Dame Janet Smith, a retired judge who has spent nearly three years examining Savile’s activities at the BBC, concluded that the presenter sexually assaulted 72 victims while working for the corporation, including boys and girls as young as eight.
But her £6.5 million report was dismissed as an “expensive whitewash” by a lawyer acting for many of Savile’s victims, after it ruled that the corporation should not be held responsible for his crimes, on the grounds that senior managers were never made aware of the allegations against him.
Famous faces at the corporation, including Dame Esther Rantzen, Sir Terry Wogan, Louis Theroux, Mike Read and Nicky Campbell, were among 117 BBC staff who were said to have been aware of rumours about Savile’s sexual conduct.

10-Year Old Austrian Boy Raped By Iraqi Refugee Due To “Sexual Emergency”
A 20-year-old Iraqi migrant apparently raped a 10-year-old boy at the Resienbad pool in Vienna.
The attack wasn’t reported to the press at the time in order to protect the victim who ran crying to a lifeguard after the assault which took place in a “cubicle.”
The refugee – who at that point had gone back to swimming and diving – was arrested on the spot and taken into custody where he told police that he was experiencing a “sexual emergency.”
“I followed my desires,” the man said, adding that he “hadn’t had sex in four months.” He went on to say that although he was fully aware that his actions were “forbidden in any country in the world,” he had “a marked surplus of sexual energy.”
The man said he had a wife and a daughter in Iraq.
Asked if information about the attack was deliberately withheld from the public in order to avoid sparking a backlash against asylum seekers, Thomas Keiblinger, spokesman for the state police in Vienna said that the fact the man was Iraqi had nothing to do with the decision not to publicize the crime. “It played no role whatsoever,” he told Kronen Zeitung.

Two child migrants arrested in January after a 12-year-old girl was forced to perform sex acts with them are now thought to be adults at least 21 years of age.
The two men who have not been named but are reported to be Iranian citizens were officially 15 and 16-years-old at the time of their arrest four weeks ago. One of the men has now been proved to be “at least 21 years old” through dental examinations, while the second is also thought to be an adult but with no conclusive evidence having yet been brought forward, reports Bild.
The men were admitted to a children’s migrant aid centre when they arrived in Dusseldorf last year after they had managed to fool the German government over their true age. Once in the centre they were allowed into the classroom alongside other children from Dusseldorf, and they were able there to gain access to the much younger girl.
She was “compelled and forced into sexual acts” over the course of some days, said the prosecutor. Germany’s Express reports a six year old boy who discovered that the girl was being abused was threatened with having his throat cut for telling on the pair.

Women who are not accompanied by men are considered easy prey, with some allegedly being forced into prostitution. The groups behind the letter are calling for women and children to be segregated from male migrants.
