After a school shooting Police said the students are being taken to a nearby church to be reunited with their parents.

Three children and three staff members were gunned down at a private Christian school in Tennessee on Monday before the shooter was killed by police, authorities said.

The shooting unfolded at The Covenant School on Burton Hills Boulevard in Nashville where officers “engaged” the attacker, who was described by police during an afternoon news conference as a female who appeared to be in her teens.

The shooter was killed on the school’s second floor, a spokesperson said. She had two “assault-type riles and a handgun,” according to the official.

Students of the school, which serves preschool students through sixth graders, were being bused to Woodmont Baptist Church, two miles away, to be reunited with their parents.

Police said they first got calls about the shooter at 10:13 a.m. CT and Nashville firefighters first reported their personnel were responding to an “active aggressor” at 10:39 a.m. CT.

“The police department response was swift,” police spokesperson Don Aaron told reporters.

“They heard shots coming from the second level. They immediately went to the gunfire. When the officers got to the second level, they saw a shooter, a female, who was firing. The officers engaged her. She was fatally shot by responding police officers.”

Five police officers came upon the shooter

The names and ages of the victims, described by police as students and staff members of the school, have not been released.

Shortly after police announced the shooter was dead, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also said “there is no current threat to public safety.”

The Covenant School employs 33 teachers with an 8-to-1 student-to-instructor ratio, according to its website.

ከአራት ዓመታት በፊት ለመስከረም ፬/4 ተጠርቶ የነበረው ሰልፍ መሰረዙን ስሰማ በንዴት መስቀል አደባባይን ማረስ ነበር የቀረኝ። ያኔ አጋጣሚውን ተጠቅሜ ለስለፉ ስል ወደ አዲስ አበባ አምርቼ ነበር። ዜናውን አስቀድሜ ባለመስማቴ የባሕል ልብስ ለብሼ በወኔ ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ ከዘመዶቼ ጋር አመራን። እዚያም ምን ሰው ለማየት ሳንችል ስንቀር፤ “ምንድን ነው፤ ሰልፍ የለም እንዴ?” በማለት ሰዎችን ጠይቀን መሰረዙን ስሰማ፤ ምን ያህል እንደተናደድኩ። ወዲያው፤ ክወር በፊት ተጠርቶ የነበረውን ሰልፍ እንደሰረዙት ሁሉ ያኔም ተንኮል እንዳለበት ወዲያው ተረዳሁና፤ “ሁሉም ነገር አለቀለት!” ብዬ ወደ ቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ ቤተክርስቲያን አመራን።

መጭዎቹን ቀናትና ሳምንታት በጥሞና እንከታተላቸው። ሕዝብ እርግፍ አድርጎ የተወውና አክርሮ የሚጠላው ጋላው ኦሮሞው ግራኝ አብዮት አህመድ አሊን እንደገና እንዲያንሰራራ አሜሪካ + አውሮፓ + እስራኤል + አረቢያ + ግብጽ + ኦነግ–ብልጽግና + ሻዕቢያ እና ሕወሓት ገና ዱሮ አስቀድመው ያዘጋጁትን የሕዳሲውን ግድብ ካርድ መዝዘው መጫዋት ይጀምራሉ። እነዚህ ቡድኖች ከሠሯቸው ግፎችና ወንጀሎች ሕዝቡንና የዓለም አቀፍ ማሕበረሰቡን ለማረሳሳት፤ ብሎም የሕዝቡን ድጋፍ በድጋሚ ለማግኘት “ግብጽ ልትወረን ነው” ማለት ይጀምራሉ። ግን ይህን እነ ግራኝ ከግብጽ፣ ከኤዶማውያኑና እስማኤላውያኑ ጋር ተነጋግረው ያዘጋጁት ወጥመድ ነው። “በኢትዮጵያዊነት መተቱ” አስተኝቶ በቱርክ ድሮን እና በረሃብ ሊጨፈጭፈው

አሁን በኤዶማውያኑ ምዕራባውያን እና በእስማኤላውያኑ ምስራቃውያን፣ ብሎም፤ በሶማሌዎች፣ ሱዳኖች፣ በአፍሪቃውያንና በከሃዲዎቹ ኦሮማራዎች ድጋፍና እርዳታ ሰሜኑን “ሙሉ በሙሉ አዳክሜዋለሁ፤ አሁን ሁሉም ነገር በቁጥጥሬ ሥር ነው” በማለት የልብ ልብ የተሰማው ሰዶማዊው የጋላ–ኦሮሞ አገዛዝ የጭፍጨፋ ተልዕኮውን ለመቀጠል ትኩረቱን በሕዳሴው ግድብ ላይ ያደርጋል።

ዛሬ የተቀረውንም ሕዝብ ከአክሱም ጽዮን ነጥለውታል፤ ስለዚህ በጣም የተዳከመ ነው። ያለ አክሱም ጽዮን ድጋፍ እንኳን አባይን ሊገድብ ውሃ ቆፍሮ እንኳን ማውጣት አይችልም፤ እንኳን ማመጽና መዋጋት መናገር ያለበትን ነገር እንኳን ተናግሮ ጠላቱን ማስበርገግ አይችልም። በተለይ “አማራ ነን” የሚሉትማ ያላግባብ በጋላሮምኛ የሚጠሩትን የቦታ ስሞች የመለወጥ ዕቅድ እንኳን ለማውጣት ሲንቀሳቀስ አይታይም። ይህ ቀላሉና ግዴታው ሊሆን የሚገባው የቤት ሥራው ነበር። ያሳዝናል! ምን ያህል በኦሮማራ የዋቄዮ–አላህ እርኩስ መንፍስ ሥር እንደወደቀ የሚጠቁም ነገር አይደለምን?! እንግዲህ የሉሲፈራውያኑ ዕቅድና ፍላጎት ይህ ነበር። ሁሉንም ሰሜን ነጣጥለውና አዳክመው አንድ በአንድ ለመምታት።

Trade union protesters angered by President Emmanuel Macron’s move to raise the French retirement age without a final vote in parliament blocked the Louvre museum in Paris on Monday, frustrating crowds of visitors.

Demonstrating peacefully against plans to make most French work an extra two years to 64 to balance the pension budget, a small number of protesters gathered at the foot of the Louvre’s glass pyramid. One banner read “Retire at 60 – work less to live longer.”

A queue of disappointed tourists snaked through the courtyard.

“This is ridiculous, we come from everywhere in the world with our children to visit a museum and it’s ridiculous that 20 people are blocking the entrance,” said Samuel, a Mexican tourist who did not give his surname.

“I really understand where they’re coming from, and it’s fair enough. But we all would like to go and see ‘Mona Lisa’, but never mind,” said Jane, a visitor from London.

Louvre employees were among the protesters outside the famed musemum. A Louvre tour guide came out to address the visitors. “We hope you understand our reasons,” she said.

The protest came one day ahead of a 10th round of nationwide strikes and street marches and followed violence in cities across France over the pension system changes.

Separately, Paris police said they were carrying out an operation to prevent unauthorised gatherings in front of the Centre Pomopidou, another landmark museum in Paris.
