20% of Americans Believe Vaccines are Linked to Autism

…and 15% Think the Government Controls Minds with TV

“Do you believe that shape-shifting reptilian people control our world by taking on human form and gaining political power to manipulate our societies, or not?”

This was one of the 20 questions in a survey conducted by the American firm Public Policy Polling (PPP) and released yesterday

The Atlantic Monthly has gone to great effort to organize the questions from most to least believed (JFK ranked highest at 51 per cent; the Bush administration intentionally misleading the public into war with Iraq came in second at 44 per cent).

But back to the lizard people. It seems 4 per cent of respondents think reptile hybrids run the world. As the Atlantic Monthly points out, that translates to more than 12.5-million Americans.

Study the findings for long enough (because it’s a slow news day) and you can draw your own macro theories – or at least find some cold comfort. For instance, it’s unlikely that the people who believe in lizard leaders also believe that Obama is the anti-Christ.

Woman Claims She Died and Woke Up With God in Heaven

‘I Saw an Immense Brightness’

Crystal McVea appeared on the show, author of “Waking Up in Heaven,” described the supernatural experience that hed her to an alleged encounter with the Almighty.

McVea said that her body took on an overdose of anesthetic during a surgery which led her to have an experience she describes as standing in heaven.

“What did it look like?” Carlson asked.

“I fail to find human words that can describe what I experienced while I was there,” the published author replied.

“What does God look like?” Carlson continued.

“I saw an immense brightness – a brightness I could feel, taste, touch, hear, smell – that infused me,” McVea replied. “Not like I had five senses, but maybe like I had 500 senses.”
