Gabbard, who formally announced her departure from the Democrat Party in October, joined Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany, who served as former President Donald Trump’s press secretary, in lamenting how God was continually being “run out” of today’s society.

While separation of church and state is “found nowhere in our founding documents,” charged McEnany, “it’s been utilized to create a religion of secularism.”
Turning to Gabbard, McEnany asked if the former congresswoman thought that “erasing, broadly, God out of society in a way perhaps our founders never intended” was damaging society.
The former presidential candidate replied, “there’s no question about it.”
“This erosion of this spiritual foundation of our country is a direct consequence of those who are trying to erase God from just about every facet of our public lives,” Gabbard said.

⚖ The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for war crimes because of his alleged involvement in the abduction of children from Ukraine.
Putin “is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation,” the court said in a statement.

💭 A Nigerian woman, identified as Chizoba Favour Eze, has died after she was allegedly brutalised by policemen in Ethiopia.
According to multiple sources, the young woman died because of injuries inflicted on her by the police personnel attached to Kaliti prison, a maximum security prison in Addis Abba.
SaharaReporters learnt that Eze, who was an inmate in the facility, died on Sunday.
It was gathered that her corpse was left inside the cell for over 36 hours by the prison management who allegedly prevented other inmates from informing the Nigerian embassy about the incident.
“A Nigerian woman, Chizoba Favor Eze has been brutalised to death at Kaliti Prison in Ethiopia. She died on the 12/3/2023. It’s so sad that the policemen killed our sister. They gave her internal injury on her chest after brutally hitting her on the breasts which led to her death.
“After a week, she started feeling sick because of the result of the internal injuries she had inside her body. They took her to the hospital for the first time to receive treatment and the doctor gave her injection and they brought her back to her room. The deceased started feeling weak again and they took her to the hospital on Saturday being 11/3/2023, then they brought the same injection which the deceased complained bitterly that the injection was not good on her body, she added that she didn’t want take any injection again, and they gave her the injection forcefully.
“On Sunday morning she died. She died inside her room which made the other foreigners, such as Brazilian, Venezuelan women and others felt bad because the injection the deceased took led to her death.
“The foreigners went through the bag of the deceased and took the Nigerian embassy’s telephone number in order to call the embassy, because the deceased body was there with them in the room for over 36 hours, so the foreigners decided to call the embassy of Nigeria to tell them what was happening, the police women refused that they should call the embassy.
“The foreigners started protesting, and the police women called the police men to the zone, when they came, they started beating all the foreigners brutally and wounded so many of them, of which some of them that went to court yesterday (Monday) complained bitterly to the judges. We are calling on the embassy of Nigeria in Ethiopia to help us,” a source told SaharaReporters.
SaharaReporters had recently reported that over 300 Nigerians were presently languishing in the Ethiopian prison facility.
Some of them had called on the Nigerian government to facilitate their transfer to prisons in Nigeria.
The detainees said they suffer grave human rights abuses in prison.
In a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian embassy in Ethiopia, they also complained of starvation, lack of access to medical care, corporal and capital punishment, and overcrowding.
“The Nigerian inmates in Kaliti maximum prison Ethiopia are soliciting help from the Nigerian government; we ask that the government come to our aid urgently.
“We lack access to water, food and medical care. We are asking the government to intervene so we can serve the rest of our jail terms in Nigeria. Many of us have fallen ill due to malnourishment, the health infrastructure is weak, and inmates are suffering from precarious health issues,” part of the letter read.
💭 The genocidal war in northern Ethiopia ranks among the deadliest conflicts in recent times. UN investigators have said rape was also used as a weapon of war. With a cease-fire agreed, more and more accounts of atrocities are emerging.
Sexual attacks on women and girls have continued since last year’s peace deal between Ethiopia’s government and Tigray leadership, witnesses told DW.
On the day that Ethiopian government forces reached a truce with rebel Tigrayan forces, 16-year-old Hadas was at home with her mother in a village near the Tigrayan town of Adwa. She heard someone banging on the door and then an Ethiopian soldier demanded to be let in.her name in this report.
Hadas, whose name has been changed to protect her from stigmatization and reprisals, described to DW how her ordeal unfolded on that day, November 2, 2022. It was a day which was supposed to bring peace after two years of conflict that killed approximately 600,000 people, displaced millions and left millions more hungry due to a de facto blockade of the Tigray region.
“He entered the house alone. He carried a stick with him,” Hadas told DW. “There was another soldier with a gun waiting outside. He tried to take me to the bush, but I refused. He told me that he had a knife and a handgun. Then he beat me with the stick.”
She started screaming. Neighbors came and tried to save her, but the soldiers threatened them, Hadas said. So they went back to their houses.
Hadas recalled how she started then to cry.
Nightmares
“He asked me for my age,” she said. “I told him I was 14, but he said ‘You are a liar. Don’t you have breasts?’ Then, my mother started crying.”
He raped her multiple times over the course of several hours. The attack left Hadas bleeding heavily. After he left, she sought treatment at a nearby hospital but because of a lack of supplies, they could only provide basic care, Hadas said.
Hadas still has nightmares about what happened to her that day and needs psychological help. She also wants the man who did this to her brought to justice.
“He should be held accountable,” she insisted. “They should be held accountable not only for me, but for all the other victims of rape.”
Human rights organizations have documented sexual assaults, rape, gang rape and other forms of sexual violence committed by Ethiopian soldiers and their allies, like the Eritrean army and local militia throughout the war.
Doctors told DW that many cases went unreported. And health workers confirmed to DW that rapes and other forms of sexual violence have continued well after the peace deal was signed.
A request for comment sent to Ethiopian government spokesperson Legesse Tulu went unanswered.
Eritrean Information Minister Yemane Meskel denied any wrongdoings by Eritrean soldiers in Tigray in a response to DW.
Medicine shortage
Despite the peace agreement, the hospital can only provide a fraction of the medication required by its patients.
Doctor and director of General Hospital Mekelle, Dr. Filimon Mesfin, told DW that he and his colleagues struggled to provide care during the conflict.
“We don’t have any emergency medication or medication for chronic diseases, like hypertension, diabetes, HIV and psychiatric medications — we are out of all this. We can only provide 10% or 20% of the medication these patients need,” he said.
He described having to turn away most patients. The most he and his colleagues could do was to write a prescription in the hope that the patients could somehow find the necessary medication somewhere else.
Mesfin told DW that medication is urgently needed. “These patients cannot wait. They are dying every day,” he said.
Preventable Deaths
He had hoped that things would change for the better after the peace deal was inked in November, but the aid and deliveries of medical supplies that are reaching his hospital is not enough.
“It’s been almost four months since the agreement has been signed. I would have expected these things to be provided by now,” Mesfin said. “These patients, they cannot wait. They are dying every day, they are having so many complications every day.”
And those who make it to the hospital are just the tip of the iceberg, Dr. Mesfin said, because few can afford the transport costs.
Clinic for rape victims
At the start of the Tigray war, Dr. Mesfin established a unit especially for survivors of sexual violence at his hospital.
Over the two years of the conflict, he and his colleagues treated more than 500 victims.
“There were so many gang rapes, so many foreign materials inserted into their genitalia,” Mesfin said.
Dr Mesfin wrote down accounts of rape to apply for NGO funding, he said, adding that especially those committed by Eritrean forces were particularly agonizing to hear.
“These were not ‘normal’ rapes,” he said. “Without exaggeration, I have literally cried writing some of the stories.”
He said that, as a medical doctor, it was very difficult to see what these people have been through, let alone as a human being.

💭 At least 11 people have been killed according to Turkish authorities after flash floods caused by heavy rain submerged the southern Turkish provinces of Malatya, Sanliurfa and Adiyaman.
The water ruined homes, buildings, roads, and various other structures. It also swiftly carried away cars and debris. The area is home to about 2.7 million people still recovering from recent earthquakes. Because of the quakes, thousands have been staying in container homes and tents. Ishmael becoming a great nation (ONE Nation) did not include the covenant promises. God specifically says that his covenant was with Isaac and that Abraham’s offspring would be reckoned through Isaac’s line, not Ishmael. Ishmael’s greatness would be based on God granting him twelve sons who would become rulers, forming a great nation. Genesis records the fulfillment of this promise:
“These are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham. These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, named in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages and by their encampments, TWELVE PRINCES according to their tribes. (These are the years of the life of Ishmael: 137 years. He breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people.) They settled from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite Egypt in the direction of Assyria. He settled over against all his kinsmen.” [Genesis 25:12-18]
According to the preceding section:
God would give Abraham a SON, not sons, as an heir.
Abraham, through this son, would have offspring as numerous as the stars.
Abraham’s offspring would dwell in a foreign land for four hundred years, where they would become servants.
God would deliver them from bondage and bring them back to the land promised to Abraham.
When God gave this promise to Abraham, he had only one wife. Although it was not stated explicitly at this time, but it is there implicitly, based on the context into which it was spoken, that this would be a son of his wife Sarah. If Abraham later on, because of a temporary lapse of faith in God’s promise, sleeps with Hagar, the slave girl of his wife, then this does not change God’s intention to give Abraham the son of promise through his wife Sarah. Because of this act of disbelief there are two sons in the end, and then God has to clarify which one of the two sons is meant. (In fact, God made this clear before Isaac was even conceived, Genesis 17:15-21, and then again after he was weaned.) We have already shown that God explicitly stated that his covenant was with Isaac and that he was the heir, not Ishmael.
