Must Read: ‘Declaration Of War:’ Hajj Controversy Widens Row Between Saudi Arabia & Qatar While Shiites Attempt To Bomb Mecca

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 31, 2017

The Iran backed insurgents in Yemen recently acknowledged that they had launched on Thursday a ballistic missile towards Mecca region in Saudi Arabia, reported one Middle East news agency. Now the war over Mecca rises between Qatar and Saudi Arabia as Qatar demands that Mecca become an international city while Saudi Arabia threatens “war” with Qatar over this issue.

Firstly, Alsharq Al-Awsat reported:

An observer only needs Google Maps or any similar app to determine just how close the King Fahad Air Base is to the Great Mosque of Mecca. The Arab Coalition air defense had managed to intercept Thursday’s missile. The launch was deemed by observers as an attempt to “ruin the Hajj pilgrimage season.” This is not the first time that the insurgents acknowledged that they had targeted Saudi Arabia. They sought in October 2016 to strike Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport, which also lies in the Mecca region.

In October last year, one ballistic missile that was shot down came close near Makkah and in the following month alone, at the same year, Saudi Arabia had intercepted 11 Scud missiles aimed to take down Mecca’s holy site.

And then we read another headline from RT: “‘Declaration of war:’ Hajj controversy widens row between Saudi Arabia & Qatar” which reveals:

The feud between the Saudi-led block and Qatar escalated over the weekend, with Doha protesting to the UN over restrictions on its citizens flying to Mecca, and Riyadh threatening “war” over what it considers calls to “internationalize the holy sites” in Mecca and Medina.”

Can it get any worse than this for Mecca? Answer is yes. Most do not pay attention to detail, scripture says:

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast.” (Apocalypse 17)

The Muslim alliance that is already forming as we see Turkey uniting with Qatar and tomorrow even with Iran will “agree” to “hate the whore” (Saudi Arabia) and “burn her with fire” and that “God hath put it in their heart to fulfill his will”.

One thing about God is that every letter is fulfilled precisely as He says it will.

And think about where these scuds are aimed at:

The facility [where the scuds are launched at] is the primary arrival point of the majority of pilgrims headed to Mecca. “What is worrisome is not the ballistic threat alone, but the fact that the missile, according to experts, could be manipulated to increase its range. This consequently reduces its accuracy and makes it veer off its trajectory, which means it could land in civilian areas, most notably injure pilgrims.”

The Islamic world and international community are expecting the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to hold an emergency meeting within the upcoming days to address the Houthi and Saleh militias’ targeting of Mecca.

Political observers expect the 56-member OIC to hold a meeting that would call for tangible action to thwart the Houthi and Saleh violations. This stance will come in light of a November 2016 meeting of Islamic country foreign ministers, who had taken a collective stand against the first Mecca attack and those behind it.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Youssef al-Othaimeen condemned Thursday’s failed attack, saying that it confirms “without a doubt, the Houthi and Saleh militias’ insistence to target holy sites in Saudi Arabia.”

But Saudi Arabia’s appeal to the O.I.C will fall on deaf ears since Turkey’s Erdogan stands with Qatar which gave allegiance to Erdogan. Today the Muslim world already “hate the harlot” that controlled them spiritually.

This allegiance therefore with Antichrist is not exclusively the hatred of Israel, but the hatred of Arabia as well. This is further proof why Sheba and Dedan in Ezekiel 38 are on the sidelines when it comes to the hatred of Israel and Saudi Arabia these days seeks Israel’s aid. And today we see this already forming. Saudi Arabia has been also making historic peace gestures to Israel after realizing its isolation in the Middle East.

Qatar’s request to internationalize the holy sites is an aggressive act and a declaration of war against the kingdom, Saudi Arabia’s al-Jubeir told the Al Arabiya News, adding, that Saudi Arabia “reserve the right to respond to any party” promoting such demands.

But Qatar is no small-fry since its backed up by Turkey which stationed Turkish troops in Qatar.

Being backed by Turkey, the most powerful Muslim nation, Doha has rejected the 13-point ultimatum, with Qatar defiantly speeding up the deployment of Turkish troops to the country. Now Saudi Arabia has a pincer effect against it with Iran to its east and Shiite Houthis to the south.

And in another development, the Qatari Defense Minister Khalid bin Mohammad al-Attiyah told RT Arabic Tuesday that joint drills between the Turkish, Qatari and US militaries were said to be in the final stages of preparation.

Students of scripture should pay less attention to the so-called Sunni-Shiite divide and more attention to the wahhabist versus non-wahhabist divide. This is what we already see quickly coming together.

This is why studying a single verse or two in Scripture must be done extremely carefully weighing inductively other verses with careful attention to geography, history and also theology. Scripture is mainly a theological argument and not just prophetic.

Last year we wrote:

It is impossible to understand how the hatred develops for Arabia to be destroyed by her spiritual offspring unless she is hated by them. This means a unity between Shiites and non-Wahhabi Sunnis against Arabia including wanting Mecca out of Al-Saud’s control.

And what do we see today? We see demands to exactly what we said a year ago. Qatar demands Mecca become international to all Muslims. Now its not only Iran demanding to boycott Mecca but also Qatar and tomorrow it will be Turkey uniting with Iran since Iran too is against Saudi Arabia.

Even Al-Azhar, the hub of Muslim scholarship par excellence in the Sunni (not Shiite) world is calling to boycott Arabia. This was done with participation of 200 senior Sunni scholars, emphasizing that Saudi Wahhabism is no longer “Sunni” since the Wahhabists anathematize the Ash’ari and the Sufi Muslims who with the Shiites make up a majority in the Muslim world. The Shiites would simply want this abandonment of Saudi Arabia done by completely opting for Karbala as the center of Islam instead of Mecca which their theology teaches that Mecca is to be destroyed (1).

Islam is a Christian schism and a cult, its unitarian, an extension of the Arian heresy, and not just some other foreign religion. This is why it gets the title of being an Abrahamic faith. This is why it encompasses all heresies “mother of harlots” and is why its history is filled with legends inspired by jinn (demons) mimicking biblical stories.

Genetic Study Discovers The True Modern-Day Descendants Of The People Of Canaan

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 28, 2017

The land of Canaan is referred to many times in the Bible and other documents from the same period. Historians have been puzzled, however, as to who these Canaanites really were. They had a tremendous influence on the cultures of the people around them, but most of what we know comes from their enemies, and their origins and fate have been mysterious. Now the sequencing of genomes from one of their major cities has provided some answers.

Around 3700-3100 years ago much of the territory now marked as Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan was inhabited by the Canaanites. They appear to have been the first people to create a systemic alphabet, and for a while represented such a superpower in the region they were able to establish numerous colonies and offshoots, including Carthage.

Yet for all their capacity with letters, few Canaanite written records survive, perhaps because they preferred papyrus to clay. Consequently, most of what we know of them comes from ancient Romans, Greeks and Israelites, none exactly unbiased sources. So we know little about their ancestry or what happened to them, assuming you take Biblical accounts of their annihilation with a grain of salt.

The Sanger Institute’s Dr Mark Haber extracted DNA from the skulls of five Canaanites buried 3,700 years ago in Sidon, a major city in what is now Lebanon, and sequenced their genomes. These were compared with the genomes of 99 modern Lebanese individuals. In the American Journal of Human Genetics Haber reveals that, far from disappearing from the region the Bible implies, the Canaanites were the dominant contributor to the genetics of the people living there today. The Sidon genomes were also similar to those from nomadic people of the day in what is now Jordan, who also called themselves Canaanites.

The burial site of one of the people from whose skulls Haber was able to get inctact DNA. Dr Claude Doumet-Serhal

The present-day Lebanese are likely to be direct descendants of the Canaanites, but they have in addition a small proportion of Eurasian ancestry that may have arrived via conquests by distant populations such as the Assyrians, Persians, or Macedonians,” Haber said in a statement. As to their origins; “The Canaanites were a mixture of local people who settled in farming villages during the Neolithic period and eastern migrants who arrived in the region about 5,000 years ago.”

“In light of the enormously complex history of this region in the last few millennia, it was quite surprising that over 90 percent of the genetic ancestry of present-day Lebanese was derived from the Canaanites,” said co-author Dr Chris Tyler-Smith.

Moreover, Haber and Tyler-Smith’s work shows that the Canaanites looked much like modern Lebanese, their genes indicating, hair and eye colors and slightly darker skin. Something to consider when you see portrayals of biblical peoples as fair haired and light-skinned.

I find the following text as a fascinating insight into the nakedness of Noah and the Cursing of Canaan [Genesis 9:18-10:32]

Ham was Never cursed!!! It was a BIG LIE started in the Middle Ages in Europe! Ham NEVER disrespected his father, Noah!!! Most of the world have not been told the truth about what happened on the mountains of Ararat. Noah was NOT the town drunk, no drinking problem! This is a metaphor: he had a problem with sex: Heard of “the wine of fornication”? Check the Book of Revelation. Noah waking up from “his wine” is not the same as “the wine”: his wine came from the vineyard; and the wine is Noah’s sex problem. Noah was sexually abusing Ham’s wife for years, and Ham didn’t know it. Shem and Japheth knew this about their father, and they covered it up, for they wanted “the blessing.” Noah got Ham’s wife pregnant, and the child was Canaan; he was the 4th son, and illegitimate. He found out when he got older when he walked in Noah’s tent and caught Noah with Mrs. Ham. Noah was unconvered in the tent, sexual abusing his daughter-in-law. Canaan was going to tell everyone about this, but Noah told Canaan that he was his father, not Ham. Canaan lost his mind! True! Canaan calmed down, and realized he was better off being the 4th son of Noah than the youngest son of Ham. Canaan started to blackmail Noah. Noah would NOT recognize Canaan as his son publicly! To make the story short, Noah coursed Canaan because of the blackmailing, and he thought the Canaan tried to kill him with poison wine which made people think that Noah was drunk! Ham was in Noah’s tent to clean him up, that was his role. He left, and Canaan came into the tent. Noah remarried to a young woman, a Japhethite princess; Canaan seduced her. Then Ham came back into the tent and saw them together: Yes, his father’s nakedness is another metaphor for “his father’s wife.” Canaan got into a fight with his step-father Ham: Ham was angry about “his son” being with his grandfather’s new wife. Ham didn’t know that he was fighting with his half-brother! The fight woke up Shem and Japheth. Canaan got out of Noah’s tent before the older brothers got there. Ham came out, and he came face to face with Shem and Japheth demanding what was going on in Noah’s tent. Ham lied to his brothers about what he saw, to protect Canaan! Yes, Ham told his brothers WITHOUT THE TRUTH—He lied!!!

How do I know these things because my ancestors traded with the Canaanites, and they told the story: Who they were and what happened to Canaan. The story was passed down to me by my father who got it from his grandmother, and she got it from her ancestors. There are people who know this story, but they don’t want it to come out!

A 19-year-girl of Indian Muslim heritage has been allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered because she had begun a relationship with an Arab Muslim man.

The suspected so-called ‘honour’ killing happened in a £1.5 million London house, and the body of Celine Dookhran was found with the throat slit, The Times reports.

She was discovered just hours after being reported missing by second suspected victim, whose throat had also been cut. The woman, in her twenties, alerted police from a hospital.

Ms. Dookharn had been bound and gagged before being driven the house in Coombe Lane West, Kingston, on Wednesday last week, it is alleged. She was allegedly violently sexually assaulted before being murdered at the address.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Friday gave the cause of death as an “incised wound to the neck”, police revealed in a statement.

Mujahid Arshid, 33, of no fixed address, appeared before Wimbledon magistrates’ court on Monday, charged with the murder, rape and kidnap of Ms. Dookhran. He is also charged with the rape, attempted murder and kidnap of the second woman.

Selected Comments:

Muslims look for any excuse to murder, rape, and pillage. They even hate each other.

Wait a second- a group allegedly invited in to promote (the nonsense) of diversity murders one of their own for preferring a little diversity in her own life? Priceless.

Muslims have never had any interest in diversity.

Pakistani Muslims,Indian Muslims ,Turks look down on Arabs as scum. Arabs regard Berbers and blacks as scum as do Pakistani Muslims, Indian Muslims and Turks. Those are just some of the facts of Islamic racism.

Muslims also HATE blacks so I find it amusing when BLACKS convert to it. Blacks are useful tools and EASILY manipulated with FEW

They give their goats more respect than they give their women.

Rock-Hewn Churches Mark Old ‘new Jerusalem’ In Ethiopia | Toronto Star

I’m in Lalibela, a small town cradled in the mountains of northern Ethiopia and home to 11 rock-hewn churches. Commissioned by King Gebre Mesqel Lalibela back in the 13th century, these places of worship had been created as a new Jerusalem for Ethiopian Orthodox pilgrims. Now recognized and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, they continue to pull in people by the thousands from around the world, drawn to the biggest attraction in a country where tourism is on the rise.

I start the day at the largest of them all, Biete Medhane Alem, or House of the Saviour of the World, descending from ground level and circumnavigating the structure before we enter. Melkamu explains the basics as we go. We pass portraits of devotion — an impossibly elderly woman with a red-crossed hat reciting prayers, a man folded in behind the pillars of the church, doing the same — and Melkamu notes that Ethiopia had been one of the first countries to adopt Christianity. Actually mentioned in the biblical Book of Acts, Ethiopia adopted Christianity as its official state religion in the fourth century.

The churches here had been constructed at the direction of King Lalibela after the sultan Saladin captured Jerusalem in 1187. Carved from grey basalt and volcanic red scoria, “these were built by Ethiopians — with the help of the angels, of course,” Melkamu says.

It seems wherever we go, we see the faces of angels — Ethiopian ones —with beautiful round faces flanked by wings, staring at us from the ceiling, or from frescoes on the walls.

At Biete Maryam (House of Miriam), Melkamu pauses to kiss the doors before entering, then shows us the icons inside, which include ancient frescoes depicting the Holy Family’s flight to Egypt.

We also see priests everywhere, their heads wrapped in turbans and a wooden staff always at the ready. They gather together and walk past, reading and talking and, like everyone else, praying.

We see deacons, too, clustered and crouched against the round wall of a traditional tukul, with mud walls and a thatched roof, a mantra falling from their mouths like a sort of song, a stream of foreign words being lifted from the little scripture books held before them to the heavens above. “They’re speaking in Ge’ez, the ancient language of Ethiopian liturgy,” Melkamu explains. “These boys are considered deacons. If they pass the exams and get married, they will one day be priests in the church.”

In single day, we tour all 11 churches, clamouring up and down stone steps and crouching through tunnels and even once climbing up on a roof for a panoramic view of Biete Golgotha Mikael, which is said to contain the tomb of King Lalibela himself. We cross the Jordan River, now at the end of the dry season, just a sliver of green, filmy water. We make our way through dark tunnels and even visit Biete Lehem — literally, Bethlehem — the House of Bread, where loaves were baked for Holy Communion.

Exhausted, we make one final descent into the carved rock, the sun casting long, warm rays on top of Biete Giyorgis, the Church of St. George, the jewel in Lalibela’s crown, named for the patron saint of Ethiopia. We make our way down a small path into the crevices that surround the cross-shaped and intricately hewn church, slipping our shoes off, one last time, as we ascend the steps. We enter a church devoid of tourists, the priest’s chants cutting eerily through the silent space.

As I sit down next to him, Melkamu calls out to the man, asking him to give me a blessing. And just like that — before I expect it — his cross is on my face. I react poorly, giving a quick start, before getting hold of myself and settling down. I thank the priest and, at his encouragement, slip him a small bill for his efforts. No, it wasn’t a good blessing, but is there such thing as a bad one? Slipping my shoes back on, I decide that, either way, I’m relieved — after all, now, there’s no way I will have to go (back) to hell.

Eritrean Patriarch Detained For 10 Years Has Attended Church

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 21, 2017

The Eritrean Orthodox Patriarch, detained at home since 2007, has been allowed to attend a church service for the first time since his arrest – but supporters say in spite of this there has been no reconciliation with the regime.

Patriarch Abune Antonios was arrested and deposed by the repressive Eritrean regime after he criticised its human rights record and refused to allow it to interfere in Church affairs. The government installed another patriarch who was not recognised by the wider Orthodox Church, but he died in 2015.

Antonios, now aged 90, was allowed to take part in the mass at St Mary’s Cathedral in the capital, Asmara, but local sources told Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) that he was surrounded by guards and that plain-clothes policeman dissuaded the congregation from taking pictures.

According to CSW, the patriarch’s appearanced followed the publication on the website of the Eritrean Orthodox Church of a letter from its Holy Synod saying the rift caused by his removal from office was over. It published a picture of a ‘reconciliation committee’ comprising the ‘Union of the Monasteries and Church Scholars’, who had participated in a process that had allegedly ended in ‘full reconciliation’.

At the service on Sunday a statement from the reconciliation committee was read. However, Antonios himself has yet to speak out and has previously categorically denied the charges against him.

Painful Memories | Italy and The Addis Ababa Massacre

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 21, 2017

For Italians, It Was A Garden-Variety Colonial Atrocity. For Ethiopians It Was A Modern War Crime

Abune Petros:

How a Christian country as Italy could undertake such a hideous terror action of occupation on another peaceful Christian country that is Ethiopia.

The Addis Ababa Massacre: Italy’s National Shame. By Ian Campbell. Hurst; 478 pages; £30. To be published in America by Oxford University Press in August.

NEAR the village of Affile, on a picturesque hillside east of Rome, stands a monument, unveiled in 2012 and built with public funds, to Rodolfo Graziani, one of Mussolini’s most brilliant generals. He was a key figure in Italy’s brutal campaigns in Africa in the decade before the second world war.

Inside a roundabout in Addis Ababa lies another monument. This giant obelisk, perhaps the Ethiopian capital’s finest piece of public art, was donated by Josip Tito, then president of Yugoslavia, in 1955. Six bronze reliefs depict a massacre, the worst in Ethiopian history, carried out by Italian forces during the occupation of 1936-41 while Graziani was viceroy of Italy’s new colony. According to the Ethiopian government, some 30,000 Ethiopians died during the campaign of terror in February 1937.

Official Italian estimates usually number between 600 and 2,000, but they are certainly much too low. The most plausible figure, argues Ian Campbell in the first comprehensive account of the massacre, may be 20,000. In Italy Graziani’s great crime is seen as little more than a typical European colonial atrocity—no worse than the British at Amritsar, for instance, where 1,000 people (according to India’s count) were slaughtered in 1919.

But, as Mr Campbell’s meticulous work makes plain, this was no typical colonial atrocity. After a failed attempt on Graziani’s life, the Italians’ bloody revenge lasted three days. Led by the local “Blackshirts”—Mussolini’s paramilitaries, officially granted carta bianca—regular soldiers, carabinieri and perhaps more than half of Addis Ababa’s Italian civilians took part. In this ghoulish massacre, witnesses reported crushed babies, disembowelled pregnant women and the burning of entire families.

Mr Campbell argues that this was a methodical effort to wipe out Ethiopian resistance to Italian rule, more like later Nazi war crimes than earlier colonial massacres. He charges both Graziani and the local Fascist Party leader, Guido Cortese, with personal responsibility. Though unconscious when the killing began, Graziani took control of the subsequent reprisal executions, aimed in particular at eliminating the Ethiopian nobility and intelligentsia.

Graziani was never prosecuted for crimes in Africa, though he was convicted for collaboration with the Nazis and briefly imprisoned. Britain, wary of setting awkward precedents, played an outsized role in sheltering Italians with blood on their hands. Mr Campbell cites a telegram written by Winston Churchill to his ambassador in Rome in 1944, instructing him to protect Marshal Badoglio, Italian commander of the Ethiopian northern front, who used poison gas, and is considered the top war criminal by Ethiopia.

Italy was never forced to reckon with Fascism as Germany was with Nazism. Few post-war Italian historians ever tackled the massacre. Those that did were often denounced as unpatriotic. Angelo Del Boca, writing in the 1960s, was accused by the Italian army of being a “liar” for his research on Graziani’s crimes. When “Lion of the Desert”—a film depicting his actions in Libya—was released in 1981, it was soon banned, for damaging the honour of the Italian army. To this day Italian schoolchildren are not taught about the Addis Ababa massacre. Graziani is little known; his sins even less so. Mr Campbell’s book will be welcomed by the Ethiopian government, which has long argued that its citizens deserve an apology.

This article appeared in the Books and arts section of the print edition under the headline “Hearing their cries”

Source

The above video from 1935 was filmed by the BBC (who allowed them to film? How was that possible?) In the first part, we see Italian troops and cannons lined up as a Catholic priest performs a blessing for all the troops before they head out to massacre Ethiopians. “Sanctus Sanctus Sanctus,” said the priest (holy, holy, holy). But there was nothing holy about the evil actions of the Italians.

In the second part we see Italian airstrikes upon Ethiopian villagers and even a Red Cross camp that was protecting children who’s parents were either dead or fighting the Italians. The children are trained to run into dug bunkers in the ground as soon as they hear the sound of a plane. They were hiding to avoid getting hit by bombs. People, homes and farming land were all hit.

The Vatican should issue an apology for endorsing these and many other acts of unspeakable horror against the people of Ethiopia.

Dogwalker Hospitalised After Attack By Somalian Migrant Who Said ‘Dogs are Unclean’

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 19, 2017

A middle aged woman had to be hospitalised in Vienna following a brutal beating in broad daylight by a veiled Somali asylum seeker offended by her pet dogs.

The victim, named only as Ingrid T., described how she was talking with neighbours at the gate of her garden, accompanied by dogs — her deaf, almost-blind, three-legged Collie mix “sitting peacefully” alongside while 10-month-old ‘Poco’ meandered along an alleyway towards her parents’ house — when she “saw a pretty, veiled woman approaching slowly.”

I knew some people from these countries do not like dogs, so I went to Poco and wanted to pull him back,” the 54-year-old told Krone from her hospital bed in the Austrian capital.

The 18-year-old Somali asserted, “The animals are unclean,” Ingrid recalled, stating that her attacker then “grabbed me, spun me around and scratched me” until both women fell to the floor.

As NGOs and taxpayer-funded rescue missions ferry thousands of Africans from the Libyan coast to Italy each week, Austria has repeatedly called for Europe to close the Mediterranean route, warning that the nation will impose border checks and deploy soldiers on its frontier with Italy if the influx does not slow.

Local media reported this week that moves by the nation to secure its border look to be justified after the director of the Italian Refugee Council, Christopher Hein, threatened to send tens of thousands of migrants to Austria.
