Putin Mocks The Church of England’s Plan to Use Gender-Neutral Terms For God

Russian President Vladimir Putin has pointed to the Church of England’s recent decision to explore gender-neutral terms for God as evidence that the West does not know what it is doing and is heading for a ‘spiritual catastrophe’.

Delivering a state-of-the-nation address to the Russian people today, Putin railed against perceived Western stupidity and said the West was waging a culture war against Russian Orthodox Christian values.

‘The Anglican Church is considering a gender-neutral God. May God forgive them for they know not what they do,’ Putin declared.

‘Millions of people in the West understand they are being led to a real spiritual catastrophe,’ he added.

He went on to accuse Western nations of changing historical facts to suit ‘woke’ ideologies and staunchly criticized the Church’s recent discussions on allowing priests to ‘bless’ same-sex marriages.

‘They distort historical facts, constantly attack our culture, the Russian Orthodox Church, and other traditional religions of our country.

‘Look at what they do with their own peoples: the destruction of the family, cultural and national identity, perversion, and the abuse of children are declared the norm. And priests are forced to bless same-sex marriages,’ Putin said.

Any potential alterations, which would mark a departure from traditional Jewish and Christian teachings dating back millennia, would have to be approved by the Synod, the Church’s decision-making body.

It is currently unclear what would replace the term Our Father in the Lord’s Prayer, the central Christian prayer which Jesus Christ is said to have instructed his followers to say together down the generations.

Rev Dr Ian Paul earlier this month told The Telegraph that any change would represent an abandonment of the Church’s own doctrine: ‘The fact that God is called ”Father” can’t be substituted by ”Mother” without changing meaning, nor can it be gender-neutralised to ”Parent” without loss of meaning,’ he said.

A Church of England spokesperson meanwhile said there are ‘absolutely no plans’ to consider a gender-neutral God.

🔥 Turkey hit by new 6.4-magnitude earthquake

Tremor shakes southern province of Hatay, which was worst-affected region in quake two weeks ago.

A powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake has hit Turkey’s southern province of Hatay, terrifying those left in a region devastated by powerful twin earthquakes two weeks earlier.

The quake, less powerful than the initial 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes which tore a path of destruction through southern Turkey and northern Syria on 6 February, albeit threatened yet more devastation in a region that had seen many people flee their destroyed homes for the safety of other towns and villages outside of the earthquake zone.

It struck at a depth of just two km (1.2 miles), the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, potentially magnifying its impact at ground level. It was centred near the southern Turkish city of Antakya and was felt in Syria, Egypt and Lebanon.

“It was the first day we’d decided to stay in our house as it’s just one floor, and I was using our heater to try and stay warm, demonstrating what to do in case another earthquake happened,” said Ata Koşar in the Hatay town of Ekinci, who lost his brother, his sister-in-law and his nephew when their nearby luxury apartment block collapsed during the first earthquake.

“I was laying on the floor, and as I was laying there another earthquake happened. We heard what sounded like more buildings collapsing again, and more damage to our house,” he said mournfully.

Witnesses said rescue teams were checking people were unharmed.

Muna al-Omar, a resident of Antakya, said she was in a tent in a park when the earthquake hit. “I thought the earth was going to split open under my feet,” she said, crying as she held her seven-year-old son in her arms.

“Is there going to be another aftershock?” she asked.

The death toll from the quakes two weeks ago rose to 41,156 in Turkey, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority AFAD said on Monday, and it was expected to climb further, with 385,000 apartments known to have been destroyed or seriously damaged and many people still missing.

The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said construction work on nearly 200,000 apartments in 11 earthquake-hit provinces of Turkey would begin next month.

Hours earlier, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, said on a visit to Turkey that Washington would help “for as long as it takes” as rescue operations and aftershocks were winding down, and focus turned to towards urgent shelter and reconstruction work.

Among the survivors of the earthquakes are about 356,000 pregnant women who urgently need access to health services, the UN sexual and reproductive health agency (UNFPA) has said.

They include 226,000 women in Turkey and 130,000 in Syria, about 38,800 of whom will deliver in the next month. Many of them were sheltering in camps or exposed to freezing temperatures and struggling to get food or clean water.

In Syria, already shattered by more than a decade of civil war, most deaths have been in the northwest, where the United Nations said 4,525 people were killed. The area is controlled by insurgents at war with forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad, complicating aid efforts.

Syrian officials say 1,414 people were killed in areas under the control of Assad’s government.

ምስባክ፦ እግዚአብሔርሰ ገሀደ ይመጽእ፤ ወአምላክነሂ

ኢያረምም፤ እሳት ይነድድ ቅድሜሁ (መዝ. 49፥2-3)።

‹‹ጌታችሁ በየትኛው ሰዓት በይትኛው ቀን እንደሚመጣ አታውቁምና ተግታችሁ ጠብቁ፤››

‹‹የሰው ልጅ(ክርስቶስ) በማታስቡበት ሰዓት ስለሚመጣ ተዘጋጅታችሁ ኑሩ፤›› (ማቴ 24፥44)

ይህ ዓለም ኃላፊ፣ ረጋፊ፣ ጠፊ መሆኑን ቤተ ክርስቲያን ሁልጊዜ ታስተምረናለች። የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያናችንም ይህ ዓለም ዘለዓለማዊ አለመሆኑን፤ አንድ ጊዜ የሚያልፍና የሚጠፋ መሆኑን ቢያንስ በዓመት ሁለት ጌዜ ለምእመናን ልጆችዋ

1ኛ/ በደብረ ዘይት (በግማሽ ጾም ላይ)

2ኛ/ በዓመቱ የመጨረሻው እሑድ ላይ አጽንኦት ታሳስባለች

ዓለም ስንል መላውን የዓለምን ሕዝብ ጭምር ነው። ታዲያ ሁላችንም ለመጨረሻው ቀን ሁልጊዜ ተዘጋጅተን እንድንጠብቅ ቅደስት ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ‹‹ጌታችሁ በየትኛው ሰዓት በይትኛው ቀን እንደሚመጣ አታውቁምና ተግታችሁ ጠብቁ፤›› (ማቴ.24፥42) እያለች ዘወትር ታሳስበናለች።

ደብረ ዘይት ይህ የዛሬው ሰንበት ደብረ ዘይት ይባላል። ደብረ ዘይት ከኢየሩሳሌም ከተማ ባሻገር በስተምሥራቅ በኩል የሚገኝ ኮረብታማ ቦታ ነው። በመካከሉ የቄድሮስ ወንዝና ሸለቆ ይገኛሉ። ቦታው የወይራ ዘይት ዛፍ በብዛት የሚገኝበት ስለሆነ ደብረ ዘይት ተባለ። የዘይት ዛፍ የሞላበት ተራራ ማለት ነው። ጌታ የጸለየበትና እመቤታችን የተቀበረችበት ጌቴሴማኒ የተባለውም የአትክልት ቦታ በዚሁ ኮረብታ ስር ነው የሚገኘው። ደብረ ዘይት የሚያስታውሰን ጌታ ስለ ዳግም ምጽአቱ በቦታው ያስተማረው ትምህርት ነው።

አንድ ቀን የጌታ ደቀ መዛሙርትና ፈረሳውያን ስለ ጌታ መምጣትና የዓለም መጨረሻ መቼ እንደሚሆን በዚሁ ኮረብታማ ስፍራ (ደብረ ዘይት) ጌታችንን ጠየቁት። የጌታም መልስ ‹‹ጌታችሁ በየትኛው ቀን እንደሚመጣ አታውቁምና ተግተቃችሁ ጠብቁ›› እንዲሁም ‹‹የሰው ልጅ በማታስቡት ሰዓት ስለሚመጣ ተዘጋጅታችህ ኑሩ፤›› (ማቴ 24፥24፣44) የሚል ነበር።

ዳግም ምጽአት፦ ምጽአት ምንድን ነው? ምጽአት ሲባል እጅግ ያስደነግጣል፣ ያስፈራልም። ምጽአት ማለት ጌታችን ወደዚህ ዓለም የሚመጣበት ጊዜ ማለት ነው። ይኸውም አንደኛ የጌታ ምጽአት፣ ሁለተኛ የጌታ ምጽአት በመባል ይታወቃል። ‹‹ወአውሥአ ወይቤሎሙ ዑቁ ኢያስሕቱክሙ» ኤፌ 5፥6 ያንጊዜ ክርስቶስ ከወዲህ አለ ከወዲያ የለም ቢላችሁ አትመኑ እነሆ አስቀድሜ ነገርኳችሁ ከቤተ አለ ከበርሐ አለ ቢላችሁ አትውጡ እነሆ በምኩራብ ይስተምራል ቢላችሁ በጀ አትበሉ ›› ማቴ. 25-23

የመጀመሪያው የጌታ ምጽአት፦ ነቢያትና የጥንት አባቶች በተነበዩትና ተስፋ በአደረጉት መሠረት ክርስቶስ ወደዚህ ዓለም መጥቶ ከቅዱስት ድንግል ማርያም ተወልዶ እኛ ሕዝቦቹን ከመከራ ሥጋ ከመከራ ነፍስ አድኖናል። ጌታ ቀድሞ የመጣው ለምሕረት፣ ለቸርነት፣ ለይቅርታና ሰውን ለማዳን፣ ሰውን ይቅር ለማለት፣ ለማስተማር ትሑት ሆኖ፣ በፈቃዱ ክብሩን ዝቅ አድርጎ፣ የሰውን ሥጋ ለብሶ ነው የመጣው። ይህንንም ፈጽሞ እኛ በረከተ ሥጋንና በረከተ ነፍስን የምንገኝበትን ቤተ ክርስቲያንን መሥርቶልናል። ይህ የጌታችን የመጀመሪያው ምጽአት ይባላል።

ሁለተኛው ምጽአት፦ ወደፊት ክርስቶስ የሚመጣበት ሁለተኛው ምጽአት ይባላል። ክርስቶስ ወደፊት የሚመጣው ከፍ ባለ ግርማና በታላቅ ክብር፣ በአስፈሪነት፣ በእምላክነቱ ክብርና በግርማ መለኮቱ በመላእክት ታጅቦ ነው። ዛሬ በቅዳሴ ጌዜ የተነበበው የማቴዎስ ወንጌል ‹‹የሰው ልጅም በኃይልና በታላቅ ክብር በደመና ላይ ሆኖ ይመጣል፤›› (ማቴ. 24፥30) ሲል አስረድቶናል። ጌታችን መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ በመጨረሻ የሚመጣው ለምሕረትና ለይቅርታ ሳይሆን ለእያንዳንዱ ሰው በዚህ ዓለም እንደ ሠራው ሥራ መሠረት ዋጋውን ለመስጠት፣ ዋጋውን ለመክፈል እንደ ሠራው ሥራ መሠረት ዋጋውን ለመስጠት፣ ዋጋውን ለመክፈል እንደ ታላቅ ዕለተ ዕለት (የክብር ዕለት) ወይንም ዕለተ ፍዳ ወደይን (የፍዳና የመከራ ዕለት) ትባላለች። ዕለተ ክብር (የክብር ዕለት) የምትባልበትም ምክንያት ጌታ ጌትነቱን፣ ከብሩን የሚገልጥባት፣ ለወዳጆቹ ለጻድቃን፣ ለሰማዕታትና በአጠቃላይ ሕጉን ትእዛዙን አክብረውና ፈጽመው ለኖሩት ለተቀደሱት ምእምናን ክርስቲያኖች ዋጋቸውንና የሚገባቸውን ክብር የሚሰጥባተ ዕልት ስለሆነች ነው። እነዚህ ቅዱሳን በዚህ ጊዜ ታልፋልች የምትባለውን መንግሥተ ሰማያት የሚወርሱባት ቀን ስልሆነች ነው።

ስለ ሰው ልጅ ትንሣኤ፦ ሰው ከሞተ በኋላ አንድ እንስሳትና እንደ አራዊት ፈርሶ በስብሶ አፈር ትብያ ሆኖ የሚቀር ፍጥረት አይደለም ነገር ግን ሰዎች ቢሞቱም በመጨረሻው ጊዜ በዕለተ ምጽአት ሕይውትን አግኝተው ለዘለዓልም ለመኖር በሥጋ ይነሣሉ። የሰው ልጅ ትንሣኤ ሁለት ዓይነት ነው፦

(ሀ). የከብር ትንሣኤ፤

(ለ). የሐሳር (የመከራ) ትንሣኤ

ይባላል።

የክብር ትንሣኤ የሚባለው ሰዎች በምድር ሕይወታቸው ሳሉ በሚሠሩአቸው መልካም ሥራ ሁሉ እንዲሁም ሕጉን ትእዛዙን አክብረውና መፈጽመው ስለኖሩ ከልዑል እግዚአብሔር የክብር ዋጋ ጽድቅን መንግሥተ ሰማያትን የሚያገኙበት ስለሆነ ነው። የመከራ ትንሣኤ የሚባለው ደግሞ ሰዎች በምድር ሕይወታቸው ሳሉ በሚሠሩተ ክፉ ሥራ ሁሉ በጌታ ዘንድ ፍዳና መከራ፤ ሐሳርና ኵነኔ የሚያገኙበትና ወደ ገሃነመ እሳት የሚወርዱበት ስለሆነ ነው።

የሰው ልጀ በምድር ላይ ሲኖር በሚሠራው ሥራ ሁሉ ከሞተ በኋላ ክልዑል እግዚበሔር ዘንድ ተገቢውን ፍርድ ያገኛል። የሚሰጠውም ፍርድ በሁለት ይከፈላል፤

1ኛ/ ጊዜያዊ ፍርድ

2ኛ/ የመጨረሻ ፍርድ ይባላሉ

ጊዜያዊ ፍርድ፦ ሰው ከዚህ ዓለም በሞት እንደተለየ በሠራው ሥራ መሠረት ጊዜያዊ ፍርድ አግኝቶ ወደ ጊዜያዊ ማረፊያወደ ገነት ወይም ወይም ሲኦል ይገባል።

የመጨረሻው ፍርድ፦ የመጨረሻው ፍርድ የሚባለው ደገሞ ሰዎች በምድር ሕይወታቸው መልክም ሥራ የሠሩ፤ የእግዚብሔርን ሕግን ትእዛዝ ጠብቀው የኖሩ በመጨረሻው ጊዜ በሥጋ ተነሥተው ዓለም ሲፈጠር ጀምቶ የተዘጋጀውን መንግሥተ ሰማያትን እንዲወርሱ የሚሰጣቸው ፍርድ ነው። ማቴ. 25፥41-46 ያለውን አንብብ።

ገሀነመ እሳት፦ ገሃነመ እሳት የሚባለው ደግሞ ሰዎች በዚህ ዓለም ሕይወታቸው ክፉ ሥራ ሲሠሩ የቆዩ፦ ሕጉንና ትእዛዙን ሳይፈጽሙ የኖሩ ሁሉ በመጨረሻው ፍርድ ጊዜ እነሱም በሥጋ ሥቃይና መከራ ቦታ ገሀነመ እሳት ይገባሉ። ማቴ 25፥ 41 -46 ያለውን አንብብ ።

ምስጋና ወቀሳ፦ በመጨረሻው ፍርድ ጊዜ ጌታ ለጻድቃን የሚሰጠው ምስጋናና ኃጥአንን የሚወቅስበት የተግሣጽ ቃን የማኀበራዊ አገለግሎትን የሚመለከት ነው።
