Ethiopia: Laetitia Bader About The Campaign of Ethnic Cleansing Against Tigrayans

💭 የፋሺስቱ ኦሮሞ አገዛዝ ሙቀቱ ወደርሱና ኦሮሚያ ሲዖሉ ጠጋ ባለ ቁጥርና አማራውም እያጉረመረመ ራቅ ማለት ሲጀምር ትኩረቱን ወደ ስሜኑ እየወሰደ ጅሉን ሰሜናዊ በአጀንዳው ያጠምደዋል። አማራውን እንደገና አስተኝቶ ከጎኑ ያሰልፋል። ሰሜኑ እርስበርሱ ሲደቋቋስ ኦሮሞው አውሬ ትንሽ የመፈናፈኛ ጊዜ ያገኛል፤ በዚህም ላለፉት አምስት መቶ ዓመታት ሲፈጽም የነበረውን የዘር ማጥፋት ዘመቻ ኦሮሞ ባልሆኑ ጎሳዎችና ነገዶች ላይ በኦሮሞ ሰአራዊቱ፣ በልዩ ሃይሉ (ኦላ/ሸኔ በተሰኘውና በእባብ ገንዳዎች) አማካኝነት በስውርና በጥድፊያ ይቀጥላል።

ሉሲፈራውያኑ ሞግዚቶቹ ለግራኝ እንደተለመደው፤ “ዕርቅ አድርጊያለሁ፤ ሃያ “የእርዳታ” መኪናዎችን ወደ ትግራይ ልኪያለሁ” ብሎ እንዲናገር ካዘዙት የመኪናዎቹን መንቀሳቀስ የሚያሳይ ቪዲዮ እንዲሠራጭ ካደረገ በኋላ አሜሪካ፤ “ማዕቀቡን አዘገየዋለሁ” አለችን፤ ከዚያም ግራኝን ወደ አስመራ እንዲጓዝና ለቀጣዩ ጭፍጨፋ ከኢሳያስ አፈቆርኪ ጋር እንዲነጋገር አዘዘችው። እንግዲህ ጊዜ ለመግዛት መሆኑ ነው፤ የትግራይን ሕዝብ በረሃብ የመጨረሺያ ጊዜ። ግን አይሳካላቸውም፤ ከሕወሓት ብዙም አንጠብቅም፤ ለኮሙኒስት ገነታቸው ሲሉ ዛሬም የጽዮናውያንን የሕዝብ ቍጥር ቅነሳ የሚፈልጉት ሆኖ ነው የሚሰማኝ፤ ምናልባት በዶ/ር ደብረጽዮን በኩል ይሆናል ግራኝ ወደ አስመራ ያመራው። ልክ ብርሃኑ ጂኒ ጁላና የትግራይ ጄነራል በአፋር እንደተገናኙት። ብዙ የታገሰው እግዚአብሔር አምላካችን ግን “በቃ!” እያለ ነው፤ በሁሉም ላይ እሳቱን እንደሚያወርድባቸው እርግጠኛ ነኝ። አረመኔዎች!

💭 Abuses “amount to crimes against humanity as well as war crimes,” according to a report from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International.

Widespread abuses against civilians in the western part of Ethiopia’s embattled Tigray region amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have charged in a new report.

The crimes were perpetrated by security officials and civilian authorities from the neighboring Amhara region, sometimes “with the acquiescence and possible participation of Ethiopian federal forces,” the rights groups say in the report released Wednesday.

The abuses are “part of a widespread and systematic attack against the Tigrayan civilian population that amount to crimes against humanity as well as war crimes,” the report says.

Two human rights groups have accused armed forces from Ethiopia’s Amhara region of waging a campaign of ethnic cleansing against Tigrayans. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch accused Amhara officials and regional special forces and militias fighting in western Tigray of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. They also accuse Ethiopia’s military of complicity in those acts.
