Gateway to Hell: The Mysterious Volcanic Hot Springs of Ethiopia

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 27, 2014

Take a tour of this place that’s truly unlike anywhere else on Earth:

About 600 km north of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, the district of Dallol paints a rather curious picture. The former mining settlement harbours a tiny population, last published in 2007 by the country’s Central Statistical Agency as 83,930, and it holds the current record for the highest average temperature of any inhabited place on Earth. Between 1960 and 1966, the average annual temperature was a toasty 35°C (96°F), but the temperature can regularly creep to over 46°C (115°f).

It’s also home to the incredible Dallol Volcano. At 48 metres below sea level, Dallol is Earth’s lowest land volcano, and its last recorded eruption was in 1926. Its craters contains hot springs that boast a whole range of otherworldly colours – including neon yellow – thanks to the hot magma bubbling below the surface. This magma heats the groundwater that flows into the area from the nearby highlands, and as the heated groundwater moves up towards the surface, it dissolves salt, sulphur, potash and other minerals and deposits them in the Dallol craters.

“The supersaturated brine emerges through hot springs in the floor of the craters,” says Hobart King at Geology.com. “As the brines evaporate in the hot arid climate, extensive salt formations are formed on the floor of the craters. These are coloured white, yellow, brown, orange and green by sulfur, dissolved iron, mud and the life activity of halophile algae.

It might look incredible, but Dallol poses quite a challenge to the stream of tourists that brave it every year. If they can stand the heat, there’s always the threat of acid pools and deadly gases to keep them on their toes: “Dallol craters are dangerous places to visit because their surface can be covered by a crust of salt with pools of hot acid water just inches below,” says King. “Toxic gases are sometimes released from craters.”

JULY 27, 2014 OPENING GATES OF HADES?

Back in December 2013, Apple’s iPhone assistant Siri ‘sometimes gives an odd response about “opening [the] gates of Hades,” the Greek mythological term for Hell, or the underworld, when one asks what will happen on July 27th, according to reports.

Gateways to Hell

While in some belief systems, the afterlife can only be accessed by spiritual means, in others, the underworld could be accessed directly from the Earth. Here are 13 real spots that people have thought (and in a few cases, still do) lead straight to the lands of the dead.

Some of these involve the Christian concept of Hell, while others were supposed to lead to other (sometimes not unpleasant) afterlives.

Some of The Places on Earth People Believed Were Entrances to Hell

Erta Ale: In the north of Ethiopia, about a hundred miles west of the southern end of the Red Sea, is a bubbling caldera whose southern most pit is known locally as “The Gateway to Hell.”

The Ploutonion at Hierapolis: The ancient city of Hierapolis, near modern-day Pamukkale in Turkey was once home to a site considered sacred to Pluto, the god of the dead.

Fengdu, China: The 2,000-year-old City of Ghosts, located in Chongqing municipality, has long been thought to be the place the dead stopped on their way to the afterlife, though it seems to have gotten this reputation in a roundabout way.

The Seven Gates of Hell: A local legend claims that in the woods off Trout Run Road in Hellam Township, Pennsylvania, sit the Seven Gates of Hell. According to popular fiction, the gates appear near the site of a tragic asylum fire, and if you step through all seven gates, you land straight in Hell.

Mount Hekla: Iceland’s particularly active volcano developed a reputation as a gateway to Hell in the 12th century, after its 1104 eruption. Benedeit’s 1120 Anglo-Norman poem Voyage of St. Brendan mentions the volcano as the prison of Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus.

The Mayan Cenotes: The Maya certainly had some of the most picturesque entrances to the underworld. These natural underground waterways, located in Mexico and Central America, were thought to be the home of the rain god Chaak and portals to Xibalba, the afterlife. Caves were often seen as gateways to the afterlife in the Mayan worldview, literal passageways between the living world above and the realm below.

Mount Osore: The Europeans were hardly the only folks to believe that volcanoes marked the entrance to the underworld. Mount Osore, region filled with volcanic cauldrons located on the remote Shimokita Peninsula of Japan’s Honshu island, is literally named “Fear Mountain.”

SoS Kerry Not So Caring?

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 25, 2014

What’s wrong with Mr. John Kerry? Doesn’t he look weird?

john kerryEven the Washington Post is asking this:

In the midst of the intense congressional hearings on Syria, many longtime observers had questions that had nothing to do with a possible military strike: Why did Secretary of State John Kerry look so different? His eyes seemed less droopy than usual, his entire face seemed somehow wider.

Many Americans ask why the US administration continues giving billions, and F-16s, to the enemies of its people, while it continues to treat its allies like potential enemies.

These are some of the most mind boggling recent occurrences related to Secretary of State John Kerry

Humiliation in Egypt: Kerry, Staff Forced to Pass Through Metal Detectors

Obviously this is a childish Egyptian theater, but it’s telling that such ‘friendly’ countries like Egypt and Turkey – whose leader just slapped President Obama around for fun by announcing that ‘he no longer talk to Barack Obama‘ – have this much contempt for Obama Inc. that they are pulling this sort of stunt.

What is happening to the Middle East Christians at the hand of Islamists is distressing. It’s a tragedy to which the world is indifferent, unfortunately.

It’s sad that the Obama administration and most other Western leaders have been silent about the Christian holocaust in Iraq, Syria and Sudan— perhaps they’re too busy provoking peaceful countries like Ethiopia to create havoc, instability and political anarchy – busy condemning Israel for the continuing conflict in Gaza. Why? We’ll find out soon — anyway, their hypocrisy, their silence is UNFORGIVABLE!

Sudanese Christian Woman in Apostasy Case Arrives in Rome

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 24, 2014

FreeChristMariam Yehya Ibrahim, the Sudanese Christian woman sentenced to death in Sudan for apostasy but subsequently pardoned, arrived in Rome on Thursday, the Italian Foreign Ministry said.

Ibrahim “will remain in Italy for a short time and then will travel on to the United States,” the ministry said.

Ibrahim’s conviction for apostasy and adultery was overturned last month on appeal, following weeks of international controversy.

She her husband, American Daniel Wani, were subsequently detained for two days after going to the airport in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, accused of falsifying travel documents. They were trying to fly to the United States with their baby daughter, who was born while Ibrahim was in prison, and toddler son.

Iraqi Christians Are Raped, Murdered and Driven From Their Homes – and The West is Silent

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 21, 2014

IraqChristians
“We can read, weep and pray, or read, weep, pray and do something., for these are our brothers and sisters in Christ

For the first time in 1,600 years, Mass is not being said in Mosul: an ancient culture has been wiped out in a matter of weeks. It’s a war crime that, strangely, no one seems to want to talk about.

Mosul is the second-largest city in Iraq and the place where many Christians believe Jonah was buried. Since the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Isis) rode into town, their faith has been forced underground. Bells have been silenced, the hijab enforced with bullets. Tens of thousands fled after being offered an unattractive choice: convert, pay a religious tax, or be put to the sword. The levy was unaffordable. According to one local news agency, Isis troops entered the house of a poor Christian and, when they didn’t get what they wanted, the soldiers raped the mother and daughter in front of their husband and father. He committed suicide out of grief.

Having driven away the worshippers, the Isis fanatics are now trying to extinguish the physical legacy they left behind. A centuries-old church has been burned to the ground; Jonah’s tomb has been desecrated. Isis wants to create the Islamic equivalent of Year Zero, a brave new world with no evidence of Christianity, women’s rights, democracy or even that most subversive of instincts, human pity.

It might seem like this revolution has nothing to do with us in the West, but that’s more than a little naive. The genocide of local Christians did not begin with Isis but with the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Prior to the conflict, there were 1.5 million “Chaldeans, Syro-Catholics, Syro-Orthodox, Assyrians from the East, Catholic and Orthodox Armenians” in the country – living, of course, under the tyranny of Saddam Hussein, but living nonetheless. Today, their number has dropped to just 400,000. Religious violence peaked in the first four years of the invasion and then declined dramatically after the US-led surge. There was a hope that President Nouri al-Maliki would live up to his initial promise to protect religious minorities. But the rise of Sunni opposition to the Shiite regime in Baghdad sparked a second phase of persecution against Iraqi Christians.

Over the border came Isis, a particularly virulent strain of Islamism previously incubating in Syria’s civil war. Bashar al-Assad’s refusal to surrendered power in Damascus has destabilised the region yet further (the use of gas weaponry has a tendency to court opposition) and his own Christians have found themselves trapped in the middle of an internecine Islamic bloodbath: it was one year ago in the northern Syrian city of Raqqa where Isis first experimented with its instruction to “convert, pay a tax or die”. The Syrian patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church has estimated that perhaps 25 per cent of his country’s 2 million refugees are Christian.

The West’s direct intervention in Iraq created Hell on Earth for its Christian citizens, while the West’s lack of action in Syria (out of deference to its failings in Iraq) has permitted a regrouping of Islamist forces and the opening of a second front against Christians. The lesson is: “either leave other countries alone or, if you must intervene, do so with consistency and resilience”. The consequences of going in, messing things up and then quitting with a weary shrug are terrible for those left behind.

Yet, having been so intimately involved in the collapse of Iraq, the West is now bizarrely silent about events in Mosul. The streets of London fill with thousands marching against Israel’s military operation in Gaza; the West rails mightily against the Russian separatists in Ukraine. But of Iraq there is nothing. Why?

It could be that no Westerner wants to return to Iraq, that politicians fear that even discussing the country will lead voters to fear yet another invasion and yet another bloody occupation. Or it could be that we feel embarrassed about the very idea of Christians as a persecuted minority. The reporter John Allen argues that Westerners have been trained to think of Christians as “an agent of aggression, not its victim” – so we’re deaf to pleas for help. That opinion is supported by Ed West in an excellent e-book, and its consequences have been condemned by religious leaders here in the UK. Rabbi Jonathan Sacks has compared the suffering of Middle East Christians with Jewish pogroms in Europe and reminded everyone of the words of Martin Luther King: “In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” It would indeed be awful to think that the West might remain silent as violence rages purely out of a failure to recognise that Christians can be victimised, or out of a reluctance to cast aspersions on certain brands of Islam. It would make this the first genocide in history to be tolerated out of social awkwardness.

The West’s response to Mosul is worthy of contempt: if we won’t speak out for Christians, who will? But any disgust at our own moral cowardice should be balanced by admiration for the Iraqis who continue to bear witness to their faith in a land that moves closer and closer to outlawing it. Their resilience illustrates the difference between fundamentalist Islam and Christianity: the former is a religion of killers, the latter is a religion of martyrs. And for those of us who share the faith of the thousands fleeing Mosul, Jesus’s own sacrifice offers hope – a reminder that victory is guaranteed for those who endure: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Whatever your faith, please pray for the Christians of Mosul.

In the selected COMMENTS below many cry out the deepest and most anger filled opinions:

“Christianity is under a bloodless-siege by elements within the state here, so its not surprising that massacres go unmentioned in the middle-east. If our Archbishop had any spine he’d be lobbying parliament and the UN right now but he’s too busy placating the progressives.”

“Can you imagine the howls of outrage all over the Muslim world if Christians in the UK made similar threats to Muslims here?
Let’s have a straight swap, our Muslims for their Christians one for one.”

“Why no outrage? Because hatred of the Gospel has been the most fundamental commitment of the left since the French Revolution, and in a lot of places in the West the left is in charge of, if not the whole government, at least foreign policy, and everywhere is in charge of the media culture”

“The West bombed Orthodox Christians in the Balkans to steal their land and give it to Muslims. The U.S. and fair swaths of Western Europe won’t recognize refugee status claims from Christians fleeing Muslim persecution, but cheerfully admits droves of Somalis. The multiculturalist left, which is the pointy end of the left’s hatred of Christianity these days, sees Muslims as the enemy of their enemy.”

“Christians in the West seem to be embarrassed to stand up for what they believe and speak out on behalf of their co-religionists. They are responsible for this even if Western society is broadly hostile to them and include many who are quite happy for Christianity to be extinguished in the Middle East.”

“For the first time in 1,600 years, Mass is not being said in Mosul: an ancient culture has been wiped out in a matter of weeks.’ And Ramadan is being celebrated in the White House…Isn’t Ramadan the ‘holy’ month? A strange way to celebrate it all over the world at the moment.”

“Christianity is a religion that the political filth dare not speak its name, let alone support it. Still the militant atheists and secularists must be well pleased with the killing, raping and eradication of Christians, and be hoping that an ISIS organization will do the same to Christians in this country.”

“Make no mistake about it. Muslims living among non-Muslims around the world have the same desires as ISIS and other militant Islamists. But those living in the UK, US, or other civilized country simply don’t have the ability to act on their desires. Yet.”

“The jizya, the so called religious tax, is nothing more than a protection racket. Cough up or we’ll kill you is the principle on which it works. The Kray twins and Al Capone ran similar rackets. The jizya was established very early in Islam’s history as a means of fleecing the inhabitants; of stealing their worldly goods or, if they couldn’t pay, seizing their wives and children as slaves. That has not changed one iota in the intervening 1400 years.”

“The Muslims of the Mid-East & North Africa need to be resettled at the South Pole under a UN administration until the technology allows us to ship them off to a new life on Pluto or Uranus”

“Yet another article involving Islam/moslems and horrors. When will our government waken up? The problem lies within Islamic ideology not with a few individuals. As someone has already said, let’s swap the Christians there for moslems here.”

“Christians are murdered by muslims for the simple reason they are not muslim. I cannot think of any good reason for filling this country with muslims when around the world they are hate filled murderous characters.”

“Muslims killing Christians for no other reason than they exist. Meanwhile here in the UK we hear of a dinner lady sacked for inadvertently serving up a non-halal meal to a muslim child. Are we mental?”

“Sadly, the world is distracted by the MH17 crash. That is tragic, but will be on a much smaller scale compared to what is about to happen in Iraq. Perhaps the next load of Muslims who leave the UK to join the butchery in the Middle East could have their plane diverted over Easter Ukraine and have it circle at low altitude for a few hours.”

“The West isn’t silent. It is complicit. The West is furious with Putin because he helped to save the Syrian Christians from the same fate.”

Flight 17 & The Panorama of Peril

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 20, 2014

“We must consider the downing of Flight 17 as part of the larger “panorama of peril” and not fall into the trap set before us”

LuciferiansThe downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 as it flew from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur yesterday, killing nearly 300 men, women and children, currently dominates today’s headline-rich environment. Accusations about who is behind this wholesale slaughter of innocents are serving as the drumbeats for war, and they are increasing in volume and tempo.

Unfortunately, most Americans and those in the West will fall victim to thinly veiled propaganda pushed by the major news agencies and their captive pundits that is deliberately designed to sway public opinion to a specific agenda—an agenda of war. We are being played, and if we don’t exercise our own intellectual discernment to understand how this incident fits into the larger picture, it will be not just be to our own peril, but to the peril of our children and generations to come.

Setting the global stage

To understand the significance of the downing of Flight 17, we must look at the bigger picture and think outside of the box created for us by those in power and their facilitators in the media. We must understand a bit of history, and realize that we are not seeing anything new in terms of tactics or orchestration.

To anyone who has been paying the least bit of attention, it is obvious that the global power structure is being reordered to meet a specific and predetermined design. We are witnessing orchestrated global chaos that transcends partisan politics and has been long in the making. We need to view the current geopolitical events in a panoramic setting, and understand how each of these events are related like cogs in the gear of the globalists. Each geopolitical event of significance is being done by design, but by whose design, when did this restructuring begin, and what is the end-game objective? The answers will not be found coming from the mouths of our leaders or the captured fourth estate. You must look deeper than the sound bites that are creating the drumbeats of war.

As I have previously written, it is important to understand that the Arab Spring was planned far in advance and was not spontaneous. It was never about establishing “democracy” or freeing the oppressed. So too was the planned overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, and the use of Libya as the marketplace and transit point for weapons of war by a rogue, out-of-control cabal of globalists within the U.S. government and other Western countries.

It was and continues to be war by proxy, where the globalists embedded inside our government have become the captured operatives of a Saudi and pan-Islamic agenda hell-bent on changing the balance of power in the Middle East and all across the northern hemisphere to create a “New World Order.” The problem is that we seem to have lost the capacity to see the bigger picture, willingly turned a blind eye to the machinations of the globalist agenda, or worse, refuse to release our death grip on the false political paradigm. Accordingly and with minimal objections, the restructuring of power is continuing largely unfettered.

This is why and how we find ourselves at this point in world history, where chaos is increasing exponentially. Left unchecked, it will soon make its appearance personal to each of us. Failure to expose the lies and lawlessness of the leadership on both sides of the political spectrum, from the Renegade-in-Chief, his band of in-house outlaws as well as those facilitators holding positions of leadership within each branch of the U.S. federal government, and in addition to the media mouthpieces of disinformation, will most assuredly lead us to global war.

Flight 17: The 21st Century Lusitania?

What, you might ask, does this seemingly redundant recap of recent history have to do with a single passenger plane that was shot down over a war zone? Was it merely a tragic, isolated and unforeseeable event? Based on careful analysis and information into the larger agenda given to me by inside intelligence and financial sources, I say “no.” The reason, I contend, behind the downing of Flight 17 is much more nefarious than I’ve seen discussed elsewhere. Simply stated, it is my belief that we are witnessing the run-up to World War III. We must look through the prism of history to see how Flight 17 can easily become the spark that ignites the dry tinder carefully positioned by the global powers, the financial elite, and those vying for a seat at the table of global power.

As a result of the attack at Benghazi, the plans of the globalists were exposed and temporarily sidelined. The Renegade-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, and his co-conspirators within the U.S. State Department and other Western and Middle Eastern countries were exposed as operating the largest criminal weapons running operation in history. The intent was (and remains) to further change the balance of power by ousting Bashir Assad, replacing Assad with a puppet regime to further advance the Saudi-Wahabbi agenda. Syria of is critical military importance to Russia and economic importance to China, so such a plan would cross Putin’s red line.

Despite the obvious, most Americans remain oblivious to the global plans, mostly due to lies that are large enough, repeated often enough, and left unchallenged or reinforced by the media. The “failure” of the initial plans to overthrow Assad were merely a speed bump in the road to the global restructuring. Instead, plan “B” was implemented, which involved the creation and backing of ISIS to open a new front against Syria. ISIS, equipped by U.S. and Western powers, is indeed on a “Death Race to Damascus” as I previously described.

The criminal cabal that exists within the U.S. government continues to poke at the proverbial Russian bear. The Cold War never ended, it merely took on different forms. The Islamic agenda not only plays an important role in this strategy, but they too are being played by the globalists. Regional conflicts and various civil wars have been and continue to be seeded by Western intelligence agencies to change the balance of power. It’s much like merging the Bay of Pigs with the real-life version of the movie Groundhog Day. Given such proxy and asymmetrical wars where the Western alliance is creating chaos against Russia and by proxy, China, isn’t it reasonable to expect some tit-for-tat response? And when that response arrives, what might we expect to happen?

In this most recent campaign of global power restructuring to benefit the global political and financial interests, one element has been notably missing. It’s an element we saw immediately following the attacks of September 11, 2001. Decades before that, it was an element missing from the American populace in the run-up to World War I: the tide of public opinion.

Students of history will recall that it was not until the sinking of the Lusitania on May 7, 1915, that killed nearly 1200 people that the tide of public opinion turned in America. Until then, the American people had no desire to enter the war. With that single incident, where the Lusitania was traveling though an area known for its danger from German U-Boats, and traveling against many warnings, that public sentiment was manipulated. The sinking of the Lusitania turned public opinion in the U.S., and many other countries against Germany. It resulted in the U.S. entering World War I. That single incident became an iconic symbol in military recruiting campaigns of why the war was being fought.

While the leaders and pundits point the fingers of blame to who shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, wouldn’t it be pertinent to question why this particular flight was flying over a designated war zone contrary to standard operational procedures? This flight was in the same area as other military transport planes that were shot down in the days and weeks before. Like the Lusitania, however, warnings were apparently discarded… or perhaps the risk downplayed. Many will dismiss this claim out of hand, asserting that the flight was traveling at too high an altitude and too fast to be victimized by the wrath of regional conflict. Perhaps those making such assertions should make their case to the families of the victims rather than on the media talk shows.

As the photos of the dead are used as tools of propaganda, emotion and demonization, however warranted, overshadows rational analysis and pertinent inquiries. The globalists and their pundit cheerleaders will continue to beat the drums of war, making the case for U.S. involvement, reminiscent of 1915. Those who fail to learn from history, we are told, are doomed to repeat it.

Why Ukraine?

The ultimate control of Ukraine, or who controls Ukraine, is hanging in the balance. The fight for control exists between the West and Russia, or more precisely, a Western multinational interest that includes Saudi Arabia and others, integrated with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and a Russia-China alliance. According to “V, The Guerrilla Economist” whom I have interviewed on numerous occasions, at issue is the “New Silk Road.” That is a physical road—a corridor, that connects China and Russia to Europe for the benefit of the Eurasian trade zone. And most importantly, there can be no EurAsian Trade Zone without Ukraine, which has an economic output second only to Russia.

Lest we forget, it was the IMF that was first entity on the ground in Ukraine as the “conflict” began. It is the goal of the globalists to collapse not just the U.S. dollar and our economy, but take the entire global economy down in order to establish a single global currency. We must not only understand the enormity of the lies being forced upon us, but the magnitude of the agenda. At a time when we cannot get truthful answers to topics ranging from Benghazi, missing IRS e-mails and every other subject of import, and as lawlessness has overtaken our leadership, it is incumbent upon us to question everything.

We are witnessing a very dangerous game being played out by the powers above those we recognize as leaders. This process of global restructuring is deadly serious, and as we’ve seen, quite deadly. As long as we are silent about the evil machinations of the globalist powers, they will continue to advance their agenda.

We must consider the downing of Flight 17 as part of the larger “panorama of peril” and not fall into the trap set before us, for if we do, we will subjugate ourselves and our future generations to the oppression and bondage of a New World Order.

“Christians Are Liers – They Must Convert, Pay Special Tax or Leave

Thousands of Iraqi Christians pour out of Mosul (NINEVEH) after ISIS jihadis give them deadline to convert, pay or face death

  • ISIS told Christians they must convert, pay special tax or leave Mosul, Iraq

  • If they did not, there would be ‘nothing for them but the sword’, it declared

  • Deadline of noon (9am GMT) today was relayed by mosques in the region

  • Christians have now joined Shiite and other refugees in nearby Kurdistan

  • Chaldean patriarch: ‘For first time in history, Mosul is empty of Christians’

  • Militants enforcing an extreme Islamic law launched offensive on June 9

Thousands of Iraqi Christians today poured out of Mosul after ISIS jihadis gave them an ultimatum – convert, pay or face death.

The Islamic State terror group declared that Christians must either convert to Islam, pay a special tax or leave the city, around 250 miles north-west of Baghdad.

If they did not do so by noon (9am GMT) today, there would be ‘nothing for them but the sword’, it said.

As militants attempted to break government defences in strategic areas and edge closer to Baghdad, Christians fled to join hundreds of thousands of Shiite and other refugees in the neighboring autonomous region of Kurdistan.

Their escape to the safety coincided with the expected homecoming of Iraq’s Kurdish president, Jalal Talabani, after 18 months of medical treatment in Germany.

Chaldean patriarch Louis Sako, who heads Iraq’s largest Christian community, said the terrifying ultimatum had been relayed by mosques in ISIS-controlled Mosul.

He told AFP: ‘Christian families are on their way to Dohuk and Arbil [in Kurdistan]. For the first time in the history of Iraq, Mosul is now empty of Christians.’

Trojan Horse Pupils: Christians Lie and Wives Must Have Sex or Go to Hell

Inquiry commissioned by Birmingham City Council reveals details of religious extremism in 13 schools

Children were taught that all Christians are liars and attempts were made to introduce Sharia law in classrooms as part of an alleged ‘Trojan Horse’ takeover plot of Birmingham schools, an inquiry has found.

The inquiry commissioned by Birmingham City Council found evidence of religious extremism in 13 schools as school governors and teachers tried to promote and enforce radical Islamic values.

Schools put up posters warning children that if they didn’t pray they would “go to hell”, Christmas was cancelled and girls were taught that women who refused to have sex with their husbands would be “punished” by angels “from dusk to dawn”.

The report found that the extremism went unchecked because the council “disastrously” prioritised community cohesion over “doing what is right”.

It concluded that there was a “determined effort” by “manipulative” governors to introduce “unacceptable” practices, “undermine” head teachers and deny students a broad and balanced education.

A detailed summary of evidence suggested that there was an attempt to introduce Sharia law at the Al-Fuqan school, and when a woman was recommended for a job on individual suggested a “man with a beard” was needed.

At the Golden Hillock School a teacher allegedly told children at an assembley “not to listen to Christians as they were all liars”. The incident was referred to counter-terrorism police. One teacher at the school also reportedly told children they were “lucky to be Muslims and not ignorant like Christians and Jews.”

At Nansen School the study of French was replaced by the study of Arabic and Islamic religious assemblies were reinstated. Christmas and Diwali celebrations were councils, and children were not allowed to use a doll to represent Jesus in a nativity play. A total of 28 female teaching assistants were dismissed.

At the Oldknow academy, children were told at an assembly that they should not send Christmas cards and that Mary was not the mother of Jesus. Children were asked whether they believed in Christmas and encouraged to chant “no we don’t”.

Malaysia Flight 17 – IMF-boss Occult Message Connection

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 17, 2014

Back in March 2014 Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 disappeared on carrying 227. The Boeing 777 had left Kuala Lumpur at 00.41 for Beijing

And today, on 17/7/14 Malaysia Airlines flight #MH17, a Boeing 777 is shot down over Ukraine, apparently after being built 17 years ago.

Perhaps the speech made in January 2014 by Christine Legarde in the video below has an occult message to shoot this plane down – maybe as a false flag to further their lunatic agendas?

In April, 2014 The International Monetary Fund has approved a two-year $17.1 billion loan package for Ukraine

Watch out for those folks whose names sound, “Christine”, “Christina”, “Christian”, “Christiano”….!

How Admiring the Sunset Changes You for the Better

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 16, 2014

A glorious sunset is the epitome of fleeting beauty. For a few minutes, the sky is a spectacle of color — and then it’s over. Yet the psychological effects of admiring the sunset may persist long after the color has faded.

Studies show that appreciating natural beauty may boost well-being, increase generosity and enhance life satisfaction. The key is to actively engage with the experience. To reap the rewards of that sunset, you need to stop whatever else you’re doing and really notice and appreciate the show in the sky.

3 Benefits of Sunset Gazing

Allowing yourself to be captivated by a sunset may have a number of psychological benefits.

Emotional well-being. In general, people who feel connected with nature report being happier and having more positive emotions than those who don’t share this connection. Yet it’s clear that some people get more joy from an hour in the park than others.

A recent study led by Jia Wei Zhang at the University of California, Berkeley, helps explain why: Researchers found that connectedness with nature only predicted well-being in people who were attuned to the beauty of nature. Need to tune up your awareness of natural beauty? It’s hard to beat simply sitting outside and soaking up a stunning sunset.

Concern for others. Another study by Zhang found that the positive emotions aroused by natural beauty led to increased prosociality — feelings and behaviors characterized by concern for others. In one experiment, volunteers first looked at pictures of nature scenes and then played a game, which allowed them to be generous or stingy about giving away points to other players. The nature images had been pre-rated to determine how beautiful people thought they were. Volunteers who viewed beautiful nature images gave away more points, compared to those who viewed less attractive pictures.

In short, it wasn’t just looking at nature that put people in a generous mood. It was perceiving the beauty of nature — and a sunset is a prime example of that.

Satisfaction with life. Beauty enriches life, making it more rewarding. One study found that greater engagement with beauty was associated with higher levels of life satisfaction, gratitude and a spiritual outlook. The association was strongest for engagement with natural beauty, as compared to artistic beauty (such as a painting, symphony or poem) or moral beauty (such as an act of charity, loyalty or kindness).

One theory is that appreciation for the beauty of nature is so powerful because it’s instinctual rather than learned. There’s a natural tendency to stop and stare at a breathtaking sunset. When you do so, you’re likely to be caught up in the moment, and your mind gets a break from fretting over the past or worrying about the future. Afterward, you feel refreshed, and life just seems a little better.

Women: Posting Sexy Photos on Facebook Can Make You Seem Stupid

FaceBYoung women and girls who post revealing pictures on social media are seen as less competent and less attractive by their peers, a new study shows

Girls who post ‘sexy’ pictures on social media sites are seen by their female peers as less pretty, less likely to get a job done and not someone they’d want to be friends with, a new study shows.

The Oregon State University asked 58 girls aged 13-18, and 60 women aged 17-25, what they thought of a girl when her Facebook profile picture was ‘sexy’, and when it was ‘conservative’.

Researchers found that the less revealing pictures scored the highest in terms of the girl’s perceived physical attractiveness, social attractiveness and task competence.

The biggest difference was found in task competence – those girls with ‘sexy’ photos were seen as not able to complete a task.

This is a clear indictment of sexy social media photos,” said researcher Elizabeth Daniels, an assistant professor of psychology who studies the effect of media on girls’ body image.

There is so much pressure on teen girls and young women to portray themselves as sexy. But sharing those sexy photos online may have more negative consequences than positive.

Ulster Sorry For ‘Ethiopia Photo’

Posted by addisethiopia / አዲስ ኢትዮጵያ on July 12, 2014

Ulster Rugby has apologised over a photograph posted on Twitter which showed two of the team apparently dressed up as Olympians from Ethiopia – with black make-up on their faces and arms.

Ulster players and Irish internationals Chris Henry and Paddy Jackson are pictured alongside three other men, all wearing Ethiopia’s colours and carrying a flag of the African country.

While the picture has since been removed from Twitter, it was recently used as a banner image at the top of Jackson’s profile on the social networking site.

In a statement, Ulster Rugby said: “Ulster Rugby would like to apologise unreservedly for any offence caused by a photograph posted on Twitter of some players at an Olympic-themed fancy dress party held two years ago.

“It was not the intention of the players to cause upset and the photograph has since been removed.”
