የቆንጆዋ ጽጌረዳ ውዝዋዜ (ነፋስ) ከቤተክርስቲያኗ ከሚወጣው የሊቀ መዘምራን ይልማ ኃይሉ መዝሙር ጋር አብሮ አይሄድም? ጽጌሬዳዋስ ላይ የሆነ ፊት ገጽታ አይታይም?
ለማንኛውም፡ ሰሞኑን የቱርኩ እና የግብጹ ፕሬዚደንቶች በአገራችን የሚያደርጉትን ቆይታ አሳጥረውና ምድረ ኢትዮጵያን ቶሎ ለቀው እንዲሄዱልን ቅዱሳን ረድተውናል። ይህ ትልቅ ምልክት ነው፡ መሪዎቻችን ይህን እንዲገነዘቡ ጸሎቱን እናድርግላቸው።
ቸሩ እግዚአብሔር የተመሰገነ ይሁን!

Neal and Danette Childs knew they were in danger.
From their compound in Niger’s capital city they could see three churches burning. The smoke was filling their home.
“We immediately started packing a trunk, putting in our valuables, our documents, and we loaded up the car,” Neal told me. “There were concerns our family would be targeted.”
The Childs family had every reason to be alarmed. A rampaging mob was attacking Christian houses of worship, and Neal was the prominent leader of a Christian ministry in the mostly Muslim country.
“Our immediate response — there is that little bit of panic,” he said during a telephone conversation from the West African nation of Niger. “We were ready. We were on guard.”
It was Jan. 16 and by the week’s end Muslims had set fire to at least 45 churches and looted the homes of a number of Christian ministers. Ten people were killed. Followers of Christ fled for the lives.
The protests were over the cartoons lampooning the Prophet Muhammad that were published by the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The horrors of that weekend did not generate all that much press coverage. There were no solidarity marches for Niger’s tiny Christian community. There was no wall-to-wall cable news coverage. Nor could I find any mention of the burnings on the White House website.
The New York Times published a dispatch from Reuters that appeared sympathetic to the mob. The story included quotes from a Muslim explaining why they were angry — but there were no quotes from the Christian victims.
Likewise, USA Today’s coverage lacked any commentary from pastors or priests. But they did find an imam who reminded the newspaper’s readers that the Islamic faith is peaceful.
“Don’t forget that Islam is against violence,” he told USA Today as the ruins of 45 Christian churches smoldered across the nation.
But the story of what really happened during that terrifying weekend deserves to be told. And it needs to be heard.
The following day Neal and his wife ventured outside to survey the ruins of the church house.
“It was still smoking and warm with ashes,” he told me. “As we were looking through the rubble my wife came across the Bible.”
The Bible was charred but not destroyed, and it caused a stirring in the hearts of the Christian couple.
“It was an emotional moment as you see your church in ashes,” Neal said.
The pastor and his fellow victims who were travelling from Morocco began to pray fervently for a better weather to save their boat from sinking after the sea became stormy.
Some of the survivors who probably did not join in the prayers disclosed in December 2014 that the two Muslim Cameroonians blamed the pastor and his Christian followers for causing the raging storm and pushed them all overboard in the middle of their prayers.
According to Sky News, the police became suspicious of the duo following the fearful attitudes of the survivors towards them after they arrived in Spain.
The police who confirmed the incident, “The detainees blamed the bad weather on the Nigerians who were praying and used the boards that covered the bottom of the boat to assault and throw overboard the pastor and the other Nigerian passengers.

My Note: It’s 27th of January, 2015 – 70th Anniversary of Auschwitz Liberation. President Putin avoids this special anniversary event amid tension with Poland. But, what is the reason that neither President Obama nor Vice President Biden attended the anniversary? An accident, that, on this very day, President Obama and his most senior officials prefer to be in the notorious nation of Saudi Arabia to the notorious death camp of Auschwitz?
Lee Zeldin of New York, the only Jewish Republican in Congress, told the Guardian earlier that the president’s attendance at the Auschwitz ceremony would send a strong message about the US commitment to rooting out antisemitism, especially in light of the recent attacks in Paris.
One interesting thing I notices is that the very same colors of prisoner clothing worn as a uniform at the Auschwitz concentration camp – trousers and a jacket made of blue-and-white striped cotton ticking – are to be found in the national flags of three countries which these days make news that are related to one another. Greece, the cradle of democracy, where the most avowed atheist grabbed power yesterday, (a fatal mistake by Greeks) captured the ignominious title of most anti-Semitic country in Europe. In Argentina, the prosecutor who died mysteriously last week had evidence tying Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires.
“There are these opportunities the president has unfortunately not been seizing upon to show the rest of the world just how strongly America stands committed to the cause of freedom and liberty, and a never-ending commitment towards or everything that is right and just,” said Zeldin.
On 27 January 1945 Soviet soldiers entered the gates of the Auschwitz concentration camp complex in south-west Poland. The site had been evacuated by the Nazis just days earlier. Thus ended the largest mass murder in a single location in human history.
Precise numbers are still debated, but according to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the German SS systematically killed at least 960,000 of the 1.1-1.3 million Jews deported to the camp. Other victims included approximately 74,000 Poles, 21,000 Roma, 15,000 Soviet prisoners of war and at least 10,000 from other nationalities. More people died at Auschwitz than at any other Nazi concentration camp and probably than at any death camp in history.
The Soviet troops found grisly evidence of the horror. About 7,000 starving prisoners were found alive in the camp. Millions of items of clothing that once belonged to men, women and children were discovered along with 6,350kg of human hair. The Auschwitz museum holds more than 100,000 pairs of shoes, 12,000 kitchen utensils, 3,800 suitcases and 350 striped camp garments.
The first Nazi base in Auschwitz, named after the nearby Silesian town of Oświęcim, was set up in May 1940, 37 miles west of Krakow. Now known as Auschwitz I, the site covered 40 square kilometres.
In January 1942, the Nazi party decided to roll out the “Final Solution”. Camps dedicated solely to the extermination of Jews had been created before, but this was formalised by SS Lieutenant General Reinhard Heydrich in a speech at the Wannsee conference. The extermination camp Auschwitz II (or Auschwitz-Birkenau) was opened in the same year.
With its sections separated by barbed-wire fences, Auschwitz II had the largest prisoner population of any of the three main camps. In January 1942, the first chamber using lethal Zyklon B gas was built on the camp. This building was judged inadequate for killing on the scale the Nazis wanted, and four further chambers were built. These were used for systematic genocide right up until November 1944, two months before the camp was liberated.
This is not the limit of the horrors of Auschwitz I. It was also the site of disturbing medical experimentation on Jewish and Roma prisoners, including castration, sterilisation and testing how they were affected by contagious diseases. The infamous “Angel of Death”, SS captain Dr Josef Mengele, was one of the physicians practising here. His particular interest was experimenting on twins.
According to the numbers provided by the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Auschwitz was the site of the most deaths (1.1 million) of any of the six dedicated extermination camps. By these estimates, Auschwitz was the site of at least one out of every six deaths during the Holocaust. The only camp with comparable figures was Treblinka in north-east Poland, where about 850,000 are thought to have died.
The third camp, Auschwitz III, also called Monowitz, was opened in October 1942. It was predominantly used as a base for imprisoned labourers working for the German chemical company IG Farben. According to the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial museum, an estimated 10,000 labourers are thought to have died there. Once they were judged incapable of work, most were killed with a phenol injection to the heart.
The SS began to evacuate the camp in mid-January 1945. About 60,000 prisoners were forced to march 30 miles westwards where they could board trains to other concentration camps. The US Holocaust Memorial Museum estimates 15,000 died during the journey, with the Nazis killing anyone who fell behind.
More than 7,000 Nazi personnel are thought to have served at Auschwitz but just a few hundred have been prosecuted for the crimes committed there. The pursuit of justice has not ceased, with German justice officials saying on 2013 that there were 30 surviving Auschwitz officials who should face prosecution.

ተዓምር ነው! እኛ ደንቆሮዎቹ፡ መማር እያቃተን ደግመን ደጋግምን ስህተቶች ብንሰራም፡ ፈጣሪያችን ግን ባልጠበቅነው መንገድ ከጥፋት ያድነናል፡ ከአውሬው መንጋጋ ያወጣናል፤ ጠላቶቻችንንም ያርቅልናል።
Private Eye will have a field day when it comes to the tributes being paid to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia – it’ll be like beheading fish in a barrel (for adultery). Among the tributes paid to the people’s medieval theocrat was one by David Cameron, who said:
‘I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abd Al Aziz Al Saud.
“He will be remembered for his long years of service to the Kingdom, for his commitment to peace and for strengthening understanding between faiths.
“I sincerely hope that the long and deep ties between our two Kingdoms will continue and that we can continue to work together to strengthen peace and prosperity in the world.”
‘PS We’re having a special deal on Typhoons at the moment – 6 for 5. D.C.’
Ok, he didn’t say that last bit.
Then there was Angela Merkel, who said King Abdullah’s policies ‘brought him and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia respect and recognition. With wisdom, foresight and great personal dedication, he strove for a cautious modernization of his country and for dialogue between the Islamic world and the West.’ Considering women still aren’t allowed to drive, I think cautious is a bit of an understatement.
Likewise with the IMG’s Christine Lagarde, who said Saudi King Abdullah was a strong advocate of women ‘in a very discreet way’:
Indeed – very discreet! As for Tony Blair, who said that the king was a ‘staunch advocate of inter faith relations’, when they read that out in the office did all they burst out laughing like bad guys in 1980s action films? I believe in showing respect to the dead but do world leaders have to openly grovel to a country that exports Islamism around the world, whose ideology has poisoned countries like Pakistan and Indonesia, and which has funded Islamist murderers in Syria and Iraq. Abdullah’s kingdom is currently half-way through flogging a man to death for blogging and holds public beheadings for such crimes as witchcraft and homosexuality. So let’s not fall over ourselves here. The nicest thing that can be said about the Saudi royals is that the alternative would almost certainly be even more ghastly (an alternative created by the Saudis themselves, of course). Most craven of all is the decision by Westminster Abbey to fly a flag at half-mast, a church honouring the leader of a country where conversion to Christianity is a capital offence. It’s appropriate for the Foreign Office in Whitehall to mark the late king’s passing, but for a church to do so, when Saudi treats Christians so badly, is utterly pathetic. If the Saudis despise us for such craven behaviour, they are right to.

The following Ethiopic text explains that Apostle Mark / Marqos was of Ethiopian ancestry. St. Mark the Evangelist was a nephew of St Barnabas and a very close companion of the Apostles Peter and Paul . When St. Mark arrived in Alexandria, Egypt, it was the cultural capital of the world. Its famous School was the center of science and philosophy with a library filled with hundreds of thousands of books. The population of Alexandria was estimated to be from half to three quarters of a million, who were Egyptians, Greeks, Jews, Romans, Ethiopians, Nubians and other races. In Ethiopia there are many churches in named after St. Mark. The main Church and monastery are located in Addis Abeba. There is also a pleasant city called ” Debra Marqos” meaning Mount Mark. The name ‘Mark’ meant a ‘hammer’. St. Mark was the hammer that broke down idols. The church called St. Mark “The breaker of idols”

ጌታችን መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ በዓለም ላይ ካሰማራቸው ሐዋርያት መካከል ሐዋርያው ማርቆስ አንዱ ነው።
ሐዋርያው ማርቆስን በሚመለከት መሪራስ አማን በላይ “ሐዋርያው ማርቆስ ዜግነቱ ሮማያዊ ሲሆን፡ ትውልዱ ኢትዮጵያዊ ነው። በዚያን ጊዜ ግብጾች ቦታ አልነበራቸውም ሲሉ ተናግረዋል። ሐዋርያው ማርቆስ ቤተሰቦቹ ኢትዮጵያዊ ሲሆኑ ነዋሪነታቸው ግብጽና ኢየሩሳሌም እንደነበረ በታሪክ ተጠቅሷል።
አባ ተስፋ ሥላሴ ሞገስ፡ ቅዱስ ማርቆስ ኢትዮጵያዊ ነው መድኃኒዓለም ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ የይሁዳ አንበሳ ነው ሲሉ መጽሐፍ ጽፈዋል። ቅዱስ ማርቆስ ኢትዮጵያዊ ነው መድኃኒዓለም ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ የይሁዳ አንበሳ ነው የተባለው መጽሐፍ ገጽ 100 ላይ “ማርቆስ ሙሉ በሙሉ ኢትዮጵያዊ ነው” ሲሉ ጽፈዋል። እኒህ አባት ሐዋርያው ማርቆስን ብቻ ሳይሆን ሌሎች ሐዋርያት ኢትዮጵያዊ ደም ያላቸው መሆናቸውን በማመለከት ከፍ ተብሎ በተጠቀሰው መጽሐፍ ገጽ 42 ላይ፡ “ከኢትዮጵያውያን ዘር የሚወለደው ፊልጶስም ነው” ሲሉ ሁለቱ ሐዋርያት ከጌታችን ጋር ያደረጉትን የቃላት ልውውጥ በሚመለከት ጽፈዋል።
ከዚህ ላይ ማየት ያለብን እነዚህ የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝቦች ቀድሞ ጀምረው ራሳቸውን ዝቅ የሚያደርጉና ለክብር የማይሮጡ በመሆናቸው ማንነታቸው ሊታወቅ አልቻለም። እንኳን ቀድሞ በቅርቡ የዳ/ዊ አጤ ቴዎድሮስን ታሪክ የፃፉት አንዱ ደራሲ መጽሐፉን የዘመኑ የታሪክ ሊቃውንቶችን ጥቅስ ለመውሰድ ሲሉ “የማይታወቀው ደራሲ” እንደጻፈው እየተባለ ነው የሚጠቀሰው። የጥንት ኢትዮጵያውያን “እወቁልን” የማይሉ በመሆናቸው ብዙ የታሪክ አባቶቻችን ስምና ታሪክ ተደብቆ ቀርቷል። በዚህ ባለንበት አገር አሉ ከሚባሉት ሊቆች መካከል ለአንዱ የሊቀ–ጠበብት ማዕረግ ዩኒቨርስቲው ሲሰጣቸው አስተዳዳሪው ለተሰብሳቢው እንግዳ እንዲህ ብለው ነበር፦
“ኢትዮጵያውያን ይህን ሰርተናል የማይሉ በስራቸው እንጂ ለወረቀት የማይጓጉ በመሆናቸው ይህ ዶ/ር እገሌ እንደሌሎች ዶክተሮች ማመልከቻ ይዞ ወደ ጽሕፈት ቤቱ መጥቶ አስቸግሮኝ አያውቅም። የስራውን ጥራትና ብቃት ዩኒቨርስቲው በማየቱ የሌቀ–ጠበብት ማዕረግ ሰጥቶታል” ብለዋል።
ትቤ አክሱም ገጽ 67 “ቅዱስ ማርቆስም ያባቱን ሀገር አስቀድሞም ያውቀው ስለነበረ መጥቶ እንዳስተማረ” ሲሉ ጽፈዋል። ከዚህ ላይ የኢትዮጵያውያን ከቀድሞ ጀምሮ የመጣው ታሪክ የሚያመለክተው ለክርስትና ሃይማኖት ከፍተኛ ተጋድሎ ማድረጋቸውን ነው። ሐዋርያው ማርቆስን የመሰለ መምሕር ያስገኘች ኢትዮጵያ ናት። ላይ እንደተጠቀሰው ዛሬ ድረስ በህይወት ያሉ ደራሲያን ኮሎኔልነታቸውን፣ ጠበብትነታቸውን ወይም ሊቅነታቸውን ሳይጠቅሱ መጽሐፍ የጻፉ ደራሲያን ነበሩ። ምክኒያቱም ኢትዮጵያውያን አብዛኛው እወቁኝ የማይሉ ናቸው። በዚህ ምክንያት ከቀድሞ ጀምሮ ተያይዞ በመምጣቱ ሐዋርያው ማርቆስ ኢትዮጵያዊ መሆኑ ሳይታወቅ ኖሮ ነበር።
መሪራስ አማን በላይ፡ “ጉግሣ” መጽሔት ቅጽ 2 ቁጥር 3 መጋቢት 1993 ዓ.ም. ገጽ 17 ላይ “የማርቆስን አክስት ማለት የበርናባስንና የአርስጦሎስን እህት ጴጥሮስን አግብቶ ነበር። እንዲሁሙ ዜግነቱ ኢትዮጵያዊ የቤተ እስራኤል የሌዊና የይሑዳ ነገድ የሆነ ወደ ቀሬና ቀራኒዮ ወደ ቤተ መቅደስ ሊሰግድ መጥቶ ስሙም ስምዖን ይባል ነበር። በበነጋታው ከአባቱና ከናቱ ዘመድ ከስምዖን ጋር ማርቆስ የጌታችንን የክርስቶስን ግርፋትና ሕማማቱን እየተከተለ ተምልክቷል። አጎቱንም የአባቱን ዘመድ ኢትዮጵያዊ ስምዖን የተባለ የቀሬና ሰው የጌታን መስቀል እንዲሸከም አይሁዳ ሊያስገድዱት አይቷል ተመልክቷል” ሲሉ ጽፈዋል። ስምዖን ኢትዮጵያዊ መሆኑን የሚያረጋግጥበት ምክንያት ስምዖን ኢትዮጵያዊ መሆኑን የሚያረጋግጥበት ምክንያት ስምዖን ጥቁር መሆኑን በሌሎችም ታሪክ ታውቋል።
ሐዋርያው ማርቆስ ኢትዮጵያዊ ስለሆነና ታሪኩን ስላወቁ ቀዳማዊ አጤ ኃይለ ሥላሴ አጽሙ አጽሙ ቬነስ ግዛት / ከተማ ከሚቀር ግብጽ መግባት ይኖርበታል ብለው ከቬነስ መንግሥትና ቤተ ክርስቲያን ጋር ያደረጉት ጥረት ቀላል አይደለም። ቀደም ሲል ግብጾች ሊያስመልሱ ያልቻሉትን አጤ ኃይለ ሥላሴ በጥረታቸው የቅዱስ ሐዋርያው ማርቆስ አጽም ወደ አፍሪቃዋ ግብጽ እንዲገባ ሆነ። ይህ ታሪክ በመሆኑ ሊገለጽ የሚገባው ሲሆን፡ ጃንሆይ መሠረት ያደረጉት ዋናው ነጥብ ሐዋርያው ቅዱስ ማርቆስ በዘሩ ኢትዮጵያዊ በመሆኑ ነው።
“የአጤ ኃይለ ሥላሴ ታሪክ” ከሚለው መጽሐፋቸው ገጽ 1132 ላይ “ሐዋርያው ቅዱስ ማርቆስ ወደ ግብጽ ገብቶ ክርስትናን በማስተማር ላይ እያለ የክርስቲያኖችን ዕምነት የሚጠሉና በጣዖት የሚያመልኩ ከብዙ ጊዜ ጀምሮ ለምደውት ለቆየው አምላካቸው በጣም ቀናኢ የሆኑ በአሌክሳንድርያ መንገድ ላይ እየጎተቱ አሰቃይተው ገደሉት። እንደሞተም አሌክሰንድርያ በሚገኘው ቤተ ክርስቲያን ቀበሩት። በዚህ ቦታ ተቀብሮ ለብዙ ዘመን ከቆየ በኋላ በ820 ዓ.ም ሁለት የቬኑስ ነጋድያን አጽሙን በድብቅ ከተቀበረበት አስወጥተው ወደ ቬነስ ነጋድያን አጽሙን በድብቃ ከተቀበረበት አስወጥተው ወደ ቬነስ ወሰዱት በዚህ ከተማ በሚገኘው በቅዱስ ማርቆስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አኑረውት ቦታው የበላይ ቅዱስ ሆኖ በክብር ይኖር ነበር። ስለሆነም የግብጽ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንዲሰጣት በየጊዜው ከመጠየቅ አልቦዘነችም ነበር። ግርማዊ ንጉሠ ነገሥታት ቀዳማዊ ኃይለ ሥላሴም ለግብጽ እንዲመለስ ብዙ ጊዜ ጠይቀዋል።
“ነገር ግን ሁሉም የሚፈጸመው እግዚአብሔር በፈቀደው ጊዜ ስለሆነ ጊዜው ሲደርስ የሮማው ርዕሠ ሌቀ ጳጳስ ጳውሎስ 6ኛ ስለፈቀዱ በሞተ በ1900 በተወሰደ 1140 ዓመት ወደ ጥንተ ቦታው ለመመለስ በቃ።” ካለ በኋላ አጽሙ የገባበትን ቀን ሲገልጹና ጃንሆይም በስፍራው መኖራቸውን ሲያብራሩ ገጽ 1133 ላይ፡ “የቅዱስ ማርቆስ አጽም ከቬነስ ወደ ግብጽ የገባው ግርማዊ ንጉሠ ነገሥት በአለበት ሰኔ 17 ቀን 1960 ዓ.ም ነው።” ብለዋል።

A text that may be the oldest copy of a gospel known to exist — a fragment of the Gospel of Mark that was written during the first century, before the year 90 — is set to be published.
At present, the oldest surviving copies of the gospel texts date to the second century (the years 101 to 200).
This first-century gospel fragment was written on a sheet of papyrus that was later reused to create a mask that was worn by a mummy. Although the mummies of Egyptian pharaohs wore masks made of gold, ordinary people had to settle for masks made out of papyrus (or linen), paint and glue. Given how expensive papyrus was, people often had to reuse sheets that already had writing on them.
In recent years scientists have developed a technique that allows the glue of mummy masks to be undone without harming the ink on the paper. The text on the sheets can then be read.
The first-century gospel is one of hundreds of new texts that a team of about three-dozen scientists and scholars is working to uncover, and analyze, by using this technique of ungluing the masks, said Craig Evans, a professor of New Testament studies at Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
“We’re recovering ancient documents from the first, second and third centuries. Not just Christian documents, not just biblical documents, but classical Greek texts, business papers, various mundane papers, personal letters,” Evans told Live Science. The documents include philosophical texts and copies of stories by the Greek poet Homer.
The business and personal letters sometimes have dates on them, he said. When the glue was dissolved, the researchers dated the first-century gospel in part by analyzing the other documents found in the same mask.
One drawback to the process is that the mummy mask is destroyed, and so scholars in the field are debating whether that particular method should be used to reveal the texts they contain.
But Evans emphasized that the masks that are being destroyed to reveal the new texts are not high quality ones that would be displayed in a museum. Some are not masks at all but are simply pieces of cartonnage.
Evans told Live Science, “We’re not talking about the destruction of any museum-quality piece.”
The technique is bringing many new texts to light, Evans noted. “From a single mask, it’s not strange to recover a couple dozen or even more” new texts, he told Live Science. “We’re going to end up with many hundreds of papyri when the work is done, if not thousands.”
Debate
Scholars who work on the project have to sign a nondisclosure agreement that limits what they can say publicly. There are several reasons for this agreement. One is that some of the owners of these masks simply do not want to be made known, Evans said. “The scholars who are working on this project have to honor the request of the museums, universities, private owners, so forth.”
The owners of the mummy masks retain ownership of the papyrus sheets after the glue on them is dissolved.
Evans said that the only reason he can talk about the first-century gospel before it is published is because a member of the team leaked some of the information in 2012. Evans was careful to say that he is not telling Live Science anything about the first-century gospel that hasn’t already been leaked online.
Soon after the 2012 leak, speculation surrounded the methods that the scholars used to figure out the gospel’s age.
Evans says that the text was dated through a combination of carbon-14 dating, studying the handwriting on the fragment and studying the other documents found along with the gospel. These considerations led the researchers to conclude that the fragment was written before the year 90. With the nondisclosure agreement in place, Evans said that he can’t say much more about the text’s date until the papyrus is published.
Destruction of mummy masks
The process that is used to obtain the papyri, which involves the destruction of the mummy masks, has also generated debate. For instance, archaeologist Paul Barford, who writes about collecting and heritage issues, has written a scathing blog post criticizing the work on the gospel.
Roberta Mazza, a lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Manchester, has blogged her concerns about the text as has Brice Jones, a doctoral candidate in religion at Concordia University.
When the texts are published the debate is likely to move beyond the blogosphere and into mainstream media and scholarly journals.
Biblical clues
Although the first-century gospel fragment is small, the text will provide clues as to whether the Gospel of Mark changed over time, Evans said.
His own research is focused on analyzing the mummy mask texts, to try to determine how long people held onto them before disposing or reusing them. This can yield valuable information about how biblical texts were copied over time.
“We have every reason to believe that the original writings and their earliest copies would have been in circulation for a hundred years in most cases — in some cases much longer, even 200 years,” he said.
This means that “a scribe making a copy of a script in the third century could actually have at his disposal (the) first-century originals, or first-century copies, as well as second-century copies.”
Set to publish
Evans said that the research team will publish the first volume of texts obtained through the mummy masks and cartonnage later this year. It will include the gospel fragment that the researchers believe dates back to the first century.
The team originally hoped the volume would be published in 2013 or 2014, but the date had to be moved back to 2015. Evans said he is uncertain why the book’s publication was delayed, but the team has made use of the extra time to conduct further studies into the first-century gospel. “The benefit of the delay is that when it comes out, there will be additional information about it and other related texts.”

Web users in Ethiopia have been posting under the #JusticeForHanna hashtag, seeking justice for Hanna Lalango who died last year, aged 16, after succumbing to injuries from a brutal kidnapping and gang rape. The story received very little media coverage at the time but has outraged web users who have taken to the web calling on the authorities to severely punish her attackers currently on trial in the capital Addis Ababa.

Photo Bomb? Miss Universe Controversy in The Middle East
The trouble started last week, when this year’s Miss Israel Doron Matalon posted a photo on Instagram featuring herself alongside Saly Griege, this year’s Miss Lebanon, and her fellow contestants from Japan and Slovenia.
The picture caused an uproar in Lebanon, which has a law forbidding its citizens from fraternizing with Israelis. In 1993, the government disqualified its Miss Universe representative after Agence France-Presse moved a photo of her smiling arm-in-arm with her Israeli competitor.
For her part, Griege claimed that she had been the victim of a sinister photobomb, writing on Facebook and Instagram, “I was very cautious to avoid being in any photo or communication with Miss Israel (that tried several times to have a photo with me) … I was having a photo with Miss Japan, Miss Slovenia and myself; suddenly Miss Israel jumped in, took a selfie, and put it on her social media.”
Upon hearing the uproar back home, Miss Lebanon Saly Griege threw Miss Israel Doron Matalon under the bus and accused her of photobombing the picture that was being taken of herself with Miss Japan and Miss Slovenia. The rather adult response from Miss Israel was “Too bad you can not put the hostility out of the game, only for three weeks of an experience of a lifetime that we can meet girls from around the world and also from the neighboring [sic] country.”
It’s shocking to to observe how quickly Miss Lebanon threw her new buddy, Miss Israel, under the bus. How silly! Two young, beautiful women were getting along just fine and learning about each other, and hatred and ideology destroyed all. The story is sad.
My note: Let’s consider the following and think about it:
Israel – Area: 22,145 km2
(The area of the State of Israel fits 545 times into the Arab World’s area, that is roughly 0.18% of the lands)
Arab World – Area: 12,061,226 km2
(Strictly, they are 17 Arab countries, while the Arab League includes other 4 states, which are not Arab, and the disputed territories, totalizing 22)
The most popular show in the Arab world ignited an uproar throughout the region when it displayed a map depicting the home country of two of its contestants as Israel.
The singers on the “Arab Idol” show were Arab citizens of Israel who live in Galilee, but the Saudi MBC-TV network was forced to apologize to hundreds millions of viewers for acknowledging the existence of the Jewish state and not identifying the contestants’ homeland as “Palestine.”
MBC had been threatened with boycotts and Internet campaigns, including”Shut Down Arab Idol,” “Palestine is Arab, not Hebrew” and “Together Against Arab Idol.”
The protesters, commented the international public policy group Gatestone Institute, “were not demanding a two-state solution and an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank and Gaza Strip.”
“They were protesting against Israel’s existence; that is what really bothers them.”
“Their success in forcing MBC to remove Israel from the map is a symbolic victory for those who seek Israel’s destruction. But it is also a reminder that this conflict is not about a settlement or a checkpoint or a fence — but about Israel’s very existence,” said the organization, which seeks to educate the public about issues the “mainstream media” fails to report accurately.
The Arab Israelis, Manal Moussa, 25, and Haitham Khalailah, 24, were among contestants from all over the Arab world when the show launched its new season in mid-September.
Within minutes of displaying a map identifying the contestants’ home countries, the network was flooded with demands to remove Israel and apologize to all Arabs for the “serious offense.”
The institute said there were “extreme activists” who immediately threatened the station and its owners.
MBC claimed Israel appeared on the map as a result of a “technical error” and replaced it with one that identifies the area as Palestine.
The singers are now are described on the show as Palestinians, and there is no mention they are citizens of Israel.
“The uproar that erupted throughout the Arab world over the use of a map with Israel’s name on it is yet another reminder that many Arabs still have not come to terms with Israel’s existence – and apparently are not interested in coming to terms with it,” the institute commented.
Pakistan Tops List of Most Porn-Searching Countries: Google
As oppressive and strict as Muslim countries are, they cannot seem to reign in their sexually perverse civilians. Lashing, imprisonment, and even the death penalty are not enough to deter Muslims under Sharia law from watching pornography.
Perhaps it’s because of such a repressed culture or maybe it stems from the inherently perverse nature of Islam, but for whatever reason, Muslim countries more than outrank the Western world in explicit Internet searches.
Data collected from Google reveals that six of the top eight porn-searching countries are Muslim nations, according to The Herald Tribue.
The top porn-obsessed countries are:
Pakistan
Pakistan ranks number one in searching for “children sex,” as well as “sexy children” and “rape.” Animals are also a favorite, with pig, donkey, and dog topping the list.
Egypt
The city with the most porn searches is Cairo, which also follows closely behind Pakistan in both child sex and animal sex, searching everything from Elephants to birds. That’s right, they rank number one in “bird sex” searches.
Turkey
In Turkey there are at least 2 million online users watching porn every minute. Turkey ranks just behind Pakistan in searching for “child porn.”
Iran
Iran has an unnatural fetish for incest, as “daddy love” is one of the county’s top searches. “Gay” also tops the list, which proves dangerous because homosexuality is illegal and punishable by the death penalty under Sharia law.

አባቶች ጥንግ ድርብ እና አልፎ አልፎም ቀደምቱን የአማራ በርኖስ የባህል ልብሳቸውን ለብሰው ጥምቀትን ደምቀው ሲያደምቁት የቀረው ነዋሪም “ለጥምቀት ያልሆነ ልብስ ይበጣጠስ” ሆነና አቅሙ የፈቀደ አዲስ ልብስ አስገዝቶ ይለብሳል።ያልገዙ ደግሞ ያላቸውን ልብስ አጣጥበውና በወግ በወጉ ጠቅመው በአደባባይ የሚታዩት በጥምቀት ነው፡፡
በጥምቀት የጎንደር ስመ ጥሩ የአርባ አራቱ ታቦታት ፣ ሊቃውንት፤ ስመጥር የደብር አለቆችና ካህናት በሚያምረው ልብሰ ተክህኖ አምረውና ደምቀው ይታያሉ በነጭ ልብሳቸው ላይ ጣል ከሚያደርጉት ጥቁር ካባቸውና በራሳቸው ጥምጣም የሚታወቁት በጎንደር የመጻሕፍት፣ የቅኔ ፤የአቋቋም እና የዝማሬ ሊቃውንት ባማረው አንደበታቸው የውዳሴ መዝሙር ጣዕመ ዜማ፣ ወረብናሽብሸባውን በአደባባይ የሚያሰሙበት ልዩ አጋጣሚ ቢኖር ይህ የጥምቀት በዓል ነው፡፡

ከህጻናት ጀምሮ ኮበሌው፣ኮረዳዎች፣ እድሜ ጠገብ አባቶችና እናቶች የጎንደር ጥምቀት በዓል ልዩ ውበት ናቸው፡፡ይህ ሁሉ ለእምነቱ ተከታይ በረከት፣ በቱሪስቶች ዘንድ ልዩ ትዕይንት በመፍጠር በየዓመቱ ወደ ባሕረ ጥምቀቱ እንዲተሙ እያደረጋቸው ይገኛል፡፡ ይህ በዓል እስትንፋስ ያለው ሁሉ በነቂስ ወጥቶ ፈጣሪውን የሚያመሰግንበት ዕለት በመሆኑ ጥምቀት በጎንደር እንደዚህ ያምራልና ጥምቀትን በጎንደር መታደም መባረክ ነው እንላለን፡፡
የጥምቀቱ ጸጋ እና በረከት ከሁላችን ጋር ይሁን አሜን፡፡

I was almost about to sing, “It’s time for Africa”, no, no chance, another francophone colonial power, Belgium is next in seizing the media attention.
In a normal world this would seem to be the message the world’s media is trumpeting in the wake of the silence over 2,000 slaughtered by the Boko Haram in Nigeria. The Guardian questions in the article below, why the massacre in Baga, Nigeria has been ignored.
The first reason; the “we & the rest” elite masters of this world have created a primitive and unjust hierarchical system based on status, skin color and belief system that drives them to get busy identifying themselves as the better ones, preferring, networking and associating with their own tribe. According to this system, on top of the pyramid sit White European Atheists, then Brown Arab Muslims and Black Voodoo Africans. These Atheists, Muslims and Voodoo maniacs seem to behave and act in opposition to one another or discriminate each other, but they come together and work hand in glove to fight against children of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – as Atheists, Muslims and Voodoo-maniacs worship the pagan god of Cain, Ishmael and the Pharaohs.
As Satan is the ruler of this world, there is a deadly power struggle among its worshipers, among the Atheists, Muslims and Voodoo-maniacs. These three groups are existentialists, live predominantly for themselves, for now, for their flesh, exercise satanic rituals, kill themselves and murder others, specially Jews and Christians in order to propitiate their satanic deity. They control most of the visible physical world, are often attention seekers, and help each other in desperate times. They often suggest that moral authority is derived from solidarity. Everywhere we look liberal atheist fascism is on the rise. Political correctness is their Delusion. They despise and hate anyone who disagrees with them. All who are not atheists are evil. They lie, hate, denigrate, tear down, murder, and destroy anyone who disagrees with what they say and do. No wonder that liberal Atheists, Muslims, and Voodoo-maniacs get along so well. Their methods are indistinguishable. When the Ottoman Turk, Bosnian, Albanian, Chechnyan and Afghan Muslims were in trouble, it’s the atheists powers who came to their rescue. When Christians in the Central African Republic were raped, murdered and driven from their homeland by Arab Muslim invaders, the atheist West was silent for about a year. But, when the persecuted Christians organized themselves to drive our the Arab barbarians, French soldiers were sent to CAR to protect the Muslims. We had little known Christian genocides in Sierra Leon, Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Uganda (Idi Saudi Amin), and, of course, in Iraq and Syria.
Another reason why Charlie Hebdo killings gets more attention is because they struck at a foundational belief of atheism. The world’s liberal, secularist and selective media responded so hugely to the seventeen deaths in Paris, because their own tribe / atheists were killed. Nigerian Christians? They don’t seem to be qualified as real people, after all, their country has to depopulate itself one way or the other. Not a single attention-seeker European, American, Asian or Arab truly cares about the fate of Christian Africans. The painful truth!
Honestly, it’s even more depressing to learn that the NWO installed agents and politicians in Nigeria ignore the problem because they ‘have to do’ their jobs or it reflects badly on them. A day after gunmen killed 12 people at the French satirical weekly, Charlie Hebdo, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan issued a statement condemning the “dastardly terrorist attack”, while ignoring the massacre of his own people. How irresponsible! I remember back in 2012, when millions of Nigerians stopped work, took to the streets across the country back to protest against the removal of a fuel subsidy, I asked my self, they went to the streets when price of rice went up, but, they remain silent, silent and silent when their brothers and sisters are slaughtered on a daily basis?! The 2012 protests were also held in other countries to show solidarity with money-minded Nigerians back home, but not with the persecuted Christians.
We witness countless attacks and daily acts of atrocious cruelty against Christians in Kenya, Sudan, Nigeria, Libya, Tanzania, Egypt, Somalia, Central African Republic etc – I wish Ethiopian Christians would organize a million-man-march to the headquarters of the African Union for the persecuted Christians of Africa under the umbrella of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. France spent the weekend coming to terms with last week’s terror attacks in Paris that left 17 dead. The country mourned, and global leaders joined an estimated 3.7 million people on its streets to march in a show of unity.
In Nigeria, another crisis was unfolding, as reports came through of an estimated 2,000 casualties after an attack by Boko Haram militants on the town of Baga in the north-eastern state of Borno. Amnesty International described as the terror group’s “deadliest massacre” to date, and local defense groups said they had given up counting the bodies left lying on the streets.
Reporting in northern Nigeria is notoriously difficult; journalists have been targeted by Boko Haram, and, unlike in Paris, people on the ground are isolated and struggle with access to the internet and other communications. Attacks by Boko Haram have disrupted connections further, meaning that there is an absence of an online community able to share news, photos and video reports of news as it unfolds.
But reports of the massacre were coming through and as the world’s media focused its attention on Paris, some questioned why events in Nigeria were almost ignored.
On Twitter, Max Abrahms, a terrorism analyst, tweeted: “It’s shameful how the 2K people killed in Boko Haram’s biggest massacre gets almost no media coverage.”
Musician Nitin Sawhney said: “Very moving watching events in Paris – wish the world media felt equally outraged by this recent news too.”

በህጻናት–ደፋሪዎችና ሰዶማውያን የሚመራው ዓለም አቀፋዊ የሊሲፈራውያን ቡድን ኢትዮጵያን እየከበበ እንደሆነ፡ ዓይኑንም በኦርቶዶክስ ክርስቲያኖች ላይ መትከሉን ከዚህ ቀደም ደጋግሜ አውስቼው ነበር። ዘመቻው አሁን ወደ መጨረሻው ደረጃ የደረሰ ይመስላል፡ ተደናግጠዋል! ተቻኩለዋል! ነገሮች ሁሉ በፈጠነ መልክ በመጧጧፍ ላይ ናቸው። የፓሪሱን ጉድ ደግሞ ለየመን ሰጥተዋታል። ሱዳን፣ ጂቡቲ፣ ሶማሊያ፣ የመን፣ ሳዑዲ አራቢያ በቅርቡ አንበጣዎች በሁሉም ክንፎቻቸውን ይዘረጉባቸዋል።
የእነ ፕሬዚደንት ክሊንተን፣ ልዑል አንድሪው እና ጀፍሪ ኤፕሽታይን የህጻናት–ደፈራ ቅሌት ቶሎ ተረሳ፡ የፓሪሱ ሽብር ጥሩ ማድበስበሻ አጋጣሚ ሳይሆንላቸው አልቀረም። የጀፍሪ ኤፕሽታይንን የኢትዮጵያ ተል ዕኮ በሚመለከት ከዚህ ቀደም እዚህ በጥቂቱ አውስቸው ነበር። ለማንናውም ሃቅ መውጣቷ አይቀርም፡ በዚህ ዓመት ትልቅ ነገር ይከሰታል!
የአንደኛው የዓለም ጦርነት እ.አ.አ በ1914 ዓ.ም ሲጀምር ዓላማው ሩሲያን በኮሙኒዝም ሥርዓት ላይ ለመጣል ነበር፤ ለዚህም ኦርቶዶክስ ክርስቲያን የሆነው የሰርቢያ ተወላጅ በአውስትሮ–ሃንጋሪ ንጉሥ ላይ የግድያ ጥቃት በሳራየቮ ከተማ አድርሷል በሚል ሳቢያ ነበር። ኮሙኒዝም በሶቪየት ሩሲያ ካንሰራፋና በኦርቶዶክስ ክርስቲያኑ ላይ አያሌ ነፍስ–ነጣቂ ዘመቻዎች ከተካሄዱ ከ25 ዓመታት በኋላ፡ ሉሲፈራውያኑ ሁለተኛው የዓለም ጦርነትን በ1939 ዓ.ም ቀሰቀሱ። ከዚያም፡ ከ50 (25+25 = 50) ዓመታት በኋላ በ1989 ዓ.ም የበርሊኑን ግንብ በመገርሰስ፡ የምስራቃውያኑን የዋርሶው ፓክት የጦር ቃልኪዳን ድርጅት ብሎም ሴቪየት ህብረትን ለመበታተን በቁ። አሁን፡ ሩሲያን ሙሉ በሙሉ ለመቆጣጠር ልክ በኦርቶዶክስ ኢትዮጵያ ላይ በማካሄድ ላይ እንዳሉት (ታች የቀረበው ጽሑፍ በግልጽ ያሳየናል) ፡ በተለያዩ ምጣኔ–ኃብታዊ፣ ማሕበረሰባዊ፣ ባሕላዊ፣ ሃይማኖታዊ ድርጅቶቻቸው አማካይነት ተጽእኖቻቸውን ለማሳደር ታገሉ፤ ሩሲያ፡ በአንግሎ–አሜሪካውያን መሪነት የአንድ ዓለም መንግሥት ምስረታው ሂደት ላይ እንድትካተት፡ የነጮቹ ጦር ካልኪዳን ድርጅት፡ የኔቶ አባልም እንድትሆን ተስማሙ። ይህ ሩሲያ የምትከተለው መንገድ ያልጣማቸው ቦሪስ የልሲን ሩሲያ–አፍቃሪ የሆኑትን ቭላዲሚር ፑቲንን አስጠጉ፡ ፑቲንም መሪነቱን ተረክበው፡ ባለፈው የፈረንጆች ዓመት፡ 2014 ላይ ከሉሲፈራውያኑ የአንድ–ዓለም–ሥርዓት አቀነባባሪ ማሕበረሰብ መውጣታቸውን በቆራጥነት አረጋገጡ፡ ይህም፡ የበርሊን ግንብ ከፈረሰ ከ 25 ዓመታት በኋላ መሆኑ ነው። (25–2 + 5 = 7:: 2007 ዓ.ም ላይ ነን) የዪክሬይኑ ጦርነት፣ የማሌዢያ አውሮፕላን፣ የኢኮኖሚ ማዕቀቡ… ይህ ሁሉ በቀል የመጣው ለምን በኛ ሥር አልሆኑም፡ ለምን ከኛ ጋር አልተባበሩም ከሚል ቂም የተነሳ ነው። የማሌዢያው አውሮፕላን በሩሲያ ተመትቷል የሚል የውንጀላ ክስ ከምዕራባውያኑ በኩል ሲቀርብ፡ ፕሬዚደንት ፑቲን በዚያኑው እለት የኦርቶዶክስ ቤተክርስቲያን ገብተው ጸሎት ማድረሳቸው፤ ምንን ነው የሚያሳየን? አዎ! መጋደላችን ከደምና ከሥጋ ጋር ሳይሆን፥ ከአለቆችና ከሥልጣናት ጋር ከዚህም ከጨለማ ዓለም ገዦች ጋር በሰማያዊም ስፍራ ካለ ከክፋት መንፈሳውያን ሠራዊት ጋር መሆኑን ነው።
አቤቱ የሰይጣንን ሠራዊት ከእኛ አርቅ በወጥመዱም እንዳንገባ ጠብቀን፡ ክንፉንም ሁሉ ከእኛ አስወግድልን፡ በአንተ ታምነናልና።
Soft Power – the USA’s Cultural War against Russia, 1991 – 2010
The victory over the Soviet Union was particularly achieved with the help of these non-military methods. The strategy, which did not intend any coexistence with the Soviet Union, but aimed at “disassembling” the Soviet system, was elaborated by the Reagan administration in 1982.6 The plan included seven strategic initiatives, among them as point 4: Psychological warfare, aimed at producing fear, uncertainty, loss of orientation both among the nomenclature and the population.7 This war was not only waged against communism, but against Russia, as Brzezinski’s direct statements testified: “We destroyed the USSR, we will also destroy Russia.” “Russia is a dispensable state, anyway.” “The orthodoxy is the main enemy of America. Russia is a defeated country. It will be divided and put under guardianship.
In 1990, Joseph Nye, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an ally of Zbigniew Brzezinski introduced the term “soft power” or “smart power” for these methods; the term goes back to the same roots as “Social Engineering”.9
He published his book “Soft Power: The Means to Success in World Politics” in 2005, in which he suggested that America is to become attractive by its culture and its political ideals. The Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, a neo-conservative think tank, whose board of directors hosts Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski, established a Commission on Smart Power in 2006, headed by Joseph Nye and Richard Armitage. In 2009, the commission published a memorandum “A Smarter, More Secure America”, which aimed at enhancing America’s influence in the world by “soft” methods.10
First successful application of the new strategy: the Perestroika
For the first time these new methods were used as a strategy in the “Perestroika”, when Mikhail Gorbachev came to power. The Perestroika had its positive aspects; it re-established the freedoms of opinion and of movement, but it was also a substantial instrument of influence of the West.11 Within the Central Committee, the CPSU and the nomenclature a group emerged, which shifted to the positions of the West and aimed at introducing the western neoliberal system
Western organizations for cultural influence in Russia
In the perestroika era the lodges and their run-up organizations were permitted again.13 On Kissinger’s request, Gorbachev permitted the establishment of the B’nai B’rith lodge in Moscow in May 1989. Since that time about 500 lodges have been founded in Russia by the Grand Lodges of England, France, America, etc. At the same time more open organizations, clubs, committees and foundations were established for politicians, businessmen and members of the professions that had no relation to the rituals, but shared the principles of the lodges. There are several thousand members of Masonic lodges in Russia who participate in the rituals, but in addition there are ten times as many members of the “maçonnerie blanche” (white masonry), who take no part in rites but accept the principles and are led by Masonic brethren.
Within the framework of his program, the foundation published text books in which Russian history was presented in the neoliberal, cosmopolitan sense.
In 1992, the Russian branch of the Rockefeller Foundation called Planned Parenthood Federation was founded in Moscow and in 52 further Russian cities. The foundation attempted to introduce the subject “Sex Education” in all Russian schools, a subject which was actually intended to destroy the family and reeducate the people towards the ideal of a new human being. This project was not successful, because officials of the Ministry of Education, teachers, parents and the Orthodox Church resisted; the project was rejected at a conference of the Russian Academy for Teacher Training in 1997
The western influence on the educational system and the media
An important long-term target of western lobbying has been the educational system and higher education. After the 1991 turnaround, centralism and Marxist ideology were eroded with the help of western advisors. The 1992 Education Act and the constitution of the Russian Federation of 1993 established a profound reorientation of the educational system following the western model of the neoliberal-democratic paradigm. It included the introduction of free market elements in the educational system and the construction of a civil society.
Granting western credits to the educational system was closely linked to its compliance with the donors’ requirements. In this way the educational system was transformed according to the neoliberal concept.
The resistance of the Russian state and the intelligentsia
One means of the cultural war was the campaign of the western media against Russia, which has been going on for ten years, now, especially since Khodorkovsky was arrested in 2003 and the slogan of which is “Russia on the way back to the Soviet system!” A further example is the so-called persecution of progressive artists, which is said to consist of the removal of so-called blasphemic and pornographic works from public exhibitions. These were, however, mainly provocations by NGOs financed by the west. The Sakharov Center, whose aim is to implement the open society, organized an exhibition in 2003 called “Caution! Religion”, which also showed blaspheme and anti-Christian exhibits. Thereupon the Duma demanded to take action against the leadership of the center from the public prosecutor’s office. In 2005 the organizers were adjudged to a penalty.
Religious renewal
The decisive resistance against westernization today comes from the Orthodox Church, which is anti-modernist and traditionalist. The Orthodoxy advocates traditional values such as marriage, family and maternity and rejects homosexuality. The churches are full, predominantly with young and very young people. The majority of the young people confess to orthodoxy, i.e. to Christianity, and marries in Church, again. There are again 100 million faithful, 30 000 priests and 600 monasteries. The Clerical Academy in Sergyev Possad is filled; there are four applicants for one place. There is an orthodox radio station, a publishing house, a number of magazines, military clergymen in the army as well as a hospital and a prison ministry, and in the schools Religious Education has de facto been reintroduced for the first time since 1917. According to a survey, 70% of the Russians call themselves religious.
In 2007 the Russian-Orthodox Church and the Vatican decided to resume talks in order to eliminate their differences of so many years. Archbishop Ilarion, head of the Foreign Office of the patriarchy, former Russian-Orthodox bishop of Vienna, commented that “We are allies and face the same challenge: an aggressive secularism.”35
Orthodoxy is called the “religion of the majority” in Russia. On 4 November, the day of nationhood in Russia, I could observe an unusual procession on the Red Square. The Patriarch walked in the first row, the leaders of the Islam, the Jewish community and the Buddhists in the second. That was meant as a visible symbol: “The Patriarch is the head of the predominating religion. He unifies the faithful and promotes the co-operation of the religious communities. The Patriarch is the mental leader of the whole people, not only of the orthodox believers.
Conclusions
Nowadays, Russia finds itself in a crisis, which is first expressed in the financial and monetary system, but has also hit the cultural sector. Its deeper cause is that the pluralistic secular society does not provide the people with a real community, a world view and a sense in life.
Russia does not need the “materialistic and egoistic culture” of the present western society, but a universal national ideology, which includes all aspects of the people’s lives, develops the country and averts all danger that threatens the people’s existence.
