Amnesty (AI) Has ‘COMPELLING EVIDENCE’ of Russian War Crimes – But ‘ALLEGED’ War Crimes in Ethiopia

💭አምነስቲ ኢንተርናሽናል (AI) ስለ ሩሲያ የጦር ወንጀሎች ‘በቂ/አስገዳጅ ማስረጃ’ አለው ፥ ግን በሰሜን ኢትዮጵያውያን ላይ በተፈጸሙት የጦርነት ወንጀሎች ላይ “ጥርጣሬ” አለው

👉 Amnesty International said on Friday (May 6, 2022) there was compelling evidence that Russian troops had committed war crimes, including extrajudicial executions of civilians, when they occupied an area outside Ukraine’s capital in February and March.

The report states that both Tigrayan and Amhara communities in Western Tigray were forcibly displaced, that the Tigrayan population was significantly affected, and that the forced displacements in Tigray ‘MAY AMOUNT’ to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

UN is Able to Break The Blockade & Evacuate Civilians in Ukraine — But Unable in Tigray, Ethiopia

💭የተባበሩት መንግስታት በዩክሬን ያለውን እገዳ ለመስበር እና ሰላማዊ ዜጎችን ለማስወጣት እንዴት ቻለ ፥ በትግራይ ፣ ኢትዮጵያ ግን አልተቻለውም?

የተባበሩት መንግስታት በዩክሬን ውስጥ እንዴት በጠንካራ እና በከፍተኛ ደረጃ እንደሚሰማራ ተመልክተን ፥ ኢ-ሰብአዊ ከሆነው የ ፲፰/18 ወራት የትግራይ እገዳ፣ ረሃብ፣ እልቂትና የዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀል ጋር እናወዳድረው። ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ስንመጣ፤ እነ አንቶኒዮ ጉቴሬስ፤ “አስደንግጦናል፣ በጣም ተረብሸናል፣ ተቀባይነት የለውም ወዘተ” የሚሉትን ተደጋጋሚና አሰልቺ ቃላት ከመቀበጣጠር ባለፈ ከቃላት ወደ ተግባር ለመሸጋገር ብዙም ግድ ያለው አይመስልም። በተግባር ሲታይ ምንኛ ክፉ እና አላዋቂ ዓለም ነው!

The United Nations says a third safe passage operation is under way to evacuate civilians from the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was addressing a meeting of the Security Council.

💭 Look how the UN is engaged intensively and at the highest level in Ukraine – and compare it to the 18 month-old inhumane Tigray blockade, starvation, massacres and genocide. When it comes to Ethiopia, the world doesn’t seem to care much to move beyond such repetitive monotonous blabla words as; „We are alarmed, deeply disturbed, it’s unacceptable etc” to action. What a wicked and ignorant world!.
