, claiming that the war was nearing its conclusion. But by then, she had lost trust in him. Even before the war, in cabinet meetings, Abiy had repeatedly implied that a conflict was coming and that the TPLF would be to blame for it, Filsan said. But she felt that peace had never really been given a chance, and that Abiy seemed to relish the idea of eliminating the TPLF, even though crushing dissent through brute force was a page right out of the TPLF’s playbook.

“It’s now been 100 days since the day we met, and it has only gotten worse. I knew it then, I knew it before then, and I know it now: He’s in denial, he’s delusional. His leadership is failing,” said Filsan.

The feeling that she was being drawn into the same ideology of ethnic domination that the TPLF had espoused when it presided over the country was hard to shake. As a Somali, she came from a community that had been trampled during those decades, and earlier, too, under communists and kings alike. Uncles of hers had been dragged from their beds and beaten; women she knew had to wear diapers after having been raped by soldiers; children were taught to kneel and put their hands up if confronted by a man in uniform.

“So, yes, I know the pain, too, I know the reasons people want revenge. But if we don’t back away from it, we are doomed,” she said. “One day we will wake up from this nightmare and have to ask ourselves: How will we live with the choices we made?”

Frantic peace efforts are being rebuffed by both sides in the year-long civil war.

Foreign governments this week urged their citizens not to travel to Ethiopia and to escape the country as soon as possible if they were there, as Tigrayan rebel forces advanced rapidly on the capital, Addis Ababa. Some countries began evacuating their diplomats.

Rumours intensified that the city could fall within days or even hours, bringing to a dramatic and possibly even deadlier close an already bloody civil war between the federal government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), which has raged for just on a year as at 3 November.

Desperate but defiant, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed – ironically the winner of the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize – fobbed off peace envoys, declared a state of emergency and urged residents of the capital to arm themselves to repel the Tigrayan forces if they reached the city – an implicit acknowledgment that his own Ethiopian National Defence Force (ENDF) was not up to the challenge of defending the capital.

The US bluntly advised its nationals: “Do not travel to Ethiopia due to armed conflict…” and gave its nonemergency officials permission to leave. Its practical advice to those US citizens who opted to remain included “draft a will” and “leave DNA samples with your medical provider…” The UK and other governments also advised their nationals to get out or not to visit.

But Ethiopia’s ambassador to South Africa, Shiferaw Menbacho, speaking from Addis Ababa, contemptuously dismissed the rumours of an imminent fall of the capital. “The empty wish declares the final burial ceremony of the rebel group,” he said.

The ENDF had marched triumphantly into Ethiopia’s northern Tigray province in November last year and captured the provincial capital Mekelle from rebelling TPLF forces – with the important support of the invading Eritrean Defence Force. Abiy intended a brief war to restore federal authority. But the TPLF retreated to the mountains and fought back. And over the past few months, now allied with the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) from Abiy’s own province, Oromia, it has dramatically turned the tide of war, driving the Ethiopians and Eritreans back and advancing to within 300km of Addis Ababa.

Diplomatic efforts to establish a ceasefire seem to be failing as both sides still seem to believe they can win the war. The African Union’s special envoy, former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, and US President Joe Biden’s special envoy for the Horn of Africa, Jeffrey Feltman, are in Addis Ababa, urging peace. Obasanjo declined DM168’s request for comment on his progress.

This week Feltman told journalists in a phone briefing from Washington that: “Without question the situation is getting worse, and we’re – frankly, alarmed by the situation… There has been insufficient access to Tigray since late June, early July.” He said the UN estimated that only about 13% of humanitarian needs to the federal state of Tigray have been met. There were several reasons for that, including the fighting. “But it’s mostly government restrictions … that have prevented the type of humanitarian access from getting to the people of Tigray, and we see signs of famine and near-famine conditions.

“There are over five million people in conditions of food insecurity now whose needs could be addressed if the government would allow the assistance to flow. And at the same time, you see the TPLF … has moved out of Tigray, south into Amhara, [has] taken strategic cities of Dessie and Kombolcha…

“So we’re calling on all parties to this conflict to find ways to de-escalate the situation, allow the humanitarian access to flow to those in need … and move toward a negotiated ceasefire. The situation is dire, and as I said, it is getting worse…”

Will Davison, Ethiopia expert at the International Crisis Group (ICG), told DM168 that he thought Addis Ababa was more likely to fall within a few weeks rather than a few days, as he believed the Tigrayan forces would first try to capture the corridor from Addis Ababa to Djibouti, Ethiopia’s vital access to the sea. “But who knows? Things are moving very fast these days,” he added.

Davison emphasised that such chances as there were, at this late stage, of stopping the Tigrayan advance on Addis Ababa depended on Abiy’s federal government making some concessions to the Tigrayans.

The most important concession would be to end the blockade on Tigray. “So the restoration of services, banking and telecommunications, electricity. And the facilitation of aid to alleviate humanitarian conditions. That would by no means solve all the problems. But it could be a way to get some initial cooperation by the Tigray leadership to stop their advance, particularly its advance towards Addis Ababa.”

But Davison suggested Feltman and Obasanjo faced an uphill struggle.

It wasn’t helpful for the US simply to call on the Tigrayans to halt their advance, as Washington did last weekend. “That’s not going to have any effect.”

On the other hand, there were no signs that Abiy and his allies were ready to make the kind of concessions to the Tigrayans he believed were necessary to persuade them to stop their advance.

Abiy’s call on Addis Ababa residents to take up arms could be very bloody for civilians – if the call was answered, which Davison was not sure would happen. Though there was clearly a lot of opposition to the TPLF and the OLA, it was not clear that it would translate into effective popular resistance in Addis Ababa.

And even if it did, the Tigrayans had simply rolled over popular resistance before and kept on advancing.

“But there is a real concern about attacks on Tigrayan civilians in Addis and in other cities… There is also likely to be considerable rebellious activity in Amhara region should the Tigrayan forces and the OLA take control of Addis as well,” said Davison.

Ironically, the Tigrayans “don’t really want to be part of Ethiopia anymore, let alone governing Ethiopia”, Davison thought.

They were aiming to capture Addis Ababa not essentially to run Ethiopia but to secure Tigray’s interests as they saw them. This meant resuming the flow of trade, services and aid to Tigray and having a federal military that did not threaten them.

And the Tigrayans also needed to conduct a referendum on Tigray’s independence.

“So their dilemma is how do they secure their interests without exerting considerable federal power in Addis. It’s not really conceivable…”

The Tigrayans would need to avoid looking as though they were repeating Ethiopia’s post-1991 politics which the TPLF dominated after its dominant role in the revolution which toppled the brutal regime of President Hailemariam Mengistu. The victors put in place an ethnic-regional federation that kept the country together for over two decades. It was Abiy’s efforts to unravel that ethnic-regional federation and centralise power that sparked the conflict with the TPLF.

Davison said, if one assumed regime change was really coming, there now needed to be some urgent deal-making among the opposition actors allied against Abiy’s government. These needed to include an Oromo-led transition that respected Oromo interests but also secured Tigrayan interests.

“That’s a very, very difficult political balancing act. There’s not much time and obviously, there’s all sorts of other risks – the popular resistance, the possibility of attacks against Tigrayan civilians, a rebellious Amhara region. So it’s a pretty nasty cocktail basically.”

(CNN) Ethiopia’s government has used the country’s flagship commercial airline to shuttle weapons to and from neighboring Eritrea during the civil war in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, a CNN investigation has found.

Cargo documents and manifests seen by CNN, as well as eyewitness accounts and photographic evidence, confirm that arms were transported between Addis Ababa’s international airport and airports in the Eritrean cities of Asmara and Massawa on board multiple Ethiopian Airlines planes in November 2020 during the first few weeks of the Tigray conflict.

It’s the first time this weapons trade between the former foes has been documented during the war. Experts said the flights would constitute a violation of international aviation law, which forbids the smuggling of arms for military use on civil aircraft.

Atrocities committed during the conflict also appear to violate the terms of a trade program that provides lucrative access to the United States market and which Ethiopian Airlines has benefited greatly from.

Ethiopian Airlines is a state-owned economic powerhouse that generates billions of dollars a year carrying passengers to hubs across the African continent and all over the world, and it is also a member of the Star Alliance, a group of some of the world’s top aviation companies.

The airline previously issued two denials about transporting weapons.

Responding to CNN’s latest investigation, Ethiopian Airlines said it “strictly complies with all National, regional and International aviation related regulations” and that “to the best of its knowledge and its records, it has not transported any war armament in any of its routes by any of its Aircraft.”

The governments of Ethiopia and Eritrea did not respond to CNN’s requests for comment.

Military refills

Long-simmering tensions between Ethiopia’s government and the ruling party in the Tigray region exploded on November 4, when Ethiopia accused the Tigray People’s Liberation Front of attacking a federal army base.

Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopia’s Nobel Peace Prize-winning prime minister, ordered a military offensive to oust the TPLF from power. Government forces and regional militias poured into Tigray, joined on the front lines by troops from Eritrea.

Thousands of people are estimated to have died in the conflict, which by many accounts bears the hallmarks of genocide and ethnic cleansing. While all sides have been accused of committing grave human rights abuses during Tigray’s war, previous CNN investigations established that Eritrean soldiers have been behind some of the worst atrocities, including sexual violence and mass killings. Eritrea has denied wrongdoing by its soldiers and only admitted to having troops in Tigray this spring.

Documents obtained by CNN indicate that flights carrying weapons between Ethiopia and Eritrea began at least as early as a few days after the outset of the Tigray conflict.

On at least six occasions — from November 9 to November 28 — Ethiopian Airlines billed Ethiopia’s ministry of defense tens of thousands of dollars for military items including guns and ammunition to be shipped to Eritrea, records seen by CNN show.

The documents, known as air waybills, detail the contents of each shipment. In one document, the “nature and quantity of goods” is listed as “Military refill” and “Dry food stuff.” Other entries included the description “Consolidated.” The records also had abbreviations and spelling mistakes such as “AM” for ammunition and “RIFFLES” for rifles, according to airline employees. They told CNN the spelling errors were introduced when the contents were manually entered by employees into the cargo database.

Benno Baksteen, chairman of DEGAS, the Dutch Expert Group Aviation Safety, told CNN that these waybills were required for all commercial flights as the crew on board need to know the contents of the cargo to ensure they are transported safely.

On November 9, five days after Abiy ordered a military offensive in Tigray, records show an Ethiopian Airlines flight transported guns and ammunitions from Addis Ababa to Asmara, Eritrea’s capital.

An air waybill and a cargo manifest from that date show that Ethiopian Airlines charged Ethiopia $166,398.32 for about 2,643 pieces of “DFS & RIFFLE WITH AM (sic)” on that flight. DFS is a reference to “dry food stuff,” according to airline sources.

Another air waybill from a few days later, November 13, has the same shipper and consignee. The content of that shipment was “military refill and dry food stuff,” according to the document. The shipments came at a time of increased military activity; security sources in the region told CNN the Eritreans needed re-supply for the fight in Tigray.

As planes went back and forth between the two countries, massacres of Tigrayans in the city of Axum and the village of Dengelat by Eritrean troops took place on November 19 and November 30 respectively.

Cargo documents show that the series of flights between Ethiopia and Eritrea continued until at least November 28, 2020.

Some current and former Ethiopian Airlines employees, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of repercussions, said the flights continued past this date but that the majority of arms trips to Eritrea were in November.

Both cargo and passenger planes were used in the operation, though CNN has no evidence that commercial passengers were on any of the flights carrying weapons. Many of these flights do not appear on popular online flight tracking platforms such as Flightradar24. When they do, the destination in Eritrea is often not visible and the flight path vanishes once the plane crosses the border from Ethiopia.

The employees told CNN the staff could manually turn off the ADS-B signal on board to prevent the flights being publicly tracked.

The flights were often assigned the same flight numbers, primarily ET3312, ET3313 and ET3314, with ‘ET’ being the code for Ethiopian Airlines. All the planes mentioned in the cargo files seen by CNN are American-made Boeing aircraft. The airline has been in a long relationship with the US aviation giant.

A Boeing representative declined to comment.

Ethiopian Airlines workers described witnessing other airline employees loading and unloading arms and military vehicles on flights directed to Asmara. A few even claimed they helped load the weapons on the planes themselves. All spoke of being ethnically profiled for being Tigrayan. 

CNN has seen the Ethiopian Airlines’ ID cards of these employees and confirmed their identities.

One former employee told CNN they were instructed at Addis Ababa’s Bole International Airport to load guns and four military vehicles onto an Ethiopian Airlines cargo plane that was due to fly to Belgium but was sent instead to Eritrea.

“The cars were Toyota pickups which have a stand for snipers,” the employee said. “I got a call from the managing director late at night informing me to handle the cargo. Soldiers came at 5 a.m. to start loading two big trucks loaded with weapons and the pickups.” 

“I had to stop a flight to Brussels, a 777 cargo plane, which was loaded with flowers, then we unloaded half of the perishable goods to make space for the armaments.” 

The former employee warned soldiers that the vehicles were carrying far more gas than was allowed under international air transport rules, but said they were overruled after a direct call from an army commander.

“He [the commander] said we are going to war and we need the fuel to be loaded,” the employee said. “Then I referred the issue to my manager and my manager took responsibility and allowed them to load it.”

The flight, loaded with both weapons and flowers, traveled to Eritrea, then returned to Addis before flying on to Brussels the following day, the employee said. CNN cross-referenced this testimony with Flightradar24 and found the record of an Ethiopian Airlines aircraft returning from the direction of Eritrea and flying to Brussels the next day, but could not independently verify it was the same flight referred to by the employee.

Days later, the employee said they were temporarily suspended from work. They believe they were suspended for being Tigrayan but also for the incident with the soldiers. The employee fled Ethiopia in March.

Ethiopian Airlines told CNN in its statement that no employees had been suspended or terminated due to their ethnic background.

It appears to be not the only long-distance international flight with unplanned stops. A flight from Addis Ababa to Shanghai on November 9, 2020, took a long detour via Eritrea according to the ADS-B signal that tracks the route on Flightradar24.

Several employees at the Addis Ababa airport said they saw multiple weapons flights leave for Eritrea each day at the outset of the conflict. They also spoke about flights carrying weapons from Eritrea back to Ethiopia. It’s unclear why armaments were being transferred back to Ethiopia.

One said they saw tanks and heavy artillery loaded onto planes coming to Addis Ababa, while small arms — mortars, launchers — were dispatched to Asmara. Employees told CNN they believed the smaller weaponry were being sent to Asmara to arm Eritrean troops.

All the employees said they were instructed by the airline to delete photos of the weapons from their phones. Not all of them did.

In June, photos circulated on social media platforms showing crates containing mortars on board an Ethiopian Airlines flight and the same crates being loaded on the plane in Massawa, Eritrea.

The company released a statement strongly denying the allegation that its planes were transporting weapons and claimed the photos were photoshopped. 

However, CNN has corroborated the photos using visual analysis techniques, interviews and documentary evidence, dating them to a 777 Freighter cargo flight that flew from Ethiopia to Eritrea and back between November 8 and 9.

የግራኝ አብዮት ሞግዚቶቹ ሉሲፈራውያን እነ መለስ ዜናዊን ገድለው በመንፈሳውያኑ ሰሜን ኢትዮጵያውን ላይ ጂሃዳቸውን የጀመሩት በአዲስ አበባ (ሸዋ) እና አማራ ክልል (ባሕርዳር + ጎንደር + ወሎ) ላይ ነው። ምንም እንኳን ጎንደር በዲቃላዎች የተበከለችና ከጊዜ ወደጊዜም አምልኮተ ባዕድ (አቴቴ) እየተስፋፋባት የመጣች ከተማ ብትሆንም፤ ጎንደርና ሰሜን ተራሮች በትግራይ ውስጥ እንዳሉት ቦታዎች ትልቅ መንፈሳዊ ኃብት የሚገኝባቸው ቦታዎች ናቸው። ጠላት ይህን አጠንቅቆ ስለሚያውቅ የአካባቢውን ሕዝብ በመደቀልና የራሱን መሪዎችም በሥልጣን ወንበር ላይ በማስቀመጥ ክፉኛ ተቆጣጥሯቸዋል። ግራኝ አህመድ ቀዳማዊና ፖርቱጋሎች ከአምስት መቶ ዓመታት በፊት ዳግማዊ ግራኝ አህመድ ደግሞ ዛሬ። እባቡ ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ ከሦስት ዓመት በፊት በሉሲፈራውያኑ ሲሾም በፍጥነት ያደረገው ምንድነው? በትግራይ ላይ የዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነት ለመክፈት ያለውን ዕቅድ የማይጋሩትን ባለ ሥልጣናት (እነ ጄነራል አሳምነውን)ገደላቸው፣ ለዚህ ዘመቻ ተዘጋጅተው የነበሩትን ኦሮሞ ፖለቲከኞች አማራ መስለው ወደ ባሕር ዳር እንዲገቡና ሥልጣኑን እንዲቆጣጠሩት አደረገ፣ የአማራ ክልል ወደ ትግራይ የሚወስዱትን መንገዶች ዘጋቸው ፥ አስቀድሞ ግን በተለይ ለጎንደርና አካባቢዋ ነዋሪዎች ደህንነትና መንፈሳዊ ጥንካሬ ትልቅ አስተዋጽኦ የሚያበረክቱትን ጽዮናውያንን ወደ ትግራይ እንዲባረሩ አዘዘ፣ በመቶ ሺህ የሚቆጠሩትንም ከጎንደር አስወጣቸው።

አዎ! የምኒልክ እና አቴቴ ጣይቱ ብጡል መንፈስ ወራሽ የሆነው አረመኔው ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ በጎንደር የፈጸመውን የመንፈስ ማንነትና ምንነት ያላቸውን ሰሜናውያን የማጽዳት ዘመቻውን በኦሮሚያ ሲዖል እና በአዲስ አበባ ብሎም በትግራይ ሳይቀር ገፍቶበታል። በትግራይ ሲከሽፍበት በአዲስ አበባ እና በኦሮሚያ ተጋሩዎችን እያሳደደ በማገትና በመግደል ላይ ይገኛል። አዎ! የዋቄዮ አላህ ባሪያዎች በጎንደር ላይ የረጩትን እርኩስ መንፈስ በሸዋም ላይ ደግመውታል። ይህ ከአምስት መቶ ዓመታት በፊት የጀመረው ጂሃድ ላለፉት መቶ ሰላሳ ዓመታት እየተጠናከረ መጥቶ ዛሬ የምንገኝበት ሁኔታ ላይ ደርሰናል።

ይህ እንዴት ሊከሰት ቻለ? እንዴትስ ከመሃል አገር፣ ከደቡብ ወይንም ከጎንደር አካባቢ ይህ ሁሉ ሤራ በሕዝቡ ላይ ሲጠነሰስ በግልጽ እያየና ኦሮሞዎቹ በተለይ በኦሮሚያ ሲዖል በወገኑ ላይ ብዙ ግፍ ሲፈጽሙበት እያየ ዝም ብሎ ተቀመጠ? መልሱ አንድ እና አንድ ነው፤ ለኢትዮጵያ መቅሰፍቱንና ጥፋቱን ይዞ የመጠው የመጀመሪያው የኢትዮጵያ ትውልድ በእነ አፄ ምኒልክና አቴቴ ጣይቱ ብጡል ሳጥናኤላዊ በሆነ የአመራር ስልት “ወንድነቱን” አጥቷልና ነው፣ የስጋ ማንነትና ምንነት ላላቸው አዛዝኤላውያን በባርነት ለመገዛት ‘ተገድዷልና‘ ነው።

☆ እንግዲህ የጥፋትና የሞት ሥርዓተ አምልኮ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ የገባውና የዲያብሎስ ዙፋን በምድሪቱ ላይ የተተከለው ዲቃላው ንጉሥ ምኒልክ መንፈሳዊውን ንጉሠ ነገሥት ዮሐንስን ገድለው ቤተ ክርስቲያንን እና ኢትዮጵያን ለመቆጣጠር ከበቁ በኋላ ነው ማለት ነው። አፄ ምኒልክ በአክሱም ጽዮን ያልተቀቡ ንጉሥ መሆናቸውን ልብ እንበል።

👉 ከዚህም በመነሳት ከዋቄዮ–አላህ–አቴቴ የአህዛብ ባዕድ አምልኮ ጋር በቀጥታ የተያያዙትና ለዚህም ተጠያቂ የሆኑት አራቱ ትውልዶች እነዚህ ናቸው፦

ናቸው።

ሁሉም መንፈሳውያኑን ሰሜናውያኑን / ትክክለኛዋን ኢትዮጵያን ለማጥፋት ይሠሩ ዘንድ በሉሲፈራውያኑ የተጠሩ አገዛዞች ናቸው። ዛሬ የምናየው ግባቸው እስላማዊት ኦሮሚያ ኤሚራትን መፍጠር እና ከእነርሱ በበለጠ የከፉትን ልጆቻቸውን እነ ጃዋር መሀመድን ንጉስ/ኤሚር ማድረግ ነው። አዎ! የዋቄዮ-አላህ አርበኞቹ እነ ግራኝ ጃዋርን ለስልት ነው “ያሰሩት” የቪላ “እስር ቤት” ውስጥ እየተንፈላሰሰ እንደ እነ ማንዴላ ሊያደርጉት ይሻሉ። አይ ይ ይ! ይህን እንኳን ለማየት የማይችል ምን ዓይነት ‘ሰው’ ነው?! አንድ ጤናማ ማህበረሰብ “ከጥሩ ወደ ተሻለ እና ምርጥነት” መሸጋገር ሲኖርበት በሃገራችን ግን እነ ምኒልክ ባመጡት መጥፎ እድልና ትልቅ ጥፋት ሁሉም ነገር “ከመጥፎ ወደ ከፋ እና በጣም የከፋ/ ከድጡ ወደማጡ!” ይጎተታል። አንድም “ወንድ” በሃገራችን ባለመኖሩ!

በኢትዮጵያ “ወንድ የሆነ” ወይንም “የወንድነት ተግባር” ሊፈጽም የሚችል ጀግና ሰው የጠፋው አፄ ዮሐንስ/አሉላ አባነጋ ከዙፋን ከተወገዱበት ዘመን በኋላ ነው። አፄ ምኒልክ፤ ብዙም የማይነገርለትን “መፈንቅለ መንግስት” አድርገውና የመቅደላውን ጦርነት ከጠላት ድርቡሾች ጋር በጋራ ቀስቅሰው ንጉሠ ነገሥት ዮሐንስን ካስገደሏቸው በኋላ። አዎ! ልክ እንደ ዛሬው! ባለፈው ዓመት የአደዋ ድል ክብረ በዓል ላይ በምኒልክ ቦታ የራሱን ፎቶ ሰቅሎ የነበረው ግራኝም ሱዳን እና ኤርትራን አስገብቶ “የማያስፈልጉትን ኦሮሞ ያልሆኑ ግለሰቦች እና ሕዝቦች” እና ትክክለኛዎቹን የመንፈስ ማንነትና ምንነት ያላቸውን ኢትዮጵያውያንን በጥይት እና ረሃብ ቆልቶ ለማስጨረስ/ለመጨረስ ቆርጦ እንደተነሳው።

በጣም የሚገርመው ነገር ብዙ ጊዜ ኢትዮጵያን በእጅ አዙር የሚመሯት ሴቶች ናቸው። ለምሳሌ አፄ ቴዎድሮስ ከጎንደር በተገኘችው በአቴቴ ተዋበች አሊ በኩል፣ አፄ ምኒልክ በወሎ በኩል ዞራ በመጣችው በአቴቴ ‘ጣይቱ ብጡል’ በኩል፣ አፄ ኃይለ ሥላሴ በወሎ በኩል ዞራ በመጣችው በአቴቴ ‘መነን’ በኩል፣ መንግስቱ ኃይለ ማርያም በጎጃም በኩል ዞራ በመጣችው በአቴቴ ‘ውባንቺ ቢሻው’ በኩል ፣ ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ በጎንደር በኩል ዞራ በመጣችው በአቴቴ ‘ዝናሽ ታያቸው’በኩል። የመለስ ዜናዊን ባለቤት ‘አዜብ መስፍንን’ እና የኃይለ ማርያም ደሳለኝን ባለቤት ‘ሮማን ተስፋዬን’ ስናክልበት ሁሉም “ጎንደሬዎችና ወሎየዎች” ናቸው። ያለምክኒያት? በጭራሽ! አማራው ከአረመኔዎቹ አገዛዞቹ ጋር እንደ ማጣበቂያ ተጣብቆ የሚቀርበት አንዱና ዋናው ምክኒያት እነዚህ ሴቶች ናቸው!

እንግዲህ እባቡ የሰይጣን ጭፍራ ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ ሚንስትሩን፣ ከንቲባውን እና ባለሥልጣኑን ሁላ ሴት ማድረጉ በሴት ዕውቀት ትበብና ኃይል የሚመራና የሚገዛ የሞተ ሰው መሆኑን ነው የሚጠቁመን።

የሳጥናኤላውያኑ ሩጫቸው ቅድስቲቷን እመቤታችንን ድንግል ማርያምን ሳይቀደሙ ሊቀድሟት በመሻት ነው። እንከን የሌላት ንጽሕት ስለሆነች በሃገራችን እንዳትነግሥ እንዲሁም ለልጇ ፍቅርና ክብር የሚቆሙትን መንፈሳውያኑን ኢትዮጵያውያንን እንዳይነግሡ ለማድረግ ሲሉ ነው። አይደለም እንደ ኢትዮጵያ ለእግዚአብሔር ስምና ክብር የተመረጠችን ሀገር የሚመራ መሪና ንጉሥ ይቅርና ወንድ ልጅ በሴት ዕውቀት ጥበብና ኃይል መመራትና መገዛት ከጀመረ ያ ሰው የሞት ሞት የታወጀበት ሰው እንደሆነ መቁጠር አለብን። እንዲህ ዓይነት በቁማቸው የሞቱ ወንዶች ዛሬ ምድሪቷን ሞተዋታል። ይህ ሁሉ ጉድ በሃገራችን እየተፈጸመ እንኳን ከትግራይ ሰዎች በቀር አንድም ወንድ ከሌላው የኢትዮጵያ ክፍል ተነስቶ ከማውራት በቀር፤ “በቃ! በቃ!” በማለት ቆርጦ በመነሳት የአቴቴ ጭፍሮችን ሲዋጋ አላየንም። “ና!” ሲሉህ የምትመጣ፣ “ሂድ” ሲሉህ የምትሄድ ከሆነ አንተ የሰው አስተሳሰብ፣ ግላጎትና ስሜት (አካል) “ባሪያ” ነህ ማለት ነው። ወንድ/ባል በሴት/በሚስቱ አስተሳሰብ ፍላጎትና ስሜት እንዲመራ የእግዚአብሔር ሕግ አይፈቅድም። “አትብላ!” በሚለውም ሕግ የተከለከለው ይህ ሞት ነው። ከበላ ለሴቲቱ “ባሪያ” ሊሆን የህግ ፍርድ አለበት። “በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ክፋት ለመሥራት ራሱን እንደሸጠ ሚስቱም ኤልዛቤል እንደነዳችው እንደ አክዓብ ያለ ሰው አልነበረም።” [፩ኛ ነገሥት ፳፥፳፭፡፳፮]። ምኒልክ፣ ኃይለ ሥላሴ፣ መንግስቱ፣ አብዮት አህመድ አሊ የኤደን ገነት ንጉሥ እንደ ነበረው እንደ አዳም እና በእስራኤል ሰባተኛው ንጉሥ እንደነበረው እንደ አክዓብ በሚስቶቻቸው የተመሩና ክፋትን ሁሉ ለማድረግ ራሳቸውን የሸጡ ሰዎች ነበሩ/ናቸው።

ልክ እንደ ሔዋን አለመታዘዝ ሁሉ የአፄ ምኒልክ አቴቴ ጣይቱ ብጡልም ለራሷ ያልሆነውን ስምና ክብር የራሷ ለማድረግ ያደረባት የምኞት ርኩሰት የኢጣልያ ሮም መንግስት ወደ ተቀደሰችው ምድር እንዲመጣና እንዲገባ በሩን ወለል አድርጎ ከፍቶላት ነበር። የኢጣልያንን መንግስት ወደ ኢትዮጵያ የጠራውና በዚህ በተቀደሰች ምድር ላይ ያቆመው የአቴቴ ጣይቱ የገዥነትና የበላይነት ምኞት መሆኑ እስከዛሬም ድረስ አይታወቅም። እስከ ዛሬው ዕለት ድረስ ከታሪክም ይሁን ከፕለቲካ ‘ሊቃውንት‘ ስል ማስተዋል የተሰወረው አንዱና ዋነኛው የኢትዮጵያ የጥፋት ምስጢር የአቴቴ ጣይቱ ብጡል የስልጣን ምኞትና ትግል ነው። ምክኒያቱም ሴት ልጅ ገዥና የበላይ እንዲሁም መሪ መሆን የምትችለው ሞትና ባርነት በተባለው በስጋ ሕግ (አካል) እውቀት፣ ጥበብና ኃይል በኩል ብቻና ብቻ ነውና። አቴቴ ጣይቱ ከፍተኛ የሆነ የገዥነትና የበላይነት ምኞት የነገሰባት የሔዋን የመንፈስ ልጅ ነበረች። አስቀድሞም በሥነ–ፍጥረት መጀመሪያ የሰው ልጅ ከፈጣሪው የተቀበለውን የሕይወትና የነጻነት መንግስት ያፈረሰው የሴቲቱ የሥልጣን ምኞት ነበር። በጊዜው የነበረው የዕፅዋትና የእንስሳት ጥፋትም ከሴቲቱ (ጣይቱ ብጡል፣ ሂላሪ ክሊንተን፣ አንጌላ ሜርከል፣ የኒው ዚላንዷ ወዘተ)የገዥነት ራዕይ ጋር ተያይዞ የሚታይ ይሆናል። ሴት ልጅ የምትነግሰው በዕፅዋትና በእንስሳት ጥፋትና ሞት በኩል ነውና። የተቀደሰችው ምድር የኢትዮጵያም የጥፋት ምስጢር የሚያጠነጥነው እዚህ የምኞት ራዕይ ላይ ነው።

እባብ ሞቃታማ ቦታዎችን ነው የሚመርጠው። ተናዳፊ እባቦች በሞቃታማ እና ዝቅተኛ ቦታዎች ብቻ የሚገኙትም እነዚህ ቦታዎች ከተዘጋጁበት የምድር አፈር ሕግ የተፈጠሩትን አዳሜዎች መንደፍ ልጆቻቸውን የመፈልፈል የሚችሉበት ጥሩ አጋጣሚ ስለሚፈጥርላቸው ነው። ሴት ልጅ የተፈጠረችው ዝቅተኛ ቦታዎች ከተዘጋጁበት የምድር አፈር ሕግ ሲሆን ሙቀትን የመቋቋም የተሻለ ተፈጥሯዊ አቅም እንዲሮራት ያደርጋትም የተፈጥሮ እውነት ከዚህ የምድር አፈር ሕግ መፈጠሯ ነው። በሙቀት ሕግ ነው የሴቲቱ መንግስት የተዘጋጀው። ሞቃታማ ቦታዎች ለሴቶች ከፍተኛ የወሲብ ስሜት(የስጋ ማንነትና ምንነት) በመስጠት ነው የወንድን ሥልጣን ለሴቲቱ አሳልፈው የሚሰጡት የወሲብ ስሜት የበላይነት ነውና የገዥነትና የመሪነት ስምና ክብር። ሔዋንም ባሏ አዳም የተከለከለውን ዕፀ በለስ (መርዝ/ምደኃኒት) እንዲበላ ያደረገችውም የወሲብ የበላይነት ስሜቱን ለመግደል ነበር። ሞቃታማ ቦታዎች ለሴቶች የወሲብ የበላይነት፤ ለወንዱ የወሲብ ስንፈት ትልቁን ድርሻ ይወስዳሉ። የሴቶች የበላይነት የሚነግሰው ደግሞ በወንዶች የበታችነት ማለትም፤ “ሞት” ብቻ ይሆናል። የሙቀት ሕግ የወንድ ልጅ የወሲብ ስሜት (መንፈስ)ሞት ነውና። የወንድን ልጅ የወሲብ የበላይነት የተዘጋጀበትን መንፈሳዊ አካል በመግደል ነው ሴቶች በምድር ላይ ከግብር አባታቸው ከሳጥናኤል ጋር የሚነግሱት። በዚህ ጥበብ ነበር አቴቴ ጣይቱ ምኒልክን ማሰብ የማይችሉ አሻንጉሊት ንጉሥ ያደረጓቸው።

የስጋ ማንነትና ምንነት ያላቸው እነ አቴቴ ጣይቱ እባቡ ሳጥናኤል እየመራቸው ከእንጦጦ ወደ ፍልውሃ አካባቢ ወርደው የዛሬውን ምኒልክ ቤተ መንግስታቸውን ገንብተው ሲሰፍሩ፤ ሞቃታማ የሆነውን የኋለኛዋንን አዲስ አበባ ሰፈሮች “ፍልውሃ፣ ቡልቡላ፣ ፊንፊኔ” ብለው ሰየሟቸው። እንግዲህ ለአዲስ አበባ ይህን ስም የሠጣት አቴቴ ጣይቱ የተዘጋጀችበት የምድር አፈር ሕግ ነው ማለት ይቻላል። የሙቀት ሕግ። እሳተ ገሞራ፣ ወደ ሲዖል መውረጃው ኤርታ አሌ። የእሳተ ገሞራ ኃይል እየተንተከተከ፣ ፍልቅልቅ እያለ (ግራኝን እና ልጆቹን ‘ፍልቅልቄ‘ ሲሉ አልሰማንም? አዎ ፍልቅልቄ በምኒልክ ቤተ መንግስት) እየገነፈለ ከታች ከመሬት ወደ ላይ ወደ ሰማይ ቡልቅ ቡልቅ እያለ ከሚፈሰው የፈላ ውሃ ነበር ይህን ስም አቴቴ ጣይቱ ያገኘችው። ያ የጥፋት ውሃ ነበር ለአሁኗ አዲስ አበባ የቀደመ ስም የሆናት። ፊንፊኔ = “እሳት!” ላይ የተዘጋጀች ምድር ናት። ይህ ደግሞ ሲዖል ወይም ‘ገሀነም እሳት‘ የተባለው የምድር አፈር ሕግ መሆኑን እናስተውል። በውስጧ እሳት ያዘለች የጥፋትና የሞት ምድር ናት። ቀንና ሌሊት የማያንቀላፋ፣ የሚነድድ እሳት የታቀፈች ምድር ስለሆነች ነበር በአቴቴ ጣይቱ ዓይን ውስጥ በቀላሉ መግባትም የቻለችው። ሞት (ሲዖል) የተባለው የስጋ ፍርድም ይህ የምድር አፈር ሕግ ሲሆን ይህ ደግሞ የዲያብሎስ መንግስት ይባላል። የዲያብሎስ ዓለም “እሳት” ነውና። አቴቴ ጣይቱ ብጡልም ‘ፊንፊኔ‘ ብለው የሰየሟትን ፍልውሃማ ቦታ ለመናገሻነት የመረጡታም ስለዚህ የሞትና የባርነት የምድር አፈር ሕግ ነበር። ምክንያቱም የሴት ልጅ የገዥነት ስምና ክብር የተዘጋጀው በሙቀት (እሳት) ሕግ ነውና። የአቴቴ ጣይቱ ንግሥና ግን ከሙቀትም አልፎ በ “እሳት” ሕግ ነውና። እሳተ ገሞራ የተባለው የምድር አፈር ሕግ አስቀድሞም የሰዶምና የገሞራ ሕዝብ ያደርጉ ስለነበረው ታላቅ ርኩሰት የሞትን ፍርድ የተቀበሉበት የገሃነብ እሳት እንደነበረ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ይነግረናል። የሰዶምና የገሞራ ሕዝብ የሻሩት አንዱ የፍቅር ሕግ ሰውን “ወንድና ሴት” አድርጎ የፈጠረውን የእግዚአብሔርን መልክና ምሳሌ ሲሆን በእነርሱም ፈቃድ ሰውን የፈጠረው የመልከኦት መልክና ምሳሌ “ወንድና ወንድ፤ ሴትና ሴት” ሆኖ ይታይ ነበር። አንድ ጾታ። ለዛ ለሞትና ለባርነት በፈጠራቸውም ፈቃድ በኩል እግዚአብሔር “ወንድና ሴት” አይደለም በማለት እውነቱን ይክዳሉ። በዚህም ፈቃድ ደግሞ የሰዶምና የገሞራ ወንዶች የሴቶችን የበላይነት አውጀዋል። “ፊንፊኔም” የተዘጋጀችው በዚህ የገሃነብ እሳት ፍርድ በኩላ ስለሆነ ነበር ለወንዶች ሞት ወደር የሌላት ብቸኛዋ ሲዖል ሆና በአቴቴ ጣይቱ ተመራጭ የሆነችው። ምኒልክና የኢትዮጵያ ወንዶች እንደ መንግስት የሞትን ፍርድ የተቀበሉት በዚህ የገሀነብ እሳት ፍርድ በኩል መሆኑን እናስተውል። በሰማይ የሚኖረን ዕጣ ፈንታ በምድር የተገለጠ ነው። የምድሩ ዕጣ ፈንታችን ነው የሰማዩም ዕጣ ፈንታችን። የምኒልክና የአራቱ ትውልዶች (ምኒልክ (ጣይቱ)+ ኃይለ ሥላሴ + መንግስቱ + ግራኝ አብዮት) በሰማይ የሚሆነው ዕጣ ፈንታም በምድር የተለጠ ነበር። ሲዖልና ገሃነብ እሳት።

ዛሬ አዲስ አበባን “ፊንፊኔ! ፊንፊኔ!” የሚሏት ግብዞች ዝቅተኛ ቦታዎች ከተዘጋጁበት የምድር አፈር ሕግ የተገኙ መሆናቸውንና የሞትንም ፍርድ የሚቀበሉት ገሀነብ እሳት ፍርድ በኩል መሆኑን በግልጽ እያየን ነው። ኦሮሞዎቹና በመላዋ ኢትዮጵያ ዛሬ ተበታትነው/ተደብቀው የሚገኙት ዲቃላዎቻቸው ውብ ከሆነውና “አበባ” ከሚለው የመጠሪያ ስም ይልቅ “ፊንፊኔ” ላይ ተጣብቀው የቀሩት የሴቲቷ እና የአዛዧ ሳጥናኤል ምኞት/ትዕዛዝ ስለሆነ ነው፣ የሞትና ባርነት ማንነታቸውና ምንነታቸው አስሮና አግቶ ስለያዛቸው ነው። ይህ ጉዳይ ቀላል አይደለም። እነርሱ ይህን ማንነታቸውንና ምንነታቸውን በደንብ ነው የሚያውቁት፤ ስለዚህም ነው የወረራ ጦርነቶችን የሚያደርጉት፤ ለዚህም ነው ልክ እንደ ራዕያት/ኒፊሊሞች(ራያ)ይህን የሞትና ባርነት ማንነታቸውንና ምንነታቸውን ደብቀው ለማንገስ ሲሉ ሴቶችን እየደፈሩ ብዙ ዲቃላዎችን ለመፈልፈል ከፍተኛ ፍላጎትና ምኞት ያላቸው። በተለይ ደገኞቹና የመንፈስ ማንነትና ምንነት ያላቸው የሰሜን ኢትዮጵያውያን ሰዎች አሁን ከገቡበት መቀመቅ ለመውጣት ይህን ሃቅ ማወቅ አለባቸው፤ በጣም እጅግ በጣም አስፈላጊ የሆነ መረጃ ነው።

የአንድ ሕዝብ ማንነትና ምንነት የሚዘጋጀው በዛ ሕዝብ ላይ በነገሠው መንግስት ሲሆን የመንግስቱ ሕግ ነው የዛ ሕዝብ ማንነትና ምንነት የሚሆነው። ስለዚህም አንድ መንግስት አንድን ሕዝብ በሞትና በባርነት የሚገዛው ያን ሕዝብ በምድር አፈር ሕግና ሥርዓት በኩል በስጋው እንዲኖር ማድረግ ከቻለ ብቻ ይሆናል። ስለዚህም ደግሞ መንግስቱን ሞቃታማ ቦታ ላይ ሊመሠርት የግድ ነው። (ፊንፊኔ፣ አዳማ፣ ሐረር፣ ድሬ ዳዋ፣ ጂግጂጋ፣ ጂማ/በሻሻ፣ ወዘተ)ልክ እንደ እባቡ ሕዝቡን ሞቃታማ ቦታ ላይ እንዲኖር በማድረግ ነው ያን ሕዝብ በስጋዊ አካሉ እንዲኖር ማድረግና ማስገደድ የሚችለው። ሰው በስጋው አስተሳሰብ፣ ፋልጎትና ስሜት ከኖረ ብቻ ነው ለሞት ሕግ ባሪያ የሚሆነው። በስጋው የሚኖረው ደግሞ ስጋዊ አካሉ በተዘጋጀበት የምድር አፈር ሕግ በኩል ብቻና ብቻ ነው። በሙቀት ሕግ። ስለዚህም ዛሬ እንደምናየው የፋሺስቱ ኦሮሞ የሞት መንግስት ሕዝቡን ከየቦታው እያፈናቀለ ሞቃታማ ቦታዎች ላይ በግድም በውድም/ “ለም ነው” እያለ በማታለልም ያሰፍራል። (ፋሺስቱ የኦሮሞ ደርግ መንግስትም ደገኞቹንና የመንፈስ ማንነትና ምንነት ያላቸውን ተጋሩዎች ከትግራይ በማፈናቀል ወደ ወለጋ እና ጋምቤላ ወስዶ እንዳሰፈራቸው እናውቃለን፤ “ከድርቅ እና ረሃብ ለማዳን” በሚል የማታለያ ዘይቤ። ምክኒያቱ ግን ደገኞቹን ሞቃታማ ቦታዎች ላይ ያሰፈረው በስጋው ማንነትና ምንነት እንዲኖር በማድረግ ነውና ከሞት ሕግ በታች በባርነት መግዛት የሚቻለው ነውና ነው። ለሞትና ለባርነት መንግስት ተላልፎ የተሰጠው የስጋ አካል ነውና ነው። አዎ! የግራኝ “ተጋሩን የምንበርከክ ዘመቻ” ከዚህ ጋር የተያያዘ ነው።

ሞቃታማ ቦታ ላይ የሚኖር ሕዝብ የሚኖረው አካላዊ፣ ወሲባዊና አእምሯዊ መልክ የስጋ አካል የተዘጋጀበት የዲያብሎስ መልክና ምሳሌ ይሆናል። ሞቃታማ ቦታ ላይ የሚር ሕዝብ በአጠቃላይ ለዲያብሎስ ስምና ክብር ተላልፎ የተሰጠ የስጋ ሕዝብ የሞሆነውም ከዚህ አሰራር የተነሳ መሆኑን ልታስተውሉት ያስፈልጋል።

ሞቃታማ ስፍራ ላይ የሚኖር ሰው በባሕሪው ችኩል፣ ስልቹ፣ ቁጡ፣ ግልፍተኛ፣ ነጭናጫ፣ ግዲለሽና ግለኛ (ሁሉም ኬኛ!) ከመሆኑም በተጨማሪ ትክክለኛና ተፈጥሯዊ የሕይወት ዓላማና ራዕይ የለውም። የኑሮው ዓላማም ከስጋ ምኞት የዘለለ አይደለም። ለምኞት ባሪያ ነው። ስለሕይወትም ያለው አመለካከት አሉታዊ ከመሆኑ የተነሳ “እኔ/ኬኛ” የሚል የአህያ (አገልጋዩና ታማኙ አህያ አይሰደብና!) ራዕይ ብቻ ነው የሚኖረው። ዝቅተኛ ቦታ ላይ የሚኖር ሰው ተለዋዋጭ፣ ተቀያያሪ፣ የማይጨበጥ፣ እርስ በእርሱ የሚጋጭና የሚጋደል ኢ–ተፈጥሯዊ አስተሳሰብ፣ አመለካከት፣ ስሜትና ፍላጎት ነው የሚኖረው። ሞቃታማ ቦታዎች ለስጋ አስተሳሰብ፣ ፍላጎትና ስሜት የተዘጋጁ ከመሆናቸው በተጨማሪ የስጋ ማንነትና ምንነት ጎልቶ ይታይበታል። ትክክለኛና ተፈጥሯዊ የሆነ አስተሳሰብ፣ ፍላጎትና፣ ስሜት በጭራሽ አይኖራቸውም። ስለ አንድ የሕይወት ዓላማ በመተስጥኦና በትኩረት ለብዙ ሰዓታት ማሰብ አይችሉም። ይጨነቃሉ። ዘና፣ ፈታ፣ ላላ ብቻ ማለት ነው የሚፈልጉት። አይፈረድባቸውም፤ የሙቀቱ ሕግ ነው እንዲህ እንዲያስቡ ግድ የሚላቸው። ለማይረባ አእምሮም ተላልፈው የተሰጡት እነዚህ ለስጋ የሆኑት ሕዝቦች ናቸው። ሞቃታማ ቦታ ላይ የሚኖር ሰው በባሕሪው የተበላሸና በስነ–ልቦናው የሞተ ከመሆኑም በላይ አካላዊም ይሁን አእምሯዊ ጥንካሬ አይኖረውም። ስለዚህም ደግሞ ለመሽታ በቀላሉ የተጋለጡ ናቸው። ስለዚህም ደግሞ አስተሳሰቡ ፋልጎቱና ስሜቱ ጤናማ ያልሆነና አሉታዊ ዮህናል። በአጠቃላህ ዝቅተኛ ቦታ ላይ የሚኖር ሰው ኢ–ተፈጥሯዊ ማንነትና ምንነት ነው የሚኖረው። የደመ–ነፍሳዊ ስሜት ባለቤት ይሆናል። እንስሳ ማለት ነው። ይህ እንዲሆን የሚሠራው ደግሞ ዝቅተኛ ቦታዎች የተፈጠሩበት የሙቀት ሕግ ነው።

ለዚህም ነው ዝቅተኛ ቦታዎች ከተፈጠሩበት የሙቀት ሕግ የተገኙትና ስለሕይወትም ያላቸው አመለካከት አሉታዊ ከመሆኑ የተነሳ ሁሌ፤ “እኔ/ኬኛ” የሚል የአህያ ራዕይ ብቻ ያላቸው አእምሯዊ ጥንካሬ የሌላቸው ቆለኞቹ ደቡብ ኢትዮጵያውያን፣ ሀጋራውያን/ እስማኤላውያን + የዋቄዮ–አላህ–አቴቴ ባሪያዎች በሀገረ እግዚአብሔር የስልጣን ወንበር ላይ መውጣት የሌለባቸው። ለራሳቸውም ሲባል! እስልምና በሰው ልጆች ታስቦ የተፈጠረና በአረብ ህዝቦች ዘንድ ለመስፋፋት የበቃ እምነት መሆኑን እናውቃለን:: ይህን እምነት ያስፋፉት አረቦች ደግሞ በከፊል ከእስማኤል ዘሮች እንደሆኑ ይታወቃል።

ልክ ከላይ እንደተጠቀሰው በዓለማችን ላይ የተካሄዱትና የሚካሄዱት ፉኩቻ የተሞላባቸው ግጭቶችና ጦርነቶች ሁሉ ሲወርዱ ሲዋረዱ በመጡት የአብርሐም ሁለት ልጆች መሃከል ነው። ባንድ በኩል የይስሐቅ ዘሮች የሆኑት አይሁዳውያንና ክርስቲያኖች ሲሆኑ በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ የእስማኤል ዝርያ ያላቸው ሙስሊሞች ናቸው።

በመሀመድና አቴቴ መተቶች የተያዘው ወገናችን ግን ይህን እያየ እንኳን በግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ ላይ ለመዝመት ከመነሳሳት ተቆጥቧል። ምክኒያቱ? ለኑሮው ሁሉ ትርጉም የሚሰጠው በትግሬ ወንድሞቹ ላይ ያለው ጥላቻ ብቻ ስለሆነ ነው።

👉 ሌላው ደግሞ እኅተ ማርያምን በዚሁ ዓመት እንድትታይ እና ወደ ኢትዮጵያም እንድትገባ ያደረጓት እነርሱ ናቸው የሚል ጥርጣሬ አለኝ። የኢትዮጵያ ዝርያ እንዳላት የሚነገርላት የብሪታኒያዋ ንግሥት ኤልሳቤጥ ፪ኛ ወኪል ትሆንን?
